At the Village. Calyrex was being overwhelmed by the many questions of the people as Gloria and Frigid Mane were tantalized by the brew of curry and carrots. Sonia was realizing Yang isn't coming back anytime soon as Peony tapped his foot in thought. "I could swear I've seen Calyrex before... Or then again, maybe not... A-anyway! It's definitely regal of it to have a steed... and that massive head does sort of resemble a crown! It's kingly enough, at any rate! Let's just call this a successful expedition!"

Gloria gave a thumbs up as she put the giant rice pot to the side of a table. "Now that we've opened a new page to some discoveries, I'm going to have a bit of a test run while exploring that big tree. Calyrex, Gloom Hoof and I can give a test run at one of the dens."

She squinted her eyes and gave a mischievous smile before focusing on Brainy, who looked upon a marked note with pride. "I've seen that kind of color before on a honey comb, so that tree's got to be bound to Dynamax." Sonia imagined. "It could very well be, the fruit has to have a flavor that not even a legendary bird could resist." Frigid Mane gave a mighty clop as he couldn't take the temptation anymore. "Brrr!" Gloria gasped. "Oh, curry's done!" Acer rang a bell to call the crowd towards the coming feast and even a subdued Gloom Hoof was drawn to the aroma. Gloria smiled wide. "At the rate we're going, I'll have the other two clues solved before nightfall. So let's serve this up and dig in!"

Some time later.

The strange woman stepped away from a camp her colleague was using. She had a set of binoculars ready as she kept hidden by a lake that has an island in the center. It had a great tree of red leaves, mouth watering red fruit and at the top was white petals with a curled three leaf pattern at the top. She checked with a Rotom Phone, making contact with someone at the main land. "And that's what happened, darling." A chipper man behind the phone whistled and admitted. "That kid's making a fast name for herself. Kind of like how the Tapus got caught once I became Alola's Champ."

The woman remembered fondly. "Very much so. I might have to ask you to lend me Hoopa, but I've heard that this tree is a common gathering spot for three pokemon native to Galar. Once I see what they can do, I'll visit you and watch a match." The man laughed over the phone. "I'll bet that's gonna be so cool! We have Galarian variants that go beyond what their cousins could do and evolve further down the tree!"

"Mommy! Mommy! Galarian Farfetch'd can evolve into a knight duck!" The interrupting girl charmed the woman. "That they do, Daphne!" "And Mime Jr. can evolve into a Mr. Mime that evolves into a Mr. Rime!" The woman gasped at the voice of a young boy. "And we know Mime Jr's around here look identical to the ones we find on Alola. Good observations, Leon." She knew she was missing out on family time. "I'll be with you soon enough, once I am finished with work. Keep having fun." The children over the phone cheered as the adult promised back. "Stay warm and we'll meet at Motostoke!" Blip! The woman huddled into hiding and put on the binoculars, she noticed someone hiking towards the Dyna Tree Hill and realize something was about to start.

Over at the Hill.

Gloria had a sweat from some exploration and slowed her foot work to marvel at the great tree. She felt something familiar about it and heard the shriek of a great bird. She looked up to the sky and found a large, black bird who looked to have feathers of magenta flames on the wings, crest and twin tail. The back of the head had it's pink go over to a pink beak, which lead to a pink stripe down the neck and across the belly and back. It had pink talons to compliment it and a set of blue eyes. The bird munched on the fruit, like it was divine nectar. The bird turned an eye towards Gloria's direction, posed with his wings and cawed.

The girl eeked and heard rumbling from behind, she half turned her head and found a large, yellow eyed, orange, spiky, land running bird with black bolt like patterns on it's wings, around the eyes, black legs and black, spiky tail feathers. The bird leaped to reach above the black bird and had a crackle of electricity before making an attempt to kick the flier down. The black bird flew back and let loose a torrent of black and scarlet flames, the orange bird leaped out of the way and gave his opponent a stare down. The two flew after each other and were forced to move from a stream of an icy glare, given by a purple bird with a long, elegant tail, violet talons and eye feathers that look like black shades that covered blue glowing eyes. The bird crossed his wings to shield himself and hovered without the need to flap. The tension raised and the Rotom Phone gave a blip.

