A new day dawns, with no suffering, no sadness, no pain, and...Natsuki Subaru and Plum Risch sleeping together, in the same bed. At first, he didn't want to sleep with her at all, but Plum was so insistent that he gave in and was embarrassed to sleep with a girl, it was the first time and he would have preferred to sleep with Emilia.

"I'm in my room and it feels like someone's pulling on my left arm".

Her gaze shifted to whatever was preventing her from moving her left arm, noticing Plum sound asleep and clutching Subaru's arm like a stuffed toy. It was a little disturbing, but she had no ulterior motive, so what was the point of being embarrassed by such an innocent girl?

"How am I going to get out of here without waking her up..."

After a few seconds of gradually shifting his arm, he heard the occasional cute little noise from the girl, but pretended he hadn't heard. He tiptoed out of bed and out of the room, leaving Plum alone and asleep.

"I'm finally out, was the mansion this big yesterday?!"

A few seconds passed, the young man began to get bored of walking aimlessly and opened a door at random, well more precisely he'd had a strange feeling looking at one of the doors in the corridor as if it were special and bingo, behind the door was a huge bookcase with a young girl sitting on a chair in it.

"The first villager of the manor! Well, I should say second since I met Ram last night, but whatever!"

"How rude to enter without knocking on the door!"

"Sorry little one! By the way, where are we?"

The girl was annoyed at the man who'd just entered her library without her permission, so she stood up and moved towards Subaru, but when she looked into his eyes, she immediately gave up trying to hurt him. She was even a little embarrassed at having wanted to hurt him, she supposed.

"In the forbidden library of Roswaal Manor, may I ask what your name is?"

"I didn't expect you to ask my name, my name is Natsuki Subaru, eternally ignorant and broke! What about you?"

Normally, she would have been annoyed by the silly young man in front of her. But for some reason, hearing his voice gave her pleasure, she felt as if she'd finally found "that person", it was certainly him but she didn't know it. She hadn't been given any indication of who was supposed to help her, and she absolutely didn't want to make a mistake and break Mother's promise.

"I'm Beatrice, the great spirit of this library. Pleased to meet you, I suppose.

"Me too! I wouldn't want to keep the others waiting so I'll have to go, it was fun see you later!"

Subaru turned around and started heading for the exit, until a small hand grabbed her from behind. This was Beatrice's spirit, she didn't want to lose her only chance after so many years of loneliness. She sensed he was a special person who didn't want to take advantage of her knowledge; he was probably the opposite, given his attitude.

"Um, do you need anything Beako?"

"Please, don't leave me alone! I've waited so many centuries for you, you're definitely "that person"...if you're not, please...fulfill just one request for me..."

He didn't quite understand Beatrice, and tears began to form near the spirit's eyes. She was very pretty, but rather strange. It was as if she'd just said something deep in her heart and had been dreaming of saying it for hundreds of years. He'd probably misunderstood, but wanted to help his new friend.

"I see, it was sure that I was engraved in a prophecy! Yes, I'm "that person" who's going to change the world! I will be the greatest knight, mage and hero of this world!"

She'd ignored the rest of his sentence, but when she heard that he was "that person" she'd been waiting for so long, she couldn't help but be happy. Beatrice, the great spirit, had finally found what her Mother had asked of her. The request that had kept her saddled up was finally lifted, thanks to Natsuki Subaru.

"Can we make a contract, then, that will bind us until death. Me and you, Subaru~"

After several minutes of discussion, Natsuki Subaru was the entrepreneur of the Beatrice spirit. He now had two lolis ready to do anything for him."

"Subaruu~ "

For several minutes, Subaru and Beatrice had been strolling through the manor. They had formed a contract, and it was a good thing she had no ill intentions, otherwise Subaru could easily have fallen into a trap.

"Beako, do you know where my room is? I left my friend in my bed since she was still asleep and-"

"Follow me Subaru, I can use my magic to get us somewhere fast. Grab my hand."

