Huntresses of Fairy Tail
Things were quiet, and solemn in the Magnolia Hospital. Fairy Tail's medical room, wasn't equipped to handle the injuries all four members had sustained, as Levy, Jet, Droy, and Ruby laid comatose in the beds, even if it was still standing.
"Ruby, Jet, Droy, Levy." Lucy said sadly, sitting at Levy's bedside. "They sure can do some awful things, these Phantom Lord Huntsmen. I can't believe I even considered them as my back up plan, if I couldn't get into Fairy Tail."
"You're telling me."
Lucy looked up from Levy, to see Weiss, sitting at Ruby's bedside, an angered and solemn expression on her face, as she cut little bunny apple slices for Ruby, when she woke up.
"Seeing what they've done, I feel like a fool for trying to force my team into reconsidering joining Phantom Lord." Weiss said. "I thought they were better then this, but turns out they're nothing more then heartless thugs. This is unforgivable. They're unforgiveable."
"Hey, it's not your fault." Lucy said. "Phantom Lord just chose to show their true colors at this time."
"Still, I feel like such an idiot, for thinking they were the superior guild." Weiss said. "Yang and Blake were right about Phantom Lord, I guess I just didn't wanna believe it, because of their connection with my father."
"That very connection, should have been an indication on what their true nature is." Lucy sighed.
"You're one to talk, Ms. Heartfilia Heiress." Weiss said. "Did you really think I wouldn't recognize you?"
"I'm not surprised you recognized me, more that you actually remembered me." Lucy said.
"We've attended so many parties and banquets for potential suitors together, how could I not recognize and remember you?" Weiss asked, a small smile crossing her face. "I remember when we were little, we'd hide away from the grown ups and play games. Your mom would always find us, and had snacks from the feasts for us, with a smile on her face."
"I remember those days. But we grew distant, after a disagreement between our fathers." Lucy said. "When I first saw you, back when you had joined Fairy Tail, how it was good to see you again, but then that would have blown my secret to the rest of the guild."
"Do you think your father has anything to do with Phantom Lord attacking Fairy Tail like this?" Weiss asked, putting the plate of apple slices on the side table next to Ruby's head.
"I've been away from home for a year, I doubt he'd just all of a sudden start caring about me now." Lucy said. "An' if he did, what would he get out of this?"
"I don't know." Weiss sighed. "But let's hope the rest of our Guild mates, make it back without any trouble."
~Phantom Lord~
"Oh yeah, did you see the looks on those animal lovers faces?" The orange haired leader of Team CRDL questioned.
"I know, Rose totally had what was coming to her, after she joined that guild of animal loving freaks." Russel stated.
"Too bad our Guild Instructor, decided not to accompany us." Dove said, looking to the Dragonslayer eating a heap of scrap metal.
"Yeah, we had to pin their bodies to the tree ourselves, no thanks to you Gajeel." Sky stated.
"How many times do I gotta tell ya?" Gajeel questioned, before an iron club slammed into Sky's face, knocking him down. "Don't talk to me, while I'm eating."
"Seriously though, why the hell did you decide to return to the Guild, when we still had work to do in Magnolia?" Cardin questioned, showing he had the Phantom Lord Emblem on the right side of his face.
Cardin was a bulky young man, with swept spiked copper orange hair, wearing a chest plate over a sleeveless shirt, cargo pants, and armored shin and forearms guards, with his weapon at his hip.
"Seriously, Fairy Tail's nothing but a bunch of wimps and losers who are freaks. They should treat Faunus how they should be treated, like the animals they are." Russel said.
Russel wasn't as bulky as Cardin, but having his fair share of muscle mass, he had a single sided chest plate, similar to an archers chest plate, with knuckled gloves, and jeans with steel toed boots, with the Phantom Lord emblem on his right shoulder.
"Don't tell us, you're scared of them." Dove mocked.
Dove had the same build as Russel, but was completely topless, with the Phantom Lord emblem visible on his left pectoral, a pair of bracers on his forearms, and a pair of loose fitting martial arts pants from the waist down.
"That's gotta be it. He's actually afraid of Fairy Tail." Sky stated, picking himself up, showing he was dressed with a mix of Dove and Russel's styles, but wearing cargo pants, while only wearing a single sided archers chest plate, with the Phantom Lord emblem visible on the left underside of his neck.
"Don't mistake my actions for cowardice you morons." Gajeel stated.
Gajeel, sat there with a menacing look towards Team CRDL, showing he was a tall and muscular young man with long, spiky black hair, slicked back, revealing his forehead. He has red eyes with slitted dark pupils, and has no visible eyebrows, with simple studs in place of them like most of his exposed body. The studs above his eyes, are some of the most visible studs are on his body, with two on each side of his nose, and two on his chin, just below his mouth. His ears are adorned by two sets of five earrings each, with four studs on each of his forearms, with his right arm being covered in scars. As a member of the Phantom Lord Guild, he bears his Phantom Lord mark at the top of his right shoulder. Gajeel's outfit consisted of a shabby, black, sleeveless tunic with studded edges, a studded belt around his waist, loose, beige pants tucked inside studded black boots, and a pair of studded brown gloves paired with similarly studded wristbands.
