A/N: Almost decided to take this one down and keep to only AO3, but changed my mind. To any concerned: I thought I had conveyed it as such, but to clarify, Chat/Adrien was very much into it the last chapter, and only held back at first due to identity issues.

Marinette considered using a mirage as she entered the hospital emergency room, but changed her mind when she knew Adrien might be following soon.

She walked up to the front desk. "Hi, I was hoping I could wait here until the akuma attack is taken care of? I was in the area and got hit by one of the attacks, and now my pregnancy has been moving along much faster than normal. If the heroes don't reverse it in time, I may need some help."

The employee at the desk nodded, writing something down. The woman looked tired but unsurprised, waving her to go sit. Apparently, they were quite used to the strange issues patients arrived with during akuma attacks.

She hesitated, the hunger gnawing at her. "Is there any way I might borrow a small snack? I haven't been able to eat anything since…all this happened. I didn't have my wallet on me."

The woman gave her a sympathetic look, then reached beneath the desk and pulled out a bag of cheese puffs and a bottle of water.

Marinette took them gratefully and went to sit down and wait.

Fifteen minutes or so passed before Adrien returned, striding through the front doors and looking around. He caught her gaze, his eyes dropping down to her stomach as he made a beeline her way. His steps slowed as he got nearer, looking astounded as he took in the changes to her even in the short time period he'd been away. He finally reached her side, tearing his eyes away to look at her, the worry returning. "How are you doing? Do you need anything?" He noticed the nearly-empty water bottle in her hand and reached for it. "Here, I'll get you more water."

He left quickly and Marinette smiled after him. She felt a little guilty, but at the same time, she also didn't really feel like getting up at the moment. She stared down at her baby bump, her hand perched on it lightly.

She found that without the pressure of being responsible for ending the fight, and with the knowledge that Adrien was here at her side, it allowed her some space to almost relax as she contemplated her situation. Her baby was in a race to the finish line, and though the slow but steady growth was off-putting at times, she found herself strangely excited about going through the process at a normal pace, once the cure reversed the current speed up. There was something comforting about feeling their baby kick, proof that what she'd discovered that afternoon was really happening.

Adrien returned to her side, handing her the water bottle. She took it and immediately put it down, feeling her emotions build up. She grabbed his hand. "Adrien, we really are having a baby."

His laugh was a little choked, but something shined in his eyes as he squeezed her hand. "We really are. Did not expect this all to happen."

Marinette laughed with only a touch of hysteria. "Yeah, me neither. But it's crazy; this was all just a concept earlier. Now…" She brought their hands to her stomach, once again feeling the kicks together.

Adrien was transfixed, wonder on his face as he sat quietly taking it in.

She let out a happy noise. "After this attack is over and things go back, we have a lot to talk about. I know this wasn't exactly planned."

He met her eyes, excitement blooming. "I'm honestly thrilled, Marinette. Behind the terror of this situation, of course." He moved his hand, taking out his phone from his pocket. After turning it on, it started going off, buzzes and vibrations sounding nonstop. He winced slightly, shooting her an apologetic look. "Yeah…sorry I didn't answer your calls by the way. I was a little preoccupied."

She sighed. "You get a pass I suppose. But only this time." The corner of her mouth twitched up.

After dismissing the notifications, he brought up news feeds of the fight and Marinette looked over his shoulder to watch as Kitty Noir joined up with Scarabella, as well as, surprisingly, Viperion. Marinette glanced up at Adrien. "How did you know Viperion's identity?"

"I actually didn't," he said, laughing. "I was kind of shocked when Luka took the miraculous from me and transformed without waiting for instructions."

Marinette giggled. "Wow, we both picked Luka. Perhaps he should hang onto it after this fight. We'll need more permanent team members soon anyway. I won't be able to fight while I'm pregnant."

He looked thoughtful at that.

Before they could continue the conversation, she was hit by the sudden need to go to the bathroom. She groaned slightly before rising to her feet. "Restroom break. I'll be back."

She left him there, heading for the bathroom.

Adrien watched her go, only looking back at his phone once she disappeared through the door. He quickly searched for information on newborns and giving birth, thinking worst case, but he didn't get very far in his research before he found himself getting distracted, his mind going back to Marinette.

He hadn't been prepared for the mix of emotions that hit him in the moment of seeing her in the alley, when he realized who she was and exactly what was happening. The combination of the realization with what followed was making some connections in his mind that he was having trouble letting go of.

Seeing her again in the waiting room, impossibly further along than when he'd left her…

He was finding it more and more difficult to stay focused on helping her, instead of doing what he wanted with her.

He shifted in his seat, trying to go back to thinking about something else, something other than how absolutely breathtaking he was discovering Marinette to be, filled with his child.

Groaning slightly, he dropped his head to stare at his phone, switching back to the fight. It looked like they were still learning how to work together as a team and were being cautious.

Adrien managed to calm himself down watching the scene, though he felt a little apprehensive at how long it might take them to finish the fight.