The three birds heard it and looked to Gloria, the girl's eyes had a bit of a shrink and she backed away, waving her hands like she didn't want any trouble. The black bird simply flew off to the sea, the orange bird sprinted across the planes to the north west and the purple bird floated off to the frigid mountain. Gloria realized she adverted danger, took a deep breath and answered the phone. "Oi out! It's me, Peony! Listen, I wanted to ask you somethin'" He stopped. "Hang on, Chief! There's breakin' news on the telly! They're sayin' dodgy bird pokemon are poppin' up left and right. There's this pointy-feathered one in the Wild Area. Plus this fiery-lookin' one headin' to the Isle of Armor. And this fancy, graceful one's apparently flyin' about the Crown Tundra! Wouldn't it be somethin' if they turned out to be the bird pokemon I wrote that clue about?"

Gloria eeked. "Mr. I think they are!" Peony wasn't worried. "Hm, if that's the case. I think I'll call this expedition something like-"

"A Legendary Tree of a Legendary Three!"

The man over the phone felt that was a good name and admitted awkwardly. "Now I've gone and ultra-mega-completely forgot what I called you for in the first place! Well, life's too short to sweat the small stuff! Ta, Chief!"

He hanged up and Gloria was in a fritz on how to handle this crisis, she gasped and snapped to an idea. "I might miss out on this, but Galar's safety is important." She readied a text for Hop and Marnie as a woman's voice approached. "Oh my goodness, if an upstart trainer encounters any of those birds, they're going to be in a lot of danger!" Gloria turned to find a blonde woman in a thick winter coat and agreed. "They're apparently legendary birds, I think I heard of them before."

The woman nodded and had a rather old looking Rotom Dex show an image of each. "They're regional variants of" She started with the purple bird. "Articuno." Then the orange bird. "Zapdos." and the black bird. "And Moltres. I've only heard a few things about these pokemon myself, it seems they're more akin to the hot blooded battles the region is famous for."

Gloria started texting. "Even if it isn't in season anymore, the moment a new kid runs into any of these birds, they're gonna be in for it. I got some friends that will take care of Zapdos and Moltres for us, while I go for Articuno!" Blip! "Why are you interested in them?" The woman gave a humble answer. "I wish to know about their moves and how they differ from the birds I'm familiar with. Just call me Lillie!" Gloria gave a hand shake and took the lead to the mountains, in chase for the Articuno.

At the train station in the Wild Area.

Hop left the train station and was ready to get on a Rotom powered bike as he read the text again. "So, we got to catch this Zapdos that's roaming around here, before it thrashes a kid?" He started his cycle and made for the Rolling Fields. A hiker was running for his life, from a Zapdos that kicked the dirt behind him as a way to taunt the unworthy mortal. The bird noticed Hop was cycling after him, tilted his head left and right as he gotten close and realize the boy is serious about confronting him. Zapdos had a bit of a smile and sprinted towards the dappled grove. Hop was impressed by the speed and went into over drive as a way to keep up, only to find that only works in spurts compared to how constant Zapdos could run. Towards the watch tower ruins to be precise. Hop gasped to an idea and took a fast right as the Zapdos took the longer route around the ruins and towards the road to Motostoke. Crossing paths with the Zapdos and ramming it over. Both rolled to the dirt, Hop felt his leg might have gotten hurt from tripping over his bike and Zapdos was laying in a daze. "Ha! Caught up with ya!" He tossed out a ball in a pitch. "Let's catch ourselves a legend, Raichu!"

Pop!

Out came the drifting Alolan Raichu that saw Zapdos was getting up in both respect and anger. The Zapdos stomped the ground, flapped his wings and shrieked. (Reckless human! That could have cost your legs!) He made a rather gentle step. (Now show me if you can lay claim to my strength!)

The Raichu tilted his head left and right as Hop relaxed and ordered. "Let's start with a fast nuzzle!" The Raichu zipped fast at the Zapdos and nuzzled a shock that left him stiffen. The bird took a jump back, sparkled and leaped to the air. He dived after the Raichu and kicked him to the ground with a thunder bolt of two feet. Zapdos leaped to the other end and Hop maneuvered out of the way, Raichu was going to feel sore and the boy ordered. "Now give a psyshock!"