Subaru, hesitant to hold her new spirit's hand. She notices that her contractor still hesitates to take her hand so easily, so she takes the first step for him and tries to reassure him.

"Don't worry, I'm now at your complete disposal, I suppose."

"It's a bit strange when you put it like that! Wait, don't tell me..."

"No! I didn't have any other ideas in mind, actually."

Then she quickly made her way to the next door and went in together; as they entered, they were transported back to the room where he'd been an hour or two ago. Plum was sitting on the bed, and quickly noticed that he was back.

"Subaruuu! Don't abandon me now..."

She was starting to cry a few tears, as if he'd been gone forever. He really didn't understand this little girl, but he still adored her cuteness. Subaru quickly tried to reassure her, while Beatrice ignored Plum.

"I'm sorry Plum, I didn't think you'd feel this bad. But meet your new friend, Beako the spirit of the mansion library and now my spirit!"

"Pleased to meet you, I suppose."

It was clear from her face that she was doing her utmost to give the impression of not giving a damn about anyone but her contractor. But Plum was too young to know that she was pretending to be delighted to meet her.

"Hello...Beako? Is that right?"

"Subaru! Now she thinks I'm your stupid nickname, call me by my first name."

"Ahah, sorry the ultimate spirit of Roswaal Manor's forbidden library and cutest of them all, Beatrice."

Subaru teased his mind again, they were already quite close, strangely enough. No one had noticed the tiny change in Subaru's appearance. The spirit, Beatrice, gave a cute little squeal before beginning her next sentence, but preferred to stop her contractor's teasing now.

"I give up..."

Feeling a little left out of the conversation between Subaru and Beatrice, the young Plum took up the question she'd asked a few seconds ago, to finally find out the name of Subaru's new friend.

"So uh...what's your first name if it's not Beako?"

"Beatrice, it was easy to guess, actually."

In a faraway place, outside the great cascade and all limits. Lolimancer's power took effect from so far away, it took a few hours for him to reach this unknown place of life. Many people who were supposed to have died, came back to life because of their great power and the effectiveness of Subaru's power.

"This smell is so...amazing. I'd love to take a little bite of this new flavor."

"Is that the smell of a sinner? I absolutely must know if this is a good person."

Two calamities, supposed to have been dead for over 400 years, were given a chance to come back to life. She hadn't anticipated that these powers would be so powerful as to bring them back...and there was nothing she could do about it now.

"We'll have to go there Daph, it must be quite far, we should get there in several dozen days with luck. Well, knowing you, we'll take a lot longer with your hunger..."

"Ouii~! I don't have my centipede coffin anymore, I'd have a harder time holding back."

The two witches moved forward together, in search of the person who had brought them back to life. They had the impression that this person would be very special and powerful - well, maybe not as powerful as they expected...

Meanwhile, in the Roswaal mansion, a servant came to pick up Subaru, Beatrice and Plum to warn them that Roswaal had returned and it was time to eat. Plum and Beatrice stuck by Subaru as they walked, Beatrice advising Subaru to be careful, he avoided her words, thinking she was being overprotective.

Arriving in the main hall, he saw only Emilia, Ram, another maid who looked almost like Ram but with blue hair, and then a clown, no doubt there to provide a laugh during the meal. Subaru approached and greeted everyone, then patted the clown on the back.

"You even have a jester, ahah, I'll never understand the rich."

"Subaru is..."

"Don't worry, I'll introduce myself. I am the master of this mansion, Roswaal L. Mathers, enchanted Subaru."

"He's a scary clown..."

Roswaal, surprised to hear a new voice, turned sharply in the direction it had come from. He was surprised to see a young girl with green hair. He thought it must not be important for the future, otherwise he would have seen it in his book of wisdom.

"Oh a new faceee~! May I know your name, miss?"

