I can't even express how sorry I am. So, I hope that someone will still read the next chapter. I promise that I'll try to do it better from now on. Naruto charged at his first enemy. Due to the blonde's speed, the ghost had no time to react. Once he got closer, he used his kunai to swing from left to right. With one strike, the pumpkin ghost turned to dust.
"I can fight. I can kill them. Now I know I can- No, WE can win! "Naruto thought resolutely.
Namikaze turned to look at his kneeling friend, who looked at him wide-eyed.
"Can you still fight? "Naruto questioned and held out a hand to help him up.
"Y-Yeah. I can continue. Thanks. "Akira answered and accepted his friend's hand to get back on his feet.
"There are only four left. So, let's show these clowns what we can do! "The boy with a red coat exclaimed. The levitating enemies shook off their fears and regrouped. They stood in front of two masked boys. Ryuji, who sat down by a wall, could still not believe or even understand what was happening before his very eyes.
"How… How did those two do that? And what are those monsters that suddenly showed up?!
"What are you imbeciles waiting for?! Get them! "Kamoshida cried furiously.
"Agi! "All ghosts fired four fireballs at the boys. Naruto dodged into the right side and Akira into the opposite side.
"Kurama! Let's show them how shinobi fight. A couple of clones and Rasengan might do the trick. "The masked blonde said excitedly.
"Do that, and you're gonna collapse after creating one damm clone of yours! "Kurama shouted.
"What do you mean by that? "
"Even though I am back, the chakra I am giving you right now is low as hell. Something is blocking me from sending you more of my chakra. You have to fight with what you've got, kid. "
"Like I wasn't doing that until now. "Naruto replied with sarcasm in his voice.
"Focus, you idiot! "Roared Kurama. The roar brought the boy back to the fight.
Two fireballs that pumpkin enemies created were heading his way. Fire attacks were close to hitting their target. But, at the very last second, Naruto managed to jump out of the way to the left. The fire burned a little on his right arm but with no severe wound. This situation made Namikaze disadvantaged. Even with kunai and chakra back, the blonde boy could not fight like he was used to.
"Kid, try to use the same technique, like that black-haired boy. Eiha, it was! "The fox suggested.
"Wait, you can do that? "
"I am not sure myself, but it is worth a try! "
"Kurama! Eiha! "The ninja shouted the name of the attack, and his orange mask melted away by red fire. The Nine tails fox appeared behind his container and fired energy at their foes. Unlike his friend, Naruto put more power into his strike. The black-red energy shot from below surrounded both enemies. A second later, the ghosts turned into ashes. Kurama then disappeared. His fight was over. The same went for Akira. He came out victorious. The third student was still leaning against a wall.
"What… What just happened? What was all that?! "Ryuji said, still unable to understand the situation.
"Come on, Ryuji, let's get out of here. "The boy with a fox mask said, who went to his downed friend and tried to help him back on his feet. Sakamoto gladly accepted his classmate's help. However, when Naruto saw that he now had a glove, he started looking at his clothes. Akira did the same with his outfit.
"It's the same cloak I had when I fought Pain, but different. And not just the coat. My entire clothes have changed… "Naruto thought.
Suddenly, Kamoshida entered the cell, approaching the trio with a pissed-off face.
"You two little shits… Argh! "The PE teacher started. Before he could say anything else, Ryuji ran to him, pushing him hard to the ground.
"How do you like that, you son of bitch?! "Ryuji exclaimed triumphantly and looked still at downed Kamoshida without paying attention. A bunch of keys was lying right next to the false king.
"Ryuji, the keys! "Kurusu shouted at his new friend. It was like Akira's voice awakened him from the trance. A red-eyed blonde looked at the keys to their freedom.
"Y-You mean these?! "Sakamoto asked, and without any response, he grabbed them. Run to the doors. The transfer student was right behind him. However, when Naruto ran around their PE teacher, Kamoshida caught the blonde's leg—smirking that he could hold his trophy.
"You are not going anywhere, Namikaze, only through my-"Kamoshida could not finish his sentence. Naruto broke free from his grip and kicked the perverted teacher right to Kamoshida's left face, knocking him out.
"Sweet dreams, asshole. "The blonde student said with a smirk. Then, he ran out of the prison cell and immediately turned to Ryuji.