The Raichu huffed and conjured rocks to pelt the Zapdos that rolled back and tried to sprint a drill peck. Paralysis kept him from moving. Hop made a fast switch to Rooki, hoping he could take the worst Zapdos had to offer. Zapdos sprinted forward and flipped a reversal at Rooki, pressing the Corviknight into the ground and flipping back. Hop tossed an ultra ball that dragged the Zapdos in and popped in an instant. The boy was more frustrated and tossed a timer ball as Zapdos struggled to move. Shake...shake... pop! That didn't work and Zapdos leaped a thunderous kick on Rooki and ripped a scratch in the armor. Hop made a fast switch to Blastoise and tried another timer ball. It popped after one shake.

Hop growled and thought of something. "Hold on! There's this one ball that the Ball Guy said is strong against speedsters!" He brought out a pokeball with the image of a pikachu's tail and yellow orbs for cheeks. Zapdos sparked in an act of defiance and rushed a drill peck on Blastoise. The boy rolled behind the bird and tossed. "Go, fast ball!"

The ball gave a whistle, hit the bird on the behind and dragged him in. It landed and gave one firm shake before clicking. Hop's eyes glistened. "Hah!" He let loose a laugh that mixed with pride and pain. "Hah! That was a rough one! We did it guys!" Blastoise turned around and scratched his chin with a nervous laugh. (I'd just stood there and took the hits!) The boy limped to pick up his prize and head over to Motostoke. "Now come on, we need to sit down somewhere!" He readied a text. "Got that Zapdos, Gloria!"

At the Isle of Armor.

Marnie Morpeko was in a grouchy mood, having to cut off some training to deal with an emergency of legendary proportions. She headed to the wetlands and found maelstrom of dark fire that is chasing the local pokemon away, a boufallant was running away from the Moltres in fear for his life and was mooing along the way. The Moltres squinted his eyes at the buffalo and cawed. (Yay, you better run!)

Marnie brought out her Rotom Charged bike, placed Morpeko in the basket, got on and cycled fast. The Moltres heard sparks, saw Marnie coming at him and scoffed. (Oh, forget that!) He flew off to the Tower of Water in high speeds, with no signs of really stopping. By the time Marnie was close to the tower, the Moltres was out in sea and heading to Loop Lagoon.

He was so far away that Marnie couldn't make track on where he was going, Morpeko grumbled and gasped. (Hey wait a minute.) She looked up and asked. (What are we doing, following him?) Marnie had the idea and looked crossed. "He's wantin' to tire out." She turned around back to the Dojo and waited by the bridge, a few seconds in, Moltres was flying by, looking back at someone he thought he lost.

He faced forward and found Marnie off her bike and with a Morpeko by her feet. The girl gave a mischievous smile to greet him. "Got ya now, ya big chicken!" The Moltres took that as an insult and had a vein pulsing. (Of all the bloody-) He lowered to the ground and his beak showed a resemblance to a smile. (Fine, I'll play your game.)

He flapped his wings and cawed as he let loose an aura of dark fire. Morpeko stepped forward in a spark as Marnie ordered. "Nuzzle 'em quick and he won't be a bother!" The Morpeko crackled and sprinted to tackle the bird, inflicting paralysis and halting the Moltres's first attack. The two faced pokemon went into hangry mode and Marnie made a switch to Grimmsnarl, who saw the Moltres hindered and laughed. The Moltres glared, thought of something violent and caused his aura to darken more. Marnie took a deep breath. "Start with a light screen and keep usin' spirit break until I say stop!" The Grimmsnarl conjured a light screen as the Moltres blew a hurricane loose, the bulk up pokemon rolled out of the way and laughed before leaping to the bird and extending his fur into a breaking fist.

The Moltres was punched towards a tree, shook his head as his aura lessened and cawed into a berzerker frenzy. FLAP! He unleashed a fiery wrath upon the Grimmsnarl as Marnie ordered. "Stop! Go for a lairate and I'll handle the rest!" The Grimmsnarl nodded and twirled into a spin that smacked the bird and left him in a daze, Marnie looked up to find the sun is nowhere close to setting and brought about a timer ball. The first one shook three times and popped. Moltres countered with an intense hurricane that bounced against the screen. The second one popped in an instant and left the bird unable to move. Marnie had a vessel pulsing and lined up a pitch. "Come on, just knock it off already!"

Fling! Tap!

The third ball gave a whistle, drew the bird in and shook before landing into the dirt. Shake! Click! The Moltres was caught and Grimmsnarl phewed and wiped sweat from his forehead. The girl went to pick up her prize and didn't realize she was still smiling. "That was a bully." She let out her Morpeko, to show the result and asked. "This wasn't what I wanted today, but while we're at it, we can see what this birds deal is before we head back home." The two approved of that and lead the way back to the Dojo.

