Hi there, hello and welcome! I hope you all like my story, I wanted to make this as accurate as possible but at the same time make it my own.
And now for some pilot information: This takes place within the AU where the Ghost Rider exists in DC, although I haven't decided on much I do know I'm sticking with the concept that the demons and their realm that Ghost Rider is associated with also exist in this realm including Mephisto. The Flash story timeline is really difficult to rewrite and so once I get a decently concrete idea of what this timeline is like, I'll be sure to add it. I definitely do not own any of the characters present within this story, I don't own The Flash, Ghost Rider neither do I own DC or Marvel.
S1, E1: Pilot
Barry stood silently at the graves. His eyes hesitantly scanned them, something taking away his attention as if to prevent him from fully reading them. He knew who they belonged to. He spent a long time trying to accept that.
He knelt at the graves, his hand reaching out slowly to brush away the leaves and moss and other miniscule matter that accumulated on the gravestones but as he proceeded, he felt as if he was brushing away a leaf from his mother's clothing not the stone. The brief concept left as soon as it lasted, providing a bitter aftertaste in the back of his mind.
It had been some time since he was back in Central City. He felt as if everything had changed, but then again so did he. He felt so different to the boy who came home running. The boy who clutched his mother crying. That boy's tears had dried up long ago. He swallowed with difficulty, old feelings bubbling up in his stomach that he had difficulty stifling. But why was he trying to stifle them?
He placed a few red camellias against his mother's grave "Hey Mom, I uh brought some flowers. They're the ones you love, I remember you telling me dad got them for you on your first date." He said in hushed tones.
"And Dad I didn't forget about you. I got you this tie. It's the first tie you ever owned. I still remember you wrestling with it and Mom having to help you out. I still remember Dad, I- I haven't forgotten..." He squeaked out, his voice cracking, unable to withstand the tsunami of grief welling inside.
He felt his vision blur, warmth spreading over his eyes as his body tensed up making him rigid. Tears. They fell to the earth alongside his body. No longer was he trying to maintain composure. No longer was he trying to be okay. He cries were silent, deathly silent because after all they would only fall on deaf ears.
Barry stayed in that face down position for a little while. Only getting up after his tears had dried and his mind had settled. He stayed sitting and spoke to them for a little longer, the rawness of his being not fading so easily as he hoped it would.
Sometime later
Barry found himself lost. Both literally and figuratively. He couldn't find his way to where he wanted to be, the streets to him were newer than the emotions he felt at the graveyard. He found a coffee and wandered in, hoping he could call a taxi since he didn't have a phone.
"Sure." The barista replied, pulling out a phone from behind the counter, handing it to Barry.
Barry called a cab to his motel room and thanked the barista, handing back the phone and placed some money into a tip jar before heading out. The cab arrived quickly and dropped him off just as fast.
Sleep came quickly to him. Maybe he was tired or maybe his mind just needed rest that badly.
At S.T.A.R Labs
"Caitlin! Wally! The satellites are picking up an abrupt raise in temperature in this alley, I'm thinking it's an awakened meta. Go check it out." Cisco screamed into a mic, booming his voice all over the labs. Cisco leapt out his seat leaving the role of supporter to their friend. He suited up, clothing himself in his uniform, his guise, his supersuit!
As he was doing so, so where his allies. Caitlin Snow a brilliant bioengineer turned team doctor and frosty superhero and Wally West, a kid with the ability to run faster than humanly possible. Together they had protected Central City for a while, from a range of threats. Now they had a new one.
Cisco breached over Caitlin, himself and Wally to a street connected to the alley. Whatever was happening was escalating to fast for them to wait and see on the satellite so the best strategic move he could think of was safely watch from a distance.
They approached a corner and observed silently, and what they saw shocked them. They saw a skeleton on fire beating up someone. And the beating was getting brutal. Cisco knew they had to jump in, if they didn't that person could be in serious medical danger.
