Disclaimer: I don't own the 2004 animated film Shark Tale and all rights goes to DreamWorks Animation SKG. Shark Tale has been one of my favorite movies since my childhood, and it still is today. I've enjoyed that movie many times since I was a kid, and I still enjoy it today. Since I love the movie so much, I decided to a story about it called Attack Of The Silky Shark Mafia which is the sequel to the whole retelling of the movie that is called When A Little Fish Tells A Great White Lie with new characters, new scenes, and different dialogue, and my OC belongs to me. Attack Of The Silky Shark Mafia
Chapter 16: It Can Be Possible
Back at Southside Reef during the evening, the employees of the Whale Wash of Southside Reef such as the fish employees, the tongue scrubbers, the members of the dental squad, the crab employees, the electric eel employees, the flounder employees, the sea otter employees, and the sea turtle employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, and the six Shorties and the mafias of the Five Families such as the great white shark mafia, the leopard shark mafia, the hammerhead shark mafia, the killer whale mafia, and the swordfish mafia are continuing to work together to fight off the silky shark mafia in order to save Southside Reef from them, and they've spent all day fighting them off.
Soon, since they've been fighting off the silky shark mafia so they could save the reef, they end up getting very exhausted so quickly in the process, and it caused the Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, and the six Shorties to stop using the cleaning supplies they've been using to fight them off and the Five Families to stop using their combat skills to fight them off while the citizens of the reef became filled with surprise. The silky shark mafia also became surprised upon noticing they become very exhausted from the fight, and they all quickly decide to take advantage of their own exhaustion by restraining them by tying up the Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, and the six Shorties in some seaweed and pinning the members of the Five Families on the streets.
Upon seeing the Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, and the six Shorties and the Five Families get tied up by the silky shark mobsters and the Five Families get pinned down by the silky shark mobsters, the citizens of Southside Reef quickly decides to help them out since they have been inspired by their intentions to rescue the reef and already know that even though fish would usually be afraid of sharks as well as killer whales and swordfish, some of them are actually willing to fight them off when they needed to, and they really must help them out no matter what just as they all became very brave. The citizens then began using various objects to fight off the silky shark mobsters in order to help them such as brooms, mops, hoses, baseball bats, tennis rackets, golf clubs, pots, pans, and pillows, and even Mrs. Sanchez hits some of the silky shark mobsters with her purse.
Just as the citizens of Southside Reef are helping the Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, and the six Shorties by fighting the silky shark mobsters by using the various objects, Oscar, Angie, Nelson, Sabrina, Lenny, Teresa, Crystal, Ulrich, Hannah, and Quincy suddenly arrives back at the reef and notices everything that is going on right now in some of the neighborhoods in the reef along with the reformed Pavel and Rimma, and they arrive at one of the neighborhoods of the reef where they told everybody to stop fighting and proceeds to carry out the idea of reasoning with the silky shark mafia and getting them to understand that fish and sharks can make peace with each other with the help of Pavel and Rimma who have managed to redeem themselves., much to the surprise of everybody, including the silky shark mobsters.
Oscar explains to the silky shark mobsters about how he quickly became best friends with Lenny and Teresa when he first met them and how he got to know them better as well as accepting Lenny's vegetarian lifestyle and learning about how not all sharks are cold-blooded killers and some of them in the ocean are friendly just like him and Teresa, and Lenny explains to the silky shark mobsters about what actually led Don Lino and his great white shark mafia as well as the rest of the Five Families to make peace with the citizens of the reef is when Don Lino realized that he has been screwing up by judging Lenny for who he is and finally accepted him for who he is. Upon hearing what they've explained to them, the silky shark mafia became very amazed by how everything has actually turned out, and they've quickly become convinced that fish and sharks can bury the hatchet after all while Oscar and the others became very delighted by their redemption and everybody else did as well.