Ten minutes later, he heard the bathroom door open again, the light sound of Marinette's laugh reaching him as he looked up. An older woman left in front of her, revealing Marinette emerging behind, a warm smile on her face as she walked, a hand on top of her stomach.

Beautiful.

Once again, he felt captivated by her, unable to look away. It had happened again, he noticed; her bump sticking out just a little farther than before.

Something possessive and primal clawed its way up through him. Mine, he thought, I did that.

He rose quickly to his feet, his breathing going rough as his eyes burned into her.

When she met his gaze she froze, still across the room. He saw her eyes widen and a sharp breath lift her shoulders as she noticed him with all of his focus on her. As she took him in, heat began filling those blue eyes, her mouth parting as her breathing quickened.

He wanted nothing more than to transform and whisk her away, to find someplace where he could show her just what she was doing to him, especially after her behavior in the alley.

But he didn't have a miraculous at the moment. What could he possibly do in a waiting room full of people?

Then he saw her hand reach down to her pocket, sliding out the small piccolo that was her weapon while wearing Trixx.

Adrien prowled across the room, a cat hunting a mouse.

A very willing mouse.

He stopped, not leaving much space between them.

Her lips twitched into a sly smile as the hint of surprise faded away. "Can I…help you with something, kitty?" The low whisper vibrated through him.

"You are…really quite distracting, you know that, princess? After your stunt in the alley," he leaned forward to whisper in her ear, "-I can't seem to stop thinking about where else I want to take you." He leaned back, satisfied by the red creeping into her face. Still close, he continued, "What do you think, my lady, can you get us somewhere we shouldn't be, so I can have you?"

Her eyes darted around before she grabbed his hand, marching them to the vending machines near the main hall that was kept locked. Checking to see if anyone was watching, Marinette brought the piccolo to her lips, playing one soft note, and then they were hidden. When the next nurse came through the locked doors, the two of them slipped by unnoticed. They passed a few busy rooms before ending up outside a room that had no light coming through.

Adrien opened the door to find a dark supply closet. He yanked Marinette in and shut the door, flipping on the light before he crashed his lips into hers, backing her up into the wall. All he knew was that this gorgeous woman in front of him was his, and he wanted to show her just how much he needed her.

A few rolls of paper towels fell from the shelf next to them as they bumped into it, and Marinette let out a muffled laugh before breaking away with a gasp and a breathy laugh. Her head twisted towards the door and he went right to her neck, unafraid to leave marks at the moment while she was technically still transformed. Her laughs turned to gasps of pleasure before she managed words. "The…the lights might show through. Someone may find us." Adrien did not release her, using his mouth to thoroughly attend to the sensitive area between her shoulder and throat until she was moaning into his ear, and he had to hold her to keep her knees from buckling.

Catching her breath, she tried again, "Adrien–"

He moved away from her neck to kiss her, quieting her words. The moment he broke away to breathe, he growled in her ear, "I don't care. Let them try. I need to see you." His eyes roamed over her, taking in her labored breathing and flushed face.

"My pregnancy hormones affecting you as well, hmm?" Her teasing tone was paired with her hand moving down his chest to pull on his waistband, dragging him even closer.

"Something like that," he said, his voice a low rasp. He'd already been hard well before, but his cock strained further against the tightness of his jeans.

He needed more. "Detransform," he told her.

She did so, and he was suddenly reminded that she wore no pants underneath her suit now.

How convenient.

This time, however, he wanted to see every inch of her. He took the hem of her shirt and lifted, taking it off in one move. Her breasts threatened to spill out of her now-too-small bra. He bit back a groan, reaching behind her to undo the garment, freeing them from their confines. Her eyes watched him, burning with heat as her breathing caused her chest to rise and fall. He paused his movements, drinking her in. "Marinette, god damn, you look incredible."

Her eyes flashed. "Then touch me already."

He did.

His mouth moved over her sensitive nipples before making its way down her stomach, paying particular attention to the stretch marks along the way. His hand slipped past the edge of her panties, gliding through the wetness there. He grinned as she moaned and her hand flew to her mouth to muffle the sound. Her knees threatened to give out, so he quickly slid her panties down and looked around the small room, trying to decide the best place.

Marinette made the decision for him, suddenly pushing him back and to the ground. He scrambled back a pace or two as she got down, hands at his jeans. He worked with her until he was finally free, but before he could blink her mouth was on his cock, taking him deep into her throat.

Adrien groaned out a low curse, fighting not to thrust his hips to drive himself even deeper. She lavished him with her attention, taking her time to work him up into a frenzy with every movement of her mouth and tongue.

"Marinette–" her name came out strained and she let him go, only to move on top of him to position herself just right. And then she came down, riding him into further bliss.

With the feel of her warm heat surrounding him, the sight of her bouncing on top of him, and the sound of her breathy pants, it did not take him very long before he felt the tell-tale signs, and he thrust his hips up in rhythm with hers until the pleasure released in one earth-shattering moment.

