Professor Ozpin sat at his desk, anxiously reviewing all of his files and security systems that had to do with the Beacon Vault and the artifact that rested inside. When he saw that everything was in the green, he exhaled and relaxed into his chair.

'I have to make sure they can never retrieve it…' Ozpin thought and took a sip from his coffee mug. After a moment of indecision, he opened a drawer in his desk, pulled out a silver flask, then poured a sizeable amount whiskey into the coffee.

He sighed and closed navigated through the windows on his computer until he pulled up the same video of Sera Calypso, her eyes burning red and a wicked smile on her face.

"But how does she play into all this…?" the headmaster murmured.

. . .

Sera was feeling kind of down. After she brought Yang back to the room, they were met by with cheers at the sight of the blond girl. After retelling the inspiring story of how Sera broke into the tower and freed Yang, Ruby and Weiss seemed to believe that she was innocent. Blake, however, was not so inclined. Yang, of course, was upset by this. But that was yesterday.

Now, Sera was walking through the halls of Beacon and stopping by some of her classrooms. She wasn't sure why, but she had this… morbid feeling about today. She wasn't sure if it was because of Yang getting disqualified, or the Fall Maiden.

Today was the final day of the tournament, and she'd decided to let Pyrrha fight the last round. She thought the Spartan girl wouldn't be in the mood for it, but just like with the Maiden situation, she felt responsible. It might just be Pyrrha's last fight as herself, so Sera understood why she'd want to compete.

"Miss Calypso," someone said behind her, and she turned around to find Professor Goodwitch looking at her.

"Professor," she straightened her posture.

"Please," the woman approached her. "I think you can just call me Glynda now, given our situation."

She shrugged. "Probably won't thought. Let's see—hello, Glynda." Then she shuddered, a chill running up her spine. "Yeah, nope."

Goodwitch chuckled. "Very well. I know you're feeling stressed about, you know, but all of us are here for you, and Pyrrha. Just know that you're not alone."

Sera smiled gently. "I know, Professor. It's just… a lot."

"I know," she nodded. "And Ozpin does, too. Better than anyone. Just have fun at the festival and be prepared for that test you have next week."

"Ugh," she tilted her head back. "I almost forgot about that. Still stealing every bit of my happiness, huh?" she said sarcastically.

Goodwitch smiled. "Nice to see you're not too down." Then she started to walk away. "Goodbye, Miss Calypso."

"Bye, Professor," she held a hand up in farewell. Once Goodwitch was gone, she kept walking down the hall.

"'Calypso.' Ugh. Stupid name. Why did I ever pick that?" She thought aloud. "Could've went with like… Santana, or Stratton, or something."

Sera wandered through the halls until she eventually found herself near the cafeteria. Memories of the food fight she'd participated in washed over her, and she couldn't stop the smile from spreading across her face.

A tall boy with short brown hair stepped out of the cafeteria in the usual Beacon uniform. Cardin Winchester. Her lip curled at the sight of him, but when he saw Sera, he froze in place with wide eyes, like a deer caught in headlights.

"Cardin," she stated as a sort of indifferent greeting.

The boy seemed to compose himself and put on a mask of calm. "Sera."

She considered just walking away. She'd never liked Cardin much, or his team. Not since he saw how they'd treated Velvet. But curiosity got the best of her. Ever since she'd confronted him and his team that day, they seemed to calm down a bit. That only got reinforced when Jaune had his own problem with them. Their bullying had stopped, so she was curious to see if his personal behavior had improved as well.

"How's it going?" She asked, casually crossing her arms.

Cardin blinked at her, wary of what her game was. "Uh… Good? I was just grabbing some lunch before getting back to my team. How's uh, how's it going for you?"

She almost laughed. Sera felt like her entire world was coming down on her with the danger of Salem and the situation with the Fall Maiden. "I'm doing good, too."

"I'll bet," he exhaled a laugh. "I saw your matches in the tournament. Pretty nice." He nodded at her approvingly.

"Thanks," she said, relaxing. He seemed genuine enough. Perhaps he has changed his ways.

"Look," Cardin said, tapping the toe of his shoe on the floor. "I want to apologize for how my team and I acted earlier this year. It was uncalled for, and you and Jaune stepping up to us like that made me see that. I've changed my attitude, and even started making more friends because of it. Including some of the Faunus, once they were willing to hear me out."

Sera's eyebrows raised. "Really? Well, I haven't heard anyone complaining about you or your team, so maybe you're not lying."

