Chapter 47 - Jared

While Bella headed to go talk to Leah, I knew that it was my chance to set up my proposal. I was quick to set everything up, not knowing how long she'd be gone. I made a trail with the flower petals that I'd picked up, starting at the front door leading all the way up to the bathroom. The I added the candles. I'd managed to put candles all over the bedroom and bathroom, even though I wouldn't light them until she was closer.

After I had everything set up, I walked into the bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed to wait for her. It was a couple of hours later, when I could her heartbeat getting closer. I went to fill the tub up. Then I started lighting the candles around the bedroom and bathroom. When I heard the front door close, I knew that it wouldn't be long.

I turned to watch the bedroom doorway. When she walked in, she had a look of surprise on her face. "What's going on?" She asked me.

"Bella, my Bella…I know that this might seem soon and if it is just tell me…but I know what I want. When I first met you, you were just Jacob's friend…We protected you because you were in danger. And then the battle happened and I knew that I would do whatever I had to, in order to make sure that you were safe, even if that meant that you stayed with the leech. But then you broke up with him, and I imprinted on you. From the moment the imprint happened, I knew what I wanted. I saw it so clearly in my mind. Us in the woods with you running your fingers through my fur. Us on the beach enjoying the day, you laughing. Us getting married. You having my baby. Our baby." I said slowly stepping closer to her. "I know that we haven't been together long and that the imprint tends to speed things up…but the one thing that I'm sure of is that your it for me. You're the only one that I'm ever going to give my heart and soul to." I said and I could see that she had tears running down her face. "Isabella Marie Swan, the love of my life, my imprint…please, will you do me the honor of marrying me? Will you be my wife?" I asked.

I waited for her answer. It seemed like forever when it was probably only a few minutes. "Jare, your it for me too. Yes!" She said before she jumped into my arms. I quickly wrapped my arms around her and kissed her. When I sat her back on the floor, she wiped the tears from her face. "Can I see it? The ring?" She asked. I pulled the ring box out of my pocket and opened it for her to see. She gasped, probably shocked that I had her grandmother's ring. "Is that…Is that my grandmother's ring?" She asked me.

I nodded. "Yeah. I went to see Charlie. I asked for his blessing. He gave me the ring. Said he figured this was coming sooner than later, so he took it to get it cleaned. Said your grandmother left it for you." I told her, as I took the ring out of the box and slipped it on her finger.

She looked up at me and smiled. "I love you Jare. I'm so happy right now." She said.

I leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "Care to take a bath with me, before we go meet the pack?" I asked her. She nodded. I grabbed her hand and led her into the bathroom. We both stripped and I climbed into the tub first before helping her in and settling her between my legs. "How'd it go with Leah?" I asked her.

She shrugged. "She's struggling. I think that she wants to quit phasing but she doesn't know if her wolf will be okay with that. Then on top of it, she's still struggling with her imprint to Jake. I told her that I thought the best thing for her to do would be to start by talking to Jake. There the first double imprint. It's not just about what she wants or what Jake wants. They need to figure it out together. Like we did." She said.

"Right. Did you go see Sam?" I asked, suddenly realizing that I could faintly smell him on her. Not much but it was there. She nodded.

"Yeah. Went by to tell him about my chat with Leah. He helped me up from an old chair I got stuck in." She said.

I moved her hair out of the way and gently kissed her neck where my mark was. She hummed. I could feel my wolf purring. There was nothing better than having my imprint…my fiance in my arms.

A little bit later, Bella and I were getting ready to head over to Sam's. She looked so beautiful. She was wearing a blue jean skirt and a tank top that had a wolf on the front of it. But what shocked me was that the looked like me. "Is that shirt new?" I asked her.

She had the biggest smile on her face. "Yeah. I had it custom made. I also have shirts for the other girls too." She told me, pointing to the stack of shirts on her dresser. When did she have time to do that?

"When?" I asked.

"I ordered them right before we took our trip, but when we came back and found out about the new imprints I added a couple more." She told me.

I smiled at her. "They look good." I said.

"Thanks." She said, walking over and kissing me.

"You ready to go?" I asked.

She nodded. "Yeah. Can you grab the shirts? I wanna take them to the girls." I nodded, walking over to her dresser and grabbing the stack of shirts.

"Let's go." I said before leading her out of the bedroom.