"Locked it! Hurry! "Shinobi shouted at his blonde friend.
"I am doing it! Okay, it's locked! "Sakamoto yelled with relief. He looked at his two masked friends.
"Hey, you two! What was that just now?! And your clothes, just how…. "A bright light appeared before the loud blonde could finish his sentence. Once it died down, Akira's clothes turned back to his student uniform. The boy with the glasses was surprised by this. However, Naruto's new one did not disappear. Ryuji looked at the transfer student and then at his friend.
"Whoa, it went back to normal? But Naruto, your clothes did not turn back to your uniform? How? "Ryuji questioned, trying to understand a little.
"Beats me. I am just as confused as you are. "Naruto answered honestly.
"Could it be that I used more power than you? "Akira theorized. Naruto found it not to be such a flawed theory.
"What do you think, Kurama? "Naruto asked his long-time partner.
"That four-eyed is not so far from the truth. But I think it's because you have better control over your power, unlike the glasses. Thanks to your experience with the chakra. "Kurama said lazily.
Before Naruto could say anything, the group heard iron footsteps, which were getting closer and closer. Ryuji was in discomfort now that the boys had managed to escape.
"God, this is effin' nuts! We better scram, Naruto; you lead the way! Hrrah! "Ryuji shouted and threw the cell keys as far away as possible. The trio started to run away from their cell.

Location: Shujin Academy, Aoyama-Itchome, Time: Morning, Date: 11th April
Ms. Kawakami sat alone in the faculty room, wondering what was happening today. The young teacher found that the three problematic students had not attended school. First, Sakamoto, who was already a known troublemaker around the school, was no surprise to her. However, what got her worried was the news about the new transfer students Kurusu and Namikaze. Kawakami called both their guardians to get some information. Both guardians said the boys left their homes and headed straight to school.
"... It's the fourth period already. Sakura-san and Munehisa-san said that both Kurusu-Kun and Namikaze-Kun left their homes this morning. With Namikaze-Kun, this has never happened so far, so I'll let it be, just for this once. Even though he had some troubles in the past. But with Kurusu-Kun… Should I contact the police? " Kawakami thought aloud. The teacher found this; it might be correct, but it depended on who.
"No, that will just be more of a hassle… *sigh* Just what did I do to deserve this? "The brunette woman trailed off.
Location: Kamoshida's Castle, Aoyama-Itchome?, Time: Morning, Date: 11th April
The three students continued to find their way out of Kamoshida's castle for 20 minutes. The school basement was supposed to be full of dust, boxes of old textbooks, workbooks, broken school tables, chairs, and god knows what. Instead, the cellar replaced a dungeon with prison cells, cages, and a river. Shujin students found their belongings in a room that looked like a storage room while still looking for a way out. Luckily, during their search, they did not encounter knights in masks. Even though Naruto was the only one who could fight, he knew that if enemies spotted them, there would be a fight. And it would alarm other guards. So fighting was out of options for now, at least. The boys ran on the spiral staircase to the top, where two wooden doors were unlocked. When they opened the doors, in front of them were two consecutive waterfalls. Ryuji could not hide his nervosity after all the running.
"*Huff*… Dude… *Huff* You gotta be shitti' me... This ain't the exit?! For fuck sake, what is this place?! "Ryuji yelled nervously.
"You are not going to help us much if you start panicking. Calm down! "Naruto replied annoyingly.
"Guys, look. Over there. "Akira said and pointed to two locked cages hanging above the water. The trio went to the edge to take a better look. One person sat in the first cage, while in the second cage were two people. All three had masks on for an unknown reason.
"So we really did hear people screamin'… We ain't the only ones who got captured! We have to help them! Naruto, can you do something? "Sakamoto asked his friend desperately. Since Naruto has regained part of his strength, it should not be a problem.
"Don't even bother with those masks, kid. "Kurama said lazily.
"Wait, what? Why should I not? They need-"The blonde boy tried to argue with his sealed partner.
"The energy I am sensing from those cages is... soulless. Like the puppets that those shinobi from the Sand village used. I doubt that you can help them." The fox advised his holder. The young man thought about what his partner said to him. And he came to this conclusion. Shinobi turned to his blonde-haired friend with a sad look.
