In the Schoolyard...
Cat Noir, Ladybug and Class 1-A all made sure Natalie was taken care of in the Nurse's Office. She didn't look so good after running all that way from Adrien's house. The nurse gave her some medicine that helped ease her headache that she had. She even had a bruise on her face and arms that the Nurse took care of right away. Luckily, she didn't have any broken bones.
She was still able to walk, but the Nurse insisted she lay down.
Cat Noir, Ladybug and Class 1-A gathered around to make sure she was okay. Class 1-A didn't know her, but apparently she had seen Midoriya and that was good enough for them.
Adrien however, was very upset.
"Natalie... You've been helping my father... This entire time..." Cat Noir said to her, almost in tears, "I thought we were... family... I thought after my mom disappeared you... You were like a mother to me..."
Natalie's blue eyes widened, feeling so much disappointment coming off of him. She felt tears coming and couldn't stop them.
Ladybug placed her hand on his shoulder for support he as talked to Natalie. He tried to, but he couldn't think of what else to say to her.
"What happened, Natalie?" Ladybug asked for him.
"Gabriel... He had Midoriya hooked up to this machine... He found out that your superpowers are called quirks... And, you guys aren't from here... That you're from a different Japan..."
Class 1-A stood there shocked, not sure how to take this. Mr. Aizawa didn't like where this was heading.
"Izuku's quirk... There's something about it... He has multiple quirks... Gabriel wants them... to extract them..."
"What?!" Bakugo cried, making everyone flinch, "H-He... He shouldn't be able to do that!"
"He can't... Not yet at least... There's something about Izuku's quirk that's stopping him from taking it..."
"That's why his quirk was freaking out a couple days ago," Ladybug told them, "It was another one. He must not have known about it. That's why he wanted to go home. To see AllMight."
"AllMight... I heard Izuku talking about him to Gabriel... He gave him the quirk... He wasn't born with it... That's why he's drained most of his energy... Because it's not his..."
Everyone couldn't believe this. Midoriya's quirk was AllMight's quirk. He passed it down to him, the Symbol of Peace. Bakugo was the only one that dared to say anything.
"But... he still shouldn't be able to extract One for All from Deku! That's not how it works!"
No one could believe what they were hearing. All they could do was stare at their classmate.
"One for All? Deku's quirk is called One for All?" Uraraka asked still surprised.
"How do you know that? Unless, you've known about Midoriya and AllMight. I mean, you were childhood friends after all," Kirishima told him, looking a little hurt.
"It's not like that! I just found out not too long ago about them! Besides, that Butterfly Bastard still shouldn't be able to take it! At all!" Bakugo yelled a little too loudly, "There's only one way to take it!"
"Keep it to yourself for now, Bakugo," Mr. Aizawa told him, calming him down, "We don't want to let anything else get out."
Natalie felt that. She couldn't blame anyone if they didn't trust her. Especially Adrien.
"There's only thing I don't understand," Ladybug asked her, "Since you know all of this. How'd you make it out unscathed?"
"I..." She was about to start, but with Adr- Cat Noir sitting right there she didn't know if she should.
"Natalie, what's wrong?" Cat Noir asked, placing his hand on hers, "Are you feeling okay?"
"Yes, I am fine... I just... Don't think this is the best time to tell you with so many people around..."
Cat Noir looked around, seeing all of the determined faces around him. Ladybug's hand was still on his shoulder, giving him some leeway. He took a deep breath in and out, ready for Natalie to talk.
"We're heroes, Natalie. We want to save you and Midoriya. Please tell me what happened."
Natalie sat up, and Cat Noir noticed so he helped her out.
"I saw what Gabriel was doing to Izuku. It... wasn't very pleasant to watch... Izuku reminds me a lot you, Adrien... He's very caring about everyone he meets... So, I tried to stop Gabriel from hurting him... I tried to free him..."
"Yo-You did?!" Cat Noir cried, so happy to see that she still cared about him and the others.
"Ye-Yes... But... He tricked me... He had me carry Izuku's chains so neither of us could escape... He led us to..."
Natalie couldn't bring herself to say it. It was too much. Adrien shouldn't know this. He shouldn't have to deal with any of this.
"Natalie, please tell me. For Midoriya," Cat Noir said with pleading eyes.
"Miss, if it's too much for you," Mr. Aizawa said, stepping in, "Then maybe it'd be best if you told us anything else that you're okay with."
