*Chapter 1: The Beginning*
The sounds of the alarm clock were heard in the bedroom of the 14-year-old girl. The hand popped out and hit the clock and it fell to the floor. The girl groaned and opened her eyes that are green as emeralds. She sat up and stretch her arms out, letting out a yawn. She has long light blue hair. Her name is Amikai.
"Another day, another week...of school." Amikai groaned to herself. She got out of bed and walk towards the door to open. But she was greeted by a 17-year-old boy with black hair and brown eyes. "Ah! Kokoro?! What're you doing outside my door? You scared me!" Amikai asked with a look, holding her chest.
"Haha! Sorry, Ames. I was going to barge in and wake you up myself since you slept in the last couple times." Kokoro laughed. "Finally decided to drag yourself out of bed for now, huh?" Amikai gave him a look and pushed him aside to go to the bathroom. She grabbed her brush. "Just to remind you that mom and dad are going out of town tomorrow. Don't forget I'm in charge around here." Kokoro continued to speak.
"Yeah, yeah." Amikai said, not paying attention to him.
"Just promise you won't be pain in the butt." Kokoro said, walking away.
"Since when was I a pain to you? I was doing my own thing!" Amikai called. She scoffed and went back to brushing her hair.
Kokoro sat at the table to eat some pancakes as his mother is making coffee for her and her husband. Amikai walked in the dining room and sat next to her brother. Her mother placed a plate of pancakes down in front of Amikai.
"Good morning, Amikai. Nice to see you at breakfast." She spoke.
"Yeah." Amikai replied, grabbing her fork. The man walked in wearing a suit and grabbed a cup of coffee. He is muttering to himself, running late for work. He gave his wife a quick kiss on the lips before heading out. "Late for work, dad?" Amikai called.
"Yes! Gotta run! Love you kids!" The father replied and he was gone.
"Oh, I wish he didn't have to work so hard just because we have to leave tomorrow." The wife said with a sigh. "Now, we need to discuss the rules while we're away..." Amikai stares down at her breakfast in silent, her mother's voice fades as she began to drift off in her own world. Amikai wished she could leave this island and explore new places. The island she is living on is nice, but she felt trapped. The ocean keeps her prisoner. Destiny Islands is where Amikai lives with her family, goes to high school, and take care of her fox.
"Yo! Ames!" Kokoro spoke, knocking on the table to get his sister's attention. Amikai flinched and looked up at him. "Did you hear what mom said?"
"...No. What?" Amikai asked.
"I said Pepper needs food in his bowl." Their mother said, pointing down at the fox's bowl. The grayish blue fox went up to Amikai and made slight whimpering sounds at her. Amikai smiled and got up to feed him before she gets dressed for school. "You kids better hurry. You'll be late for school."
"We know." Kokoro said, getting up. He hurried out to get in his room to change. Amikai fed her fox companion and hurried to her room.

"Bye mom! See you after school!" Kokoro called as he walked out. Amikai got her black shoes on and got her backpack on.
"Love you mom! Bye Pepper!" Amikai called and closed the door behind her and caught up with her brother. They are wearing similar school uniforms. Black uniforms with a red tie. Except Amikai had to wear a black skirt and tall white socks. "Wish I could wear pants instead of a skirt..." Amikai said as she brushes down her skirt.
"Deal with it. You have three years left." Kokoro said. "I got a couple months left to graduate. Just to tell you right now, being a senior ain't easy." Amikai rolled her eyes at him.
"Oh, come on, Kokoro. It can't be that difficult."
"Try working hard and keep your grades up." Kokoro continued. "One of the teachers didn't like me much. It's not my fault I didn't have time to read the whole book in a week." Amikai couldn't help but to giggle. "Yeah, go ahead and laugh."
"Sorry. You're just a slow reader, that's all." Amikai told him.
"Just be quiet and let's get to school." Kokoro said, walking ahead of her. Amikai smirked and started to run ahead of him. "Hey! You serious?"
"Race ya, brother!" Amikai laughed. Kokoro laughed and started to run after her.
Meanwhile in a different world, there is a castle called Disney Castle. A duck named Donald, a magician, is walking down the hall as the walking brooms walk pass him. Next to him is a 16-year-old boy named Moro. He has midnight blue hair and brown eyes. He is wearing his royal garments. Donald and Moro stopped by the large door that leads to the throne room. Donald cleared his throat and knocked on the door. The little door opened and the two walked in.
"Good morning, your majesty." Donald spoke as he and Moro walked down the red carpet.
"I am ready for your next lesson." Moro said with a smile.
"It's nice to see you this morn-" Donald paused when he and Moro noticed the throne is empty. "What?!" Donald gasped.
"Huh? Where is he?" Moro asked, rushing over to the throne and spot the yellow dog popped out with an envelope in his mouth. "Pluto? Have you seen the king?" Moro asked. Pluto gave the prince the letter and made a whimper.
"What is it?" Donald asked, taking the envelope. The duck scanned the words with his eyes as he read the letter. He blinked and squinted, going over the letter again.
"Donald? What's it say? Where did the king go?" Moro asked. Donald let out a cry as he ran out of the throne room. "Donald! Wait!" Moro called, chasing after him.

