5 years after Zuko's coronation the whole Gaang have thrown themselves into the Restoration Projects but after a while Katara starts to feel useless and unwanted among the Air Acolytes. She wants to be helpful and be a woman in her own right. Then Zuko makes her an offer she can't refuse, the position of Southern Water Tribe Ambassador. Suddenly the world looks decidedly purple.

Zuko is captured by the Dai Li and brainwashed. The Gaang finds Zuko and attempts to heal him. (Starts out cute and funny but doesn’t stay that way.)

The two college students met by chance thanks to Suki and Katara's idea about starting tutoring sessions for the upcoming math final and both of their worlds is about to collide all thanks to algebra. Katara and Zuko are separated from the group when Azula comes to blow up the Western Air Temple. Forced to survive together, Katara learns to trust Zuko despite his previous betrayal in Ba Sing Se, and Zuko learns just how deep and beautiful of a person Katara is.