"I am sorry, Ryuji, but I can do nothing for them. Even if I want to, we don't have keys, and I don't know how-"A newcomer's voice cut off Naruto.
"...Hey! You three there! Spiky blonde! Blondie! Frizzy hair! Over here, the last cell! "An unknown voice shouted. The students ran to the cell from which came the voice. The cell was close to the drawbridge. The voice belonged to the creature, an anthropomorphic and biped tuxedo cat-like creature with a sizeable spheroidal head. His fur was predominantly black, except on his limbs and tail, which appeared white. The bottom front half of his face or his mouth was also white. The cat wore a mask that covered much of his face with elliptic eyes consisting of white sclerae, blue irises, and black pupils. His outer ears are black with white inner ears. He had a yellow scarf around his neck and a utility belt around his hips, with two golden buttons and two bags attached. He had pink paw pads.
"What in the hell is this?! "Ryuji commented surprisingly.
"You don't seem like the soldiers of this castle, right?! Please get me out of here! "The black cat begged the trio.
"We're trying to get the hell out of here! And besides, you look like you could be an enemy too! "Ryuji proclaimed earnestly. Naruto sweatdropped when he heard what his friend had just said.
"Enemy? And locked in the cell? Significant deduction, Sherlock. How can this cat be our enemy and locked in the cell? "Naruto said dryly.
"He's right, Ryuji. That wouldn't make any sense. Besides the… Cat doesn't even look like one of those knights we have seen. "Akira deducted and turned to the prisoner. Sakamoto was about to protest and wanted to start yelling at Naruto, but the black cat was faster.
"At least Spiky blonde and Frizzy hair has got some brain, unlike you, Blondie. However, you should know… I am not a CAT. If any of you will say that again, I'll make you regret it! "The strange creature exclaimed seriously while holding the cell bars. Right after he said it, everyone started to hear the footsteps of their captors. The blonde and black-haired students took out their phones, hoping they could call for help or anyone. However, without any success, tough. Only Naruto took a few steps forward to the blue-eyed creature's cell. The masked blonde squatted and looked into his eyes. The cat was a little nervous, unsure what to expect from the mystery boy. Moreover, the blue-eyed creature could take a good look at his orange fox-like mask.
"His mask… Can he be… "The mysterious cat thought but decided not to talk about it.
"W-Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face? "The prisoner exclaimed.
"What is your name? "Naruto asked calmly. Nevertheless, Ryuji started to panic once more when he heard the question.
"Dude, are you kiddin' me?! They're catchin' up already! We need to find a way out of here, come-"Sakamoto was cut off by his friend when the teen extended his to gesture—telling him to be quiet. The blonde with the mask was not in the mood to deal with him. The prisoner was shocked by Spiky Blonde's question, but he answered.
"I-I am Morgana. And yours, Spiky Blonde? "
"My name is Naruto Namikaze. So, tell us, Morgana, do you know the way out? "
"Of – of course, I know the way. Just let me out, and I'll take you there. The key from this cell is right there! "Morgana said and pointed at the hanging key on the wall. Akira was not sure whether to let Morgana out but asked.
"Can you really help us? "Akira asked their probable savior. The cat just smirked at his query and answered.
"I never go back on my word! "Morgana said with a smile on his face. When Naruto heard those words, his eyes widened, and he smiled—remembering how he used to say that back in his home. The blonde stood up.
"I like that attitude. It's settled, then. Give me a second. "The masked teen exclaimed and went to grab a key. After taking the key, the students and the cat heard other footsteps. All of them turned to the way where the sound was coming from. They knew what it meant. The enemies were getting closer and closer. The ninja returned to Morgana's cell, put the key in the keyhole, and turned the key to the left. The masked teen opened the cell doors. The black cat took a few steps out, then stopped and stretched his back and hands.
"Ahhh… Freedom tastes so great… "Morgana exclaimed happily. However, Sakamoto could not hold back his annoyance.
"Yeah, that' s good and everything. Now, where's the damm exit, you monster cat?! "Ryuji said annoyingly. The cat turned to Sakamoto with an unpleased look.
"Don't call me a monster cat! I AM MORGANA! "The released prisoner shouted back at the boy. Nevertheless, Namikaze could not keep listening to their arguing.
