The Front Lines: L.T. Season 01 Episode 07

The Javeline was flying across a battlefield with Spider-Man riding passenger alongside Aquagirl with Gear at the controls. "Alright you two, time to hit the drop zone. You'll take out the ground troops and I'll take out the remaining warships." Gear had explained to them.

"Alright, no problem." Spider-Man spoke saying that they'd be able to handle the troops for them and Aquagirl nodded in agreement.

"You can drop us when you're ready." Auqagirl stated to the super genius who opened a hatch and the two jumped down out of the Javelin through it. They'd landed down on a cliff watching the fightning going on below ready to take out the enemy forces. "Well, you take the fiveundred on the left, I'll take the five hundred on the right."

"Forget that I'll take five hundred and one." The Wallcrawler answered back and then jumped down to go join in on the fightining though when he struck someone with his left hand he'd pulled it back and held onto it as if it had actually hurt to do so.

"That's the spirit." The Atlantean princess answered back going to join in the fighting as well and they'd started taking down the bad guys.

Gear had shut down the alien's tech thanks to a nullification device and eventually gotten the two sides to signs a peace treaty before then heading back to the ship to get back to the base on earth. When they'd gotten there the first thing Spider-Man did was go get a shower to relax and we see that he had to wrap bandages around his left hand before putting his costume back on.

"Yo, Spider. Nice timing, we got another mission to hit." Gear called out with a wave telling him that they were now heading out to take down another issue.

"Please tell me this one is a little closer to home." He'd sighed about already having another mission. "We just got back from that long trip."

"Ya, hero's work is never done. Still this one thankfully is on Earth. We're taking down a man named General Kafka." The super genius answered back about their next job.

We cut to the two alongside Aquagirl once more and they were atop a cliff watching some men at the bottom and they'd gone in taking them out as they'd been shot at but no one was hit thankfully, these people weren't very decent shots that's for certain.

Gear had used a new kind of Zap Cap to blow the door once they'd taken out the guards and they'd gone in with the general questioning "How much collateral damage have you heroes caused this time?"

"Don't kid yourself, we preserve peace. It's you and that living metal you're wroking on that'll cause harm to innocent people." Gear stated about what General Kafka was working on.

"This living metal will level the playing field between the dangers of you heroes and my country." Kreegar stated to them in response.

Gear and Aquagirl had started fighting while a voice called out "Spider-Man." and he'd turned to see a familiar and unfriendly face walking out of the shadows. "You don't belong here Spider-Man. Leave now, so that my pawns may finish the game that I've set in motion."

"Equinox? You're working for Kafka?" Spider-man questioned the unhinged man that stood in front of him now.

"Think bigger Spider-Man. I answer to a higher order, concerned only with maintaining balance in the world." Equinox answered back about what he's doing there.

"Then you'll excuse me as I tip the balance in favor of the heroes." Spider-Man stated and took off to go help the others deal with the remainder of the bad guys.

Equinox sliped back into the shadows while he was helping out Gear and Aquagirl. Though Kafka had set off explosives in the base trying to escape, this had unintentionally madde the metal pour out onto him. The Heroes managed to escape as the building came down on top of General Kafka.

"I guess that's the end of Kafka, we should report back." Gear spoke up about leaving and so they'd taken the Javeline and left.

While they were leaving there were reports of a man made of living metal attacking a nearby city and Aquagirl questions "What? You don't think..?"

"It's possible. Either way we should still check it out." Spider-Man answered back as they'd turned around and flown back dropping down into the city below with the Javelin on Autopilot to find somewhere safe to land.

"Kafka, is that you?" Aquagirl questioned the metal man that was attacking the city launching out pieces of his body as the civilians were taking cover.

"Kafka is gone, there is only Shrapnel now!" The Metal Man had then called out to them taking on a new identity and began to attack them with the three dodging.

"Spider-Man." The voice of Equinox called out walking from out the shadows. "I warned you not to interfere."

"Again? What do you get out of all of this Equinox?" Spider-Man questioned the strange man in front of him.