"If you four had any actual brains in those heads of yours, you wouldn't have attacked for flies." Gajeel stated, biting on a piece of metal, showing his sharp canines. "What you idiots have done, is incurred the God of Wars wrath."
"What, you mean that stupid animal who got his own issue in Sorcerer Weekly?" Cardin questioned. "He's nothing, just a worthless animal with an overgrown ego."
Cardin's words caused the entire guild to fall silent, shocking Team CRDL, before the copper haired boys face was slammed by an iron club, and he was pinned to the ground by his head, with Gajeel standing over him.
"Listen here brat, and listen well." Gajeel stated, his eyes filled with rage. "The God of War, is the only person in that goddamn guild of weaklings, that everyone in this guild shows respect towards. His power, is equal to that of a Wizard Saints."
"If he's that great, then why isn't he an actual Wizard Saint?" Russel asked, sounding nervous at seeing Gajeel's reaction to Cardin's words.
"Because all ten spots are already filled." Gajeel said. "Though he'd be a nominee for a spot if one opened up."
"What makes him so respectable to you?" Dove questioned.
"Our respect for him, comes from a place of experience." Gajeel said. "His raw physical strength alone, can take your breath away. His Aura isn't even unlocked, so he doesn't even have his Semblance to rely on, just his strength and his magic."
Before anyone could say anything else, the ground beneath their feet began to rumble, followed quickly by the entire building.
"What's going on?" Sky asked.
"He's here." Gajeel said, looking to the front of the guild, as the sound of breaking stone, echoed through the air, and light began to filter through.
"Holy shit." Cardin said, his eyes wide with shock.
The rest of the guild looked on as the entire wall, was removed from the structure of the Guildhall's main floor, before it was hoisted into the air, showing Raion standing there, his expression showing he was pissed, as he threw the wall, like a discus.
"Hello Phantom Lord." Raion said, as the dust settled to show Makarov, and the rest of Fairy Tail coming in behind him, Blake and Yang on his sides. "Fairy Tail, has come to collect karma's debt."
"Well fuck." Gajeel hissed. "Didn't even get to finish my last meal."
~Weiss & Lucy~
"I can't believe everyone just… took off without us." Lucy sighed, walking down the street with Weiss, both of them carrying a bag of groceries.
"It's for the best." Weiss said. "Mira's busy at the Guildhall, and someone had to stay behind to look after our comatose companions." She stated, before she felt a droplet of water fall on her, and looked up. "Rain?" She asked, holding out her hand.
"A spring shower maybe?" Lucy asked, before their attention was drawn forward, and they saw a blue haired woman, walking towards them. "Who are you?"
"No, it can't be, one of them." Weiss said, recognizing the woman coming to them.
"Drip-drip-drop." She said. "Juvia is the rain woman. It's always with me. An' what sort of women are you, pray tell?"
"We're just the regular kind." Lucy said.
"Drip-drip-drop." Juvia continued as she walked past the two Fairy Tail mages.
"What's with all the drip dropping?" Lucy asked, before Juvia pulled out an umbrella.
"It's her thing, she says that because the rain literally follows her, everywhere she goes." Weiss stated.
"Pleasure to meet you, I'll be going now." Juvia stated.
"Well take the rain with ya." Lucy said.
"Lucy, be careful around her." Weiss whispered. "She's got powerful magic. She's one of Phantom's Element4. Their elite."
"Oh my, what an impressive and clever young woman you are." A voice with a French accent echoed through the air, as someone came out of the ground. "Good afternoon, I bid you both bonjour."
"Great, another weirdo." Lucy said.
"Lucy, that's Sol of the Earth. He's another of the Element4." Weiss stated. "If they're both here, then it means they're after something."
"Juvia, my companion, you mustn't shy away from the task at hand." The man said.
"No, Monsieur Sol." Juvia said.
"My monocle whispers many things to me. It tells me, these two before us are our targets." Sol stated.
"Does it, so they are the two?" Juvia questioned.
"Targets?" Lucy questioned.
"A pardon moi. I have not introduced myself." Sol stated. "I am Sol, of the Element4, also known as Sol of the Earth. But it'd behoove you both to call me Monsieur Sol."
"I've heard of the Element4. You're both with Phantom!" Lucy exclaimed, reaching for her key. "You're both part of the reason why Ruby, and Team Shadow Gear are in their current conditions." She stated, as Weiss requipped her weapon into her hands.
"Very good, that's mostly correct." Sol stated. "I'm afraid the harm that befell your comrades, was the doing of the newbie team from Beacon Academy, under Monsieur Gajeel's watch, without his knowing. Thankfully, he stepped in and stopped them, before any of them could kill anyone."
"So Phantom Lord wasn't directly part of the attack on Ruby and the others. But it should still take responsibility for what their members did." Weiss stated, getting ready for a fight. "Talk, why are you here?"
"We've been sent here to collect you both and bring you back to the guild with us at once." Sol said.
"We're not going anywhere with you." Lucy declared, dropping her groceries, as she grabbed her keys.
Unfortunately, the other two were quick to respond, as Juvia encased them both in a bubble of water, causing Lucy to drop her keys.
"Why are you doing this? Let us out of here now." Lucy cried out.
"Don't waste your energy, my Water Lock spell cannot be broken." Juvia said.
