It was over, it was all over. They were safe, they were free. The villain of ages was locked away thanks to All Might. Why he didn't take the heroes quirk was beyond him, but here they were. Standing as they looked up at 'Heights Alliance', their new safe homes. It was all over, it was finally all over!
"Wow, that sure built the place fast." Uraraka gazed up at the building that wasn't there a week ago. "Cementoss and Powerlorder sure do know how to work fast. My parents wish they could construct something like this so quickly."
"Imagine how much money the parts alone took. How they can afford this is beyond me." Jiro looked up as well, eyes wide.
"This is so sweet! I got my own room! I don't have to share with my brother any more!" Mineta's poor brother was probably crying in relief … unless the whole family was like that. Either way, Aoyama felt like every girl in the class was going to get a padlock on their doors.
"We're finally living together, Iruma-kun!" Hagakure cheered, likely already imagining many lovely and slightly perverted sincerios with the boy that she fancied. "This is a dream come true!"
"For the record, this isn't a reward of any kind." Aizawa spoke up. "This is a precaution for safety." The man's eyes turned red as his hair floated. "Suzuki, don't say a word, I'm not finished." The boy, likely about to call him a 'kind man', shut up. "Now then, this is my full honesty … other than Suzuki and Bakugo where were captured, and Jiro who was unconscious, if it was my own option … every single one of you would be expelled."
That got everyone to shut up and stand silent, afraid that their teacher would go ahead and follow through on that threat. "Ejiro Kirishima, Tenya Iida, Ochako Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Toru Hagakure and Momo Yaoyorozu.." He used full names, likely to emphasize his wasn't playing around. "You went out the night of the raid to rescue your classmates. Not only that, you brought Vlad's class into the matter and brought along Setsuna Tokage and Ibara Shiozaki."
The six in question stood as straight and neutral faced as possible. As ashamed as they probably were, he could tell they had no regrets about their actions. Aoyama wished he could've been that sure of himself. He wished he could know for a fact that the right thing was done in the end.
"And the rest of you." Aizawa looked at others, even himself. "You all were fully aware this was happening and said nothing, or did nothing to stop them. You are just as guilty as they are." Their teacher closed his eyes, his hair falling. "But the league is actively targeting you, so we can't afford to just let you live on with your lives." The man began walking away. "Consider this your warning … also detention, for everyone that was involved."
The mood had noticeably dropped a few degrees, energy gone. Bakugo clicked his tongue, grabbing Kaminari and dragging him. "Hey, what's going on? Where are we going? What do you plan on doing?" They were led behind a bush, a second together a large shock was seen, accompanied by a scream. Another second after that the 'whey' Kaminari came out, thumbs ups given to everyone.
That seemed to lighten everyone's mood, except for Yaoyorozu, who's expression became more angry, likely because it was her lovely that Bakugo decided to randomly attack for no reason. "Wheeyyy friends."
"Oh my god that's hilarious." Ashido laughed out loud. The mood brightened, everyone went back to talking as the explosive boy handed Kirishima a stack of money before walking off.
"So we live here now?" Iruma asked, looking a bit disbelieving at the building. "We don't have to go back to our parent's house again? We can just stay here at school?"
"That's right, Iruma. You don't have to go back to your parents again." Ochako held onto the boy's arm. "This is our home now." He wanted to reassure the boy as well … but it wouldn't be right coming from his mouth. Coming from scum like him.
"So … much … space." Ochako was sitting down on the couch now, finally having seen it all and getting her bearings together. "The rooms alone are the size of my whole apartment."
"Really? They're only the size of my closet from what I see." They all turned to Momo, who merely got a sympathetic pat from Kaminari. "I suppose I can manage well enough with this space." How much did she have?
"So we really do get to have our own rooms." Iruma, for good reason, was probably the only one besides her that was freaking out over the mansion-esqu building they were now living in. "And the doors actually have locks? Finally, I have something that'll keep out all the wild animals at night!"
"There is so much wrong with that sentence." Sero answered for all of them. "But this is still cool! We don't just get rooms, we have a TV, a shower room, a tub, a fridge, a laundry room, a kitchen!" He paused. "Sato, get in touch with Lunch Rush for resources."
"His number is already right by the sink. I think he's delivering Iruma's breakfast personally." The sugar man replied, already getting a chain out. "Stil, I'm taking precautions. Someone help me wrap this around the fridge door." Fair point, she needed to get a safe to hide her bags of sticky mochi.
"Can you imagine it, being together under one roof?" Toru got really close to Iruma. "Spending all the time together, maybe in a single bed …"
"Don't get too cozy." Jiro spoke up. "Midnight's going to give us a 'Sex-ed' lecture soon, according to Present Mic." SHE WAS WHAT!?