After the silky shark mobsters redeemed themselves, they free Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, the six Shorties, and the citizens of Southside Reef from the seaweed they tied them up in and stop pinning down the great white shark mobsters, the leopard shark mobsters, the hammerhead shark mobsters, the killer whale mobsters, and the swordfish mobsters on the streets while they apologize to them for everything that they did and mend their friendship with the great white shark mafia as well as the other mafias of the Five Families since they've always been best friends with them, and they also explain everything to the other silky shark mobsters in the other neighborhoods which caused them to also redeem themselves and stop their attacks on the neighborhoods in the reef.
While the silky shark mobsters are redeeming themselves and make amends with the Whale Wash employees as well as Ernie and Bernie, Crazy Joe, Horace and the shrimp, the six Shorties, the citizens of Southside Reef, and the great white shark mobsters and the other mobsters of the Five Families for what they did, Oscar, Angie, Nelson, Sabrina, Lenny, Teresa, Crystal, Ulrich, Hannah, and Quincy then head to the Whale Wash of Southside Reef along with Pavel and Rimma so they could do the same thing. At the Whale Wash of Southside Reef, some of the Whale Wash employees as well as Joyce, Reuben, and Frieda and some of the mobsters of the Five Families are continuing to fight the silky shark mobsters who are attempting to commit arson on it by spilling oil all over it and they are still working together to prevent them from doing so while they began to feel very exhausted in doing so since they've spent all day fighting them off.
Just as the fight continues in the Whale Wash, Oscar and the others arrive along with Pavel and Rimma, and they all inform them that they don't actually have to fight each other and proceed to convince the silky shark mobsters that fish and sharks can make a truce by informing them about how Oscar first met Lenny and Teresa and quickly became friends with them and how Lenny and Teresa's father Don Lino and his great white shark mafia as well as the rest of the Five Families had decided to make peace with the citizens of Southside Reef when he realized that trying to force Lenny to be a killer just like the other sharks was a huge mistake and realized that not all sharks in the ocean are vicious and some of them are gentle.
The silky shark mobsters became very amazed by what Oscar and the others explained to them, and they all quickly redeem themselves and apologize to the Whale Wash employees as well as Joyce, Reuben, and Frieda and the Five Families mobsters for their actions just as they stop attacking the Whale Wash and stop committing oil spill arson on it, much to the delight of Oscar and the others as well as Pavel and Rimma who have already managed to redeem themselves upon hearing their explanation of everything from six months ago. While everything is being patched up at the Whale Wash and the fight has ended due to reasoning with the silky shark mobsters with success, Oscar and the others then head right towards the RMS Titanic so the redemption of the whole silky shark mafia would be complete and Southside Reef would be safe from them.
At the RMS Titanic, Don Borovsky, his wife Praskovya, his two henchmen Deirdre and Isaac, and the rest of the members of his silky shark mafia are now at the deck and they've taken Don Lino, his wife Mildred, his parents Leonardo and Shelly, his two henchmen Luca and Yvette, Sykes, Crystal and Ulrich's parents George and Heidi, and the other crime bosses of the Five Families Don Feinberg, Don Veltroni, Don Salvatore, and Don Hicks have been taken hostage by them while the members of great white shark, the members of the leopard shark mafia, the members of the killer whale mafia, and the members of the swordfish mafia get restrained by the silky shark mafia, and Don Borovsky threatens to have the members of his mafia destroy the RMS Titanic by using oil spill arson unless he agrees to sign a contract for the rights of being the Don of Southside Reef as well as being in charge of the rest of the Five Families over to him and he even expects him to admit that fish and sharks making a truce is such a ridiculous idea since he strongly disapproves of it.
"Don Lino, since the members of my silky shark mafia have taken over Southside Reef, it's time for you and your great white shark mafia to surrender." saidDon Borovsky. He shows the contract to Don Lino and offers him a pen. "Sign here and the reef will be run by the silky shark mafia from now on, and that we'll be in charge of the other mafias of the Five Families which are the leopard sharks, the hammerhead sharks, the killer whales, and the swordfish."
"That's not gonna happen, Don Borovsky! So you can forget all about it!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Hand over everything to me and my mafia or else!" exclaimed Don Borovsky.
"Or else what?!" asked Don Lino.