Cardin laughed, which surprised her almost as much as his confession. "I'm not lying. I even met a girl since then. Her name's Karla—a fox Faunus."

Her jaw dropped. "Really? Well, that's unexpected. But you know what, Cardin? I'm proud of you. Because you were a real asshole, but if you're telling the truth, I wish you and her the best."

"Thanks," he nodded. "I'm working on the asshole bit." Cardin rocked on his heels. "Well, if you ever wanna spar or something, I'm up for it. But after those tournament fights, I doubt I'll stand a chance," he chuckled.

"Maybe," Sera smirked. "Then again, you did come close a few times before." She stuck her hand out and smiled. Cardin blinked at the gesture before a smile formed on his face and he shook her hand.

"Thanks, Sera"

"No problem, dude. I'm just glad you're not a dick anymore," she laughed.

"Yeah, me too," he nodded, then walked away from her with his shoulders set.

She chuckled quietly and shoved her hands into her pockets. "I guess some people don't stay assholes forever."

Then her scroll dinged and she brought it out to see a message from Cerulean. Her heart skipped a beat at the name. The last time she'd seen the blue-haired girl was the night they'd gone on that "date" at the fair. She opened the message.

"Hey! Do you want to watch the last fights together?"

Sera chewed her lip while she thought of a response. "Sure! I'm still at the school but I'll be over there soon."

"Cool! I'll save you a seat."

"Thank you," she typed the last message, then sighed and put her scroll away. When she saw the time, her eyes widened. "Shit, I'm gonna be late…!"

Sera took off across campus, hoping she didn't miss the last airship to the arena. She made it just in time, and the ship was entirely empty when she climbed aboard. Less than five minutes later, she was at the floating arena and heading towards the center.

"Greetings!" a familiar voice said, and she looked over to see none other than Penny Polendina smiling at her.

"Penny?" she blinked. "Jeez, I haven't seen you in… How long?"

"Since the dance!" she said cheerily.

Sera brought a hand to the back of her head and chuckled lightly. "Yeah, sorry. How have you been?"

"Oh, just fantastic! I'm getting ready to fight in the tournament!"

"Really?" she raised an eyebrow. "Oh, right. You're like a mega badass with those swords and that big frickin' laser."

"I'm combat ready!" Penny affirmed happily. "Will you be competing? I saw your last fight!"

"Uh, no," she laughed. "There was some debate, but I decided to step down so my friend can fight instead."

"Having friends is just the best, isn't it?" the strange girl beamed. "How is Ruby doing?"

"Oh, she's great! Yeah, she's a bit bummed out about Yang getting disqualified, but she's good."

"Sen-sational!" Penny laughed.

Then a woman with dark skin, short hair, and blue eyes appeared out of the corner of Sera's vision, walking straight towards Penny.

"Oh, hello Ciel! Have you met my good friend, Sera?" She asked cheerily.

Sera felt a bit sour about that "good friend" part. She'd hardly gotten to know Penny that well, but then again, it was flattering that she thought so highly of her.

"I don't believe so," the woman, Ciel, responded cooly. "Penny, it's almost time."

"Truly?" the orange-haired girl blinked. "Fantastic! Let's go so I can get ready!" She turned to Sera and gave a broad smile. "Bye, Sera! I hope you enjoy the tournament!"

Sera exhaled a laugh and waved at her. "Bye, Penny. Have fun in your match!"

"Oh, I will!" Penny nodded enthusiastically. Then she and Ciel turned away and hurried towards the locker rooms. Ciel glanced over her shoulder at Sera, as if she wasn't sure what to make of her. Sera waved again anyway, putting on a smile. Then they were gone, and she dropped her hand.

"Running into all kinds of interesting characters today," she murmured, then headed for the inner stadium.

. . .

Cerulean was easy to find. She was sitting next to the entirety of her other friends, apart from Yang, Weiss, and Blake. According to Ruby, they decided to stay behind and sit the tournament out for a while. Sera frowned at that, but there was nothing she could do. Cerulean and her team sat a little away from JNPR, SSSN, and Ruby, but Sera didn't really mind. She just took the seat next to Jaune and waved for Cerulean to come over. Once she did, the blue-haired girl grinned wide.

"Hey! What's up?"

"Nothing much," Sera shrugged. "Festival. Tournament. You know how it goes."

