I always wondered how the gaang, who are all still just teens would navigate the ups and downs of rebuilding the world. It's a challenge and I don't think it would feel as simple as the comics make it look. So I figured I'd write about working through that

Modern Republic City AU. Katara, young physician prodigy of the Southern Water Tribe, pours every ounce of her being into caring for her patients and has little time for anything else. After that fateful Agni Kai, Ozai makes a different call. Branded as a traitor and banished to a prison camp, Zuko learns just how cruel the Fire Nation can be. Three years, a water tribe raid, and a gang of over-enthusiastic, idealistic children put Zuko back in the spotlight. The revolution is coming, and it wants Zuko for a poster boy. Zuko wants to be left alone.

Zuko meets a spirit named Lee on the training grounds. He's got a scar on his face and knows a lot of stuff about a lot of things. For a couple of years, he learns far more than what his tutors teach him.

When two bending masters, one firebending and one earthbending, join Aang, Katara, and Sokka on their travels, how do they change things? Does being older and more experienced set them apart, or do they become the parental guidance and voices of wisdom the group never had? How does their knowledge affect the group's journey? Rated T for some romance and mild violence ON HIATUS

S3 Zutara. The Gang wake up from a fun night of drinking to find none of them can quite remember how Katara and Zuko may have ended up married. Together, the two must face the consequences of their actions. Inspired by a film I saw once when I was a kid, I can't remember the name or any of the actors in it so this is a very lose adaption. Rated T for strong language/ sex talks

Katara shouldn't have been rude to her new customer, no matter how busy the coffeeshop or how obnoxiously he ordered his latte. Then she shouldn't have found herself smiling every time he came back. She really shouldn't have started crushing on him. And she really, really, really shouldn't keep pretending she can't speak English.