Up in the Mountain of the Tundra.

Bede was reaching the end of his luck against a stubborn Metang that wouldn't just stay in a timer ball already. He and a blue Starmie, with a sapphire core and a bronze ring surrounding the gem, were frustrated as the hail was bringing the Metang closer and closer to a knock out. "UR UR. RRRK!" The Metang and the duo heard that caw. The boy and his newly acquired partner had a look as the Metang flew for his life. A graceful, purple bird was flying to the higher grounds, without needing to flap his wings. The Starmie had a reddish hue and blinked towards Bede. (Better, better! Better!)

The boy agreed and followed the bird towards a roost by the tunnel. The Articuno had a view of the world bellow and noticed the duo approaching, Bede marveled the glowing eyes and the cocky attitude before brushing his hair. "I suppose, you'll do amongst the psychic types 'ere." The Articuno gasped and giggled at the arrogance to rival his own. (Not if my challenger is as dim lit.)

He puffed into smoke and turned into three, the one behind the others raised a right wing and folded back into a pose. The three spun around fast, Bede's eyes caught with the movement and waited for the three to slow down and rotate. The bird that rise the wing was at the right and was circling around. Bede hurried to catch with that one and caused the illusions to disappear. Articuno floated back, raised his wings and gave a mocking caw. (How basic! Now let's see you out wit-) Puff! He disappeared, Bede and Starmie felt something was looming close. Puff! (this!) Articuno appeared before them and declared a challenge.

Bede stepped back in shock and snapped his fingers. The Starmie spun backwards and let loose a paralyzing thunder wave. The Articuno struggled to move, glared at the starfish and fired a beam that left the water type frozen in his tracks. Bede gave out a "Whu-" and switched for his trusty Hatterene, who dodged a hurricane and saw the bird halt his movement.

"Dazzle him!" The Hatterene nodded and unleashed a gleam, the Articuno failed to move and was exposed to another. The Articuno squinted his eyes and channeled a shift that made himself able to move and Hatterene, paralyzed. Bede knew the move used. "A psycho shift?! Hatterene, if you would, use that move we've acquired the other day." The struggling witch nodded, gave off a spark and nuzzled the Articuno for a paralysis. Bede took a deep breath as the bird was halted in his movement once again and tossed an ultra ball that popped in an instant. The boy groaned and went for his bag, realizing he's out of ultra balls, no thanks to the Metang. He went for the next best thing and tossed a great ball. The ball took the bird in, landed in the snow and shook. Shake...shake...shake... click!

The Hatterene ohed as Bede brought out the full restore. "That was certainly worth the work out." Spray! Spray! Hatterne felt her nerves returning and sense someone coming, she put a hand on her face and shook her head. (Not her, again!)

She and Bede turned to find a duo of ladies catching up, one of which is Gloria, who might have seen enough. "So ya found that psychic type you've been wanting?" She squinted at her eyes and pointed to the great ball in the snow. "That bird gave you one heck of a fight, did he?" Bede smirked and picked up the ball. "Wouldn't you like to know." He mellowed. "But I suppose you didn't come all this way just to chase after it?" Gloria shook her head. "I was going to try and see if I can catch them, until they've all bolted in different directions. Some of those routes could have people that are starting out as trainers and we don't want a big scare going on."

Bede felt a very valid point and listened to a Rotom Phone bliping. Gloria brought it out and saw a collection of texts that calmed her. "And it looks like Hop and Marnie had those others taken cared of too." She approached and offered a handshake. "Congratulations on catching that legendary!"

Bede blushed and took the handshake. "You don't need to praise us for that, but it's appreciated." He looked to the strange woman. "And who might this be?" The woman pulled down a cover, showing a perky, young face. "I'm just a Professor from a warmer region. I came for some research and I'm hoping to ask you some questions."

Gloria stepped in between and suggest. "How about we head back to the village and report this case solved? Once Peony knows the birds been captured, we can study their moves."

