Hello my fellow readers! It has been WAY too long since I updated the story. Personal family situations, plus going to school online has kept me busy, but I was lacking with the updates. I want to thank my girls JustCherry73, Tm12Brady, and GoldenGirl1920 for their positive feedback and support. I love you all so much! On the last chapter, the double baby shower for Cherry and Denise was a huge success. There are surprises in store for this chapter. Here we go with Chapter 19.
Chapter 19
A few weeks later…
The double baby showers for Cherry and Denise were very successful, and the girls were very grateful for their extended family. Now it is time to get back to reality. Cherry was starting to feel contractions, approximately 3 to 5 minutes apart. Her husband Jack was concerned, feeling it was time to take his wife to the hospital. Although her water hadn't broken yet, Cherry thought she could pull it off for the rest of the day. Well she thought wrong…..
"Princess, you are getting contractions. I think it's time to take you to the hospital." Jack said.
"Not yet, honey. I think I can manage." Cherry told him.
"I know you can my love, but the baby could be coming before we know it." Jack replied.
"I know but let me make something to eat first. Then we will play it by ear." Cherry suggested.
"Okay, my love." Jack said.
Cherry wobbled her way downstairs to the kitchen to make something to eat. However, the contractions started again, and she was groaning in pain. A few minutes later, her water broke, meaning she knew it was time.
"Jack! Come downstairs now!" Cherry yelled. Jack came rushing down the stairs.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Jack asked, feeling worried.
"My water broke! It's time!" Cherry screamed.
Jack was feeling overwhelmed, but excited, knowing they would be parents soon. He grabbed the bag, called the guys, while Cherry texted the girls, letting them know they were on their way to the hospital. Jack helped Cherry get in the car, got into the driver's seat, and started driving to the hospital. Cherry was wincing in pain, praying they would get to the hospital in time. She's not the only one who may be delivering their baby as well.
As soon as Denise received Cherry's text, she started getting contractions as well. Knowing that the possibility of delivering her babies the same day Cherry would deliver her baby is highly likely.
"Shit! These contractions are killing me!" Denise screamed.
"I got everything packed and ready to go, baby!" Randy replied.
"Let's go! Before I deliver these babies right here!" Denise yelled.
Even though he hated seeing his wife in pain, he knew that he could possibly be holding his twin boys.
Randy got the car ready, helped Denise sit in the front seat and started their drive to the hospital.
Drew along with Christina and Angela arrived ahead of time because Christina had the intuition that either Cherry, Denise or both would be going into labor. Christine and Sheamus arrived a few minutes later.
"Sis, can you believe this? We are about to become aunties and uncles once more!" Christine told Christina.
"I know! I had a very strong feeling they could be delivering their babies either tonight or tomorrow!" Christina said, feeling excited.
"Which is why we decided to arrive early, just in case." Drew replied.
Drew was starting to get baby fever after seeing Christina deliver Angela over a year ago. He was hoping that down the road they would have another baby.
"Hey fella, ever thought about adding another munchkin to the mix?" Sheamus asked Drew.
"Bugger off!" Drew replied.
"Come on, fella. You can't fool me! We've known each other for 20+ years." Sheamus assured Drew.
"Is it that obvious?" Drew told him.
"We see how you are when your wife is holding your baby girl. I figured you would want to have a wee little man down the road." Sheamus replied.
"I can't help it Sheamo. Seeing Christina holding our baby girl, I can imagine seeing us holding another baby. I do want a boy, but I don't know if she wants another one." Drew said, feeling sad.
"Hey, don't feel sad Drew. If anything, she would be very happy to have another one with you, especially a little boy. Besides, you have plenty of uncles and aunties to help you take care of Angela. It would not change when you have your little man in the future." Sheamus told him.
"I know. Thanks for the talk, bud." Drew said, hugging him.
"Anytime, fella." Sheamus replied hugging him back.
A few minutes later, Jack and Cherry arrived, and they went straight to the front desk to get her admitted. Jack went to everyone and hugged them, feeling overwhelmed.
"Hey Jack, how is our Sis doing?" Christine asked.
"The contractions are getting very close, 3 to 5 minutes apart." Jack replied.
"Oh yeah, that's how it was when I was in labor with Angela, very painful." Christina added.
"I wish I could take the pain away from her." Jack told them.
"I know the feeling, fella." Drew answered.
"She has all of us. She is covered for life!" Christine added.
"Absolutely!" Christina agreed.
After their brief conversation, Christina and Christine received texts from Denise, telling them they were on their way to the hospital as well.
"Holy crap! Denise and Randy are on their way too!" Christine said.
"And she said she's having contractions as well!" Christina added.
"You mean….." Drew replied.
"Yes, honey. Denise could possibly be delivering her boys around the same time with Cherry!" Christina told Drew.
"Holy smokes!" Sheamus exclaimed.
"We may be having three babies delivered very soon!" Drew added.
"Our extended family is growing, and I cannot wait!" Sheamus said.
Ten minutes later, Denise and Randy arrived, hugging everyone.
"Has Cherry arrived yet?" Denise asked everyone.
"She's already admitted." Drew answered. Suddenly, Denise felt something wet by her feet…..
"Oh shit! My water just broke!" Denise screamed.
"Time to get you admitted now, honey!" Randy added.
"Hurry!" Denise yelled.