"That's enough, both of you! Ryuji, control yourself a little bit. And you, Morgana… We have done part of our deal. But we are not out of the woods yet. So now it's your turn. Take us to the exit! "The shinobi exclaimed. He tried to calm his friend and the black cat, but the boy with the mask was not in the mood to deal with them.
"R-right. Do you see that bridge? We need to crossover it. After that, it will be straightway out of here! "Morgana explained with a smile like it was the most simple thing in the world. Naruto looked on the left side of the wooden construction to find nothing useful. Akira saw what his new friend was doing and looked to the right side. A statue of Kamoshida's head and crown stood, with a big creepy smile that showed his teeth. Under the PE teacher, the sculpture's chin was part of his royal robes. Kurusu called Naruto to him.
"Naruto, come take a look here." The transferred student called a young hero to him and the rest of the group. And so Naruto listened to him.
"Yeah, Akira? What is...it..." Naruto saw his PE teacher's stone face and was disgusted by it. The statue's face had a look that reminded the boys of the pervert's sight. But this was no time for it.
Moreover, Naruto saw a chain peeking from the statue's head. The young man thought about the hidden mechanism inside the statue's head. He was right. It was connected to the bridge. Morgana went to take a look. Ryuji was still confused about his friend's actions.
"Okay, what are you guys doin'?" Sakamoto asked with a still worried voice.
"We're lowering the bridge Ryuji." The calm, long-haired blonde boy replied.
"I think it has to be something with his face. Maybe eyes? Or a jaw?" The boy with glasses said unsurely.
"Great job, Naruto! You seem to pick up on things faster than our Blondie over here. And you, Frizzy Hair, you are an observant one." Morgana complimented both Naruto and Akira.
"Here goes nothing." A young Namikaze reached to the statue's chin to pull it down. At first, nothing happened. After a few hopeless seconds, the eyes started to glow brightly, and chains were coming out of Kamoshida's statue. The wooden bridge was finally lowered. The group was a little loosened by their success. Nevertheless, the mouth boy was glad but irritated at the same time.
"How in the world were we supposed to know to do that?! Sakamoto stated annoyingly. The black cat wanted to say something, though Naruto was faster.
"No time for that. Let's get out of here. "Naruto said firmly. And they started to run across the bridge. Behind the bridge, the three boys and the cat were stopped by opened, stern wooden doors, revealing two guards.
"A-aah! Shit... shit, it's them again!" Ryuji shouted scaredly.
Ryuji was so startled that he fell to the ground, while the others stopped when they saw their captors again. Around Akira, blue and white light appeared around his body. Once it died down, the black-haired boy wore his black suit again with a mask. The black cat jumped over the lying blonde, landing between his saviors. Having Naruto on his left side and Akira on his opposite side.
"Two? They won't be a problem." The son of Fourth Hokage thought fearlessly and readied his kunai. As for his newly returned powers, he wasn't sure about using them.
"Kurama, how is it looking with the chakra?" The blonde student questioned his tailed beast.
"It's still not enough. Now you have enough chakra for two more attacks like in your previous fight, and that's it. I am going to send as much chakra as I can. For now, use physical attacks." The nine-tailed fox explained. Namikaze mentally nodded, fully understanding his current situation.
"Tch... You are an amateur, Blondie. Stay still!" The talking cat exclaimed. Morgana turned his attention to the standing students.
"Hey, you two! You can fight, right?" The cat with a mask asked the boys. Kurusu looked at Morgana and nodded at him while the young shinobi paid attention to his enemies. But he also nodded at the cat's question.
"Then let's go... Come... Zorro!" The blued-eyed creature shouted. Blue energy shot up from his body to the ceiling. Once it disappeared, it revealed a black-masked swordsman with muscular arms, except for its thighs and feet, which looked very similar to skinny humans. He also had a large belt with a vast buckle shaped like a "Z." and a black cloak. He wielded a rapier in his right hand while his left arm was bent on the side. Akira was shocked but also relieved because now they had the upper hand. While Naruto wasn't looking, he felt the shockwave and had a little smile on his face. Still, on the ground, Sakamoto was even more shocked that the black cat had the same powers as his friends.