"Shows what you know about the Schnees." Weiss declared. "Arctic Deity: Fury of the Unforgiving Winter Lands!" She chanted, before the water lock turned to a sphere of black ice, and shattered from the inside, allowing for Weiss to grab Lucy's keys, with the shivering blonde, before using a Glyph to get away.
"Ah-ah-ah." Sol said, before the sound of a ringing bell reached Weiss's ears, and her eyes went blank as she stopped in her tracks.
"Hey, Weiss what are you doing?" Lucy questioned. "We need to keep running."
"I'm sorry Madam, but I'm afraid, she's gonna be under our control for the time being." Sol said, holding up the bell that put Weiss in a trance. "Come along now Ms. Schnee, and please to avoid a scene, render Madam Heartfilia unconscious."
"Wait, what are you do…" Lucy began to question, before her eyes went blank, as Weiss hit her with a chop to the back of the neck.
"Come along Juvia, we have what we came for." She heard Sol say, before the world around her went black.
~Phantom Guildhall~
"C'mon Team CRDL. Let's show these animal loving freaks, what's what." Cardin shouted, as he and his team ran towards the Fairy Tail Huntsmen.
After Fairy Tail made their presence known, the battle had begun. But the only ones stupid enough to actually attack Raion, was Team CRDL.
"We'll show the rest of the Guild our strength." Cardin stated. "An' we'll prove to them, that there's nothing special or respectable about a damned animal like you. You're just some hothead with a massive ego!"
Raion didn't even move, as Cardin swung his weapon at Raion, hitting him in the face. The teens smile was prominent, before Raion pushed back against the mace, before he grabbed it by the hilt, and examined the weapon.
"You're the one, who attacked Ruby, aren't you?" Raion questioned, his tightening grip on the weapon, bending the metal.
"So what if I am?" Cardin questioned.
"Yang!"
Cardin's eyes widened in confusion, before Raion sent the teen sliding back away from him, just before Yang could be seeing flying over Raion, as if she were thrown, her eyes a burning red as she came falling down and slammed her flaming fist into Cardin's face.
"Concentrate your attacks on their Master." One of the Phantom Goons shouted, as they all charged at Makarov.
Without even moving an inch, Makarov showed no fear towards them, before he suddenly grew into a giant, breaking through several catwalks, and slamming his hand down on the Phantom Goons charging at him.
"He's a monster."
"An' you dared to lay your hands on this monsters children." Makarov growled, his voice filled with rage. "Are you truly foolish enough to believe human law can protect you from my rage."
"He… He's really strong."
"An' his Guild is no joke either."
"They're tearing us apart."
"Jose." Makarov shouted. "Come out, and show yourself, you coward."
"Where are they?" Erza questioned, as the entire building began to shake. "Where are the Element4?"
"Gajeel!" Raion shouted, looking towards the Iron Dragonslayer. "I've got a bone to pick with you."
"Hey, come on now. I didn't order those idiots to attack your friends." Gajeel said. "I learned from the last time one of our own did something that stupid, that is wouldn't end well for Phantom Lord."
"That's not what matters right now." Raion said. "Destroying our Guildhall, I could have let slide, it's nothing but brick, wood, and mortar. But you failed, to reign in your subordinates. You failed, to teach them the dangers of igniting the fuse that would lead to war, and now four of my friends, are laying comatose in the hospital."
"I tried to stop them believe me, but they kept insisting harming your Guild mates would send a clear message to you, and your Guild." Gajeel said, before Raion grabbed him by the front of his tunic, and threw him over his shoulder, and into a wooden beam.
"Then you should have tried harder." Raion stated, instantly pining Gajeel to the beam.
"I tried." Gajeel stated, before slamming his elbow down on Raion's arm, forcing the young mans grip to release, while giving Gajeel a chance to move away. "It's not as easy as it looks to manage four Kōhai on your own you know. You should know how hard it is, with having four of them to take care of on your own. Why are you getting so mad about a girl you've only known for a few weeks?"
"It's not just a few weeks Gajeel." Raion stated. "Ruby and I, even Yang. The three of us, go way back, all the way to when we were just little kids. She's a childhood friend of mine, a precious comrade in arms, and someone I truly care about. Even if Master Makarov had said no to attacking Phantom Lord after what happened to the four of them, the Council be Damned, I would have come here, to settle things myself!" He exclaimed, glaring at Gajeel, his eyes glowing red.
"Oh man." Gajeel tsked smacking himself in the forehead. "Cardin really screwed the pooch this time."
"Yang, and Blake are already dealing with Cardin and his team. Which leaves you and me, to our own devices." Raion said.
"No need for that big guy." Gajeel said. "I'd rather not die fighting someone I know I can't beat. Don't get me wrong, normally I'd be all in about a friendly bout with you. But this is different, you're out for blood, and you're aiming that anger at the wrong man. I'm not the one who gave the order to attack your friends."
"What are you saying?" Raion asked.
"Cardin might have been the one to come up with the idea for attacking your friends, but it was Master Jose who instigated that idea when he told us to get your attention, by any means necessary." Gajeel stated. "If you want someone to be mad at, then be mad at our Master, but leave me out of it. I didn't take part in the beating, I just stopped Team CRDL before they could kill anyone."
Raion just looked at Gajeel, before turning his attention to the Titanic Makarov, as he was marching around, shouting out for Jose to show himself.
