With the Cooling Tower slightly safer than the Power Transformer, the group decides to stay and rest in the CEDA mobile command center safe house for half an hour. After that, they head out and the Power Transformer explodes four times and causes another Panic Event.
Coach: Okay, people, break time's over. Let's not keep Searchlight 6 waiting.
Nick: Would be fine by me.
Ellis: Hey Nick, you're complaining is getting on my last nerve.
Rochelle: Boys, let's focus on getting through the Cooling Tower first. Then we can start throw shit at Nick again.
[safe house door opens]
[explosions]
Rochelle: Holy shit! That was close!
[Left 4 Dead 2 horde screeching]
Coach: Game on, baby!
Rochelle: Coach, get back inside! Let's fight 'em in here!
[safe house door closes]

[Toxic Graveyard Horde Theme plays]
Once dealt with, they proceed outside and start cutting through the Cooling Tower area. After putting together the fact that his teammates purposely allowed the Special Infected to hurt him a bit back then, Nick gets quicker, deadlier and more accurate.
[Jockey Voice]

Nick: Let's go kill some zombies. *shove*
[Frying Pan hit]
[Jockey Death]
[Hunter Growls]
Nick: Hunter! On the Cooling Tower!
[AK-47 fire]
[Hunter Death]
Nick: He's dead.
[Charger Voice]
Coach: Oh, shit! Watch out!
Rochelle: Shoot it! Shoot!
[thud]
[Frying Pan hit]
[Charger Death]
[Smoker Coughs]
Ellis: Smoker! Smoker! *coughs* I can't see *coughs*
Coach: What the *coughs*
Nick: He's putting up a smokescreen!
[Smoker Voice]
Coach: No! *coughs* Get this motherf—
Ellis: *shove*
[AK-47 fire]
[Smoker Death]
Nick: Got it!
[Spitter Voice]
[Frying Pan hit]
[Spitter Death]
Nick: Dead.
With the incoming Specials down and out, Coach, Ellis, Rochelle and Nick move on further in the Cooling Tower area. Halfway there, they encounter a Carving Witch and see the Boomer's new ability for the first time.
Ellis: For a Cooling Tower it is still hot as Hell here.
Coach: I don't think they literally mean cold when naming the big thing. At least not out here.
[Witch Moans]
Rochelle: I'm gonna give that Witch something to cry about.
Nick: Kill your light.
[Witch Yells]
Ellis: What the hell? We haven't seen her do that before.
Nick: Whatever it is, I think I like it. Look at her go on those CEDA bastards.
Coach: Shut up, Nick.
Rochelle: Everyone, be ready to shoot her fast. Set it on fire!
[Witch Yells]
Ellis: Boomer on the Cooling Tower!
[Boomer Death]
The Boomer jumps off the Cooling Tower, explodes upon landing and extinguishes Rochelle's fire.
[Witch Yells]
Rochelle: Boomer why?! Kill the damn thing!
[gunfire]
[Witch Death]
Nick: So Boomers can put out fires now. That's gonna be annoying.
Coach: Now you'll know how we feel every time you open your mouth.
At the other side of the Cooling Tower, the survivors finally reach the building with the helipad, which turns out to be the Dominion Surry Power Station's headquarters building. Next to it is another CEDA mobile command center safe house.
Rochelle: Another safe house in another CEDA mobile command center. See, Nick? CEDA ain't so bad.
[Tank Growls]
Nick: Shit. Coach, WAIT!
[Tank Punches]
Coach: Argh!
[Tank Yells]
[Tank Theme plays]
It turns out a Tank was inside the CEDA-sponsored safe room and he manages to ambush Coach by punching him through the weakened safe house door.
Nick: What the hell happened in there, CEDA?!
Ellis: Light that mother up!
[gunfire]
Rochelle: Shoot it! Shoot it!
Coach: Shoot it! Shoot it!
[Magnum Pistol fire]
[Combat Shotgun fire]
Nick: It's the size of a truck! How are you missing?!
[Cricket Bat hit]
[Katana hit]
[Tank Punches]
Coach: Argh!
Rochelle: Ahhh!
[Tank Punches]
[crash]
Coach: Shit! I'm down!
Ellis: Ahhh!
Rochelle: I'm down!
The Tank then punches a limousine and incapacitates Coach, Ellis and Rochelle with it. Despite all they have said and done, and seeing a safe house in the Headquarters, Nick focuses fire on the Tank to kill it because he is pounding his teammates to death.
Coach, Ellis and Rochelle: *terrified yell*
[AK-47 fire]
Nick: Keep shooting!
[gunfire]
[Frying Pan hit]
[Tank Punches]
Nick: Argh!
[Magnum Pistol fire]
[Tank Death]
Nick: Done like dinner. *shakes self wake*
With a Random Horde Event possibly on the horizon, the Gambler uses his Adrenaline Shot to quickly revive the High School Teacher, the Mechanic and the News Reporter. He even heals Coach while he is at it.
Nick: You're not dead yet. Come on, pull yourself together.
Rochelle: Thanks, Nick. That's better.
Nick: Easy there, fireball.
Ellis: Oh, they knocked the piss outta me.
Nick: Time to get some revenge.
Ellis: Hey, thanks a lot. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
[Toxic Graveyard Horde Theme plays]
[gunfire]
Nick: Ah, shit! Come on! Come on! Come on!
Coach: Thanks, man!
Nick: I'm gonna heal you, keep shooting!
Coach: All good now. Thanks!
Nick: That's what I'm here for.
Then he leads the team to the safe room in the CEO's office in the Headquarters while Ellis covers the retreat with his Pipe Bomb!
Coach: Safe room in the HQ building!
Nick: Move! Move! Move!
Rochelle: Hold on, I'm coming!
Ellis: Chase this!
[Pipe Bomb ticking]
[explosion]
[safe house door closes]
Nick: Take that you mealy-mouthed bastards!
We're safe... for now.
