Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Spiderman. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Spiderman; Marvel and a few others do.
The site of a meteorite wouldn't ever be uncommon. Space was such a frontier so unknown that a single species was a flake of knowledge Humanity hadn't entirely inherited.
This made the 'ooze' from the object look all the more out of place due to its purplish-blue hue and the fact that it slowly moved across pavement like a snake.
This was a Symbiote, also known to the galaxy as a 'Klyntar', an alien species many would consider to be a parasite, a blight upon humanity and all sentient life as a while.
This… wasn't entirely true, one very major flaw within that argument was that the Symbiote would feed upon its host, murdering it to give itself sustenance to live.
A Symbiote needed a living host just as much as one could argue they wished to have the creature.
The snake like substance slowly pulled itself towards a limp figure, tendrils… web like strands of goo with fingers, pulled the organism towards the figure.
What the Klyntar didn't know was its new host at all: Karland Adwin.
It slithered toward the man; a very toothy head arose from the pile of muck as it slowly made its way towards him.
The man sighed, rubbing at stubble that had been shaved down to the point it could be argued he was trying to cut the very dark locks from his very face.
His dark black hair matched the covering of hair upon the top of his skull. His dark olive colored eyes narrowed as he sighed and leaned against the tree in central park.
Why would a man like him being busy in the park relaxing? He had nothing else to do currently, and he hadn't gotten another job yet.
Then again? He couldn't blame New York for having no interest in a 22-year-old Private Eye. The man had already failed at being a cop when he resigned to salvage whatever dignity he found left in his soul.
He was so out of his own head that he didn't notice the muck next to him seep into his coat. He also didn't feel it dissolving and then reforming in a replica of the tattered black silk as the man rose to his shaky feet. Karland dusted off boots that were WAY past their expiration date and slowly walked home.
Karland looked at the sky, not a single star to wish upon when he was in need of it… bah, it wasn't like wishing would line his pocket enough to pay a blasted bill.
At this point, lying in a park and getting arrested seem like bliss compared to the annoyance of his life and dead-end job.
Least they kept prisoners fed and clothed. Karland had enough money to wash his clothes, not even close to the amount needed to pay bills.
He walked all the way to his home near the park. Karland walked himself through the motion of buzzing himself in, then slowly dragging himself up 4 flights of stairs to his room.
Karland fished his key out of his pocket and walked inside. He was usually smart and observant enough to notice things like the goop which detached from his shirt. He shivered, but talked it up to wind. Karland wouldn't have put it past anyone to have the piece of crap apartment that he called a home to have a NEW issue at hand.
Karland sighed, kicked off his boots and then passed out on the sofa. He would have known about the creature which slowly took in its surroundings. Any human around could have taken its place.
The Symbiote looked at its host, the beast needed far more then simply a host, it needed food… but it couldn't open the door.
The animal… if it could even be considered sentient enough for that title in the name of other beings… latched itself to Karland once again, slowly popping his arm up with the sound of several joints popping.
The Symbiote slowly forced its host to his feet as he looked around.
"The Hell?" Karland was slowly brought towards the fridge.
He would pass out again, coming to meet his houseguest in the morning when one could expect such a massive reaction between Human and Klyrtar.
Author Note
Phew, first chapter done! I want to point out I was planning to do this story ever since seeing Venom. I am going to point out this story is very… detailed in words and such and isn't a normal superhero story. Next chapter will be in a few weeks and will show Karland meeting the Symbiote and establishing the start of their growth into a bond. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
Ps: I might make a X-Man Story this week.