"Guess I really screwed the pooch on our connection huh?" Raion asked, taking a deep breath.
"No hard feelings man." Gajeel said, coming up to him. "You were in a blind rage, and had every right to it. I'm just glad I was able to talk some sense into ya, before you could lose sight of your morals."
"I still feel like an idiot though." Raion sighed. "We still on for this Saturday?"
"If I'm not in jail by then, yeah. I'll see you at our usual spot." Gajeel said, heading off. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to avoid all this madness, before I get drawn into it."
With Gajeel leaving, Raion looked to the battle surrounding him, before he took a deep breath, and flew straight for his titan sized Master.
"Master Makarov." Raion called, landing on the giants shoulder. "Allow me to join you. I won't just sit back, and let you find Jose on your own."
"Very well Raion." Makarov said.
Reducing himself back to his normal size, Raion grabbed Makarov, and flew straight into the air, the force of takeoff knocking down the guild members who were charging at them for an attack.
With his Heat Vision, Raion weakened the structure of the levels above them, before breaking through like a battering ram, before he broke through the surface of the top floor of the Phantom Lord Guild Hall, where they found the man responsible for this entire mess, sitting in what looked like his throne, with a long purple witches hat, and bat wings sewn into the cloak.
"Jose." Makarov shouted, after Raion put him down.
"Oh, look what the cat dragged in." Jose smiled. "Did you have to destroy a majority of my Guild Hall?"
"Why are you attacking Fairy Tail?" Makarov questioned. "Tell me."
"I haven't seen you in quite a while, Makarov. Six years ago at a Guild Master's conference is when we last saw each other, if I recall correctly. I remember that day. I was a complete mess. I'm a total lightweight and can't hold my liquor as well as the rest of you."
Raion and Makarov responded with a flying falchion connected to a chain, and throwing a giant fist at Jose, shattering the throne and the wall behind it, while heaving up a cloud of dust.
"We didn't come here for small talk. I want answers, Jose." Makarov growled. The dust cleared to reveal Jose unharmed while his form glitched a bit with the madman laughing, and the falchion piercing the wall behind him. "A projection? You coward. I should have known you'd flee with your tail between your legs."
"It's not cowardice. Nor is it fleeing when I was never there to begin with." Jose argued. "I'm simply trying to avoid a fight between three peers with the strength of Wizard Saints. In lieu of that mess, I'd prefer a sensible victory, without all the commotion."
"Why are you hiding? Come and face us like a man!" Raion glared. "Come and face penance for what you did to Ruby and Team Shadow Gear."
"I wouldn't be so bold as to talk like that, if I were you." Jose said, before snapping his fingers.
At the foot of Jose's projection, the images of an unconscious Lucy, and a struggling, tied up Weiss appeared on the ground, causing Makarov and Raion to gasp.
"Raion." Weiss cried out, struggling in her bindings. "Help."
"Lucy, Weiss? But why?" Makarov asked.
"Why you ask? You mean they're members of your guild, and you don't know?" Jose asked, before looking to Raion. "I'm sure you're already well aware of Ms. Schnee's position, as she's not shy about it. But Ms. Heartfilia's position is something else entirely. Still I can't…"
Jose stopped talking, as Raion stepped up to the projection, and actually managed to grab him by the neck, lifting him off the ground.
"As expected, your projection is made of magic." Raion growled, before throwing it back, causing the projection to hit the back wall, making it look like the falchion had skewered him straight through. "I will only say this once. If a single hair on either of their heads, is even harmed. I will find every damn branch of Phantom Lord Guildhall, all over the Kingdom, and I will destroy every single one of them, leaving no survivors."
Jose struggled to breathe, not because he was suffocating, but because he was terrified out of his mind. He was terrified of what was happening, due to several factors. One, Raion was able to harm him through his magical projection. Two, the look in the young mans eyes told the Phantom Master that he wasn't bluffing. Three, the aura Raion was giving off, as the gem hanging from his neck was shining brightly, giving Jose the impression he was looking right at a beast of immeasurable power, only heard of in myth and lore. The beast's silhouette reminded Jose, of that of a divine beasts.
"Now let Lucy and Weiss go. Or I swear you're going to regret it." Raion growled, the canines in his jaw visibly growing sharper.
"How… how are you… doing this to me… when I'm not even there?" Jose managed to choke out.
"A little trick I learned, fighting someone with a knack for illusion magic similar to this." Raion stated, his hand gripping the hilt of the falchion tightly. "I just covered my body in armor like Ki, and attuned it to the frequency of your projection, so I could actually harm you. I'm able to apply this nifty little trick, to anything I touch as well."
Jose didn't respond verbally, rather he and the projections of Lucy and Weiss vanished from sight, leaving Raion standing there, holding the falchion in his grip, before he lowered his arm, and shattered the falchion with a clench of his fist. With his rage still burning brightly, Raion slammed his fist into the wall, destroying the throne room. Raion was only brought back to his senses, when he felt a strong magical presence appear behind him, before he twisted around, seeing a large man in green, with bandages over his eyes, and tears flowing from under them, floating there off the ground.
"Raion look out." Makarov shouted, pushing the young man out of the way.
