I got to thinking about the age differences between elves and humans and I thought, what if a human was sucked into middle earth and turned into an Elf? A teenaged human would seem an infant in the elves' eyes. What would it be like to experience childhood all over again but as an adult? Awkward, right? This one shot is just a random thought that exploded and turned in to a story.

The company of Oakenshield are on their way to the Misty Mountains. They meet an elf/dwarf maid along the way, she intrigues the dwarf prince and joins the group on their quest. Her past is shaded by secrets. Who'll capture her heart? She'll have to decide before she fights for those she loves, she must first fight for her freedom from the King of the Silvan Elves.

What if Thorin didn't let Bilbo go after he discovered that Bilbo had given the Arkenstone to Gandalf and the elves? With Bilbo being held as his prisoner, Thorin must decide whom to trust and whom to kill. Same story with a twist.

Tauriel never expected that helping Kili celebrate his birthday would involve her having to eat what was surely inedible.

A girl who is asked to go and guide and protect the company of Thorin. While she is doing that she starts to have feelings for Thorin and doesn't know how to deal with them.

Her dreams do not plague her, instead they bring her a new purpose, a better way to achieve her life's fulfillment without following her peers across the foot-worn path. She doesn't know what her duty is to the people of Arda, but she knows she must be proactive in discovering her true purpose. Is her purpose tied to the fate of the mountain? Where shall she go if it is not?

After her terrible loss in The Battle of the Five Armies, Tauriel struggles to cope with her seemingly pointless existence. She finds herself in a downward spiral, losing control of everything, when she finds help in the most unlikely of places. Her King. [Tauriel/Thranduil] M for later chapters.