The woman felt it was an excellent idea and explained. "Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres from other regions; normally go about the types of ice, electric and fire to compliment their flying type. But these are different; going for psychic, fighting and dark." That caught interest. "Now that you brought this up, I have seen that bird use a psychic move that froze my Starmie good." If it would contribute to research, an interview would be it's own reward. The woman brought out a phone to text. "I had my Husband know about the others, he'll ask your friends about what the other two are capable of while we learn about that Articuno."

At the Pokemon Center in Motostoke.

Hop let his pokemon be brought in for treatment while he sat on a chair and felt his legs ache. He heard the door to the Pokemon Center open and saw a man with black hair under a black sports cap with the logo of an Incineroar. He was in a long sleeve, blue light blue top and had long white jeans. There was a short trimmed beard of black and a set of carefree grey eyes. By him where two blonde toddlers, playing with a Mimikyu and a large, strange canine of mish and mashed parts. The girl had wears of fiery red, grey eyes, short pig tails that dangled from behind and an excited attitude. The boy was in wears of a soothing blue, grey eyes and short messy hair, he looked around in curiosity as the Mimikyu, who's rag looked to have been worn over the years, played around with a tendril. The canine noticed Hop and gave a snort of smoke, the man quickly saw the boy and waved. "Hey, my wife is with Gloria when the birds happened and I was given a text to find you. Mind if we talk?"

Hop smirked proudly. "I'm not walking any time soon! So I got a few." The girl giggled. "Hurray, more cool pokemon!" The soon to be teenager laughed to that as the man picked up his children and had them sit at a tall chair, if to join in the conversation. "There we go. We're probably going to see a demonstration, once this guy recovers from..." He had a second look. "What ever happened." The young boy guessed. "He got hurt trying to catch the Zapdos?"

Hop nodded. "A bit, Zapdos wasn't itching to stop unless he was far enough, so I made sure to get his attention with my bike." The Nurse called the boy out on that. "You shouldn't do that with a fast pokemon like that. But it looked like you were the one who got hurt the most!" The adult sighed. "That's what it takes to capture a legendary." He offered a hand shake. "Elio's the name. First things first. You're one of the kids who've found out about the regions legends and used it to save the region?" Hop nodded. "You missed out on that drama a few days ago." The young boy puffed his cheeks and remembered. "You're brother has the same name I have!"

Elio gave a dorky smile. "And we also saw the Champion's Cup a while ago. Least before it got cut out for... something." He announced. "Congratulations on making it that far! That was one of the best matches we've seen from the whole thing!" Hop blushed and tried to dismiss it like it was nothing as the girl noticed another entering and rubbed her eyes dramatically. The Mimikyu turned her true eyes and waved as the toddler tapped the table. "Daddy, daddy, look who's coming!" The adult turned his head casually and recognized Marnie and her Morpeko. He gasped. "Looks to be your lucky day, Daphne!"

He coughed politely. "Just so you know, these are my kids. Daphne and Leon. We are taking a combo of a study trip and a vacation from Alola." The toddlers gave the Alolan greeting and caused Marnie to realize she's about to step into an episode. "Um... I got told to come 'ere with the Moltres? What's the big idea?"

Elio tried to keep his childish glee as professional as possible. "We were planning to visit the region a little sooner, because my Boss has heard about a pokemon showing up here and there. So once we were given more of a reason, we came here as a family group." He looked nervous, for the sake of Daphne. "My kids are big fans of the two of you." The daughter cheered. "Really big fans!" Leon's quite nervous at the two celebrities in his presence. "Y...yeah."

Marnie nearly dropped her mouth as Hop leaned against the table. "Well then, stop by Spikemuth to get a souvenir. Her folks got posters and everything." Daphne gasped as Marnie had a humble smile she didn't notice. "I... didn't think I'd get a lot of cheerin' unless people really know me that well. Some of my townsfolk tried to hamper some trainers for me, even when I didn't ask for it."

Elio shrugged. "I've seen worse." Daphne looked to the Morpeko that is wanting to have a closer look and asked. "Is it alright if I pet your Morpeko? I heard it's mood is different when it's hungry." Marnie helped Morpeko get up and insist. "She's normally a good mannered one, just be careful around the mouth." Daphne smiled in glee and pet the Morpeko as Marnie gave the toddler a pat on the head. "So, now that the 'ello's are out of the way-" Elio brought out a pen and note book. "Right, did Zapdos and Moltres try anything when you got into a fight with them? My wife studies in pokemon moves and a rare one would be worth figuring out."

