Chapter 7: The Brave Little Farmer:
Jack's POV:
I was in Po Kong's kitchen. There were these flies bugging me. Lucky for me, they were still the size of regular bugs. They probably flew up the beanstalk. There were seven. I then swatted them. "Look at that," I said, "I swatted seven flies with one blow."
"DID YOU SAY YOU SWATTED SEVEN WITH ONE BLOW!" says Po Kong, "SEVEN WHAT?"
"UUUUUUUUUmmmmmmmmm... guess," I said.
"SOME POINT BEFORE HE GOT UP HERE, IT MUST'VE BEEN SEVEN DEMONS!" says Po Kong, "COULD THEY HAVE BEEN MY SIBLINGS? I REALLY SHOULD'VE COME DOWN MORE! BUT I DIDN'T EVER SINCE SISTER TING'S FUNERAL! I'LL HAVE TO THINK CLEARLY ABOUT THIS!" Po Kong then walks way, thinking I'm some sort of super warrior. "OH, BY THE WAY, BEFORE I GO, DID I DO WEIRD THINGS WHILE I WAS TAKING MY NAP LIKE SAYING THINGS DO NOT BELONG IN THIS WORLD?"
"Kind of..."
"SO EMBARRASSING!" says Po Kong as she leaves, still thinking I'm some sort of super warrior.
"I think I got her scared," I said, "well, good, because I'm not afraid of her."
Jack: I fear nothing when I am in the right
Whoever pushes me around will find me full of fight
I fear nothing when I do nothing wrong
And so, I toddle on my way and sing a merry song
I'll be defiant and be obstreperous
If any giant should try and salt-and-pepper us
And I'll rise up, up to my fullest height
'Cause I fear absolutely nothing when I'm in the right
A man believes what he believes
And by these principles a man must stand
A time will come for rolled-up sleeves
And it might help to have a fist on hand
If I believe that I am right
There's only one thing to be done
I don't go looking for a fight
But I have never run away from one
But only fools will take a dare
And there are things that only fools defy
If I smell trouble in the air
I hold my breath until the breeze blows by
I'll snort defiance like some rhinoceros
Afraid of giants, now, isn't that preposterous
I find courage a thing of great delight
Sing fee-dilly-ay and fee-dilly-aye with steady hand and steely eye
I fear nothing when I am in the right!
I then heard something that made me startle, but it was Urikohime, Momotarō, and Zhang.
"We're here to get you out, Brave Boy," says Urikohime.
"Did you really swat seven with one blow," asks a chuckling Momotarō.
"Seven flies," I said, "she's just jumping to conclusions."
"Let us get you out of here before she swats us with one blow," says Zhang.
We then snuck out.
. . .
We were walking through the garden.
"We need to find a drum so I may banish that demon," says Zhang.
"Easier said than done," I said, "where are we going to find a drum?"
"I think my harp is telling me where we can find one," says Urikohime.
"Follow the harp," says Zhang.
"There's a sentence I never thought I'd hear," says Momotarō.
We then followed the magical singing golden harp to where we can find a drum to banished Po Kong.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, Jack and his friends look for a drum.