And as if Caitlin could hear Cisco's thoughts vocalised her opinion "We need to stop that Meta or whatever it is. If we don't that guy could die." She firmly said, her eyes slowly shifting into a pale blue as her hair followed.
Her sudden cocky smirk let Wally and Cisco know that Frost had taken the reins, and instinctually they readied for a fight.
Cisco breached himself to the roof, hoping to get a better angle of 'The Cremator'- his own temporary nickname of their foe, when he noticed something strange. More men showed up.
The Cremator stopping his senseless beating and rigidly looked up, his expressionless face discomforting the new arrivals on the scene.
"Ugh! What the fuck is that?!" One screeched out.
"Who cares?! Just get it off Eddie!" Another barked pulling out a gun and firing it at the flame headed freak.
The following fight was a sight to behold. Cisco noticed that the skeleton creature paid no attention to the bullets puncturing its own body, Cisco knew the shells had exited its body but no blood? Even for a Meta ability, this was strange.
The Cremator flitted over to the gunman. His head shifting side to side slowly, watching the gunman like he was an animal in a zoo, just before he plunged his fist deep into his assailant's body dropping him onto his knees.
"I'm jumping in. We need to rescue that first guy, he's in serious need of medical attention says Caity." Frost announced into her comms.
Frost emerged from the darkness and let out a wave of ice, the sudden burst knocking everyone to the ground. Everyone except their new hot-headed friend.
"Get out of here!" Frost yelled at the extras, readying herself in case hot and bothered tried to attack her.
But nothing happened. He made no move towards her. Instead, he opted to watch her, quizzically inspecting her. Despite having no eyes Frost could feel his gaze, it was disturbing. He turned his head back to where his victim was, but they were not there. It let out an unholy growl before looking back at Frost.
"I can't let you go. You almost killed that man, and if we didn't stop you, I know you would've killed the others as well. Come quietly. We can help you." Frost announced to the man. She hoped he would surrender and let them take him in.
"Not innocent." The entity called out as he turned to Frost. He edged forward slowly, locking eyes with her unnaturally.
Frost couldn't look away. There was a hold he had on her, preventing her from moving her limbs. As he came closer, she felt a cloud of guilt crash into her. She felt her knees buckle caused her to drop to the floor, hyperventilating slowly at flashes of thoughts making her feel worse and worse.
"Pain. Suffering. You've caused enough." The voice echoed in Frost's head causing her and Caitlin to worry, affirming the thoughts enforcing their hold on her.
As the entity began to reach his hand out to grab Frost's head, an imperceivably fast boot ploughed its way into his chest launching him backwards into a portal that reopened high above the alleyway.
"Hey Frost, are you okay?!" Wally worriedly asked shaking her by shoulders.
"Y-Yeah." She spluttered out, the cloud that washed over her left as soon as it came.
"But watch out. He can affect us psychologically, might be a Meta Power of his. But then what about the flames." She said aloud to both of her allies and herself.
But sadly, dropping him from such a high height didn't work. Cisco watched as falling entity began slowing his descent by using his flames like a jetpack. It astounded and freaked him out. As he landed, he sprayed bits of debris and lots of smoke around.
As Wally, Frost and Cisco got closer together they all noticed the red flame in the smoke. As they got ready to attack, the flame grew brighter and exploded throwing them to the ground coughing. They inhaled too much smoke and couldn't get their breathing back to normal enough to do anything else.
The entity walked forward, paying no mind to Cisco and Wally only zeroing in on Frost. Reapplying his ability, Frost began to break down once again the weight increasing on her mind incapacitating her as a new portal opened behind them all. The flame headed entity was inches away from her face when a loud gun cock was heard followed by the gun firing, hitting him knocking him to the floor.
"Ramon, are you all okay?" Harry Wells yelled out.
"Gah! Y-Yeah, we'll live Harry." Cisco breathlessly said. "Let's just lock this guy up."
While unconscious the entity retreated, the bone softly retreating revealing the worn-out face of…