Hop remembered a particular move. "Zapdos went and give a leaping kick when I tried weakening him. He jumps up in the air and kicks down like he's a thunder bolt. It's a thunderous kick that can rip into your defenses!" Marnie gave her own input of memory. "And Moltres was a grouchy lot. When his hurricane's weren't hittin' for beans, he unleashed a dark fiery wrath. I tried it out at this dojo and it can hit more than one pokemon while giving a flinch here and there." Elio aha'd. "I see, so it's dark pulse but better?" Marnie nodded. "Yup! Feels like it too!"

She added. "Moltres also got really strong once he got hit hard enough for it to matter. Made enough to blow a roof away. I've seen a Drampa do that sort of thing before." Hop recalled what he read from the dex. "Zapdos goes right at ya instead and has defiant. That ability makes him hit harder if someone tries to weaken his stats." Elio woahed. "That sounds really strong, while going along with the types. Nice catches." He kept writing down as the young boy asked. "Is Mommy going to hear a lot of those too?" The father nodded. "If she's with the current Champion of the region, I'll bet she's getting a lot more." He was about done with the note. "So, what are you kids doing after today?"

Hop realize he has to eventually walk back to Hedgewurst soon. "I was suppose to watch over Sonia's lab before this was happening. But now I got a buddy to practice with." Marnie realize that might be a complication. "I was goin' to start preparin' for my new job as the Gym Leader of Spikemuth. It's nowhere near any hot spots, so some new tactics ought to keep it well known."

The children were impressed as the Father bobbed his head. "Not bad." He finished writing down and put the note away. "Alright, I think that's all the questions for now. Thanks for giving the time to tell me." He felt his phone ring and gave it a look, he saw the picture of a sporty staff member with a canine that is wearing a helmet. He tilt his head back in frustration. "Oh come on!"

Hop guessed. "Something annoying is happening?" The man nodded and had a Rotom inhabited Pokedex fly out. "Yeah. Some time ago, someone stole some very hidden documents about a pokemon, my Boss's company had a hand in making. Have you seen this or another looking like it, anywhere before?"

The two saw a picture of a familiar canine and read out the name. Type:Null. Hop recalled seeing it before. "I've heard of that one. My brother said that someone sneaks in a pokemon that can take on any types, at the Battle Tower. But only a top trainer is allowed to have a Type:Null." He shook his head. "He feel's there's something fishy about how that one came 'ere."

Elio agreed with the concern. ""That data originated with the Aether Foundation, a conservation group with a sketchy record. Type:Null was made to handle a sub species of Pokemon from a different dimension. But things didn't go as planned and bad things happened to it." He looked to his big companion who was giving a tense glare at the phone. "Kalden was one of the original three. My boss has the first one and the third's been missing, so that one never got to become a Silvally." Kalden snarled a hiss as Leon asked. "Now they're making them to fight?" Elio nodded and pet the boy. "Like any pokemon oughta. But... this still feels crummy that it's happened under our noses." He had a deep breath in regards to an alibi. ""Our suspect was busy doing something pretty silly with a contest, when we saw some missing data. So, expect the former Champion to be in for... some serious stuff." The implications were pretty heavy and Marnie gave Kalden a petting. "It doesn't feel right, for them to have to fight for a sport. But Leon and your boss ought to handle it fine." Her pig tails gave a twitch. "That reminds me. There's another bunch of Pokemon you might want to know about. It's been bothering Gloria ever since she's got Franken."

Elio recalled. "The ice pokemon with the weird head?" Hop had a scowl at the thought and had his Dex fly to the grown up. "Some lady's been mixing and matching fossils from different pokemon, to make whole new ones. We've heard that they have a lot of health problems and Franken's been shivering non stop."

The Phone dex showed the pictures of Arctozolt, Arctovish, Dracozolt and Dracovish. Elio gazed in horror, Daphne gasped and covered her mouth, while Leon saw what was wrong and went into a crying fit. "Daddy, these pokemon look wrong!" Marnie agreed wholly. "And there's people who got them, not knowin' any better. If you ask me, the lady's a couple rocks short of a fossil, if ya know what I mean." Elio had his Dex transfer the data to his phone and forward it back to someone. "A vacation never lasts long. When is this woman last seen?"

Hop remembered the Royal Crisis a week ago. "She was working with these two royal pains that put Galar in danger, right after the whole incident with the Darkest Day. She made one of each for those brothers to use as extra muscle."