"Gross." Was Bakugo's only reply, drinking a bottle of water. How was he so calm!?
"I shouldn't be turned on by that, but I am." Mineta, the perv, held no shame about it.
"... I'm gonna be honest, I'm a little turned on too." Kaminari admitted, much to the ire of the two girls closest to him. "It's Midnight talking about sex, that's impossible to not get arroused by unless your the powerhouse trio!"
"Turned on? Like a lightbulb?" Todoroki immediately proved his point.
"What's sex?" Iruma asked the question no one was willing to answer for a variety of reasons.
"It's going to be a dark day in 1-A when he finally knows the answer." Ojiro sighed. "Let us have a moment of silence for Iruma's innocence." They actually did take a moment of silence, much to the boy's confusion.
"Oh, until then let's have some fun!" Mina shouted. "A room judging contest!"
"Wait what?!" Tokoyami screeched out.
"Hey now, let's not get carried away." Ojiro tried to ward them off.
"I shall Dazel you all." Aoyama sparkled like always.
"This sounds fun." Mineta smiled. "I'm sure everyone's gonna vote for me." We're not going into your room.
"Anyone that touches my room is dead." She was pretty sure that went without saying when it came to Bakugo.
"Not like I have much to hide." With that mask, Ochako thought that it would be Shoji's whole thing.
"This is going to haunt all of us." Sero groaned.
"I'm gonna show you all the best rooms hands down." Kaminari grinned.
"That's going to be mine! It's the manliest room here!" Kirishima yelled.
"Is this really necessary?" Shoto asked.
"I've never had a room to show off before, are there rules I need to know about before we start?" Hopefully with Iruma no longer going back to those terrible parents, he would stop saying so much worrying stuff.
"Okay then, door number one Iruma!" Mina shouted out, a savage grin on her face. "Open her up and let's see what we're dealing with!"
"Alright!" The boy was excited enough, likely not knowing it was only half a game. The other half was for everyone to be given the power to judge everyone's taste in style without coming off as too rude about it. "And unlocked."
"Great, now let's see what's in Iruma-kun's room!" Toru was the most excited for this, almost drooling. Ochako looked curious as well. Mina grinned as she swung open the door … to a half folded tent and a large bag. "... Hu?"
"Yeah, I know it looks bad. We were all meeting up and I only got everything half finished by then." Iruma spoke. "If I had more time I might have been able to make it look good."
"Uh..Iruma…all of this stuff is for living outside..at least the tent is." Jiro looked over the supplies.
The boy blinked. "Well yeah, besides living and surviving I've never needed stuff before. I have my book bag inside the tent with a sleeping bag though, so I won't fall behind on studies late at night. And my phone is always in my pocket with the charger in the other."
Right, she almost forgot this kid literally had nothing for himself, which included a freaking BED! "So you really don't own anything else? Not even a birthday gift you got once you can decorate the walls or something?"
"... Birthday gift?" Oh jesus fuck!
"Suzuki, please, tell me you're aware of what a birthday is." Iida pleaded.
"Yeah, that's just the day you're born. It's no different than any other day of the week." EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY, URGENT EMERGENCY!
"Okay, two things. One, when exactly is your birthday?" Toru asked the most important question at the moment.
"October 4th." The boy seemed confused. Okay, so they didn't miss his birthday yet, so they still had time to plan a surprise party for him.
"Hey, mine's the 8th!" Mineta smiled. "We're so close together…."
"Good to know, so two: you don't have to sleep in a tent or a sleeping bag anymore." Toru continued. "UA is capable of providing a bed for you, or even better, Momo can make something special for you, isn't that right?"
"Yes, I'm already on it." The Class Rep was munching on a protein bar, likely to help with building it.
"Also the Heights Alliance has many amenities." Todoroki told his friend. "So you likely won't need … any of this for survival."
"Really? Then … it should be a proper send off." The boy opened his bag, revealing all sorts of equipment. "Goodbye fan that kept me cool in the summer, goodby heater that kept me warm in the winter, goodby microwave that cooked fast food well, goodbywood that I use to cook and stay warm with. Goodbye lightbulb that lit up the night. I'll send you all to Mei, she'll give you a good home."
"We worry so, so, so, SO much about you, Iruma." Shoji sighed. Everyone nodded, realizing moving into the dorms was probably one of the best things that could've ever happened to this boy.
"Okay, you go ahead and give it to Mei." The boy nodded, walking off. She held Toru and Ochako back, waiting until the boy left … "New betting pool, best birthday."