"Or your home the RMS Titanic will be wrecked by spilling oil all over it!" exclaimed Don Borovsky.
"You wouldn't dare!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Oh, I would! We'll have this whole place tainted if you don't give us the rights to run this reef and to be in charge of the Five Families! " exclaimed Don Borovsky.
"I already told ya! No way!" exclaimed Don Lino.
"Alright then. If that's how you want it to be. The RMS Titanic shall be ruined in the massive oil spill." said Don Borovsky. " Oh, and after the RMS Titanic is destroyed, we'll have Oscar, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina as the next catch of the day and probably have your son and daughter tortured just like we've tortured so many fish and other sea creatures for so long."
Don Lino gasped in complete shock. "I can't let you do those things to my kids and their friends, Vladimir! And I won't! None of us won't let you do it!"
"If you really care about them and really care about their safety so much, then sign the contract and make me and my mafia the new head of Southside Reef. Right now." said Don Borovsky.
Don Lino sighed in complete dismay. "Alright. You and your mafia now run Southside Reef and are in charge of the Five Families. I... I... I surrender..."
"What?! Edward, please! Don't do this! Please don't!" exclaimed Mildred.
"Lino, you don't have to throw away everything for the silky sharks!" exclaimed Sykes.
"Please don't give it all up for this whole thing, Boss!" exclaimed Luca.
"Don't surrender to the silky shark mafia!" exclaimed Yvette.
"I'm so sorry everybody, but I love my family more than anything and I strongly care about the well-being of others so much." replied Don Lino. "Gimme the contract and I'll sign everything over to you, and to have Lenny, Teresa, and their friends Oscar, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina be spared from harm."
"I knew you would acknowledge that the reign of the great white shark mafia over Southside Reef will eventually come to an end and the reign of the silky shark mafia over this reef will begin," said Don Borovsky. "Also, once we're in power while we'll continue to run Northside Reef, you'll eventually see that the idea of fish and sharks getting along with each other is so ridiculous and you and your mafia had made a mistake in doing so."
"What you just said is absolutely wrong, Borovsky!" a peculiar voice called out.
"Yeah, and don't sign the contract, Pop!" another peculiar voice called out.
Everybody on the deck of the RMS Titanic noticed Oscar, Angie, Nelson, Sabrina, Lenny, Teresa, Crystal, and Ulrich suddenly arrived along with the reformed Pavel and Rimma, and they became very surprised upon witnessing their arrival while Sykes, Don Lino, Mildred, Luca, Yvette, Leonardo and Shelly, George and Heidi, and the other crime bosses became very delighted that they're safe and the rescue mission has been successful and Don Borovsky, Praskovya, Deirdre, Isaac, and the silky shark mobsters became very surprised and shocked that they've managed to escape from imprisonment and that Pavel and Rimma are with them.
Once the group has arrived at the deck of the RMS Titanic, they proceed to attempt to convince Don Borovsky and his mafia that fish and sharks can make peace with each other by telling them what else exactly happened six months ago and getting them to understand that fish and sharks getting along with each other can be possible and it was good for everybody in Southside Reef.
"Oscar, Angie, Nelson, and Sabrina," said Sykes.
"Lenny," said Don Lino.
"Teresa," said Mildred.
"Crystal," said George.
"Ulrich," said Heidi.
"All of you are okay," said Luca.
"Oh, thank goodness." said Yvette.
"What? But how did you escape from the RMS Republic?" asked Don Borovsky. "Pavel and Rimma were supposed to make sure you remain imprisoned there so we'll be able to invade Southside Reef and overthrow the great white shark mafia."
"Yeah, but that was until they decided to set us free," said Oscar.
"They allowed you to go free? How could they do it?" asked Don Borovsky. "They betrayed the silky shark mafia and their own family. Especially their own father."
"Pavel and Rimma didn't betray anybody, and they've just realized that is very important, that's all." said Lenny.
"What is something so important that made them let you go?" asked Don Borovsky.
"They've realized that fish and sharks can bury the hatchet." said Angie.
