Ms Grimwood's Finishing School for Girls where young Lincoln Loud had been transferred to as the sole human and male student as the first step by Ms Grimwood the school's founder and headmistress for the school to branch out and to teach the students how to get along with humans. Lincoln at this out of city boarding school had been missing his family and friends back home and while he was weirded out upon finding out that it was a school for ghouls; he ended up warming up to the place and the students. With his fellow students quickly becoming his friends and then more.

It was on this day that Ms Grimwood decided to invite parents of the students over to get to know more of how their children were doing. Liking monsters; Lincoln had to admit that in most cases he would be as interested as well as excited to be meeting actual famous monsters. However it was realising that one of these monsters was the parent of his girlfriend and how he would react to his daughter's human boyfriend. Especially when this parent was Count Dracula himself.

So Lincoln decided to take a page out of the books by the school's gym teachers and some of his biggest inspirations: Shaggy and Scooby Doo who he had been fans of reading and watching videos about their big misadventures as part of Mystery Incorporated who spent their teenage years investigating monster sightings and unmasking the culprits behind them. They had mastered the art of hiding from monsters and hoped that he could follow their example.

Off course the fact that none of these hiding attempts by the man and his great dane were EVER successful escaped Lincoln at the moment.

Lincoln had found a closet to hide in and was doing his best to keep quiet; hoping not to be found. He heard footsteps and held his breath but his silent praying went unanswered as the closet door was open up and was found by his vampire girlfriend Sibella with Lincoln groaning in disappointment. Sibella had been vocal in telling him up to the date that meeting her father would not be so bad and he could expect an earful from her.

"So this is where you decided to hide Lincoln my dear stubborn boy?" Sibella asked flashing a look as he sighed. "My father has arrived with the others." she said with him sighing some more.

"So are you going to drag me there?" Lincoln asked thinking that he should just accept his fate now but Sibella shook her head to his confusion.

"That was the plan but... I saw through the window that father brought my stepmother with her so..." Sibella told him as she then transformed into a bat to fly into the closest and snuggled up to Lincoln shoulder as she went into his shirt pocket. Lincoln wasn't expecting this but slowly closed the door for them to hide.

Sibella had briefly at times mentioned her stepmother and you could get the impression that she didn't hold high opinion of her. Sibella snuggled up to Lincoln and he felt at peace but through the wall there was Phantasma the ghost girl with a phantom man.

Lincoln landed on the ground and Sibella fell out and transformed back into bat girl. "There you are? Father; you know my best friend Sibella and this is our latest friend Lincoln the human! Really likes ghost and ARGGH! Really excited he was when I said I could introduce him to you one day." Phantasma said and Lincoln remembered being excited upon seeing an actual ghost girl and when Phantasma said that she could introduce her theatre haunting Phantom father to him...

"Nice to meet you young man!" the Phantom said to Lincoln kindly offering him a hand as Lincoln and Sibella got up and Lincoln accepted the hand to shake. They heard sounds and Sibella groaned as she looked behind her to see a human world come up to Sibella and embrace her.

"Sibella dear! It has been too long and you must be shy about answering my letters back!" the woman said excitedly and let go to look down at Lincoln. "You must be Lincoln and Sibella has said a lot about you in her letters to Dracky... I'm Vanna Pira and I'm Sibella's stepdaughter but I know that it's easy to mistake us for like sisters or full blooded mother and daughter!" the woman told Lincoln excitedly and Sibella's eyes rolling gave Lincoln a clue about how embarrassing she found her stepmother.

However her eyes widened as she noticed a bat appear behind Lincoln and transform; "I apologise for my wife's eccentricities; Mr Loud. She somehow has more air in her head than she breathes in." said a voice and Lincoln gulped as he turned around and was met with Sibella's father; the infamous Count Dracula himself. "The famous Lincoln Loud in the flesh; the one driving my dear daughter's heart batty." Dracula greeted Lincoln who was shrinking in fear trying to gather his courage.

Sibella looked worried and was about to intervene when Lincoln gathered enough of his courage to say to Dracula "it's an honour sir; Sibella is a wonderful girl and I can see where she gets her charm from..." Lincoln had managed to put up a smile and Dracula seemed amused by Lincoln's display.

"Sibella has told me about you being a planner and a nerd as they call it from a huge family." Dracula asked and Lincoln nodded.

"Yes sir; 10 sisters in fact and one of my younger sisters Lucy is a big goth... In fact she once set me up with one of her best friends for a dance at my old school named Haiku and she has a crush on you..." Lincoln said and froze as he was mentally screaming at himself wondering why he let his mouth run itself like that.

Sibella facepalmed but Vanna said "could you blame the girl though? Just like you at you Dracky!"

"Didn't stop you from having googly eyes over Shah-Gee when you first learned off him..." Dracula grunted towards his wife and then looked down at Lincoln who looked nervous. "Still though; you seem like a fine young man and I don't think I see any reason to mind you being with my daughter yet." Dracula told Lincoln and he was surprised and took a sigh of relief.

"Really... Thank you Count sir... I was terrified that when I met you that you were going to kill me with a stare and then drink my blood dry..." Lincoln admitted as Dracula just laughed at his statement.

"Don't be silly... My ex-wife wants to be a grandmother one day and that requires you to last until at least adulthood..." Dracula replied and Lincoln jumped and Sibella was embarrassed as she glared at her dad. "Know this though Lincoln; Sibella's heart gets broken then... Well I can make my human familiar who eats insects Renfield think that he got off easy..." Dracula warned him with a whisper to his ear as Sibella decided to take Lincoln away for a moment.

"Well that could have gotten better but still not the worst case scenario... So sorry about my father there... He is mostly peaceful but he can be quite protective and... You see his taste in women now..." Sibella told Lincoln and he laughed.

"She doesn't look too bad and I am glad that for the most part; I'm cool with your dad." Lincoln said and then there was clapping from Phantasma and the Phantom as if this was a show and the young couple forgot that they were there.

"Want to go see the other parents and see if yours' is here yet Lincoln so I can meet him? If not then I am sure that Tanis' dad would like to meet his daughter's brother figure." Sibella suggested and Lincoln nodded as they made their way to the staircase with Lincoln thinking that his parents meeting Sibella should end up better.

For this fic; I decided to go against most expectations and have Dracula be portrayed as he was in Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School, quite nice for the most part.
