As the screams continue he recognizes it as Jade, he's hoping he can make it to her before it's too late. Unfortunately as he nears the sounds of her voice her screams stop and her cannon sounds telling him she's gone. He wants to know who killed her so he can get vengeance but when he looks from behind the tree he sees the worst possible image, Titus squatting over Jade's corpse, her chest ripped open and him eating her heart. Lysander can't do anything but vomit at his feet, he can't believe Jade was killed in such a brutal way and is being cannibalized. He slowly moves away from the sight not wanting anything to do with the scene anymore, but before he can get too far he feels a rumble in the distance. He looks up and sees snow careening towards Titus and himself. 2 cannons go off and he runs as fast as he can away from the sight noticing Titus hasn't even registered the avalanche coming his way. The last thing he sees is Titus and Jade being absorbed in the avalanche not hearing the sound of Titus's cannon going off, he keeps running as the avalanche nears him. He trips falling on his face, he tries to get up quickly before he's overtaken, but it's slowing and just before it can overtake him and make him the next victim it stops, just shy of covering his chest. He digs himself out and stands up. "What great timing" he tells himself before another cannon goes off, "How many was that" he asks himself as the avalanche deafened him from the noise, he didn't know that 4 tributes died from the avalanche, but he didn't care, as long as Titus was dead he felt a little better. He decided to move on thinking the other tributes would come and investigate.

The sun sets on his 7th day in the games and he decides to make camp, as he settles himself in a tree, the all too familiar seal appears in the sky showing the fallen. Miracle, Algae, and Isla pop up which made him sigh in relief as half of the careers perished but what surprised him was that Titus's image didn't pop up but a blank image labeled District 6 before Jade's portrait was shown causing Lysander to tear up. "I guess they didn't want to honor a cannibal," Lysander says, wiping the tears away. "That was 5 meaning, there's only 6 of us left". Lysander can't believe it's nearing the end.

After a few hours of sleep Lysander packs up and moves toward the center, the snow is deeper than he remembers, it used to be just about ankle deep now it's too his knees slowing his progress and making him work harder. "Good lord, when did this happen" he thinks to himself, he stops to catch his breath when he hears the snow crunching fast, he looks behind him and sees Jules with his sword at the ready. He swings it down narrowly missing Lysanders arm, "You won't get away this time Lysander" Jules shouts. "Where's the other 2 you're normally around" Lysander asks. "There's only a handful of us left and I'd rather let them kill each other to make this easier" Jules answers condescendingly before swinging his sword again, almost slicing Lyander's throat. "So he's alone, meaning I don't have to worry about Aegis or Vita jumping in" Lysander thinks to himself as he pulls his throwing knives out, "Alright, let's dance" Jules says smiling. The next moment Jules jumps forward in a stabbing motion, Lysander isn't fast enough to move fully to the side and his abdomen is impaled. Lysander feels a great amount of pain but stabs Jules in the forearm causing him to yell out, he pulls the sword out of Lysander which is oozing blood. Lysander notices the shoes he's wearing allowing him to stay on the top layer of snow making his movements faster than his own, Jules swings the sword with is one good hand slicing across Lysander's chest and shoulder ripping his jacket and spraying blood on the snow. Lysander returns the pain by stabbing his knives into both of Jules's legs stopping his fast movements. Jules makes a final attempt to stab Lysander successfully jamming his sword into his thigh before crawling away some distance, Lysander throws his knife which is attached to the twine at him, but Jules moves out of the way. Thinking he's successfully dodged it Jules doesn't realize until it's too late that Lysander has pulled the twine back to him bringing the knife back. When he turns around the last thing Jules sees is the knife coming back and stabbing him in the eye lodging itself in his brain killing him, his cannon goes off solidifying him as dead.

Lysander pulls the sword out of his leg which is bleeding profusely, he stumbles as best he can over to Jules and pulls the knife out of his face, he also takes the shoes Jules was wearing. He looks through Jules's stuff and finds more medical supplies and takes it. He's only able to just barely make it into the treeline before collapsing from both pain and blood loss. He takes the medical supplies out and starts patching himself up, he's just able to stop the bleeding before passing out. BOOM, the sound of another cannon wakes him up several hours later, the sun is down and the seal shows up in the sky showing the district 11 female's portrait. "How long was I out, I didn't even see Jules' portrait". He looks down and notices his wounds have sealed, the medicine he took from Jules was a stronger medication than he anticipated and was probably a gift from a sponsor. He was still sore but he got up and made his way towards the location of the cornucopia.

Lysander walks for hours as the sun has risen and is high in the sky being around noon, he sees the cornucopia in the distance and decides that he's close enough and climbs a tree. He sits in the tree all day contemplating everything that has happened in the games and how he now somehow feels a sense of calm wash over him almost as if he's okay and would be okay whether he lived or died. He thinks on it before he chuckles to himself "I guess I already died". As the sun sets and the night sky overtakes him the boom of a cannon goes off before Aegis's portrait shines high in the sky. "There's only one career left," Lysander says out loud. He looks over at the cornucopia and sees the hovercraft extracting Aegis's body, confirming his suspicions that the careers had stayed by the cornucopia the whole time. He keeps an eye on it while the sun rises and he sees a figure running from the cornucopia "Vita" he tells himself. He takes this as an opportunity to run towards the cornucopia in hopes of getting any supplies before the final battle.

As he arrives at the cornucopia a cannon sounds, at first he thinks Vita died in some kind of accident before he counts all the deaths over the last 10 days and remembers there was 1 more tribute in the arena. The sky starts to shine with the aurora borealis light. He thinks it's a beautiful sight, but he doesn't have time to enjoy the sights as he hears snow crunching closely beside him. Vita is running full speed at Lysander covered in wounds ranging from stabs and cuts to even blunt injury. She uses her bladed whip and swings it down at Lysander connecting with his left eye, pain radiates all over the left side of his face as he's been blinded, she has destroyed his eye and he's left with only one to see her. She laughs and says "Sorry to mess up that cute face handsome but that's how the game is played, I'll tell you what if you can somehow win this I'll let you have my eye as replacement" The condescendence her voice enrages Lysander as he finally gets a good look at her and throws his knife into her arm causing her to drop her weapon. She notices the twine attached to the knife and his arm and she pulls it causing him to fall towards her, she pulls the knife out of her arm as he readies the knife in his other hand and they stab each other in the torso as they fall to the ground. Vita starts laughing "I will win this and bring pride to my district, you won't stop me Lysander". She starts tugging the blade up his torso causing immense pain but Lysander pulls out another blade from his back and stabs Vita in the chest piercing her heart. She looks at the blade in her chest, her smile completely erased, she then looks at Lysander, leans up into his face and kisses him. Shocked at what's just happened Lysander looks at Vita who tells him "One for the road" before she falls back to the ground, her cannon symbolizing her death. Lysander stands up with the knife still in his gut and his left eye bleeding. He looks at his hands which are shaking and covered in blood. An announcement goes off "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the 69th Hunger Games from district 10, Lysander Crowley". He stands stunned at the announcement before collapsing from shock, pain, and blood loss.