~Yang & Blake~
"What in the hell, compelled you to attack and nearly kill my sister?" Yang questioned, slamming her fists into Cardin's weapon, each strike sending shockwaves through her body. "She's comatose now, because of you."
"Not my problem." Cardin stated, swinging his weapon back at her. "Master Jose ordered us to draw your entire guilds attention to us, by any means necessary. An' since wrecking your Guildhall didn't work, I figured sending four of you animal lovers to the hospital would."
"BASTARD!" Yang shouted, her fist slamming into his stomach, as she threw a close ranged uppercut.
"Get your fucking hands off him, you bitch!" Russel shouted, rushing Yang.
The blonde Dragonslayer moved out of the way, dodging Russel's attack, before she spun around and hit him with a spinning back kick.
"Purgatory Dragon: Devil's Talon!" Yang shouted, knocking Russel into some of his Guild mates.
"Yang, you doing okay?" Blake questioned, sliding in next to her partner, as she moved away while slashing at Dove and Sky.
"My sister, is comatose in the hospital, what do you think?" Yang questioned, her growling gaze locked onto Cardin and his team.
"I don't understand why you're so upset." Cardin said. "Your sister was an animal lover, now she knows what happens when she doesn't treat Faunus like the animals they really are. Maybe if you ask nicely, and join Phantom Lord, I can show you a good time, and how to really treat those animals called Faunus."
"I, am going, to kill you." Yang growled, her teeth grit hard.
(Cue Music… Holding out for a Hero: Little V)
Without uttering another word, Yang went rushing towards Cardin, taking the taller young man off guard, as he was barely able to bring up his mace in defense, and blocked the punch Yang aimed for his face.
"The hell's your problem bitch?" Cardin questioned. "Can't handle the truth when it's spoken to you?"
"Shut, your goddamn, SHIT HOLE!" Yang shouted, using the momentum to push Cardin's mace to the ground, before she hit him with a spinning attack that landed her knee in his face, with her body continuing the momentum, and slamming her leg in the side of his head, and knocking him to the ground, with a heavy rumble.
"Fucking whore!" Sky shouted, running to Yang with his weapon pulled back.
"Full Body Takeover: Beast Soul!" Blake called out, jumping over Yang as her body lit up in golden light, before it dispersed as she slammed both her feet into Sky's chest, and knocked him on his ass rolling back. The rest of Team CRDL looked at Blake in shock, as in her place, stood an anthromorphic white furred cheetah with red spots, sharp fangs, and claws that looked like they could slice through metal. "Demon Cheetah!"
"I am a proud member of Fairy Tail." Yang stated, kicking Cardin over to the rest of his team. "I am proud to say, I support the Faunus, and view them as our equals. An' no one, no matter who they are, or how powerful they may be, will ever change mine, or my sisters minds on that matter."
"Bimbo's brains must be in her boobs." Cardin groaned, as he picked himself up.
"What now Cardin?" Russel asked, as he helped Sky to his feet.
"Russel, Sky, you two take down the bimbo's animal partner. Dove, you're with me, we'll show these two just how superior we are, and exactly how wrong they are." Cardin stated.
"You sure that'll work?" Russel asked.
"Oh yeah, we've seen all the tricks up their sleeves." Cardin said confidently. "We know what to expect from them."
Carding and Dove charge at Yang, with the blonde Huntress taking a single step forward, testing the waters of this fight, before she shuffled her feet back, then forward again, hitting Cardin with a jab-cross combo, knocking him back. With his leader pushed back, Dove pushed forward towards Yang, swinging his weapon at the blonde.
Yang shuffled back, jumping to one side, before she thrust her arm out, red magical energy taking on the form of a chain shooting from the back of her hand, and wrapping around Dove.
"What the?" Dove questioned, before he was pulled by the magic chains, and began to spin.
"Don't underestimate me, just because my reproductive parts are on the inside, and not the outside, JACKASS!" Yang shouted, swinging Dove around clockwise, picking up speed and slamming him into Cardin, knocking the ginger haired man into the wall, as she continued to spin Dove around.
On the other side of the fight, Blake was having her own battle with Russel and Sky. Switching from Demon Cheetah, to another beast.
"Full Body Takeover: Beast Soul!" She cried out, jumping in the air, and avoiding a double hit from the two young men of CRDL. Landing on the ground, Blake's light illuminated body shattered, revealing her new form, as she was covered in black fur, with burning red eyes, and had a slender, yet muscular form, while the fur glimmered like polished stone. "Obsidian Lioness!"
"She's got more then one transformation?" Sky questioned, before he was forced to block a swipe from Blake's claws, resulting in him crying out in pain, as they had managed to slice through his aura and gouged out part of the flesh on his arms.
"Those claws are sharp, be careful around her!" Russel stated.
"No shit Sherlock!" Sky shouted back, as he ran at Blake.
"Shadow Demon…" Blake chanted, her eyes glowing violet as she punched her fists together, before they ignited in what looked like black flames with a purple tint to their edges. "Flames of Hell!"
Blake went running at Sky and Russel, moving under Sky's swing, before hitting him with an uppercut. Without even needing to look, Blake jumped over Russel as he attacked her from the other side, and struck him with a solid kick to the back of the head. Removing Gambol Shroud from her back, she held on tight to the ribbon and sent her weapon towards Sky, wrapping it around his waist, before using her beastly strength to pull on him, and began to swing him around counter clockwise.