"I'm Plum...Subaru's best friend~!"

"No, I'm her best friend because I'm her spirit!

"No it's me, I've known him longer than you!"

"Stop girls, I love both of you equally. You're both very important friends to me."

He hardly believed her words; after all, they'd only known each other a day, yet he had the strange feeling that they trusted him completely, no matter what he said or did.

"Beatrice, have you formed a contract with our guest?"

"That doesn't involve you, I can decide as I wish about my life and I hope I've disturbed your~"

"Why don't we go eat now, we're not going to stand around and talk without eating. Besides, I bet

Rem and Ram have prepared some delicious meals with their fairy fingerse~!"

No one had noticed, apart from Beatrice, that Roswaal was totally bewildered by the situation. There had been too many changes all at once, first the girl who wasn't supposed to be there, now Beatrice having formed a contract with Subaru in such a short space of time. Something was wrong and he was determined to find out what the change was and fix it as much as possible.

Everyone took their seats at the table, and the maids stood behind their master, no one noticing that during the meal, the blue-haired maid was watching Subaru a lot. After all, it's not every day you see a new person with girls fighting over him, especially as one of them is the great spirit, Beatrice.

"Stop bickering so much you two, I feel like I've become your father."

"I categorically refuse to be considered your daughter, in fact!"

The margrave was also watching the trio a lot, with all attention focused on them. In this situation, you could say the world revolved around them, and Emilia couldn't help laughing at the absurd situation Subaru found himself in. Rem and Ram found the scene stupid and Roswaal was stunned.

"By the way, what happened in the capital, my dear guest?"

"Uh...I probably made a big mistake, Roswaal."

"Emilia? What is this 'nonsense'?"

"I lost my badge and...I haven't...found it."

He was on the verge of exploding, everything was different. They weren't supposed to come back to the mansion without the badge, after a few seconds of thinking, he told himself he should have ordered her to kill Emilia if she didn't cross him. When did everything go wrong? Why did it go wrong? Was it the new girl's fault, or some special event. He probably couldn't find out without arousing suspicion.

The room had fallen silent, waiting for Roswaal's answer for several seconds already. They were surprised to see him so serious all of a sudden, and Emilia was already expecting to be scolded or perhaps kicked out of the manor because of this mistake.

"I see, I'll take care of that problem. I apologize, I must leave the table. Ram please come with me."

They left the room, something no one thought they'd do, and the meal continued in silence. Even Plum and Beatrice didn't want to talk anymore, the atmosphere had been spoiled too much. Normally, Roswaal would have continued to follow his book, but instead he went off to think about what to do next.

Roswaal was now in his room, and Ram was out front, watching to make sure no one entered his room while his master finished what he was doing. She knew he was undoubtedly working on his book of wisdom, and could see that he was very disturbed during the meal.

"Did he die at least once...? I don't get the impression from the state he's in, unless it's a facet. The change probably comes from the kid, but where does she come from and who is she?"

He was looking for any clue as to what might have happened, but at the moment, he couldn't act so recklessly. Especially not after so many changes, he absolutely had to find a way to fix everything.

"He and Beatrice bonded earlier than expected, which isn't a problem even if their relationship seems far too developed in such a short time. She should have ended up depressed or dead because of him...it's all so impossible."

He continued to think for the rest of the day, trapped in a kind of loop that had completely failed and was probably irreparable by now.

"Beako, do you want to go to the village with me and Plum?"

"I'd still come with you, but why go to the village?"

"During the trip from the capital to here, last night I spotted some villagers and thought we'd go and see if there were any other kids for Plum to play with other people his own age."

"Subaruu~! I only want to stay with you..."

"I'll stay with you, don't worry Plum."

So they set off together - Subaru, Beatrice and Plum - in the direction of the village of Arlam.

Strangely, Beatrice had the feeling that she was being watched, or that someone was watching her. She ignored this thought for the moment when her contractor teased her.

