"You're hurt," Urbosa observed with her concerned green eyes, glancing at Revali's stiff posture. He covered his torso with his wing. They had just defeated a Lynel in a close call battle. It had taken them both by surprise. More monsters than ever had started appearing the closer the Calamity came.

"I'm fine," Revali said a bit too hastily, still holding his torso.

The Gerudo Champion hesitated at what to say. It was clear Revali was lying, but she knew any words she chose to speak, no matter how kind they were, they would be returned with hostility. "I'm no doctor, but I think I can tell when someone is in pain," Urbosa put her hands on her hips.

"I said I'm fine, it's nothing!" Revali tried to assure her, not moving his wing from his side, but swatting her away with his other wing while his breathing wavered. He started walking ahead. "Let's regroup with the others," Revali tried to change the subject, passing by her.

Urbosa slowly followed after him. "Hmph. You're one strange bird..." Urbosa shook her head. "Most of the time, you're doing all you can to become the center of attention. Now that I'm actually giving you the attention you crave, you're trying to avoid it. I don't think I'll ever understand you."

"Tch, I could say the same about every last one of you other Champions," Revali looked away from her.

Urbosa stood in front of him so that he had to stop walking. "If you won't admit you're hurt, I'll have no choice. Either I'll have to force you to show me that you're really 'fine', or I can just tell Mipha as soon as we get back that you need healed," Urbosa put her foot down.

"And who do you think you are? My mother?" Revali retaliated.

"We're supposed to be a team, Revali. I wish you'd see that all of us are willing to help you when you need it. That's what being a team is all about. I'm not about to let you hurt yourself further by ignoring your injuries. We need you healthy and able to fight."

"I am able to fight and I do not need help! Helping the other Champions and having them help me is not what I signed up for. I can take care of myself. My task is to pilot Vah Medoh to save Hyrule from the Calamity, that is all."

Urbosa rolled her eyes. "I could go on a long spiel about how we're supposed to do that as a team too, but I doubt that would be worth my time," Urbosa looked down at where Revali's wing was covering. "To be honest, we've already wasted enough time arguing," Quickly, she snatched the Rito's wing, where other races would have a wrist, and she pulled his wing off of his side.

"Urbosa!" Revali quickly tried to yank away from her grasp, but her Gerudo grip was ridiculously strong, and his senses weren't as sharp as they should be since he was injured. He didn't expect her to move so fast.

Urbosa couldn't see anything wrong just by looking at it, so she reached out with her other hand quickly to nudge his side.

"What are you— ngh!" Revali flinched as he hunched forward and took a step back from her as soon as she had poked him.

Urbosa sighed. "Just as I thought. You're hurt. Now why was admitting that so hard?"

Revali ripped his wing free from Urbosa's grasp, immediately putting it back over his injury and snarled, "I'll take care of it once I return home. I'm not a fledgling that needs watched over!"

"If I didn't know any better, I would think you enjoy being in pain. What good does it do to punish yourself like this? You know that Mipha would be more than willing to heal that for you."

"It's not that serious... I'll be just fine, thank you. Now let's get back to the others," Revali kneeled immediately to use his gale to get out of this conversation. Lunging into the air, he flew off.

Urbosa rolled her eyes as her hair whipped around in the breeze. "I'll never understand him..."

The breeze in Revali's face helped to cool his anger from the way Urbosa had treated him. He knew she only wanted to help him, yet it felt entirely condescending to be talked to as if he couldn't take care of himself. He didn't want a big deal to be made out of the matter. Yes, he liked attention, but only when it came from a place of awe, not pity. As he flew, his side began aching worse. It became more difficult to hold his body in the position to fly, as it was putting much strain on his torso. Suddenly, the muscles in his side tightened in pain and he cried out as he lost stability in flight. Starting to descend rapidly, Revali tried to slow his descent and get to solid ground. He only hoped none of the other Champions saw him struggling to fly. He soon made it to the tree line, but then his wings gave out. Plummeting the last few yards into the ground, Revali moaned as he lay in the grass in pain. He wrapped his wings around his stomach, pulling his knees in towards his abdomen.

"Get up," an inner voice scolded Revali. "No one can see you looking pathetic." Yet he couldn't get up quick enough.

"Revali!" He heard Mipha's concerned voice coming towards him quickly. He also heard Daruk rolling in beside her. "Are you ok?! What's wrong?!" Mipha quickly kneeled next to him.

"I'll be fine!" Revali shouted, desperately trying to prop himself up, yet his wings shook weakly.

Daruk scratched his head. "What happened when you and Urbosa split up from the rest of us? We saw you plummeting out of the sky—"

"Please, go find Urbosa— we were fighting a Lynel—" He trailed off, just desperately trying to find a way to get rid of them.

"I'll go find her. I'll crush that monster to smithereens!" Daruk started rolling down the path.

"Mipha, you should go too… I'll be fine, Urbosa needs you," Revali lied.

"Are you sure you'll be ok? You look absolutely miserable, Revali," Mipha worried. "Let me heal y—"

"There's no time to waste, just go! Worry about me later!" Revali shooed her away, knowing Daruk would travel fast and realize it was all a lie.

Mipha nodded and quickly left.

Revali forced himself to his talons, and didn't notice his pain as much now that his adrenaline had reactivated. He quickly flew away, this time gliding closer to the ground.
