-Damian's POV-

It was that bad.

It was probably the worst thing that he had ever eaten in fact, but he put up a smile when Yor asked,

"So how is the food?"

Damian nodded,

"Yes, very good."

Yor stood up beaming as Anya shot him a worried look. He shrugged, what could be the harm in saying that?

"Here are some leftovers for you to take back home, Damian. I would love to have you over again for dinner sometime soon!"

She placed three tupperware boxes on the table in front of him as Damian continued feigning a smile. Loid stared at him, glaring at him.

"In fact, you can have an extra serving of the grawpow gai (which looked nothing like any grawpow gai Damian had ever had before) I made!" Yor laughed excitedly, scooping some along with some rice into Damian's bowl. Even the rice looked burnt and hard.

Damian sighed. Even he, a spoiled rich brat, could cook rice properly.

"Oh no, don't worry, I am so full from everything I ate."

Loid glared at him intensely,

"No, we insist. If you love it so much, you should have room for more."

Damian watched as Anya stifled a small giggle shooting her a begging face, pleading silently for salvation,

"Mama, Papa, why don't we have a cup of coffee with Damian? He can always take this to go also."

Damian thanked Anya mentally, hoping that she would read his mind. She did, based off the smug smile on her face.

They all sat down, Yor handing everyone a mismatched mug, and getting herself a cup of water,

"Apparently it's not good to drink coffee for the baby," Yor mourned as Loid laid his head on her shoulder. Anya was resisting the urge to gag.

"So Damian Desmond, what are your intentions with my daughter?" Loid continued to glare at him. Loid had once been someone Damian admired, but now

He was fucking terrifying.

"I want to date her, sir. I want to make sure that all her dreams come true and that no one ever hurts her. I promise that I will be a good boyfriend to her and treat her right. I know that she and I have had moments where we hated each other, but I know that living without her wouldn't be living right. Whenever she leaves me, I feel incomplete and when she's here, it feels so right. Seeing her with someone else seems like fucking torture and would kill me I know. I would spend the rest of my life with her, if she wants me to."

Loid scoffed,

"Please, all of that garbage is ridiculous. It is so much fluff to hide behind how you want to corrupt my daughter. I won't let you hurt her."

Yor scoffed, placing a hand on his shoulder,

"Loid, calm down."

Loid stood up,

"Yor, how can you remain so calm when this wolf in sheep's clothing is here to hurt our daughter?"

Yor laughed bitterly,

"Because I trust our daughter's judgment to do the right thing for her. Loid, you are only hurting her if you don't let her be with Damian Desmond. I am scared too, because my little girl has grown up so fast, but at some point you have to let her go make her own choices. Besides, I think after everything they've been through, that they will last. I made sure of it."

Yor quickly covered her mouth with her hands. Damian raised an eyebrow at Anya who was equally confused.

"What do you mean you made sure of it, Mama?" Anya whispered worriedly as Damian looked on. Loid was holding his wife who had begun sobbing, as Damian tried to make out what she was saying between tears.

"Mama, please, what have you down?" Anya sat down begging.