Then Professor Port's voice boomed through the many speakers throughout the stadium. "And we're ready for yet another round of the Vytal Tournament! We're about to announce the competitors, so get ready!"

"I wonder who it's going to be," Jaune sat forward in his seat. The spinning squares appeared in the air with many faces that flashed and changed. All eyes were glued to them.

The first square came to a halt. The first was Penny. Then the second one stopped, showing a picture of a smiling Pyrrha Nikos.

Sera's eyes widened slightly. So soon? She was kind of expecting Pyrrha to be the last one to go. Nevertheless, it was her turn.

Pyrrha rose from her seat and gazed down at the stage, her fists clenched and a frown on her face.

"It's not too late, I can still step in," Sera told her.

"No. No, I can do it," she murmured.

"Are you okay?" Jaune asked. He knew she'd been acting strangely. That was emphasized when she threw him into that wall with her semblance. But for the first time since he'd known her, she actually looked nervous to fight.

"I'm fine," she turned and walked down the aisle with her friends watching her.

Sera frowned. "I should've volunteered to fight. She's not in the right state of mind to compete."

"What's wrong with her?" Nora asked. "She looked… depressed."

The amnesiac said nothing. She wasn't sure what to say. Instead, she just kept her eyes on the arena while Pyrrha and Penny got into position. The floating screens showed Penny smiling broadly while Pyrrha looked rather down.

Then the timer appeared in the air, signifying that it was almost time to begin. Pyrrha and Penny took on their respective battle stances, then the timer started counting down.

Sera looked around, noticing that someone was missing from their group. "Hey, where'd Ruby go?"

. . .

We all know how this song and dance goes. Ruby goes off and faces Mercury, Pyrrha and Penny fight, Emerald uses her fucky semblance, Pyrrha accidentally disembodies Penny, Cinder makes some ominous fuckin' speech that emphasizes how much of a world class cunt she is, then the Grimm attack.

. . .

Sera shot to her feet when the Nevermore landed on top of Amity Arena. Everyone in the colosseum's eyes were glued to the sight of Penny's robotic body being torn apart. They watched in horror, but when it was clear that Penny was not a traditional person, confusion spread through the masses.

Her eyes were glued to Penny's body strewn across the ground. Even from the stands, she could see her neutral face, and the green light fading from her eyes. She clenched her fists in rage. Not at Pyrrha, of course, but at the fact that this had even happened. Aside from anger, she was confused. Penny was a robot. Okay, better add that to the list of weird things happening lately.

The amnesiac's hands squeezed the railing in front of her so tightly, she could've sword she felt the metal bend inwards.

Then, the voice came through the speakers. Sera wasn't sure where she'd heard it before, but it was a woman she'd met before. Her speech was ominous and she was implying that Ozpin and Ironwood were some sort of conniving villains pitting countries against each other and raising blood thirsty students. She knew that wasn't true, but most people didn't know them like she did, or the situation they were in.

'Not good…' She thought.

The voice of General Ironwood came through the speakers of the arena. "Everyone, please remain calm! Everything is under control."

Alarms blared throughout Amity and red lights flashed. "Alert: Grimm detected in the city of Vale. Threat level: 9."

"What the heck?!" Jaune stood, looking around with an alarmed expression. "What's going on?"

"Oh, son of a bitch!" Sera cursed. 'It's happening now. Everything Ozpin and Ironwood were afraid of is coming down on us. What the fuck do I do?!'

She cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed. "Pyrrha!"

The redhead seemed to glance in her direction, but her attention was brought back to the enormous Grimm trying to break into Amity.

Civilians panicked and ran, trampling over each other to get away from the menacing Nevermore. Team JNPR tried to calm some of them down, but it was pretty much useless. They were in a frenzy. Fortunately, the stadium was almost empty now.

"What's going on?!" Nora yelled. "Doesn't the city have defenses in case Grimm get into the city?"

Ren got to his feet and shot a glare at the creature. "The Nevermore wasn't alone."

Cerulean looked around, her eyes wide with fright as people screamed and ran towards the exits. Her team was in a similar situation, watching while people scrambled away from the arena. Her team went to her side and Antonio looked like he was trying to shield them. She didn't know any of Cerulean's teammates very well, but it looked like they were close, at least.

The Nevermore kept pecking at the energy shields, and Pyrrha was still sitting on her knees in the center of the arena.