Natalie nodded and wiped her tears away that she didn't realize she had.
"...Gabriel brought us down to a huge room where he harvests the white butterflies... He showed Izuku... Something... It's the reason why he wants the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous... Izuku tried to reason with him, and I ended up siding with Izuku... But, Gabriel didn't listen... So, I let go of the chains... He tried to escape as I stopped Gabriel from going after him... But, I fell from high up... Izuku was almost out, but he went back to save me... He was still capable of using his quirk even with low energy... and he used it to save me... And so, he let me escape so I could get to you, Adrien..."
Silence filled in the air. Everyone stood there, taking everything in once she stopped talking.
Uraraka held the keychain tight in her grip as she he felt proud and upset at the same time. Proud that Midoriya saved someone from falling. And upset that he wasn't able to escape with her.
"Poor Deku," Uraraka mumbled.
Natalie broke the silence once she began to cough. Cat Noir reached for a cup of ice cold water and gave it to her.
"I think you've told us enough, Natalie," Mr. Aizawa said to her, "The nurse told us you've been sick for awhile. You should rest."
Natalie laid back down, but still held onto Cat Noir's hand.
"Adrien... I'd like see to your face..." Natalie said, "There's something else I must give you..."
Cat Noir looked around at everyone in the room, and then nodded at Natalie.
"Plagg, Claws In."
Cat Noir detransformed right in front of Natalie, Adrien now sitting before her. Natalie smiled at his green eyes that looked exactly like his mother's. She really wanted to tell him the truth, but it was too much for her. He'd find out eventually. And then she realized he had so many friends all around him to help him out.
She felt better knowing he had people who cared about him.
She felt for something on her finger and pulled it off. Gently taking his ungloved hand, she placed it in his. Adrien looked at what she had given him.
It was a silver ring.
"Th-This is..." Adrien said, speechless.
"It's your mother's ring... Gabriel gave it to me... To keep an eye on you... But, thing's have changed... So I want you to have it..."
Adrien stared at the ring, remembering his mother. So much has happened since the heroes in training showed up, and now this.
So he put it on proudly. Ready to face his father.
In Monarch's Lair...
Midoriya struggled against HawkMoth's restraints once again. Unfortunately, he had successfully brought him back up to his lair. He had passed out after saving Natalie. As soon as he woke up however, he'd been restless. He kept trying to break free, and every time, HawkMoth zapped him.
It didn't matter though.
He just kept pushing himself to get out of here. He couldn't let AllMight's quirk get stolen from a guy like this.
His watched his quirk being drained from the chains and into the machine. But that just made him want to get out even more now.
"Stop moving around so much, Izuku," HawkMoth told him, "You're just making it worse for yourself."
"I... Won't... Stop..." Midoriya growled, "I... Won't... Let... You... Have... One... for... All..."
"It doesn't look like you have much of a choice," HawkMoth told him, "I'm going to get that quirk of yours. And put it into a brand new Miraculous!"
"No! I... Won't... Let... You!"
Midoriya fought through the zapping pain coursing through his body. He tried to force One for All to activate, but the machine just kept taking it. If anything, he was helping him more than getting himself out.
HawkMoth watched the machine absorb his quirk faster than he expected.
"Yes! You keep doing that Izuku, and I'll have it in my grasps soon enough!" HawkMoth yelled as he let out maniacal laugh.
"No!"
Midoriya stopped and felt himself collapse onto the floor. The chains weighted him down as the machine still absorbed One for All. Fortunately, it wasn't absorbing as fast anymore. All he could hear was his heart beating in his ears.
"What? Did you lose all of your strength?" HawkMoth teased, "It doesn't matter anyhow. You helped accelerate my plans. Thank you, Izuku."
All Midoriya could think about were his friends that were worried sick. About now, he was hoping Natalie had finally made it to them and told them everything that's happened. Now, the only thing he could do was to wait for them. He couldn't even stand up anymore since he used too much of his quirk just now. Natalie and his friends were out there, planning something for HawkMoth, he could feel it.
"Yo-You still... Won't... Win... HawkMoth..."
HawkMoth looked more amused if anything. Just then, he grabbed for something that was attached to the machine.
It looked like a silver keychain. In the shape of a rabbit.
A Rabbit Miraculous.
It kind of reminded Midoriya of AllMight's hair and his hero costume.
His eyes widened at the realization of his plan coming to fruition. He could see the green energy from the machine going into the Rabbit Miraculous.
