"Wait, what're you—"

"Smash!"

Izuku pivoted his body, executing a swift kick that propelled the man a considerable distance away. Subsequently, another individual emerged from around a corner, having witnessed his companion's airborne trajectory, and promptly aimed his firearm in Ruby's direction. However, Ruby had astutely anticipated this turn of events. With remarkable agility, she leaped into the air, enveloped in a mesmerizing vortex of spinning rose petals, and propelled herself towards the approaching man. Together, they forcefully shattered the glass barrier and descended outside the premises of the store.

Ruby extended Crescent Rose to full size and effortlessly dispatched her adversaries. Demonstrating not only a remarkable command over her formidable weapon, but also an uncanny swiftness, incapacitating them swiftly, albeit curiously, without causing any fatal harm. Izuku lashed out a few kicks from one thug to another, knocking them out at the point of contact. Consequently, the defeated individuals were left writhing in evident agony upon the unforgiving asphalt.

"You were worth every cent, truly you were," came a sarcastic voice.

Emerging from the shop was a man, dressed immaculately in a white suit, complemented by a black bowler hat and a cane. His ginger locks subtly peeked out from underneath his hat, while a lit cigar gracefully rested in his mouth. As he confidently walked, he inadvertently kicked a henchman, prompting a subdued groan.

"Well Red." He turned his gaze towards Izuku. "And Green, I must say it is an honor to be grace by your illustrations."

He continued towards the pair, dropping the cigar and crushing it with the end of his cane. His left hand fell into his coat, pulling out a dust crystal which he ignited with his aura.

"This has been quite the eventful evening, truly it has. But as much as I'd love to stick around, I'm afraid this is where we part ways."

A flick of his wrist sent the crystal bouncing towards the Izuku. At the same time, he fired his cane towards Ruby, a flare of red dust energy rocketing towards her. Using her scythe, she vaulted over the missile before it could hit her.

Two explosions rang out through the streets as the crook made his escape. Disoriented but hardly injured thanks to his Danger Sense, Izuku quickly scanned his surroundings for the attacker and spotted him scrambling up a fire access ladder. He took off in pursuit, focusing his power into his legs and leaping for the roof.

"Mind if I go after them?" Ruby asked the aged shopkeeper as he came out of hiding from his ruined shop.

He nodded shakily.

With a smirk, she planted the head of her scythe into the ground and by pulling a hidden trigger, fired a powerful round, using the recoil to launch herself up to the edge of the building. The young pair landed at the same time, confronting the white clad thief.

"Hey!" She yelled out, causing the thief to pause.

"It's over! There's nowhere else for you to run!" Izuku shouted.

"Persistent..." he muttered under his breath

Declining to pivot and confront them, a few anxious moments elapsed. His patience was rewarded when the clamor of a bullhead transport emanated from a neighboring thoroughfare. Luminous spotlights beamed down upon the two adolescents, momentarily dazzling them as the gentleman in the white attire hastily embarked into the cabin. The luminosity subsided, granting them a momentary respite.

"End of the line, kids!" He announced as he threw a red dust crystal at her feet. Recognition lit up in Ruby's eyes.

"Ruby!" Izuku yelled, pushing himself and Ruby to the side as a red bolt erupted from the thief's cane.

The pair's ears were assaulted by the explosion reverberating through the atmosphere on impact. Izuku and Ruby blinked. The attack hadn't come and neither of them were covered in burns.

They turned their gazes in time to see another individual standing between them and the crystal, summoning a violet glyph that provided a protective shield from the explosive impact. This person was a woman, appearing to be in her late thirties, with meticulously braided golden hair and a pair of spectacles perched upon her nose. She was dressed in a white long-sleeved blouse, neatly tucked into a high-waisted black skirt. A tattered purple cape billowed behind her, adding an air of mystery to her presence. Completing her ensemble were black stockings and elegant heels.

Adjusting her glasses, she swung her arm in a wide arc with her wand in hand, unleashing a barrage of violet energy bolts towards the bullhead. Although the armored hull sustained only minor damage in the form of sizable dents. This however did not deter her from actively participating in the battle.

Ruby swiftly transformed her scythe into a high-velocity sniper rifle. Izuku joined in by flicking his fingers, firing off air-force smashes at the aircraft's side. The thunderous cracks that followed each shot reverberated through the air. Seizing the opportunity, the thief stumbled his way towards the cockpit, as his getaway bird struggled under the relentless combined assault.

"We got a huntress!" The thief yelled at his pilot, who promptly rose from the pilot's chair and headed to the cabin.

