Kaiser.

That name is always something you dread.

But it's a part of you now.

...Or has it always been a part of you?

You don't remember the answer, but if that was the case, you definitely didn't want to be reminded again.

It had all started with the urges you got when smelling meat.

Sure, being half-Puyo had its benefits, but when the Puyo half was literally composed of mainly meat-eaters, this wasn't particularly normal.

After that, you've been showing more bursts of unnatural strength, even more unnatural than usual, really, and you can't help but lash out at those you care about sometimes.

Lashing out at those you love, something you wouldn't normally do without any justification.

Then that happened.

They turned you into them, a physical recreation of their form, projected all of their feelings onto you, their darkness, their rage, everything about them...

You didn't want that again.

You never wanted that again as long as you lived.

You had to help Ringo clean up shop today. You'd promised you'd be there no matter what, right?

As you walk through Suzuran, you make sure that you're going the right way.

But a familiar smell soon tells you that you really aren't.

Fish. Lots of it. Salmon, tuna, red snapper, all of those beautiful colors, yet such an intoxicating scent...

...an intoxicating scent?

No. It can't be.

This was...

This was a trigger! They were going to wake up at any moment and...!

No no no no no no NO NO NO!

Every muscle in your body began hurting as you strain to push down your other self, another personality, another being living in your body, but it's clear they wanted out, and they wanted out now.

You had to run, run as far as you possibly could from that place in order to put them back to sleep.

Of course I have to go and forget I have to repress Kaiser! God damn it!

You keep running, minutes feeling like hours with each pound on the street, only to stumble when the inevitable began once you got far enough away from the city.

They weren't going to go back to sleep. They were going to force their way out, one way or another.

You can feel your ribs breaking as the one part of you that you don't want out started reshaping your body, your body, not theirs, to fit them.

That same breaking feeling, and the agonizing pain that came with it, in your arms soon followed. It was like they were being snapped in half, then those halves being broken in two.

You want to scream in pain, but for some reason you can't.

The taste of blood in your mouth soon alerts you as to why.

Every tooth in your mouth began reshaping themselves, sharpening, growing, even, pushing out of your gums as you felt the sickening motion of your insides seemingly rearranging themselves in your new form.

You were becoming increasingly top-heavy by the second, and things were unfortunately going to get much worse.

You start noticing the fur. Pure white growing on your fingers.

...Was that a paw pad?

Unfortunately, at around the same time the fur started growing, your nails started changing to their own claws, and you're sure this isn't the end of it.

When the quills tear themselves out from the side of your arm, the blood spraying across the ground, your mouth, locked for the entire time as it shifted and with the other changes coming, finally broke itself open as you finally scream, a roar of anguish as your arms suddenly start swelling...

No, they're not swelling. Your muscles are changing shape, expanding, causing your clothes to rupture, your shirt first, then your hoodie, yet your torso still continued to change, the fur having already spread, and now your neck is sprouting turquoise fur, the same turquoise fur that's grown on your stomach, a much darker navy blue complementing it.

Your hands feel cold. No, your entire left arm feels cold. Yet the cold isn't the worst part of it. No, not at all.

Your ribs have to again change shape in order to prevent restriction of their lungs, lungs that were once yours, but not anymore.

This, unfortunately, was accompanied by your face having to reshape itself into their mighty jaws.

As your ribs once again snapped, blood came out of your nose and mouth as you once again roared, both colors of fur now spreading to your face.

That one was certainly loud enough for anyone to hear, but the last sounded like you and they both did it together. This one was only theirs.

The source of the cold became very apparent once you reached your still-mutating hand out instinctively to rend the earth below you.

Ice was covering your fingers. Ice, the very thing you could use to your advantage, now forming on your body.

More quills were bursting out of your body now as the existing ones darkened, some already starting to be covered by the same ice as that on your body, as the fur continued to spread, your ears and tail shifting to fit the exact thing you were turning into.

It's just then that the last of your clothes, your pants, tore apart, your legs now growing in size and muscle as the last changes came.

Now you really started growing as the fur fully enveloped you, snarling and roaring as your body doubled, tripled in mass in order to fully welcome the beast into the world.

The last thing that had to change was who was really in control of your new body.

They push you down, deep down into the recesses of the mind you both share.

You can't control your body anymore. You can't even control them anymore, either.

All you can do is helplessly witness the potential horror they were going to do.

You can't do anything as Kaiser roars, ready to assert their dominance.

You can't do anything.

You can't do anything...