Sera's blood boiled. Salem was starting an attack on her city, her people, and she was watching from the sidelines while her friend was in imminent danger. If that Grimm broke through, Pyrrha might not recover enough to defend herself.

She didn't even think about it. She just ran towards the stage, jumping down each row of seats until she leaped over the guard rail and landed onto the arena floor. As soon as she hit the ground, the Nevermore shattered the energy barrier that separated it from Amity's interior.

"Sera!" Cerulean cried, watching the white-haired girl sprint towards Pyrrha. She grabbed onto the seat in front of her, unsure of what to do. Then a flurry of rose petals flew past her and towards the arena.

Sera closed the distance between her and Pyrrha, but when the Nevermore landed with a heavy thud, the shockwave sent them flying back until they were sprawled across the ground. Sera gritted her teeth and shot to her feet before running at the Grimm once more.

"Wait!" Pyrrha cried out and reached her hand towards her.

"No!" she yelled and looked over her shoulder at the redhead. Pyrrha faltered at what she saw—crimson red eyes burning with hatred.

Ruby Rose suddenly flew past her and slammed into the Nevermore in a horde of red petals. She let out a battle cry and used a small sword to slash across its face, making the Grimm roar. Ruby flew back and landed in front of it, one of Penny's black and green blades in her hand.

Sera reached Ruby just as she landed and ran straight past her. Her blood was boiling and strength coursed through her body the closer she got to the enormous monster.

'Attacking my school? I'm going to rip this thing's wings off.' She clenched her jaw, her boots pounding the floor.

The Nevermore screeched at her and made her ears ring, but she just shrugged it off and kept going.

"Sera, what are you doing?!" Ruby screamed.

She jumped into the air just as the Grimm went to attack her. Sera avoided its talons and landed on its wing, then punched it straight across the beak. The bone crunched under her fist and a visible crack appeared where she hit. Then she yelled, sounding more like a roar of rage, then punched it again and shattered the side of its beak.

The Nevermore screeched in agony and recoiled from the blow, but Sera wasn't done. She managed to grab its lower beak with one hand and slam her fist under its jaw, propelling herself into the air to deliver an earth-shattering uppercut.

The Grimm screamed and landed on its back from the force of the blow, and Sera landed on her feet in front of it. Her shoulders tensed while she glared at the monster, her fists clenched tightly. She started to walk towards it to finish it off, but out of nowhere something grabbed her.

"Sera, calm down! Please!" Ruby pleaded, her hand on the huntress's shoulder. When she looked at her, her eyes went wide. "Uh… That's new."

Her eyes burned red while they regarded Ruby coldly. Then she shook her head, holding her hand up to her face and gave a hollow groan. Slowly, the anger subsided, and she composed herself. "Ugh," she blinked until her eyes faded to their usual shade of violet.

"Are… you okay?" Ruby raised an eyebrow.

"I think?" she said. "What happened?" Sera looked over at the Nevermore, who was starting to get back to its feet. Its beak was missing a sizeable chunk in it.

Then something long and rectangular slammed into its chest and made it croak lowly. Sera and Ruby blinked at it. A weapons locker, from the Beacon locker room. Several more rained down into the arena, landing either on the Nevermore or the ground beside it.

She and Ruby turned around, finding all of their friends and even students from other schools standing in the arena. Jaune helped a tearful Pyrrha to her feet, and they joined the others. The students collected their weapons and held them tightly, expressions of determination etched onto their faces.

Sera blinked at them, a smile forming on her lips. The Grimm wanted to attack? Fine. She'd be on the front lines to stop them. No one was going to get hurt if she could help it.

Then the Nevermore started to move again, and everyone leapt into action. Before she could even move, it was dead. The others had killed it so quickly, with a combination of Nora's hammer, Sun's staff, and Yatsuhashi's sword before finally cleaving its head off. The Grimm melted into darkness.

"Well, dang," Sera said. "Jumpy?" She looked at the others.

"The city is under attack," Sun spun his staff in his hand. "How about we go give them a piece of our mind."

Cerulean expanded her trident into its full length and planted its staff on the ground, standing next to Neptune while he did the same. 'Twinsies,' Sera thought with amusement.

"Does anyone have a plan?" Ren asked, brandishing his dual pistols.

Sera tightened her fists before pulling out her scroll and typing on its screen. In just a few moments, her locker slammed into the ground beside her. She pulled out her body holster and slipped it over her shoulders, straightening her weapons before grabbing Jupiter and holding it at her side. Everyone seemed to watch her while she did so, a dozen pairs of eyes glued to her back.

