Rose stood there as she watched Lily and Mr Andrews walk away. Ruth walked over to her, snapping her out of her thoughts "Rose, you shouldn't be speaking to steerage passengers!" She hissed quietly "oh do give over Mother, she was a little girl lost and alone and it appears everyone else up here finds themselves far too important to offer any kind of help" Rose said as she walked away.

Mr Andrews walked over to a crew member, still holding Lily's hand. "Evening Toby, has anyone reported their child missing?" "Yes sir, a young man, he just ran past me a few moments ago actually, he went that way" he pointed up the corridor. "Thank you" Thomas smiled and walked away.

"That's my daddy" Lily said as she saw the back of Jack. "Mr Dawson!" Thomas called. Jack's head shot round and he took a huge sigh of relief as he saw Lily. "Lily!" He ran over and scooped her up "oh thank god! Are you OK?" He said as he held her cheek. She nodded "never run off like that again, OK?!" Jack said, still worked up "I won't… sorry Daddy"

"She was found in first class, sir" Mr Andrews chuckled. Jack laughed a little "oh, I'm sure that wasn't intimidating, all those snotty people up there… no offence" he backtracked, making Thomas laugh "I understand what you mean… you didn't hear it from me but some of them are incredibly stuck up" he raised an eyebrow "thankfully a kind young woman found Lily" he smiled. "She was kind Daddy! She had a pretty dress on and her name was Rose… a flower like mine" Jack chucked listening to his daughter. "Well it's getting late and you've had a very busy day, living it up in first class" he joked "we best get you to bed" he said before turning his attention back to Thomas "thank you Mr Andrews, I really appreciate you taking care of her" he smiled sincerely "Oh not to worry at all. You have a nice evening… goodbye Lily" "bye" Lily smiled then rested her head on Jack's shoulder. "Sorry Daddy…" she reiterated "well as long as you're OK… but really, you can't go wandering off Lils, it's not always safe. Were you scared?" He asked. "I was at first, but then Rose saw me and she was kind" she yawned. "Good" Jack said as the approached their cabin "be quiet when we go in, OK? In case Sam, Oliver and Jenny are asleep" Jack said but Lily just nodded sleepily.

The two of them arrived back in to the cabin, their room mates weren't in yet and so Jack helped Lily - who was half asleep - get changed and put her in to bed before sitting beside her, something he did every night as she went to sleep. Lily gripped on to his shirt like she always did and held her bear close to her in her other arm. "Night daddy" she whispered "night darling, I love you"

Rose sat on the large table in the dining room, sat between her Mother and Cal with several other first class passengers with them. All had finished eating and were talking amongst themselves, but Rose was in her own little world. She looked at the clock; 10pm, then saw Mr Andrews in the foyer "darling, I'm going to head back to my room now, it's late and I'm quite tired… you know… long day. I will see you in the morning?" Rose said "yes dear" Cal said, paying almost no attention as Rose stood up after saying goodnight to everyone else.

She reached outside the dinning room where Mr Andrews was heading back up the stairs "Mr Andrews?" She called after him "oh, hello again Rose" Thomas smiled at her "how's Lily? Did she find her parents?" Rose said, genuinely concerned. "We found her Dad, she seemed more than happy to be back with him, bless her… and I don't think I've ever seen a man look so relieved" he chuckled, thinking back to Jack's face when he spotted Lily. "Oh thank goodness" Rose sighed relieved, for some reason, Lily had been on Rose's mind all evening. "Are you heading back to your cabin for the evening?" He frowned. Rose nodded "yes… thank goodness" Mr Andrews laughed "not everyone is made for the first class life, hey?" "No, and certainly not myself" Rose rolled her eyes. She was shocked she felt comfortable enough to speak to Mr Andrews as honestly as she was… as though he were her friend… "would you like me to walk you back?" Mr Andrews offered "oh I don't want you to go out of your way…" she said, feeling guilty "oh not at all, I'm heading that way" he smiled as they began to walk. "Seems you got yourself a fan in young Lily… she was telling her Dad all about you and your 'pretty dress'" he chuckled "oh bless her" Rose smiled. "She seemed like a nice girl" Rose nodded "she did, her Father seemed lovely too" he nodded. "You know, Mr Andrews, I completely understand it's the way society works but it is a shame that classes are separated on board ships" Rose said with a weak smile as they approached her cabin. "I agree" he nodded in response "but as you said, unfortunately, it's the way of it. I may have designed the ship but I certainly didn't design the rules" he gave an equally weak smile in response, Rose nodding back. "Well, this is me" she said as they reached the door "goodnight Mr Andrews… thank you for walking me back" she smiled "you're more than welcome, Rose. Have a nice evening" he smiled "you too" she smiled back as she walked in to her cabin, locking the door behind her.