"But why would they think so? It's downright foolish." replied Don Borovsky.
"Well, actually Borovsky, they don't think so anymore." said Teresa.
"And even most of your mafia don't think so anymore either. " said Nelson.
"Most of them are now seeing it as such a good idea." said Sabrina
"That's unbelievable, and there's no way fish and sharks can be friends," said Don Borovsky.
"What you just said about fish and sharks making a truce is absolutely wrong." said Crystal.
"Fish and sharks can actually make peace with each other," said Ulrich.
"Borovsky, you need to understand that it can be possible," said Hannah.
"Also, you really need to hear all of this," said Quincy.
"Oscar, Lenny, can you do the honors?" asked Angie.
"Can you explain everything to him and his mafia, please?" asked Teresa.
"Alright. So, Borovsky, we all already know you're strongly against the idea of fish and sharks burying the hatchet, but it's actually a good idea." said Oscar. "How it actually turned out to be a good idea is when I first met Lino's son and daughter and help them find a place to stay at after they ran away from their home due to having a strained relationship with their father, and I got to know them better when they informed me that Lenny is a vegetarian who eats fruits and vegetables as well as meatless products and not all sharks in the ocean are killers and some of them are gentle just like him and Teresa."
"That's right, and in case you've been wondering how Pop, his mafia, and the rest of the Five Families had a change of heart, it was because he learned from his mistakes just like Oscar learned from his mistakes." said Lenny. "He always expected me to be aggressive and savage just like Frankie who has sadly passed away and the other sharks, but he realized that he should just accept me for who I am just like Teresa, Mom, Oscar, and everybody else did and he did accepted me which is a good thing since everybody is just themselves. He managed to understand that I am just my own person, and that is what led him to make peace with everybody in Southside Reef."
Don Borovsky gasped incomplete surprise. "Wait a minute. Is what you're saying to me true?"
"Yeah, and it's very true, Borovsky." said Lenny.
"That's exactly what happened six months ago," said Oscar. "It's the main cause of the fish and sharks making a truce besides me doing the right thing and telling everybody the truth that I was never actually a Sharkslayer in the first place and I was only pretending to be a hero who slays sharks so I could finally be a somebody and get respect from others after what I've been through when I used to be a little kid."
"Mmm-hmm, and Oscar really learned his lesson big time when he became nothing but a big fake even though the truth hurts." said Angie.
"Daddy really learned his lesson when he had always wanted Lenny to be just like Frankie and the other sharks, and he learned that the hard way as well." said Teresa.
"But...But...But I didn't know those parts at all. Neither my mafia knew those things. We never even did until now." said Don Borovsky. He then turned to Don Lino. "Edward, why didn't you tell me and my mafia about your son and daughter's friendship with Oscar and how you and your mafia decided to bury the hatchet with everybody in Southside Reef when you realized that Lenny is already perfect just the way he is?"
"'Cause I tried to tell you then when I explained what exactly happened to you six months ago, but you wouldn't listen to me," said Don Lino. "I only told you about my mafia and I decided to have a change of heart and make peace with Southside Reef after the truth about the Sharkslayer being a fraud has been revealed and that he only took credit for killing my oldest son Frankie so he could gain fame which was actually a huge mistake, and I didn't have the chance to tell you the other things 'cause you were too outraged and disgusted by the idea of fish and sharks getting along with each other to listen."
"Borovsky, please just listen, and you have to listen," said Oscar. "You must understand that it could be possible for fish and sharks to make peace with each other, and that things must change for the better for everybody and it's a good thing that Southside Reef and the Five Families made a truce. Also, the whole idea was all because of me and my idea eventually saved the reef from the Five Families."
"Everybody agreed it's such a good idea already, and we already know that you disapprove of it, but you should understand that it's actually good for the reef and the Five Families." said Lenny. "Also, Hannah and Quincy learned it was a good idea and the others who are also from Northside Reef and are their friends learned it was a good idea as well."
"Oscar made some mistakes and Lino made some mistakes, and you're making some mistakes by being against the idea of fish and sharks making peace and trying to take over the reef all because of it." said Angie.