Both Yang and Blake continued to swing around, before they both gave a final swing with all their strength, slamming both Dove and Sky into one another, shattering their aura's and knocking them out.
Blake pulled back Gambol Shroud, as Yangs chain magic vanished, both of them looking straight at the remaining two members of Team CRDL.
"Cardin, I thought you said they were weak, and we saw all their moves?" Russel questioned, standing back to back with his Team Leader.
"Shut the fuck up Russel, we can still win this. They're just a bimbo and an animal." Cardin stated.
Blake and Yang glared at Cardin, as he'd said something so insulting. Both of them taking on a runners start, they looked at one another, intending on executing a combo move they'd been working on together since Galuna Island.
"Purgatory Dragon…"
"Shadow Demon…"
Both Huntresses bodies were alight with magical energy, as they took off running, their magics coursing through their bodies as they zipped around Cardin and Russel.
"What are they doing Cardin?" Russel asked.
"I don't know, some sort of speed magic?" Cardin said. "They're probably buying time to figure out a strategy on how to beat us."
"Enough with your high and mighty ego dude. They're obviously stronger then we thought. They already beat half our team and…"
"Double Hammer!" Yang and Blake shouted, as yang slammed her fist into Cardin's face, and Blake hit Russel with a double kick to the chest, slamming them into one another, while shattering their auras.
(End Song…)
With no more strength in their bodies, Cardin and Russel fell to the ground. Russel was completely unconscious, while Cardin was barely holding onto the waking world.
"Not bad, for our first time using that move in a real fight." Blake said, as she and Yang stepped up to one another.
"Wish we'd been a little stronger though." Yang said. "I don't think they've suffered nearly enough for what they did to Team Shadow Gear, and Ruby."
"Yang, Blake."
The girls looked to who had called their names, and saw Raion racing towards them, Makarov in his hands.
"Follow me, now!" Raion stated. "An' bring Winchester. I need to have a word with him."
Blake and Yang followed Raions orders, and dragged Cardin with them as they ran through the chaos of the battle field. Eventually, they managed to make it to where a familiar salmon haired Dragonslayer was fighting.
"Natsu, we've got to go now!" Raion exclaimed.
"Raion? What happened to gramps?" Natsu asked.
"Master Makarov is injured. He took a powerful draining spell for me, and now all his magic has been drained. We have to regroup and come up with a plan immediately." Raion stated, running off to look for Erza. "Erza."
"Raion, what's going on?" Erza inquired.
"We need to get going, Master needs help, or he won't make it." Raion stated.
"Everybody fall back." Erza shouted taking Makarov into her arms. "We need to regroup."
"What? Erza, we can beat them, we've got them on the run." Grey said, before Erza took one of his hands.
"Please Grey, Master is down, and he needs medical attention." Erza begged getting Grey to agree as Raion went back to talk with Natsu, who was standing next to Yang, Blake, and the barely conscious Cardin.
"Hey Natsu stick near Erza and the Master, make sure Yang and Blake evacuate with everyone else. I'm gonna get Winchester here to tell me where Phantom Lords main guildhall is located!" Raion exclaimed.
"Why?"
"They kidnapped Lucy and Weiss, and are holding them hostage." Raion stated.
"Alright. But what are you gonna do once you find them?" Natsu asked.
"I'm gonna get Lucy, and my Kōhai back, no matter what." Raion stated taking Cardin from Yang, and lifting him up by his shirt.
"The hell do you want?" Cardin questioned, before he went bug eyed, as he saw Raion's eyes glowing red, and could feel the heat coming off them, as he was brought face to face with the hybrid teen.
"Tell me where Phantom's main Guildhall is." Raion stated. "Do it fast enough, and I may spare your miserable life."
~Phantom Tower~
Lucy's eyes opened slowly, her head throbbing as if she had just gotten the worst hangover of her life. She instantly got up on her knees as she noticed a centipede crawling on her, before she notice her arms were tied behind her back, as she realized she wasn't anywhere she recognized. Looking to her side, she saw Weiss sitting on her own knees, and looking away from her in shame.
"What the? How did we get here?" Lucy questioned.
"I brought you here." Weiss said.
"Why would you do that?" Lucy asked.
"I didn't do it on purpose." Weiss stated. "It was all because of that stupid bell."
"Wait that's right. Sol said something about a bell." Lucy said. "What's the deal with that bell anyways?"
"It's… something my father did." Weiss said. "Ever since I was little, I'd been going through this, special training. It involved magic, and messing with my brain. I later learned that it wasn't training at all, it was brainwashing magic."
"What? But that kind of magic is illegal in Fiore and the Four Kingdoms." Lucy said. "It's been outlawed ever since the Great Guild Wars ended."
"I know, and the fact that they're using that bell, means my father is playing a part in all this." Weiss said.
"What makes you say that?" Lucy asked.
"Not just any bell will work." Weiss said. "The bell my father conditioned me to obey, is specific. He made multiple with the exact same shape, size, and design in case one of them got destroyed. He obviously gave one to Phantom Lord."
"Not even my father, would stood so low as to do something like that to me." Lucy said.