Daphne's eyes watered. "Daddy, can we fix these pokemon?" The father blew to the air, not wanting to flat out say no. "I'm not sure, once a fossil pokemon is revived and put together, they can't be broken back down and rebuilt. Franken's lucky to have been able to live anywhere well at all like this."

Hop agreed with him there. "What can I say, Gloria's that kind of trainer! She's even raised an Applin and a Kubfu into being her champs." Elio inhaled deeply and exhaled. "Thank goodness, she's a trainer that cares about that. I think I'm going to be in for a lot of it when I report back to my boss."

He stood up and readied his children for a walk, Daphne pouted. "Is this over, already?" Marnie tensed, not wanting the little ones to have nightmares over this. "Not yet." She and Morpeko stood up, the Spikemuth Princess asked the aspiring Professor. "I got the rest from here. Let Gloria know that someone knows about those fossils now."

Elio appreciated it. "After we make sure you're back home, injured legs... you know?" Hop took it as a challenge and stood up, feeling sore but nothing he can't handle. "Hah! Don't need the help! Rooki can help me get there nice and sound!"

The adult respected the wish and let his kids off the table, Marnie warned the family. "Spikemuth's a bit dark, but the folks there are pretty nice. Hows'about I show you around and see if you'll find something you like." Daphne gasped and giggled to the thought of visiting her idol's hometown while Leon looked to the dex in concern. Elio picked up the young boy and had Kalden offer the baby girl a ride. "Have you ever heard of this town, on the region of Alola? It's run by a local group of castaways that made it there home." Marnie had a bit of an interest. "I don't think I have." Elio lead the way out the door. "I've gotten some wears from them on the occasion and the leader's kid is friends with mine. They go by the name of Team Sk-"

At Freezington.

Peony was impressed by the logs of the three birds. "That news is enough for me, I s'pose. Let's call that an expedition well done." He took the notes on the Tree and marked it complete as Sonia was squeeing over a fellow Professor being around. Lillie finished her note. "There we go. That's the data on Galarian Articuno, Freezing Glare and Arctozolt's move."

She took a deep breath looked to Gloria and her nervous Arctozolt. "I'm sorry for having a look. But my family takes this kind of topic... seriously. A woman like that is going to be a sneaky one, regardless if she knows that what she's doing is wrong." She advised. "If you wish to learn about the actual fossil pokemon, there's wild ones by the river going to the sea and around the big tree." Sonia was pretty chipper about it. "We've been seeing Aurorus up in the mountain, so there has to be others nearby." Franken tapped his finger tips nervously as Gloria petted the back of his head. "I'll give that a go, once Franken feels better. He's still one of my bestest of pals and has helped won me more matches than I can count." Lillie believes that. "How he came to be, isn't relevant anymore. But the fact he is doing well, is enough to keep me easy at night."

With that finished, Gloria went over to the last of the notes, the one of the strange ruins. "That leaves just one mystery to solve. Bede, Lillie, have either of you visited those ruins?" The rival shook his head. "Nothing about them speak of anything I would be interested in." Lillie raised a hand and smiled nervously. "I... might have tried to gain access to the Split-Decision Ruins, but found I am unable to with who I have with me. I've encountered pokemon related to that mystery, but if you could figure out what's in there." She gave a graceful bow. "Then by all rights, it will be yours to claim." Gloria heh'ed. "It's another legendary pokemon."

She gasped to an idea. "I think I know who might want to tag along and help with this. If you're going to need to learn of the moves, we can let you know about that." Lillie had her Rotom Phone log something as Peony huhed. "What are you talkin' about?"

Gloria readied to leave and asked her rival. "Do you want to come along for this one, Bede?" The gym leader shook his head. " "There's only one other pokemon I wish to find before I head back. How's about, I'll go see how the others are handling their new partners and inform you of any complications?"

That would do and Gloria called Franken back before taking his leave, Bede was feeling a warmth in his heart as the strange woman was given a moment to squee with Sonia. "This is going to be incredible. I've been meaning to congratulate you on becoming a Professor. It must have been a lot of work." The fair lady fondled her hair in glee. "Isn't that amazing? I've written a book about the legend that's been keeping Galar alive for thousands of years." She went to bring the book out while Peony felt confused and took his leave, something about Gloria's plan felt... promising.
