The station was in chaos and Amelin tightened her grip on the little girl in her arms. Draco, meanwhile, helped their son push his luggage trolley through the people. In front of a brick wall between platform 9 and 10 they stopped. "Alright Scorp you know what to do?" Draco asked squeezing his son's shoulder. Scorpius nodded and looked at the wall. "Don't worry nothing will happen and Mama and I are right behind you", Draco said with a calm voice. Scorpius took a deep breath and then ran towards the wall through which he finally disappeared. "Do you really think the barrier will let me pass?" Amelin asked looking worriedly at Draco. He smiled wrapping his arm around Amelin. "They changed the regulations so that parents of muggle born can accompany their children. So don't worry. Come before Scorp starts to panic." Then Draco pulled his wife and daughter through the magical barrier. Scorpius waited on the other side for his parents looking around wide eyed. Amelin was also impressed from what she saw and again she realized how little she still knew about the world her husband came from. With her family Amelin went over the platform until they saw an empty compartment from outside. While Draco helped Scorpius to put away his trunk and the cage of his owl, Amelin put her daughter down. Draco came out of the train and let the bones in his neck crack. "Can you stop that, it's terrible", Amelin said pulling a face. Draco rolled his eyes and looked around. "Have you seen Potter and his family somewhere?" he wanted to know. Amelin shook her head. She new that Harry's second son Albus, who was some months younger than Scorpius would also go to Hogwarts for the first time. The two boys were best friends since they were little and caused chaos wherever they went. "Mom, Dad have you seen Al?" Scorpius asked when he jumped out of the train. "No sorry sweety", Amelin said pushing Scorpius blond hair aside. It was incredibly how similar the boy was to his father. Even Narcissa kept saying that Scorpius was a copy of Draco. Approximately a month after his birth Amelin had send a letter to her parents in law with a picture of Scorpius and had written them that she would like it if they would be a part of his life. To her surprise Narcisse had shown up at the manor few hours later. The two women had been able to overcome their differences with the help of Scorpius and Draco was glad to have his mother back in his life. Lucius, on the other hand, had not even taken the opportunity to reconcile with his son at this point and had not seen the boy once until today. Scorpius started to pout and looked for his best friend. "Scopy" Amelin heard a soft voice say. She and Scorpius looked at the little girl who stood beside Amelin. She stepped forward and looked up at Scorpius. "What's wrong Lyra?" Scorpius wanted to know bending down to his little sister. "You can't leave", Lyra said tears dwelling in her eyes. "I have to, so I become such a good wizard as Dad", Scorpius replied. Lyra shook her head so that her blonde braids flew to the side. "No!" she said determined and stamped her little foot. Amelin could see how Scorpius scrounged his face. Lyra adored her big brother and wouldn't give up so soon. "I have to Ly", Scorpius tried again. Lyra just shook her head. "Then I'm coming with you", she insisted. "You can't do that, you're still too small," Scorpius said gently. Now the tears flowed without restraint and Scorpius quickly pulled his little sister into his arms. Amelin was always deeply touched when she saw how lovingly her son treated his sister. She had been afraid that he would be jealous because he was so much older than her, but he had really blossomed in his role as big brother. Gently Scorpius stroked Lyras back and tried to comfort her. "Listen Ly I will send you a letter every week alright? Mom and Dad can read it to you and before you realize it's Christmas and I'll be back. Beside I will miss you terribly." Scorpius pushed Lyra a little away from him. With her small hands she wiped her eyes. "Promise?" she asked. Scorpius nodded and picked her up. He whispered something into Lyras ear and she started to giggle. Amelin could only hope that Scorpius didn't plant any fantasies in the three-year-old's head. A whistle sounded and Draco turned to Scorpius. "Come here princess", he said and took the girl from Scorpius. "You should get into the train Scorp." "What about Al?" Scorpius asked and looked around panicked. "He..." Amelin began, but she didn't get any further because she was interrupted by a voice calling Scorpius' name and a short time later the blond boy was almost run over by a black-haired one. "There you are I've been looking everywhere for you. Hey Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy", Albus greeted them. "Hallo Albus, where are your parents?" Amelin wanted to know. "Back there somewhere, they're talking to Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione," the boy babbled on. A second whistle rang out and Draco looked sternly at the two boys. "Get on the train before it leaves without you and I don't want to hear any complaints from your teachers, so behave yourselves." Albus grinned and Scorpius nodded before he hugged his parents and waved at his sister before he got into the train. The whistle blew again and the train started to move. Draco wrapped his free arm around Amelin, while she waved at their son. Sighing she leaned against Draco when the train was out of sight. "He'll be fine, he's a good boy," Draco assured Amelin, running his hand over her arm. "I know", Amelin replied stroking Lyras blond hair. Draco started to grin. "Lyra what do you think about getting ice cream?" he asked his daughter. Lyra grinned and nodded excited. Amelin started laughing, she knew that Draco was trying to distract her. "Well sweety let's go", Amelin said taking Lyra into her arms. His arm still wrapped around his wife Draco guided his two girls out of the station. Even if he would have declared anyone who told him that he would fall in love with a Muggle woman and marry her mad, he couldn't be happier that it was true. He had a wonderful, loving wife and two beautiful children and he thanked Merlin everyday that he had found his true love. He pulled Amelin closer kissing her head. Questioningly she looked up at him but he only shook his head and smiled at her to show her that he was just happy. Amelin returned the smile and Draco knew all was well.
