2. The Cyber Army.

A Cyber army faces the Doctor and Chloe.

They arrived after a Request For Help (RFH) took the Doctor's Tardis away from their simple intended outing from Chloe's home.
"We can go there again after this distraction and still return in time for your sister's birthday!" the Doctor promises.
After arrival, they immediately vacate the Tardis and so haven't seen the second RFH.

They contemplate the deliberately oversize Cyber army and their few impoverished targets, a village of a few hundred unarmed people in an out-of-the-way place, a remote moorland on mediaeval Earth. No-one else will adequately come to their aid.
Chloe speaks first as they stand there. "We must remove the Cyber army." She knows how she'll do it, and she'll do it singlehandedly (ref. 52).
The Doctor contemplates. There are times when he feels sorry he told Chloe how she might do it. He sighs, but that's in the past; she knows how now. While Chloe's around he recognises that things might be done differently from how he'd have done them!

Chloe looks at the rear-most Cyberman, thinks of being just behind him and activates her personal transport...

She's behind the Cyberman at the back. Immediately, she reaches around the Cyberman's body and twists the protrusion on his chest to disable him. She wonders how long it will be until they redesign this feature!
For her next appearance, she thinks of the same instant as she arrived for the first Cyberman and repeats the action on the next Cyberman. Repeating this is a wearing task for a thousand Cybermen, but she feels it must be done. The Doctor stands on a nearby hill and watches as the whole army suddenly falls to the ground at the same instant.
Chloe re-joins him, looking into his face for signs of approval.
But war isn't the Doctor's idea of fun, nor does he take delight in winning. Someone usually dies and he finds he can't take pleasure in that. Today, the Cyber Command spaceship will recall every Cyberman and go, before gradually re-enabling them all.
"What's up Doctor?" Choe asks. She's seen this look on his face before. The sad, far-away look as he contemplates something, some hurt from the past she imagines. She knows things weren't easy for him in his forgotten childhood.
She's won the day, but she's concerned she might yet lose the battle.

Dalek Spaceship chat.

"Bother!" Dalek Diesel explodes in anger. "They succeeded too fast! Far too fast! Now we have no distraction!"
"I have another proposal," Dalek Axial says. "It will stretch them to their limits! They will have a whole audience of people to protect! I will send my second proposal almost immediately after they've landed so they don't miss it this time!"

Sounds tricky!