"It looks like I already have."
In the Schoolyard...
Ladybug and Cat Noir gathered Class 1-A into the Schoolyard as they prepared to save Midoriya and defeat Monarch. Natalie stayed behind to get some rest. Everyone had their hero costumes on and ready for a fight if need be.
School was getting out and students were leaving for the day. Alya and her friends made their way out when Zoe joined up with them to see how things were going. For Ladybug, she felt ready and so did Class 1-A. But Cat Noir, he kept twisting the ring under his leather glove.
He didn't understand why, but he felt better when he twisted the ring. It calmed him down.
"Cat Noir, are you ready?" Ladybug asked him, still worried about him.
"Huh? Ye-Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go!" Cat Noir said to her as he pumped himself up.
"Hold on, kitty. I've gotta take care of something first," Ladybug said.
She gestured over to Alya and Zoe when none of the other classmates were looking. They didn't know what she was getting at, but the two of them followed her into the locker room. Ladybug pulled out her yo-yo and opened it up. She reached inside the pink glow that emitted from it, and held two Miraculous.
The Bee and The Fox Miraculous.
"What? You got the Bee Miraculous back, too?" Zoe exclaimed, Alya looking just as surprised.
"Yes, we were able nab it from Chloe when she got Akumatized awhile ago," Ladybug told them, "And like Uraraka said, she took the Fox Miraculous away from Lila."
"Okay, I'm gonna have to thank that girl after this is all over!" Alya cried.
"Alya Cesaire, Zoe Lee, I need you both for this mission. This mission is very important to a lot of friends, not only are we saving De- Midoriya, but we're also defeating Monarch," Ladybug said as she bestowed them the Miraculous, "Are you willing to help out?"
They both looked at each other, excited to find out at they were secretly superheroes. They both nodded and took the Miraculous proudly. Once they put it on, their Kwamis appeared out of thin air. They looked so happy to see their previous holders again.
"Hey, Trixx. It's good to see you again," Alya greeted.
"Like wise," Trixx said with a tiny hand shake.
"Hey Pollen, I'm glad you're back. I hope Chloe wasn't too harsh with you," Zoe told her.
"It's fine. I didn't even get a chance to see her, so your my new queen from now on," Pollen told her as she bowed.
"Trixx, Let's Pounce!" Alya called out.
"Pollen, Buzz On!" Zoe called out.
They both transformed into their superhero costumes, Rena Rouge and Vesperia joining the mission. Ladybug nodded at both of them, so glad to have two of her teammates back. Ladybug, Rena Rouge and Vesperia exited the locker room looking quite stunning.
"Whoa! Are they...?" Jirou asked, looking stunned to see more heroes.
"Yep. Everyone, these are my teammates, Rena Rouge and Vesperia," Ladybug introduced, "Because we were able to get back The Bee and Fox Miraculous, I thought it might be best if we have the extra help for this mission."
"Wow! You guys look amazing!" Ashido cried out with cheer joy, "I love your costumes so much! What are your superpowers again?"
"Mine is Venom!" Vesperia told them as she tossed up her Top, "I can instantly paralyze a target with just a touch of my Top!"
"Oh, that's why Midoriya couldn't move when he got stung," Kirishima mumbled.
"My superpower is Mirage," Alya told them as she twirled her Flute around like a baton, "I can create any illusion with my Flute!"
"Wow! How does it work?" Ashido asked eagerly.
"You know what? Let's save that for the mission," Ladybug told everyone.
"Ladybug's right," Eraser Head said as he pulled down his goggles, "We need to get going."
Everyone joined in and stood by the front entrance of the School.
"Now, we all know that Monarch is Gabriel Agreste, Adrien's father," Eraser Head announced.
Rena Rouge and Vesperia were not informed, so they flinched when they heard the news. They tried so hard not to yell out, so they looked at Ladybug and Cat Noir. They both nodded, mostly Ladybug. The two heroes shook it off and focused on Eraser Head.
"We don't know where his lair is persay. So we're going to start with his house. Let's see if we can find anything there that will give us clues to where Midoriya and Monarch might be hiding," Eraser Head announced, "And if anyone finds anything suspicious or the lair itself, you are not to go in alone. Understood?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Then, let's move out!"
"We're coming for you, Deku," Ladybug thought.
Another really good chapter!
I like the way this one turned out with the others planning on saving Midoriya. It seems they're about ready to head out to get him back!
Midoriya's quirk is in trouble!