"It gets worse." Weiss said, a tear coming to her eyes. "He didn't start conditioning me like this, until after Winter expressed her desires to join the Atlas Military, it had been her dream for as long as I could remember, so once she made sure father knew her desires, expressly, he started putting me through that conditioning. It's one of the things that drove mother to being an alcoholic. An' every time he'd use the bell, he's make me repress the memories of my conditioning, but Sol and Juvia didn't do that. So I remember everything now."
"Weiss." Lucy said, sounding saddened. "I am so sorry, for what that monster of a father did to you."
The emotional moment was interrupted, when the door to their cell opened up and Jose came in, with bruises on his neck, shaped like a hand.
"So you're finally awake. I was getting worried about you Lucy." Jose said, looking right at her.
"Who are you?" Lucy asked, turning to him.
"That's Master Jose Porla of the Phantom Lord Guild." Weiss stated.
"A pleasure to see you again Ms. Schnee." Jose smiled.
"You're Phantom Lords Master?" Lucy shouted.
"I'd like to apologize for this dingy cell, and being tied up must be degrading for you both. But I'm afraid I had no choice my dear. That is how you treat a prisoner after all." Jose apologized.
"You're the jerks who attacked my friends Levy and Ruby." Lucy shouted. "You'd better let me go. My friends are gonna come looking for me."
"I know. I just got the most spine chilling threat from that self proclaimed God of War." Jose said. "Well, so be it. But I have another offer, just for you. Depending on your cooperation, I could treat you as our esteemed guests rather than lowly prisoners."
"What do you mean?" Lucy asked before another centipede landed on her face from the ceiling. "Ew, yuck it crawled on me." She cried out, before Weiss kicked the bug off, and stomped on it with her boot.
"See, you don't want to stay in here do you? I have a lovely penthouse suite waiting for you if you promise to behave." Jose said.
"Why does your guild keep attacking us?" Lucy questioned. "I know Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord have had bad blood since before the Great Guild Wars, but destroying our Guildhall is just low."
"Who is 'us'? Oh I'm sorry, are you talking about Fairy Tail? It was a means to an end, that's all." Jose smiled.
"What?"
"Then why attack Ruby, and Team Shadow Gear?" Weiss questioned.
"You see, we were working towards our main objective of acquiring a couple of certain some ones. They happened to be members of Fairy Tail, so if we have to destroy the guild to get ahold of them, so be it." Jose stated.
"Who are you talking about?" Lucy asked.
"Oh, my, my, you're such a naïve young lady. Not at all what I'd expect from a debutante. I'm talking about you of course. Lady Lucy, the privileged daughter of the wealthy Heartfilia Family." Jose explained.
"But… how did you find out about that?" Lucy asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Weiss asked. "Your father is behind this whole mess as well. He hired Phantom Lord to bring you back to him from Fairy Tail. But I don't understand why my father would be involved in this as well."
"You know, I'm surprised you never told your fellow guild members the truth, and I don't understand why the daughter of a wealthy tycoon would stoop to such cheap and dangerous work, as wizarding for such a low-class guild, do you?" Jose inquired. "I'm certain they would have accepted you, given Ms. Schnee is part of their Guild, even if it is by wrongful means of following someone else's lead."
"Is what Weiss said true, were you hired by my father, or have I been kidnapped?" Lucy asked, fearing the worst while still glaring angrily at him.
"No my dear, I promise it's not like that. We're not looking for ransom money from either of your families, we're just doing our job. Yes, what Ms. Schnee said is the truth, we were simply hired by both your fathers, yours wants you home Ms. Heartfilia." Jose stated. "Ms. Schnee, your father's just wanting you to switch over to a proper Guild, rather then remaining in one filled with vulgar ruffians such as Fairy Tail."
Lucy gasped at this knowledge. "No. I don't understand. Why would he want me back?"
"Why do you seem so confused? Any father would go looking for a daughter who ran away from home." Jose smiled, before looking to Weiss, who only growled at him. "An' as I said Ms. Schnee, your father's just wanting to make sure you end up, in the same Guild he was in as a young man. He was quite the Huntsman before he married into the Schnee family."
"But why attack Ruby and Team Shadow Gear?" Weiss asked. "Why hospitalize them?"
"It was merely a precaution your father wanted us to settle." Jose said. "When the current leader of a team is taken out, or incapacitated, their partner is named the new leader. That's how it works in the Academy's Hierarchy. Which means, you're now named Team Leader, and you can switch your team over to Phantom Lord."
"You're not serious, are you?" Weiss questioned.
"You only have yourself to blame for this Ms. Schnee. If your bow and apology to that animal hadn't been caught on camera, your father would have left things alone. But it's obvious, those ruffians are poisoning your mind, making you believe that Faunus and Demi's are truly our equals, when in reality, they are nothing more then labor for us to take advantage of and exploit." Jose explained, holding out a transfer sheet. "All this needs is the Team Captains signature to finalize. I'll leave it here for you to read over, make sure everything's squared away." He said, putting it on the ground. "Once you sign that, your father will have us leave Fairy Tail alone, while Ms. Heartfilia's father will be overjoyed to have her back in his arms once again."
"Not him. Honestly I'm shocked he even noticed I was gone. I'm not ever gonna go back to that house! I don't want anything to do with him!" Lucy shouted.