"An all you can eat buffet that can actually last for more than five minutes. That'll be something he'll never forget." Toru immediately came up with. "We're probably going to need more than Lunch Rush. Momo, you're flexible with buying ingredients, right?"
"Well yes, but if it's a competition I'm getting him something else so … good luck." The girl patted Hagakure on the head. Good to know they could change the outlook of even a depression situation like this into something fun.
It was a long and very exhausting day after that. Mina dragged everyone into each other's rooms, which was fun when they got to tease and embarrass the boys, but that changed when Mineta suggested the girls share the same fate, and Mina naively accepted. The only rooms they didn't enter were Bakugo's, because he was an asshole, Mineta's, because he was a pervert, and Tsu, who decided to turn in early for some reason.
Now everyone saw her instruments. Damn it, she wanted to keep that private. She was going to take advantage of the soundproof walls and everything. Now everyone assumed she was some kind of obsession with music. It was just a small hobby! Honest!
And to every boy's frustration, even if the wager was changed, Sato still won the competition, by bribing the judges. "It's not fair. How does anyone that can't cook win at this?" Mineta complained.
"Hey, you got off easy with no one coming in. Everyone called me tacky and unfashionable, which I'm not."
"Denki, your entire room is just a blend of stuff you think is cool." She retaliated.
"Well, what's wrong with that? It's what I like." He defended himself. "I mean, your room was pretty cool, being filled with all those instruments."
"Re-really?" She made sure that she wasn't showing off a blush.
"Do you play them?" Momo asked with a curious look. "You even had a harp in there and everything."
"My parents have their own band. They've taught me everything they know about music almost since I was a baby." She tried to wave it off. "I just know a little bit about the instruments I have. I've mainly focused on guitar."
"Lucky you. I've always wanted to play, but I could never get the notes down just right." Denki shrugged. "Guess it didn't help I had no patience either."
"Yeah, that's kind of an important factor." She chuckled, imagining his 'whey' form trying to strum a guitar. "You know, if we have some free time, and if you're up for it, I could teach you some of the basics."
"Really, that's so cool of you. I'll have to take you up on your offer." Good, things were getting better between them, and he and no one else was questioning why she started using his first name. Things were starting to look up.
Momo gave a yawn. "Well I'm getting tired." She stood up and turned. "It's time I rest. Come on Denki, let's head to bed."
"Okay, goodni-" The eclectic student short circuited for a second. "Ahh… you mean you're heading to your bed, right?"
"Of course, it's big enough for two." The girl gave him a smirk. "And I told you I'd give you a reward when it was all over, correct?" Momo began to walk away, a sexy sway in her hips that had the two of them staring.
"Did she… you heard that too, right?" Denki asked her. "I didn't go stupid again and imagine it?"
"I think she might have, but it's up for debate." She quietly muttered.
"Dude, as insanely jealous of you I am at the moment, don't let this opportunity go to waste!" Mineta interrupted, because of course he was watching them. "Go to her room, go, go, go!"
The boy in question scrambled. "On it!" He shouted, begging to run to the stairs, the elevator already taken by Momo. "I'll be right there!" And that was a thing now. More reasons to not sleep. At least she could stab Mineta, he probably did something to deserve it.
Vlad walked the halls, turning to the door and sliding it open. "My shift, you're good Aizawa."
"Thank you." The man let out a yawn. "They really don't make this job any easier for us. This whole year has just been one mess piled on top of another."
"I can't argue with that. I'm just disappointed my class got dragged into it." Granted it was only two of his students, but it meant he couldn't call 1-B the 'normal' hero class anymore.
"I apologize once more for my actions, Vlad-sensei." Iida bowed stiffly.
"No talking during detention." Aizawa's eyes glowed. "Tenth time today I've had to say that, get the chalk." The glasses teen simply nodded and began writing 'I will not talk' on the ceiling high chalkboard. The rest of the room, mainly the group that snuck out during the night of the raid, just sighed, watching their associate in crime write or stare idly at their desks.
He took his own seat, pulling out the class roster for the next week. Working out schedules while they sat in silence. Multitasking was a great liberty to have after all. With the training camp cut so short, they had to ramp up the training even harder. "You believe your class is ready for the provisional?"
"As irrational as they all acted, it might be the only thing that'll stop them from doing anything that stupid again. I'm half convinced they're going to try and be vigilantes at this point." Out of the corner of their eye they both noticed a few… all the 1-A students look away. "Three quarters convinced."
"Yeah, that's sadly what we have to work with now." He now had to worry about two of his own acting the same way. "The only good that came out of this is that it proves the two classes can work together."
"Sure, just keep your ego and crazy case in check and we're good to go." He gave the man a stink eye. "Just speaking facts."
