Seventeen years after they had arrived on Earth, Clark and Kara were seniors at Smallville High.
"Alright everyone quiet down, before we begin homeroom I have some new students to introduce," said the teacher as she stood before the class. A girl with her brown hair pulled up into a ponytail and a boy with messy black hair then came into the room.
"Christopher, Thara, what are you two doing here?!" asked Clark as he and Kara jumped out of their seats.
"Our parents are opening a new farm here in Smallville after selling the old one," said Christopher.
"Wait, you four know each other?" asked the teacher.
"They're our cousins on the Danvers side of the family," said Kara.
"Well, if it's a small world," said the teacher with a smile. Later at lunch, the four were eating outside at a table away from other students.
"I heard that you two were expelled from that christian school a few months back," said Clark.
"They threw a fit when they learnt we were dating; last time I checked, the U.S. allowed such relationships between non-blood related siblings," said Christopher.
"Part of Kansas is in the Bible Belt so of course people will be mad about it," said Kara.
"Point taken; by the way, could we stop by on the way home?" asked Thara.
"Sure," said Clark. Later that evening, Clark and the others were at the Kent Farm hanging out in the barn.
"Thanks for helping out, Christopher," said Jonathan as Christopher and Clark held up a tractor from both ends so he could stand under it.
"It's nothing," said Christopher as the two put the tractor down after Jonathan moved out of the way.
"Hey dad, there's something I've been meaning to ask," said Clark.
"And what's that, son?" asked Jonathan as he wiped the oil off his hands with a rag from his pocket.
"How did you meet our birth parents?" asked Clark.
"We knew this day would come; girls, get down here and head to the living room, boys go get the Danvers so we can tell you together," said Jonathan.