The pilot was a woman, dressed in a scarlet gown that gracefully reached her mid-thigh. The gown was adorned with exquisite gold embroidery, and she wore glass high heel shoes. Only her glowing amber eyes were visible, as her face was mostly concealed. Her presence exuded a powerful aura, reminiscent of flickering flames.

The bespectacled huntress, with an air of composure, paid little attention to this new adversary. Instead, she elegantly waved her wand, which emitted a radiant glow of intricate spider-web patterns formed by Dust energy. As a result, a swirling mass of storm clouds materialized above the bullhead aircraft.

From within the clouds, large and sharpened chunks of ice descended upon the craft, forcefully embedding themselves into the reinforced steel. The thief, who had taken the pilot's place in the cockpit, struggled to maintain control of the bird amidst this sudden onslaught. He involuntarily uttered a curse, swiftly evading to the left as one shard effortlessly pierced through the canopy, showering him with a cascade of glass fragments.

With a graceful wave of the scarlet woman's hand, a multitude of orange glyphs materialized in the vicinity of the trio. The huntress maneuvered her wand to ensure the safety of the two young individuals, while deftly evading the subsequent explosions herself. The huntress elegantly waved her wand once more, assuming complete control over the resulting debris, shaping them into the formidable form of a large spear. With a subtle flick of her wrist, she propelled the lethal formation towards her intended target, only to encounter a barrage of fire that gradually diminished its size.

In a strategic maneuver, the huntress gracefully brandished her wand once more, causing the spear to divide into numerous sinuous tendrils that encircled the vessel. However, the pyromancer had prepared a defensive strategy for this onslaught as well. With a swift motion, she extended both her arms outward, conjuring a scorching shockwave that disintegrated the debris into mere ashes. Aiming her scythe rifle with utmost precision, Ruby diligently took calculated shots at her adversary. Regrettably, the bullets proved futile, effortlessly halted by the palm of the sorceress' hand.

In search of a means of escape, the pyromancer delicately cupped her hands together, skillfully compressing the molten energy into a tightly compacted sphere. Once she deemed it to have reached an adequate level, she gracefully propelled this sphere towards her three assailants. The huntress' eyes widened in astonishment as she comprehended the significantly heightened potency of this particular attack in comparison to all previous ones. With determination etched on her face, she swiftly conjured a protective barrier, enveloping both herself and her two unexpected companions.

The ensuing explosion reverberated throughout the city, spanning several blocks, causing the unsuspecting citizens to startle at the sheer force and resounding noise. Despite the presence of the protective shielding, both Izuku and Ruby were forcefully knocked to the ground, a testament to the immense power of the explosion. Gazing upwards, Frisk was filled with awe at the sheer magnitude of the attack. The concrete roof of the building radiated an intense, fiery red, instantaneously heated by the sudden onslaught from the blazing fireball.

Utilizing her profound reservoirs of strength, the huntress graciously unleashed a surge of energy, effectively dispelling the smoke and flames that enveloped their surroundings. But before she could dispatch another series of projectiles, the bullhead had already commenced its retreat into the nocturnal expanse. With a slight crease of concern adorning her countenance, the huntress proceeded to adjust her spectacles and diligently commenced the task of mending the dilapidated roof through the power of her telekinesis.

Ruby and Izuku turned to the woman, looking at them disdainfully. Ruby, for her part, gushed with excitement. Izuku, on the other hand, didn't share her enthusiasm.

"Oh my gosh, you're a huntress! Can I get your autograph?" Ruby beamed with a smile.

The woman's glare deepened.

Izuku glanced at Ruby worryingly.

"Um, Ruby. I think we're—"

Izuku and Ruby frowned at the floor as they sat on their respective chairs in the interrogation room. The woman paced back and forth before the pair, whilst examining Izuku's hero license in hand and holding her pad with the other. The pair found themselves in an interview room at the local police station. The last time Izuku ever found himself in a situation like this, was the time Shigaraki had him as hostage for questioning.

He never thought he'd find himself back here again.

"I hope you two realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly. The both of you put yourselves and others in grave danger," the blonde woman scolded.

"They started it!" Ruby protested.

Izuku chimed in. "She's right! If we hadn't stepped in they—"

"Silence!"

She punctuated with a slap of what Izuku now recognized as a riding crop. Her eyes darted to Izuku with a stern look, causing Izuku to feel tense. She raised her hand with Izuku's hero license on display.

"What is this?" She asked sternly.

"Umm, my hero license." Izuku replied with a nervous smile.

"Hero license?" She repeated with an arched brow before transforming into a glare. "Young man, are you trying to tell me that not only did you make a fake license but you're going against the law by committing vigilantism?"

"N-No! It's not fake. I promise!" Izuku insisted.

Ruby chimed. "He's telling the truth."

