Chapter 5: Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum:
Jack's POV:
The three of us entered the demon's lair and there was more than enough food for the village. There was enough for the country!
"No one can survive eating all that," says Momotarō.
"I'm gaining weight just by looking at it," says Zhang, "but we can't take any of it until the demon is vanquished. I'll look for the demon while you two look for the girl."
We then separated.
. . .
Momotarō and I began looking for Urikohime, but then we heard something...
Po Kong: FEE, FI, FO, FUM
HEE, HI, HO, HUM
I'M A MOST AMAZING GAL
A MOST AMAZING GAL AM I!
FEE, FI, FO, FUM
HEE, HI, HO, HUM
I'M THE STUFF, I'M TELLING YOU!
FOR HERE'S WHAT I CAN DO
I CAN CHANGE MYSELF INTO AN ELF
FLY UP HIGH LIKE THE BIRDS
I CAN DISAPPEAR INTO ATMOSPHERE - PEEKABOO!
BECAUSE I KNOW THE MAGIC WORDS
FI, FO, FEE, FOY
FEE, FEE, FEE, FEE... FIFI? I DON'T KNOW NO FIFI!
"That's the Mountain Demon," I said.
"And now you know why they call her a mountain demon," says Momotarō.
She resembles a green-skinned gargantuan monster with stubby arms and legs. She is noseless and has big, red lips with long eyelashes and dark hair tied in a bun. Being the Mountain Demon, She's the largest but yet hideously ugly creature that I have ever seen with a bulbous, morbidly obese build and numerous rock fragments located around her body. She is so large she can hold the likes of a person in her hands.
We then continued on our way, but then we stopped when we saw Po Kong with a Marmot who's her familiar and it's name is Shān which is what the immortal told us about earlier is on her left shoulder opening a box.
"HELLO, MY LITTLE MOON CAKES!" says Po Kong opening her hand to reveal a young girl, who I am assuming is Urikohime, in it, "IT'S NOT TO LATE YOU KNOW!" she then caresses Urikohime's cheek with her claw which made Urikohime disgusted by the touch.
"You awful creature," says Urikohime as she pushes Po Kong's claw away from her, "I will never be your bride!"
Momotarō and I both knew that she was in an awkward situation.
"IT SEEMS I HAVE TO PUT YOU BACK IN THE CHEST!" says Po Kong. She then locks her away and then leaves.
"Let's get her out," says Momotarō.
"And hope she doesn't come back," I said.
We then traveled to get to the chest and hear Urikohime crying.
"Urikohime," says Momotarō.
"Momotarō, is that you?"
"Yes, we're here to get you out. By the way, I brought a friend."
"Hello, I'm Jack."
"Get me out and we can have a proper meeting."
"Right," we both said.
Just as we were about to, the demon grabbed us.
"NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!" shouted a horrified Urikohime.
"NICE TRY!" says Po Kong.
"UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... wait," I said, "is it true you can change into anything?"
"THAT IS CORRECT!" says Po Kong.
"Well... I bet you can't turn into a fly," I said.
"A FLY!" asks Po Kong, "WOULDN'T YOU RATHER A COBRA?"
"Well, if you can't turn to a fly..." I gestured for Momotarō to see the fly swatter. He then nods and walks towards it.
"FINE!" says Po Kong, "A FLY! FEE-FI-FO-FUM!" Po Kong then turns into a cobra. "DID YOU REALLY THINK I WOULDN'T SEE YOU LOOKING AT THE FLY SWATTER?"
"It was worth a shot," I said.
We ran and the Mountain Demon in her cobra form chased after us.
. . .
We ran into a mouse hole. The Mountain Demon left.
"This must be what it's like to be as small as my mouse," I said.
"Where's Zhang when you need him," asks Momotarō.
"Right here," says Zhang, "like you, I was hiding. I realized that I need the one item for my spell... my drum."
"What," we asked.
"We Immortals each have a symbol and my symbol is a drum."
"And why don't you have a drum," asks Momotarō.
"I think someone stole it from me when I was looking for Jack," says Zhang.
"So, we have a big problem," I said.
To Be Continued