She turned to face them and scanned the faces of her fellow students. Taking a deep breath, she began to speak. "If I'm being honest, this might be the toughest fight of our lives. There's probably a ton of Grimm flooding into the city, and I doubt this big bird was the only one that can fly. So, let's do what we do best. For those of you who know me, you know that I usually don't run in with a plan in mind. I just wing it and hope things work out. But that's not going to cut it this time. I want everyone to be careful out there and watch each other's back."

They glanced at each other and murmured in agreement. Ruby kept her eyes glued to her teammate, glad that Sera was voicing her own thoughts.

"Some of you should go to the city and help civilians. The rest will go to the school and defend campus. If my hunch is right, that's where most of the Grimm are heading. I haven't been here for very long, some of you know why. But I'm going to defend this place as best as I can, because that's what huntsmen do. Now can I get a hell yeah?"

"HELL YEAH!" Everyone shouted and raised their respective weaponry.

Sera smiled and pumped her fist into the air, raising her index finger and pinky. "Let's go!"

A Grimm suddenly appeared behind her and roared, and she whirled around to face the new opponent. Then a gunshot rang out and the creature fell to the ground.

"Students," a deep voice said, and Sera turned to see Professors Port and Oobleck walking towards them with their weapons in hand. That's when Sera noticed a horde of Gryphons encircling Amity. "I think it would be best if you left the arena."

"We want to fight!" Ruby protested.

"And you may, another time," Oobleck said. "But we would rather see our students live to fight another day than fall in battle here. Please, go."

They regarded the Professors' words carefully.

"There's an airship docked just outside of the stadium," Port said, his mustache wiggling while he spoke.

Sera shifted in place. No way in hell she was going to run from this. She could tell the others felt the same.

"Sure thing, Professor," Sun laid his staff across his shoulders. "Come on, guys."

Then he, Ruby, and the others ran for the airship. Sera waited a moment, watching them go. She clenched her fists, mustering up the courage she'd need for this battle.

"Miss Calypso," Oobleck said. She looked over at them. "Good luck with that amnesia problem. I know you'll get to the bottom of it," he said kindly.

Sera nodded. "Thank you, Professor. See you two in class later?"

The Professors laughed. "Sure thing. Now, get going." Port smiled.

She gave them one last look, then ran after the others. When she made it to them, she saw General Ironwood speaking to them.

"There's no shame in fleeing. No one would think less of you for doing so. But if you want to fight, for your home or for another kingdom, I wish you good luck. The Grimm are taking the city. And some… vagabond has hijacked the Atlas fleet. I intend to take it back."

"And I'm right there with you," Sera announced while she approached the General.

"Miss Calypso," he said, his expression softening. "Good to see you again. Are you ready to take back your school?"

She grinned and slammed her fist into her open palm. "You're gods-damned right I am."

"Good," he nodded and put a hand on her shoulder, then spoke in a quieter tone. "Ozpin may need you and Pyrrha. You should go to him."

Her shoulders sank. "Right," she finally said. Then cleared her voice and turned to the others. "Come on, let's go kick some monster butt!" Then she ran onto the airship to hide her fearful eyes. The time had come for either Pyrrha, or her to step into that pod and take Amber's aura into their own.

Once the students were aboard the ship, one of them took the pilot's seat. The Bullhead lifted into the air and shot into the sky, heading straight for Beacon. When an explosion suddenly rocked the ship, everyone grabbed on to something to keep from falling over.

Sera looked into the nearest window, her eyes widening at what she saw. Ironwood's ship had suddenly exploded and was sailing down towards the city. Ruby appeared at her side, her silver eyes wide.

"Oh, no," she muttered, watching the ship fall out of the sky. Then Ruby stepped back, a determined expression on her face. She ran towards the rear of the ship and hit the button to open the landing ramp.

"Ruby, what are you doing?!" Jaune yelled.

Too late. Ruby jumped out and disappeared into a flurry of rose petals that flew straight for Amity. Someone closed the landing ramp, and all eyes turned towards Sera and team JNPR.

"What is she doing?" Sun demanded worriedly.

"I don't know!" Sera replied. "She's kind of unpredictable!"

"So are you," Cerulean said.

"That's beside the point!" She stomped her foot. Sera ran her fingers through her hair with worry. She pulled out her scroll and brought up her team's contact info before hitting the button to call Yang.