"What do you get out of this?" Equinox questioned repeating the question back to the Webslinger in response.

Spider-Man stopped and moved his body as if he'd seemed saddened by the question before stating "It helps me sleep better knowing that I'm helping to keep the people I care about safe. I made the mistake of not being there for someone once, never again." He'd answered back about why he was playing the hero.

"To protect others, a noble cause for a hero of justice. But it is those same scales of Jusice, balancing right and wrong that seem to make our goals quite similar wouldn't you think?" Equinox answered back.

"No, I wouldn't." Spider-Man answered back throwing a Spiderrang at Equinox who used some sort of magic to turn it into an actual large spider surprising them.

"They say the flapping of a single butterfly's wings can stir a wind on the other side of the world." The man in the black and white costume stated to him. "Ever wonder what happens when those butterflies fall into your webs?"

"You heroes are at fault here! You came to my country to stop a war and destroyed an innocent village in the process. Crops, farmland, all gone. The Farmers survived to try to rebuild, but I survived for revenge!" Kafka, or rather Shrapnel, had called out while fighting against them.

"The people are more important than those buildings, and we then sent someone in to help rebuild it and made sure they had enough supplies to last them until they could start harvesting again on their own!" Aquagirl yelled at the metal man about how insane he sounded.

"That does not change the fact that the village was destroyed in the first place!" Shrapnel yelled angry about what happened. It was clear this man was entirely unhinged.

"Look at the clumsy dance of devistation Spider-Man. I couldn't have choreographed it better myself." Equnox stated as Spider-Man had started to run to help his allies as a branch had falling from a tree on top of him but he was easily able to dodge it. "Oh right I did choreograph it."

"You're insane Equinox. You call this balance?" He'd state punching them in the face sending them skidding into the street.

"Maybe not right now, but soon. When the loss of one village is offset by the destruction of another." The man in the strange costume answered back while standing up. "Tick Tock Spider-Man."

The Webswinger ran off to handle the meltdown happening while Gear and Aquagirl continued to stand against Shrapnel. "Let's try a different approach. Since fighting back doesn't work let's let him tire himself out." Aquagirl suggested using her Hydrokinesis to throw Shrapnel into the water and dove into it letting him swing at her as she continued to dodge by swimming around.

Spider-Man meanwhile was trying to shut down the power to the plant and Equinox had stopped him from getting into the systems stating "It's too later Spider-Man."

The wallcrawler then webbed Eqinox who'd grabbed it and yanked them over to him slamming his fist into their head knocking them into part of the plant and making them groan while getting up. "Destroying one city won't make up for the destruction of another Equinox." He'd stated as the strange man walked over to him.

"The Universe requires Equilibrium. Without it everything deteriorates into Chaos." He'd answered the webswinger back knocking them into another part of the plant again and walking over with his hands behind his back. "You of all people should appriciate my efforts. You maintaine both fear and joy by taking on the mantle you've inherrited. But that's what makes you such an interesting opponent. Those that know you as an enmey fear and even respect you. But those that know you as a friend love and admire you.

Gear, seeing the man that was standing over Spider-Man, had thrown a zapcap restriction cable at Equinox tying him with the cables and Spider-Man took that opportunity to run over and bash his way into the room with the rods and began to force them down into the cooling water while the countdown was going. Aquagirl had come in and see what was happening with Spider-Man, Gear, and Equinox and tried to help out too.

The Webswinger had actually managed to shut down the machine and keep it from overloading and dropped onto his back with Equinox appearing in front of him. "NO! Not this way, Not Now. It's not yet right!" He'd yelled out in frustration at Spider-Man laying on his back. "Those webs of yours have stirred up a hurricane that evin I couldn't forsee."

"My life, my rules." Spider-Man stated and coughed a bit. "You don't control my fate Equinox. My life is mine to sacrifice."

"I beg to differ." The Blance obsessed man stated to him and used his powers to heal Spider-Man of the radiation poisoning and vanished as Aquagirl had come in and got him out alongside Gear.
