Impressive
Author's Note: I rewrote Chapter 20 a little bit.
She's a bit less shaken by the time they're in the main area. Donatello shows them the 'chandelier' he's making, and it's really impressive. That could sell on Etsy easily; Taylor knows people who would pay over two hundred dollars for something like this.
She doesn't say this out loud, of course - just that she thinks it's amazing.
"What about you, Taylor?"
Taylor looks up to see the genius turtle looking right at her. "Sorry?"
"I was just wondering how you've been doing lately."
"Oh. I've finished an online course in book cover design, and it's...it's a lot of fun. Turns out I'm not bad at it."
"Oooh, settin' up a side gig!" Michelangelo says. "Good for you."
Taylor smiles. She's in the lair, and nothing terrible has happened.
A week later, she gets back from work to find a man waiting outside the apartment.