"E-even y-you got one of those things too!? "Ryuji yelled with a shock on his face. Right after what he just said, the guards have changed. The first guard transformed into a pumpkin ghost, while the second became a flying demon with a skinny human body with wings on his back and tail. On the demon's face was a big and evil smirk. His skin was dark pink, while his hands and legs were black.
"Hmph, we will promptly shut them up! "Morgana exclaimed. Just as he said it, the ghost charged at the cat. He tried to land a hit with his lantern. Morgana jumped without problem out of the way, successfully dodged the ghost's physical attack, and landed further from his enemy. Much to the ghost's disappointment, he was angry and desperate. So he tried to use a spell.
"You won't get so lucky this time, trash! Jack-o'-Lantern won't fail King Kamoshida! Agi! "The enemy shouted and shot a fireball at his former captive. Morgana did not have much time to react. He could only think of crossing his hands before his face and taking the attack. Luckily, Jack-o'-Lantern's fireball was not as powerful as he thought. Only his palms were a little burned.
"Damm Shadows… Looks like it's not about capturing us anymore… They're out for blood! I hope you two know how to fight. "Morgana thought.
Then, the cat looked at the boys. Naruto and Akira stood still with their weapons and waited for their opponent to strike. The new transfer student wanted to charge at their enemy. Moreover, Naruto stopped him first.
"Akira… Let him strike us first. We don't know what his abilities are. And the only way to do that is to let him go first. But don't loosen up your defense. Wait for my signal! "Namikaze advised Akira, still not taking his eyes off the enemy.
"Okay then. "Kurusu agreed.
"Hehehe… So you want to see my abilities so severely? Then, watch… Evil touch! "Bedside Brute exclaimed. He stretched out his hand, and a purple-black circle appeared before Naruto. The son of Fourth Hokage did not have time to react, and before he knew it, the vortex that sucked into the teen with a mask was gone. He wondered what that was all about because he didn't feel different. The Shadow had widened eyes, and his face said it all; his spell did not work. But most importantly, the boy didn't have time to figure that out. It was his and his friend's time to strike.
"Akira, let's use THAT! "The boy with a fox mask cried.
"Arséne! Eiha! "
"Kurama! Eiha! "
The boys' masks disappeared, and monsters showed up above them. Right after that, Arséne and Nine-tailed Fox fired black-red energy bursts that fused into one big attack that shot from below.
"AHHHHHHHH! "The Shadow screamed in pain.
The demon was gone a second later, and Arséne and Kurama vanished. Morgana saw that the Shujin students' fight was over. So now it was his turn to finish his battle.
"Time to finish it! Persona! Garu! "Morgana called out his Persona. Zorro appeared and swung with his rapier to summon a green vortex surrounding his enemy. Right after that, Jack-O-Lantern was no more. And Zorro was also gone. The black cat went to his new comrades.
"You two have pretty powerful Personas. And even better teamwork! "Morgana commended the students—Ryuji, who got back on his feet and asked what the cat just said.
"Yeah, you were amazing! But what is Persona? Y'mean that thing that comes outta you guys all dramatic-like? "Ryuji asked, a little calmer now.
"Yes. You saw how Frizzy Hair and Naruto here ripped off their masks when they summoned them, right? Well, everybody wears a mask deep within their heart. By removing that… "Morgana interrupted when, once again, a bright light surrounded the black-haired boy. Once it dissolved, Akira was revealed again in his uniform. Nevertheless, Naruto still had his new outfit on.
"Huh? He turned back to normal… Unlike Naruto... "Sakamoto trailed off. The cat with a yellow scarf looked at the blonde boy, and he measured him from head to toe. The little cat tried to figure out why that was.
"Hm, it looks like you don't have full control over your power yet. But you, Naruto… I am surprised at how good you are at controlling your own power. You've got a real potential. "The cat explained.
"So what can I do to prevent that from happening? "The young man with glasses asked with curiosity.
"I was wondering the same thing myself. "The hero replied.
"To be honest, the transformation shouldn't normally dissolve like that. After all- "Morgana wanted to continue but was stopped by really impatient Ryuji.
"Rrgh, that's enough! This crap doesn't make any sense! "Sakamoto exclaimed angrily. Nevertheless, the blue-eyed creature was also annoyed by the student's interruption and crap.
