Another sleepy day at Watch Point Gibraltar. Just more documents to fill out, and peanut butter to be had. It wasn't all bad though, the place seemed busier than it normally was, and it was good catching up with old friends. But dinner under the sunset was rudely interrupted by a strange transmission; one that they couldn't know would change their lives forever.

26. Final Update

Hey hey people,

I think it's about time I address the fact that this fanfic will not be receiving updates anymore. I'm sorry for the SUPER late notice, and I'm not certain if anyone still even cares about this anymore. I had, in the past, tried to work on some additional chapters, but on top of my procrastination, it didn't help that more lore just keeps getting released that directly contradicts what I have written here. Sometimes, though, I still think about this story, which is why I've never updated it thinking that it will just be a hiatus, and pushing it out of my mind, thinking that I'll eventually come back to it.

I'm very proud of the work I've done here, and to this day, it is the single biggest piece of writing I've ever done at 62,795 words. That's a big reason why I've been so hesitant to call it quits once and for all, but enough is enough.

Thank you to all who followed along with Genji's journey so far. I never knew I would continue this for as long as I have, but the elation I felt at the increasing number of followers and all the kind reviews really kept me going. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I hope all of you have found better places in the time I've been gone, and in all the times after!