"Oh dear. I should have known you'd be problematic." Jose sighed.
"Well, you might as well just let us go."
"I'm sorry, but I can't do that. Even with that damned pests threat being as menacing as it was, both your fathers are already paying us more than a king's ransom for this job." Jose exclaimed.
"Hmm, well that's too bad." Weiss said, getting to her feet, showing the ropes that had kept her arms tied behind her back, had snapped in certain parts, with chunks of black ice connected to them. "Because we're both leaving, whether you like it, or not." She stated, tearing up the transfer sheet.
"What do you think you're doing?" Jose questioned, as the wind seemed to pick up within the room, with bits of snow flying around. "What's going on?"
"I refuse, to transfer to a Guild that would think so lowly of Faunus and Demi's. I am Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee name and Legacy, and proud member, of the Fairy Tail Guild!" She exclaimed, as her magic flared up strongly, creating gusts of arctic wind, with the inside of the cell turning into a blizzard. "Neither you, nor my father, can control me. It's my duty, to mold the name and legacy of the Schnee family, and I will do it, my way as a Huntress of Fairy Tail."
Jose just looked to Weiss, before reaching into his coat pocket. The instant he pulled out the bell he'd gotten back from Sol, he gasped in pain, as Lucy kicked him in the groin, forcing him to drop the bell, resulting in the mind control tool being crushed and destroyed as Lucy stomped on it.
"Thanks for that Lucy." Weiss said with a smile, freezing Lucy's restraints.
"Anything for an old friend." Lucy smiled, snapping the frozen ropes. "Let's go."
"Wait, hold up." Weiss called out, pulling Lucy back, just before she could jump out the opened door.
"What in the hell?" Lucy questioned.
"I tried to warn you, this cell is at the top of Phantoms tallest tower." Weiss stated.
"So what do we do now?" Lucy asked.
"Nothing." Jose groaned in pain. "There's nothing… you can do, to escape."
Weiss's ears perked up, hearing something whistling in the wind outside, before she looked to Lucy.
"Lucy. I need you to trust me." Weiss said.
"I do trust you, but…"
"We need to go." Weiss stated. "Now!"
Lucy looked at Weiss, understanding what the heiress meant, before they grabbed each others hands, and looked to Jose with a glare.
"This is the part, where you lose." Weiss said.
Without warning, Weiss and Lucy leaned back, both of them closing their eyes, while Jose's widened in horror. The instant Jose ran to try and grab them, both girls were already off the ledge, falling to the ground bellow, just before something came flying through the air, and smashed through the stone of the tower, bellow their cell, knocking it into the air, and sending it, and Jose who was still inside, falling to the ground bellow.
The whistling wind continued to to rush past both girls, before they were both grabbed in a pair of strong, yet gentle arms, and remained air born.
"Really, this was your plan Weiss?" Raion questioned.
Both girls opened their eyes, to see he was holding them close to him, while remaining in the air. He looked like he had dirt and tears in various parts of his hooded shroud, and they were fresh as well.
"I heard you coming. An' knowing you, I knew there was a good chance that you'd knock the tower over. I also knew you would be fast enough to catch the both of us before we'd hit the ground." Weiss said.
"You really had your Sempai worried there for a second." Raion said. "I'm just glad I was able to catch you both."
"Glad you did." Lucy said, before her face broke down into one of sadness, and she began to tear up.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Raion asked. "Jose and his men didn't do anything perverted to you did they?"
"No Raion, it's a bit more complicated then that." Weiss said. "An' it's something that's best left to be told to everyone at the Guild. This whole thing, started because of the two of us."
"I don't know what you mean by that, but I trust your judgement. So let's get back to the guild." Raion said, before flying away, coming to a decision in his mind.
~Schnee Manor~
"I see." Jacques said, walking through the hall of his mansion, while talking on the Scroll with one of the Phantom Lord Guild Members. "So Jose failed to keep my daughter rebellious in line, did he? What about the wreckage…? He survived, that's good at least. He wouldn't have been my rival during our time in the Guild if he could be taken down so easily… Catatonic huh? That's to be expected, despite what I said earlier, it is a miracle he was able to survive a fall from that height, surrounded by at least a metric ton of bricks and mortar."
Jacques turned, and entered his office, making sure it was locked behind him, before he marched up to his desk. Pressing a button underneath, Jacques continued to talk to whoever was on the other line, while holding off on flipping the switch that was next to the button.
"No, no. No need for that. I expect a full refund for the failure." Jacques said in an annoyed tone. "I will be there, within the hour."
Before whoever Jacques was talking to, could question what he meant, he hung up on the call, and flipped the switch next to the button, scrambling any spyware signals that could visually, or audibly record his voice.
"Oh Weiss, why are you making this so difficult for me?" Jacques questioned, holding up a pamphlet with a picture of his son on the front. "Do you not care, that your brother is gone? I just with you would see things that are my way, are the right way. Phantom Lord's seriously lost its touch, no wonder Fairy Tail stole the top spot from them."
Pressing a button on his in office landline, the giant painting of Jacques opened up down the middle like a pair of split doors, revealing it was a hidden chamber inside, with something under a spotlight.
"Fine then." He stated, stepping into the vault, and removing the Corinthian helmet from the manikin in front of him, looking into its reflection. "I'll do it, myself."