Randy went to the front desk and asked someone to assist his wife and they admitted her immediately. Randy and Jack knew the time was coming for their wives to give birth to their babies and they were anxious, yet excited. Cherry and Denise were admitted to rooms across from each other. Both Jack and Randy were by their side making sure they were okay. The doctors and nurses examined them. Cherry is 4 centimeters dilated, whereas Denise is 5 centimeters. They have a long day/night ahead of them. Both ladies were dealing with excruciating pain many hours into their labor. They both received epidural to help ease and numb the pain.
10 hours later….
"Mrs. Orton, it is time for you to deliver your boys." The Doctor told her.
"Oh yes! Please let me deliver them with everything in my being!" Denise yelled.
After many hours of painful contractions and dilating, Denise was ready to deliver her twin boys first. Randy was in the room with her the whole time. Even though she was cursing at him most of the time, he knew she didn't mean it. Doctors and nurses were encouraging Denise to push, same with Randy while holding her hand. Within minutes, Denise delivered the first baby boy, then a minute later, the second one was born. Both boys have full heads of dark black hair. Randy and Denise were crying tears of joy, seeing their twin boys welcomed into the world. The cleaned and weighed the boys. Both twins weighed 5.5 pounds, 14 ounces; time and date of birth: July 4, 8:15 & 8:16 PM. Randy was holding the first twin, while Denise held the second.
"Our boys! We did it babe. I love you so much!" Randy cried, kissing his boys.
"Yes, we did, my viper. I love you too and our family so much! Denise replied, crying.
Randy took a picture of himself and Denise holding their boys, texted everyone and within seconds, everyone responded.
"OMG! The boys are so beautiful!" Christina screamed.
"They are precious!" Christine answered.
"Double Trouble!" Sheamus added.
"They will keep Denise and Randy on their toes." Drew replied.
"Yes, they will." Sheamus agreed.
The nurse came in, congratulated the couple, and asked for the babies' names to put on their birth certificates. Denise and Randy agreed they would keep his last name. The first twin's name is Randall, the second twin's name is Randolph.
"They are going to steal little girls' hearts." Randy said.
"Just like you have stolen mine." Denise replied.
"You know it, babe." Randy kissed Denise on the lips.
The doctor stepped out to check on Cherry across the hall. Seeing that she is fully dilated, it is time for her to deliver her baby. Jack was inside holding her hand, kissing her forehead, and encouraging her to push.
"It's time, princess." Jack said, kissing her hand.
"Oh yes! She's one stubborn baby!" Cherry yelled.
Everyone was encouraging her to push. While Cherry was pushing, Jack saw the baby's head and she'd got a full head of dark red hair. Cherry pushed once more and soon they heard cries of a beautiful baby girl. Cherry was sweating profusely, but she was overjoyed with seeing her baby girl. Jack was crying after seeing his wife deliver their baby girl. Nurses cleaned and weighed the baby, 7 pounds 6 ounces; time and date of birth: July 4, 8:30 PM. The nurse handed Cherry her newborn baby girl, making her and Jack cry tears of joy. Jack kissed Cherry on the lips and kissed his newborn daughter on her head.
"Welcome to the world Delia Annabelle Jester. We love you so much." Cherry cooed.
"Our little princess. We love you, Delia." Jack said.
Drew and everyone were able to come through to see the girls and their newborn babies. First, they stopped to see Denise and Randy's twins.
"I never thought I see the day, Randy holding his twins." Drew replied.
"Same here, fella." Sheamus added.
"Congratulations, Sis! They are so cute!" Christina went to Denise and hugged her.
"Thank you so much!" Denise replied, feeling exhausted.
"They are so adorable; we may need to get them pens so they can start writing love letters." Christine added.
"I will pay money to see that." Drew replied, laughing.
"Congratulations, Viper. We cannot wait for those playdates with the kids." Sheamus said.
"Thank you all so much!" Randy replied.
"Go check on Cherry, we think she gave birth too." Denise added.
"I heard her, babe. Their baby girl is born." Randy said.
"OMG! They have the same birthday! Planning their birthday parties is going to be A LOT of fun!" Christine said, excitedly.
"I cannot wait!" Christina agreed.
Twenty minutes later, the nurse wheeled Cherry into Denise's room along with Jack and everyone came over to congratulate them as well.
"Cher, she's so beautiful!" Christina said.
"She looks like you and Jack!" Congratulations, Sis!" Christine added.
"Girl, your baby girl is so precious and adorable!" Denise replied.
"Thank you all so much! Cherry said, tears welling up.
"Our little girl Delia is ready to take the world by storm." Jack replied as a proud father.
"Yes, she will." Cherry agreed.
"Girl, meet the new additions to the family." Denise added, pointing at Randy.
"Oh my! They are so handsome and precious!" Cherry said.
"My little heartbreakers Randall, and Randolph. Can't top off this moment." Randy replied.
"Nope, this moment will be remembered forever." Drew added.
"Absolutely!" Sheamus replied.
And just like that, their extended family has expanded even more! Denise and Cherry gave birth to their beautiful babies, and everyone was filled with joy! Sheamus and Christine are very happy and thrilled for everyone. As Christine was rubbing her belly, she could not wait for her and Sheamus to deliver their own bundle of joy very soon.
Chapter 20 is coming up!