"Sera!" The blond yelled into the speaker. "What's going on? Where are you?"

"On an airship heading for the school! How is it down there?"

"Not freaking good, Snowball!" A gunshot accompanied Yang's voice. It sounded like Ember Celica. "Where's Ruby?"

"Uh, that's the thing. She kind of… took off."

"What?! Where?"

"I don't know! She just jumped out of the airship."

Yang groaned. "Damn it. Just get down here fast. I'll find Ruby."

"You got it," she promised.

Another gunshot came through the speakers. "Gotta go!" Then Yang hung up.

Sera sighed and put her scroll away. Cerulean appeared in front of her, her expression a mixture of worry and fear. "This is gonna be okay, right?"

"Of course," she said. "Once it's over, I'll buy you another slushy," Sera smirked.

Cerulean grinned. "You better, 'Snowball.'"

Sera frowned. "Don't do that." Then she smiled, and Cerulean smiled back.

"What do we do when we get there?" Velvet Scarlatina asked.

Sera turned to look at everyone. They watched her expectantly, like she was the leader or something. "Why're you all looking at me?"

"Well, you did kind of make that big speech," Sun chuckled.

"And we haven't been through anything like this before," one of Sun's teammates, Scarlet, said.

"Neither have I!" She protested. "I'm not a leader. You should know that, Sun."

He shrugged. "Eh, I've seen worse." He cast a glance at Cerulean. Not sure what he meant by that.

Pyrrha stood off to the side, one hand clutching her other elbow. Her face was unreadable, but Sera had a feeling she knew what was going on in her head.

Sera inhaled deeply. "I guess we just do like I said. Defend the city and school and take down anything that gets in your way. Repel the Grimm, save anyone that you see. Keep each other safe. Sound simple?"

Nodding heads and murmurs of agreement came as a reply.

"Good." The airship touched down on the ground and the landing ramp slid down until she saw that they were in the Beacon courtyard. "Today is a day which will be remembered forever, as the day that the huntsmen and huntresses of all four kingdoms came together to defend Vale. Who's ready?"

The students raised their weapons and cheered, then stormed out of the airship and into the courtyard.

Sera drew Igneous Amethyst and walked after them, taking in the state that the school was in. Dozens of piles of smoking Grimm were scattered around with gunshots and sounds of fighting just a few hundred feet away. What she wasn't expecting, however, was all the remains of Atlesian robots lying in pieces. One of them was still active, severed at the waist. It clawed its way to Sun, who yelped in surprise and brought the head of his staff onto it.

"Why are the soldiers attacking us?" Jaune asked. "They're supposed to fight Grimm!"

"Oh, fantastic," Sera sighed and tilted her head back. "Ironwood said someone hijacked the Atlas fleet. They probably hacked the robots, too."

"Well, that's just fuckin' peachy!" Coco exhaled.

"We stick to the plan," Sera held Igni tighter.

"Right," Cerulean nodded.

Then they ran towards the sounds of fighting with their weapons drawn. They found Weiss facing down a legion of the robot soldiers, using her rapier and glyphs to take them down in an instant. It was impressive, really. In just a few seconds, over a dozen robots were turned into scrap metal.

"Ice Queen!" Sera shouted. The heiress turned to see a large group of students running up to her. She exhaled and relaxed her posture, her chest rising and falling slowly with exhaustion.

"Finally," she sighed and took a knee. "What took you so long?"

Sera couldn't help but flash a smile. "We got held up. Dang, you killed all these by yourself? Where's Blake?"

"We split up to cover more ground. She went after an Alpha Beowolf, and I haven't seen her since."

"Great. Ruby's missing, Blake's missing, Yang is who-knows-where. The Grimm are invading, robots are betraying. Party time!" She rolled her eyes.

"Wait, where's Ruby?" Weiss raised her eyebrows.

Sera opened her mouth to answer, but a loud pounding noise suddenly interrupted, accompanied by the roars of Grimm. She looked over to see an Atlesian Paladin and a swarm of monsters running towards them.

"Great! Now they're working together!" Sera said with false joy. She raised Igni and looked at Weiss. "That'll have to wait." She put her hand out. Weiss nodded determinedly and took it, allowing Sera to help her to her feet.

"Get ready, everyone!" Jaune raised his shield, then Pyrrha put hers up next to his. The others readied themselves too to prepare for the oncoming wave of enemies.

With a fierce glare, Sera jumped into battle.
