Season 1: Fun and Fancy Free:

Jack's POV:

Once upon a time, in England, there lived me. My name is Jack and I'm 19 years old. I lived with my Uncle Anton. My parents have been dead for some time. It's just me, my uncle, and our cow... we don't have much. I saw my uncle about to kill the cow with an ax.

"Wait, Uncle, you're not really gonna kill Bessie, are you," I asked.

"You're right, Jack," my Uncle says, "take it into town and sell her."

"Sell the cow," I asked.

"We need food, and she hasn't given us milk in years."

"I guess you're right," I said.

. . .

So, I was in town, trying to sell my cow. Then a stranger came. He's about the same age as me.

He is a handsome young man, with rosy skin, lean features and long, black hair, tied into a ponytail with a white ribbon. His attire consists of dark blue balloon pants, a white shirt and light blue overshirt. He wears several armor pieces over his wrists, upper body and lower legs, along with white socks and wooden sandals. He also wears a pink, armless coat, held closed by a white band and a straw hat.

"Hello, I am Momotarō."

"I'm Jack. You're not from around here, are you?"

"I'm from the East," says Momotarō, "is that your cow?"

"Yeah, I gotta sell her because my uncle and I don't have much food. You want to buy her?"

"I don't have much money," says Momotarō, "but I think I have something else you might like."

"Is it a big feast," I asked.

"I can't carry a feast around with me, but I could use that cow while I'm on my journey. I think these will be good for you."

"Three beans," I asked.

"Oh, I get it, this is a con," I said, "I'm not as gullible as I look."

"What do you mean? These beans are magic."

"Right, you're trying to trick me," I said.

"No, it's true. I don't know what they do, but they possess a magic power," says Momotarō, "I don't think it will help me with my journey."

I think he might be serious. "Okay, a deal's a deal." So, I traded the cow for the beans.

Maybe these beans will grant my deepest dreams. I just gotta imagine the feast they could give me.

Jack: Hey look
Turkey, lobster, sweet potato pie
Pancakes piled up 'till they reach the sky
Oh...
I wanna eat and eat and eat and eat and eat until I die

Turkey, lobster, sweet potato pie
Pancakes piled up 'till they reach the sky
Lots of starches, lots of greens.
Fancy chocolate covered...

"Jack," says Uncle Anton.

"Uncle Anton, guess what?"

"Did you sell the cow," asks Uncle Anton.

"Better, I traded the cow to a boy from the East," I said.

"What," asks Uncle Anton, "what did you trade the cow for?"

"These three magic beans," I said.

"WHAT?" asks Uncle Anton, "JACK, YOU'VE BEEN CONNED! THIS BOY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF YOU! THROW THOSE BEANS OUT!"

I then did so. Maybe he's right. That Momototo guy is different, so he probably can't be trusted. Oh well.