In the castle gardens, a dog dressed in armor is snoozing on the grass. Donald hurried over and spotted him. Moro caught up with Donald and watched him trying to wake up the captain.
"Wake up, Goofy! Wake up! This is serious!" Donald shouted. But the captain, Goofy, is snoring away. Donald made a look and used his magic staff to use thunder to shock Goofy. Moro winced a bit as Goofy let out a cry.
"Gawrsh, is it gonna rain?" Goofy asked, rubbing his eyes. He turned to see Donald and Moro. "Oh. Hey there Donald and Moro. G'morning."
"We have a problem, Goofy!" Donald said. "But don't tell anyone."
"Queen Minnie?" Goofy asked, tilting his head.
"Not even the queen!"
"Daisy?"
"No! It's top secret!"
"Donald, you can tell me! I need to know what is going on!" Moro said as he stood next to the two. "Where is the king?"
"Moro, we can discuss this somewhere where we-" Donald was cut off when he turned to see the mouse and a duck behind him.
"Donald? Did something happen to Mickey?" The queen, Minnie, asked with worry in her eyes. Daisy placed her hands on her hips, staring at Donald. Donald let out a nervous chuckle. Moro scratched the back of his head.
"G'morning ladies." Goofy spoke.
"Guess we'll know now." Moro said with a smile as Donald gave him a stern expression.
"Aw nuts..." He grumbled.

Dear Donald,
Please forgive me for leaving so suddenly, but trouble is brewing, and there's no time to lose. I'm not sure why, but the stars have been blinking out...one by one. Hate to leave you, but I have to check into this. As the king, I have a favor to ask you and Goofy...
There is someone out there with a "Key"—the Key to our survival. I need you and Goofy to find him and stick with him! Got it? Without that key, we're doomed! So go to Traverse Town and find Leon...
Bring Moro with you. After what he had learned so far, he is ready to test his skills out there. Keep him safe and the new Keyblade Master.
P.S. Will you apologize to Minnie for me? Thanks pal.
"Oh dear! What could this mean?" Daisy asked after they hear about the letter. Everyone is in the library with worry. Moro sat on the chair behind the desk. He is tapping his fingers on it.
"It means we'll just have to trust the king." Minnie said, holding her hands together.
"Gawrsh, I sure hope he's all right." Goofy spoke.
"Your highness." Donald spoke to Minnie. "Don't worry. We'll find the king and this 'key'." Minnie smiled a little.
"Thank you, both of you." She said. She turned back to Moro. "Moro? You're going with them too, aren't you?"
"I suppose. I've learned a lot from the king." Moro said, thinking back of the lessons he took with him. "He showed me how to fight, how to use magic wisely. He took me in after...my world was gone." He frowned a bit. It was 5 years ago when Moro's world was swallowed by darkness. The king rescued him from the dark and let him stay at the Disney Castle. Moro owes the king a lot. "I'm ready for this." Moro said as he got up and kneeled before the queen. "I owe you and Mickey for taking care of me and be part of this." Minnie placed her gloved hand on the young man's shoulder.
"I believe in you, Moro." She said.
"Daisy, can you take care of the castle?" Donald asked his love interest.
"Of course. You be careful now, all of you." Daisy replied after Moro joined Donald and Goofy.
"Moro, don't forget to pack your gear." Minnie told the prince. Moro nodded and left the library. It will be quite the journey. After he left, Minnie spoke once more to the duo. "Oh, and to chronicle your travels, he will accompany you." Minnie gestured to the desk. Donald and Goofy looked around and there is no one. Except a small figure hopped up and down to get their attention.
"Over here!" He spoke. He smiled and took off his hat. "Cricket's the name. Jiminy Cricket, at your service."
"We hope for your safe return. Please, help the king." Minnie said. Donald and Goofy saluted to the ladies before leaving the library. The journey begins.
Amikai was happy to be back home after a long day at school. Her parents started to pack their things the day before their vacation. Amikai is sitting on the balcony with Pepper, looking at the view of her town and the ocean. She is still in her school uniform. She overheard her parents talking to Kokoro about going to get groceries for them.
"We'll be back in a while." Their father called before heading out the door with his wife.
"Okay!" Amikai called back.
"Hey Ames! You gonna talk your fox out for a walk?" Kokoro asked. Pepper smiled and wagged his fluffy tail.
"Okay. Let's go, Peps." Amikai said as she went back in the house. "Let's go get your leash." As she walked downstairs, a slight earthquake hit. Amikai grabbed the kitchen counter. "Whoa." Pepper went behind her legs and whimper a bit. It stopped. Kokoro hurried downstairs to see Amikai and Pepper.
"You felt that, right?" He asked.
"Yeah. It's...a small earthquake." Amikai said. "You okay?"
"Yeah, are you?"
"We're fine. Now, I'm gonna take Pepper for a walk." Amikai said, opening the closet to grab a harness and a leash. Pepper began to scurry around the room excitedly. Amikai giggled. "Hold still! We need this on you!"
Moro walked down the stairs to get to the ship where Donald, Goofy, and Jiminy are. Moro is now dressed in his adventure gear and brought his weapons for this quest. He is wearing a casual black and white top with a hood, dark blue jeans with black boots, and brown gloves. His belt held his sword and a wand.
He made it to the loadout and saw Minnie and Daisy. The chipmunks, Chip and Dale, are getting things ready for the Gummi Ship to blast off. Moro bowed to Minnie and Daisy.
"We'll return safe, your highness. We will help the king and find the key to save the other worlds." He said.
"Thank you, Moro. Be careful. Remember what the king has taught you. Keep the light in your heart." Minnie told him.
"Yes. Always." Moro said with a nod. He kneeled down to give Minnie a hug. Daisy watched them with a smile. Moro gave her a hug too before getting on the ship.
After a few minutes, the doors opened for the Gummi Ship. Donald pointed ahead as he, Goofy, and Moro sat in their seats. The ship started to blast off.
Outside the castle, the Gummi Ship took off in the sky. Moro looks out the window and placed his hand on the glass.
'I won't let you down, Mickey...' Moro thought to himself.