"So, don't make the same mistakes Oscar did and Daddy did, Borovsky." said Teresa. "Both of them learned from their mistakes, and it's best that you should do the same before you end up making the whole thing much worse if you continue to disapprove of the truce of fish and sharks, and even Pavel, Rimma, and most of your mafia has learned from their mistakes already when they realized that fish and sharks can be friends."
"Well, what do you say?" asked Oscar.
"Will you understand if it is possible for fish and sharks to bury the hatchet?" asked Lenny.
Don Borovsky then began thinking about the idea for fish and sharks making peace with each other for a moment just as he stared at Oscar, Angie, Nelson, Sabrina, Lenny, Teresa, Crystal, Ulrich, Hannah, and Quincy along with his twin son and daughter Pavel and Rimma, stared at Don Lino, Mildred, Sykes, Luca, and Yvette as well as everybody else, and the contract for a moment. He continues thinking about it and he eventually realized that it can be possible for fish and sharks to get along with each other just as he began to see the error of his ways and learn from his mistakes while he began shedding tears, and once he did so, he decided to call off the whole invasion plot and rips up the contract and he regrets his own actions just as he begins reconciling with Don Lino and repairs his estranged friendship with him while he apologizes to everybody and even his wife Praskovya, his two minions Deirdre and Isaac, and the rest of the members of the mafia began to regret their actions as well.
"I'm...I'm...I'm so sorry for everything that my mafia and I did." apologized Don Borovsky. "We've always been against the idea of fish and sharks making peace with each other and thought they could never be friends, but we didn't know what eventually helped lead to that point since we wouldn't listen to it. You're right, things must change for the better around here in this reef and it's actually possible for fish and sharks to be friends after all."
"We're all so glad that you and your mafia have managed to realize it." said Oscar.
"We're glad that you've realized your mistakes and learned from them," said Lenny.
"Can you guys ever forgive us for everything?" asked Don Borovsky.
"Of course, and we accept your apology." said Angie.
"It's a good thing that you've made the right choice," said Teresa.
Don Borovsky smiled and turned back to Don Lino. "My mafia and I really screwed up big time by planning to take over the reef that you and your mafia has been running for so many years all because we've disapprove of fish and sharks burying the hatchet, and most of all, what we did nearly ruined the friendship we had together ever since we've first met. Even though we did all of those things, I still enjoy being best friends with you and I don't want to stop being friends, especially all of this."
"Vladimir, I still enjoyed being best friends with you and I didn't want to lose it as much as you do." said Don Lino. "You and your mafia almost took over Southside Reef and overthrew us all because we've made peace with the reef along with the rest of the Five Families without even getting the chance to notice what actually caused it to be so. What you did really almost ruined our friendship, and we've been best friends for so long. Honestly, when this whole thing started, I really didn't want to fight my own best friend."
"And I honestly have been wondering if we could still be best friends right after six months ago until I now understand that it's actually a good idea and it's good for everybody." said Don Borovsky. "So, Edward...are we still best friends?"
"Yes, and we will always be best friends no matter what." said Don Lino.
"I'm so happy to hear that, and I promise that things will be better from now on." replied Don Borovsky. "Both Southside Reef and Northside Reef, and my mafia and I will make a truce with everybody in Northside Reef while the truce of Southside Reef and the Five Families will continue since it's a good thing."
"What a good idea, and I'm so proud you've made that choice. We all are."
Don Lino and Don Borovsky smiled at each other just as they reconciled with each other and repaired their close friendship with each other, and they warmly embraced each other while Oscar, the others, and everybody else watched them reconcile in complete amazement. Also, everybody is very delighted that Don Borovsky and his silky shark mafia has been managed to be convinced that fish and sharks making peace with each other was actually a good idea and finally understands that it can be possible for them to be friends which eventually lead to their own redemption, and since they've all managed to redeem themselves in the process after learning what exactly lead to the Southside Reef and the Five Families burying the hatchet six months ago, Southside Reef has been saved from the silky shark mafia invasion.