"Wait-...I feel like...that's not possible...your mana gate, I just noticed it looks like a newborn's."

"My mana door? Oh, I get it! I'll tell you a little more privately about the reason, well I think I know the reason."

"Subaruuu I want to know too!"

"Ahah, I could tell you about it when you're older. It's the village, we're almost there!"

Arriving at the village, Subaru took a quick look around and noticed a group of children. He encouraged Beatrice and Plum to go with them, but preferred to stay with him. In the end, Subaru had to stay with them; he didn't mind, but it was rather inconvenient for their social life.

"Oh! It's people from the manor!"

"I didn't know there were kids at the mansion, yay!"

The children were now all around Subaru, Plum and Beatrice. Looking at all the children, one by one, he saw a young girl with medium-length reddish-brown hair stretching to her shoulders and cyan eyes. Her face suddenly changed as she looked at him, and she gave a little smile that would have made anyone smile.

"What is your name, sir?"

"My name is Natsuki Subaru! Future great knight and mage of this kingdom!"

At the same time as his short presentation, he struck a silly pose that lit up the eyes of the girl with the reddish-brown hair.

"And let me introduce you to my friends Beatrice and Plum! They're as kind as a cordon bleu."

"I don't like that expression, I guess."

"She's so cute with her hair, do you think we can touch it?"

The other children played with their two new friends, except for the girl from earlier who stayed close to Subaru. He was a little worried at first, but she said she'd like to stay with him for a while.

"Subaru? My name is Petra Leyte and I'd like to become your friend too!"

"Nice to meet you, Petra. I think my list of friends is going to explode in less than a week at this rate! ahah"

"Why will your list of girlfriends explode?"

"It's an expression, I became friends with Beatrice this morning and Plum yesterday. Three friends in just two days is a record for me!"

"So I might still have a chance..."

"Huh? I didn't hear too much, sorry."

"I-I wanted to ask you, do the three of you live at the mansion?"

"Yes, we're living at Roswaal Manor at the moment. Perhaps I should bring Emilia here, I'm sure she'd get on well with you all."

"I have a strange request for you...subaru."

"What do you wish to ask me?"

The girl had a shy expression on her face, she wanted to ask him something important. It was undoubtedly a face that could make any boy cringe, but Subaru was getting used to it with the other two girls.

"Could I also accompany you, I will do anything you wish but please, I want to help you and stay with you, Subaru!"

Suddenly, there was silence. Of all the situations, he'd never thought the girl would ask him this. It was impossible, he must have misheard. First Plum, then Beatrice and now Petra.

"E-...WHAT ABOUT YOUR PARENTS!? I don't think they'd be okay with you coming with me, plus we've only just met, any time I'm a bad person!"

"My parents would probably agree (if I tell them I'm working for you), then I feel like if I don't go with you, I'll regret it for the rest of my life and you can't be a bad person especially when you have two such nice friends."

Subaru, having run out of arguments against her coming with him, was forced to accept. He could have said no, but he knew that if he was to build up his reputation as the kingdom's future great knight and mage, he'd already have to establish a small reputation with the children.

"What a strange situation...I guess."

Subaru's spirit had returned. He hadn't even seen her arrive and didn't know how long she'd been here. But from the look on her face, she was intrigued by the situation.

"Beatrice?! How long have you been here?"

"Since a few seconds ago, when that girl confessed she wanted to stay with you. Personally, I don't mind, it'll keep the other girl busy, in fact."

"If Beatrice agrees, I don't mind you coming with us."

Without warning, she snuggled up to him. He had become so embarrassed that he was as red as a tomato. Petra was happy, she didn't know why, but she already adored Subaru with just one look, especially when she saw Subaru's magnificent eyes, the pupils of which were a mixture of sky blue and light pink.

Now he's got three girls to himself. Two girls in one chapter, we may soon be hearing about the Lolimancer's reputation!