"Can't you just still still and listen for once, Blondie!? "The cat snapped back at the short-haired blonde boy.
"Don't call me Blondie! My name's Ryuji… "The loud boy wanted to continue. But he was stopped by his blonde friend.
"For the LAST time, and seriously, I am not in the mood to be the damm referee here. If you want to continue so much in this "who is louder "competition, then continue outside. Until then, keep your emotions in check. Got it?! "Naruto said in an annoyed mood. He understood how he was back in the academy and being genin, how he acted like a kid who wanted to be heard. That there was almost always somebody who had to keep his cool. It was tough for someone who had no parents who could teach him what was right and what was not. It was even more complicated for somebody like Naruto when everyone hated him for having Kurama sealed inside him. However, during his three years of training with his Master Jiraiya, he was taught new techniques, but importantly, how to keep calm in almost every situation and become the shinobi without fear. If only it were that simple. It wasn't something anyone could learn in no time. This training was the toughest and only fit for a few individuals.
Since Namikaze returned to his village, he focused more on training his ninjutsu and missions. But during the war and fight with Kaguya, he finally remembered what his master had explained about overcoming his fears. Seeing so much death, hatred, and desperation changed him. Charging thoughtlessly and recklessly into the war against Madara and Obito was out of the question for him. He always tried to think forward and kept his temperament under check. And it paid off, especially when he gained power from Rikudo Sennin to fight Madara and, after him, Kaguya. He just wished that things could turned out differently in their last fight.
"Yes, you're right. There's no time for me to lecture you, Ryuji. You wanna escape this place in one piece, right? It's not much further to the exit. So let's go. "Morgana said as calmly as possible. Sakamoto understood the strength of the cat's argument and decided to follow him. The group started to run forward. Later, they encountered another bridge. This one also looked like the previous one. The shinobi saw the same statue as the man he despised on the right side of the bridge. With no time to lose, Naruto stepped forward to lower the bridge. Suddenly, Ryuji saw something and went to the cell. The prisoner was a boy around the same age as them. He wore gym clothes with Shujin colors.
"Hold on a sec! I feel like I've seen what this dude's wearin' before… "Sakamoto trailed off. The trio stepped closer to the cell, too.
"Dammit! I'm too flustered! I can't remember anything right now! "The red-eyed was annoyed by his own forgetfulness. Naruto took a closer look at the lying prisoner.
"Step aside, Ryuji. Well... I don't know his name, but I think I saw him on the volleyball team at our school. "Naruto analyzed the prisoner and entered his mindscape to ensure it was real or like the prisoners they saw earlier.
"What do you think, Kurama? Rescue or leave? "The Jinchuuriki asked with a bit of hope in his voice.
"Leave him. He is the same. "Kurama answered lazily to his Jinchuuriki. With these words from his beast, Naruto left his mindscape.
"Come on, you two! Let's go! "Morgana ordered.
"Hold on- "Ryuji wanted to continue, but Namikaze beat him.
"Morgana is right. We need to get out of here. We don't have time. "The young boy said firmly. However, the red-eyed student was stunned by his friend's decision.
"Are you serious?! We can't just leave him in there! "Ryuji shouted in disbelief. Right after that, Naruto wanted to tell him something. He didn't have a chance because somebody lowered the bridge. On its second end, it stood two Shadows.
"There you are, maggots! "Shadow exclaimed, and both of them transformed. This time, they transformed into what looked like a fairy with long brown hair and wings on their backs. Their blue top was sleeveless, and blue long gloves covered their arms. While on their legs, blue knee pads.
"Let's fight! "Akira said and changed as it was on instinct.
"Now we are talking! It will be over in no time. "Naruto exclaimed and joined his masked friend. Morgana did not want to be left behind and also joined.
"I am glad you two stick to your guns! "The cat praised the boys. He was delighted that they were no cowards.
"Zio! "The fairy shouted and fired a yellow lighting at her enemies. The trio tried to get out of the way. But only Morgana was hit. The attack was not so solid but painful. What was worse, he couldn't move.
"Damm… I can't… move…To think… that… lightning… is my… weakness... "Morgana managed to get out something of him. Akira wanted to rush to him so he could help him; however, he was stopped by Naruto's voice.