She stared at the two incredulously for a moment, before turning her attention onto the scroll in her other hand. She proceeded pacing around the room.

"If it were up to me, you would be sent home and you, young man, would be sent to jail," she stated, "with a pat on the back..."

Ruby perked up.

"... and a slap on the wrist." To prove her point, the woman slightly smacked Ruby's hand with the crop, earning a yelp from the terrified girl.

"However that doesn't seem to be the case. Someone here would like to speak to the both of you."

Ruby and Izuku glanced at each other in bewilderment.

She positioned herself to the side as an elderly gentleman made his entrance into the room. He, much like his companion, donned spectacles. His crown was adorned with silver, slightly disheveled hair, and his neck was embraced by an emerald scarf. Draped across his figure was a lengthy, black overcoat, embellished with gold buttons, its long sleeves extending to his hands, which were adorned with white gloves. Ruby promptly recognized this gentleman: Professor Ozpin, the esteemed Headmaster of Beacon Academy, and he was carrying a plate of cookies.

"Ruby Rose," he addressed the girl first, "and Midoriya Izuku." He turned to the boy.

Ruby and Izuku sat up in rapt attention.

"You... have silver eyes," he spoke as if deciphering a puzzle. The red hood girl stared at him bewilderingly.

"So! Where did you learn to do this?" He asked Ruby as he pointed towards the woman's scroll, showing a recording of the street fight.

"S-Signal Academy?" She hesitantly answered.

"They taught you how to wield one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?"

"Well, one teacher in particular!"

"I see," he acknowledged. At that point, he set the plate down in front of her.

Ruby's gaze darted back and forth, torn between Ozpin and the delectable cookies. With utmost delicacy, a pale hand extended towards the tempting treats, gingerly selecting one. She savored it, relishing each bite, her countenance gradually brightening. In a remarkably short span of time, she voraciously devoured cookie after cookie, leaving not a single crumb untouched. She pushed the plate towards Izuku, allowing him to eat the five last cookies.

"It's just, I only know of one person who can wield the scythe with such ease..." continued Ozpin. "...a dusty old crow."

Ruby mumbled an affirmation through a mouthful of cookies. Ozpin stared blankly at Ruby. She swallowed and giggled nervously.

"Sorry, that's my Uncle Qrow. He's a teacher at Signal. I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing, but now I'm all like, whooowaah watttchaaa!" Ruby described animatedly, complete with hand gestures.

"So I've noticed," replied Ozpin with a slight smile. "And what is an adorable little girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?"

"Well... I want to be a Huntress."

"You want to slay monsters?"

"Yeah! I only have two more years at Signal and then I want to apply to Beacon. You see, my sister is starting there this year and she's trying to become a Huntress. I'm trying to become a Huntress because I wanna help people!" She rambled on. "Our parents always taught us to help people and I thought 'Oh might as well make a career out of it' hehe, and sure the police are good and all but Hunters and Huntresses are just so much more cool and romantic and exciting and gosh you know?" She squealed.

There was an awkward silence.

The woman fixed Ruby with a deadpan expression.

Ozpin directed his attention towards Izuku and smiled with a nod.

"Hello," he greeted, extending his hand.

"Oh! Um, hello," Izuku returned, accepting his hand and shaking it. "It's nice to meet you Mr…um."

"Ozpin. My name is Professor Ozpin." Ozpin introduced himself.

"Oh, well it's nice to meet you professor."

"Likewise."

Ozpin cleared his throat.

"Tell me Izuku, where did you learn to do this?" Ozpin asked, jabbing his thumb towards the woman's scroll, showing a recording of Izuku fighting alongside Ruby.

Izuku rubbed his nape.

"U.A High?" He hesitantly answered.

"U.A High?" Ozpin questioned. "I've never heard of such a school."

The woman nodded in agreement. "Neither have I. I've searched through Remnant's map six times already and I haven't found a single school that shares that name."

Ozpin takes a sip of his coffee. "Izuku, is there something you would like to share with us?"

Izuku hesitated. On one hand, he didn't want to lie, on the other hand, he feared telling them where he came from might complicate things. Sure Ruby believed his story of being someone from another world without question but who is to say these two wouldn't, and just deem him crazy.

What should he…

"Izuku's not from Remnant, professor." Ruby said, nervously rubbing her arm.

"R-Ruby!" Izuku turned his shocked gaze towards her.

Ozpin and the woman blinked in surprise.

"Not from Remnant?" He repeated, placing his mug down on the table. "What do you mean?"

"Professor…" Izuku glanced down at the floor. "I don't think I can tell you. It's a long story and even if I were to tell you, you might find it hard to believe."