After his head cleared a moment later, Marinette slowed, but he quickly brought his hand up, touching the bundle of nerves at the apex of her thighs, right above where she was still joined with him. Her eyes closed with a loud moan and she kept moving. "Mmm," he let out with a velvet purr, "Better stay quiet, love. Don't want to get caught." He continued moving his finger in a circle, just the way he knew she loved. She moaned again, this time lifting a hand up to cover her mouth. His voice came out low, "Now, don't do that, my lady. I want to see your pretty face when you come."

The sight of her finally coming apart above him was a sight to behold.

He etched it into his mind, watching her as her breathing began to slow and she pushed her hair back and away from her face.

A slow grin began to appear as she looked at him. "This one was your idea."

He let out a laugh. "Guilty.."

Her own laugh turned into a wince, and Adrien leaned up onto his arms, suddenly panicked that he had somehow hurt her or the baby. "You okay?" He scrambled to reach one of the paper towel rolls that had fallen and then she lifted up and off of him, her hand on her stomach.

"I'm fine," she said, the look clearing. "It was just a moment." He got quickly to his feet, reaching down to lift her back to her feet. "I suppose we need to sneak back out there."

He helped her with her clothing, but when he turned back to his own, her face twisted again, her breath coming out in a harsh release.

"Mari?"

She took a couple quick, haggard breaths before responding. "I'm just… getting a bit uncomfortable, that's all."

Worry shot back through Adrien, and he redressed quickly.

When it happened a third time, Marinette transformed.

For about a minute before Trixx released her.

"I can't do that, Marinette." The Kwami's voice rang out as he flitted back to her. "Not while you're in labor."

Panic filled him. The fight had apparently not ended yet, and she was going into labor.

He focused the panic into action. Seeing that she was unable to transform, his eyes darted around the room, spotting a bag of hospital gowns on the shelf.

Meanwhile, Marinette argued with Trixx. "What? I'm not in labor. I need you to transform me so I can get back– Ah!"

Adrien had just ripped out a gown when he heard her groan. He spun back to her, holding out the garment. "Marinette, put this on. And listen to your Kwami," he added with a look. "Let's get you to the front." He gently placed his hand on her necklace. "Let me take Trixx, and I'll get you there."

Acceptance settled on her face and she nodded. Adrien took the necklace off, placing it around his own neck. After transforming, he picked her up easily with his extra strength, leaving the room with a mirage hiding their path.

Once they reached the waiting room, he found a spot to place her down and detransform before walking back to the desk to frantically explain. Marinette gritted her teeth as the contractions hit, bending over at the discomfort. While waiting for someone to take her back, Adrien pulled out his phone, bringing up the fight once again.

He caught it at just the right time, watching the three teammates finally trap the man's arm. Relief coursed through him as he watched the akuma and the feather get purified. "They got him, Marinette."

"Thank God," she panted, leaning against the front desk.

He held his breath as he watched Scarabella toss an object up in the air, calling out for the cure.

They both felt the air shift as the miraculous ladybugs reached them, swirling with particular attention around Marinette's body. When they disappeared, Marinette stood straight, her hand hovering over air, baby bump gone.

They both looked in shock at the empty space. Of course, they had been expecting it, but after everything they'd gone through in the past few hours, it didn't quite feel real.

For a brief moment, something like grief crossed Marinette's face. She looked over at him, her hand resting on her flat stomach. "Am I still…do you think they're okay?"

Pushing through his own conflicting emotions, Adrien turned to the desk worker, who didn't look at all surprised by the turn in events. "Can we still get her checked out? She just found out she was pregnant, before the attack."

The woman nodded, handing over a clipboard and motioning for them to sit down.

Two hours later, they left the hospital together, a small sonogram photo in their hands and smiles replacing the momentary grief that had befallen them.

They strolled down the sidewalk, unhurried.

"You know," Marinette began, "There's a part of me that's almost disappointed it reversed."

Adrien made a noncommittal noise. "I can understand that. That seemed like…a lot of discomfort you'll have to go through." They continued walking, hand in hand.

"At the same time, though," she continued, "now we actually have time to buy things. Like, an entire nursery." She let out a quick laugh at the thought. "That would have been pretty crazy, right? We would have had nothing."

He chuckled before twisting her around to face him, holding her close. "We would have had each other. That's all we need."

Her nose crinkled and she bopped him on his. "You're so cheesy, I love it." Humor crossed her face. "But that's what you say now, until we've got a crying baby and no diapers."

He snorted. "Okay, you've got me there." He leaned down, kissing her sweetly. When he released her lips, he voiced his other thoughts. "Also, this way, I get so much more time to see what other trouble you get me in, with all those extra hormones."

A mischievous grin crossed her lips. "If it's trouble you want, Chaton, there's no need to wait for pregnancy hormones."

She jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist as he held her, both fighting to hold back the smiles as their lips met in a fiery kiss.

A/N: I couldn't help but switch up the ending as well. I hope you'll consider leaving a review if you liked it! Still might take this down, but I wanted to at least post the 2nd half for anyone that might still want to read it.