"Nonsense," replied Ozpin. "I wouldn't know if I believed it or not unless you tell me."

Ruby nodded in agreement. "He's right, Izuku. We can trust him."

Izuku stared at Ozpin. Ozpin smiled reassuringly.

"Don't worry, Izuku. Whatever is said in this room, stays in this room." Ozpin reassured him.

Izuku took a breath. Ruby stared at him, silently pleading with him not to falter.

"I'm… not from this world," he began. "I was sent here from a planet called Earth. My homeland is called Japan, and in my world, eighty-percent of humanity possesses special powers called Quirks."

As he had previously conveyed to Ruby on the day they met, he proceeded to disclose to the duo the intricacies of his world and the chronicles of his life. He expounded upon the realm of Japan and the Superhuman Society that governed it. He recounted the details of his birth, his upbringing, and his mother with whom he had a deep connection. He articulated his experiences with Bakugo, his fellow classmates at U.A High, his mentor All Might, and the myriad of Heroes and Villains he had encountered along his journey.

Furthermore, he recounted the multitude of scars he had endured and the sorrows he had weathered. He recounted the tale of a villain, who, despite being two centuries old, had cast the world into a shroud of darkness, and how he and his friends had ultimately vanquished him, bringing an end to his reign of terror once and for all.

During the course of his narrative, Ozpin and the lady maintained a state of silence. With the exception of the lady occasionally raising an amusing eyebrow or casting a doubtful glance, she refrained from displaying any overt reaction. However, she attentively absorbed every single word.

"Then a villain appeared out of nowhere, producing a portal," Izuku went on. "It got me and I fell through it. I was out for a while until I woke up in a hospital room and met Ruby. We'd won, but…I paid the price in the end."

He trailed off, breathing hard.

An uncomfortable silence permeated the room.

"What an interesting night this has been." Ozpin glanced up at the ceiling. "Humanity existing on other worlds besides this one? Never thought I'd live to learn of such a thing."

"I have to be honest, child. I… find your story hard to believe but…" She mused, speaking for the first time in a while. "Not even I would have imagined in my wildest dreams that there would be other worlds."

Ozpin nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Though that does spring up with one question. What do you plan to do now, now that you're here in Remnant?"

Izuku shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm not sure..." He gripped his fist. "I mean, I wanted to be a hero who saves people with a smile. Where people could live in peace and happiness Just like All Might did. That was my dream." He frowned at his gripped fist. "But now that I'm no longer in that world, I don't know if I can."

"What if I were to tell you that you still can."

Izuku looked back at Ozpin with a surprise expression.

Ozpin cleared his throat.

"When you told me about the Heroes of your world, it reminded me of the Huntsman and Huntresses. Here, Huntsman and Huntresses pride themselves on safeguarding our world, to protect the innocent, to limit themselves when the situation calls for it. So from what you have told me, these factions in your realm are not so different from ours here.." He gently receives the card from the woman, handing Izuku's hero license back to him. "You said to me that your dream was to become a hero that helps people with a smile, yes?"

Ruby's eyes widened. Izuku's mouth dropped open.

"You… you don't mean…" Izuku stammered. Ruby felt a smile trembling on her lips.

"Yes, Izuku. I say here and now, that I'd be willing to give you the green light to strive towards your dream and proceed with your hero work in Vale. Just as you were doing in your other world."

A big smile graced Izuku's lips. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He can be a hero and make his dream a reality in this world? He was so happy he was seconds away from crying.

"R-Really?" Izuku's eyes grew wet with tears.

"Yes," Ozpin replied with a nod. "I will do everything that I can to assist you in helping you make your dream a reality. Resources including weaponry, Dust and transportation will be made available to you. But under one condition."

Izuku and Ruby glanced at each other before shifting their attention back at the man.

"You see, I'm the Headmaster at Beacon Academy, and I have an eye for talent. Therefore…" Ozpin, who had seated himself, leaned forward across the table. "Would you two like to come to my school?"

He directed the question to both of them.

Izuku and Ruby's eyes blinked in surprise. That was something even Ruby had not anticipated; a direct invitation from the Headmaster of one of the most prestigious hunting academies in Remnant. Ruby appeared as though she had been bestowed a gift from Oum himself.

"More than anything in the world," she breathed. He turned his gaze towards Izuku.

"As a student?" Izuku asked with a raised brow.

"No. Not as a student." Ozpin shook his head. "More of a guest in my kingdom and in a professional sense."

Izuku pondered the offer for a good minute before nodding his head. "I would be honored."

Ozpin gave a questioning gaze to his associate. She scoffed and looked away, rolling her eyes. With a broad smile on his face and looked back at the pair.

"Well okay."
