Truth's Unveiled Plot's Unraveled
Goku, Oolong and Bulma were now driving through a forest of massive mushrooms as tall as trees. Bulma read the Dragon Radar as they began to approach one last Dragon Ball that was far off in the distance. Suddenly out of nowhere their car is hit by a rocket which throws everyone out of the car leaving it in pieces. Goku, stunned by the blast, says in a shaky voice, "Yow! Th-that was scary." Before he can properly react to the situation a circular robot with four thin legs drops down next to the remains of their car and starts rummaging through their stuff.
Goku yells out, "What the, Who the…?" Goku doesn't know how to respond to the robot since it's the first one he's ever seen. The robot opens a suitcase and yells, "Eureka!" It then closes the suitcase, turns around and gloats to Goku's group, "Thanks for the Dragon Balls, Chump!" It then flies off before Goku can even question what he should do. Bulma immediately yelled at Goku, "Hurry up and catch him Goku, he has our Dragon Balls!" Without missing a beat Goku calls down the nimbus and flies after the robot. Down below the mushrooms Sasuke sits and waits until Goku gets into view. Sasuke stares at Goku on his cloud and then jumps out into the open while forming several hand signs, he says to himself, "You can't dodge it this time." He then yelled out, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" Suddenly he fires off a massive fireball from his mouth which Goku has no time to dodge. Goku is hit full on with the explosion destroying the Nimbus. Goku is stunned by the blast but manages to twirl around in midair getting the fire off of him.
By the time Goku recovered he was low enough to the mushrooms for five Shadow Clones of Naruto to jump him from behind and hit him with a barrage of punches and kicks. Before they hit the ground each clone, aside from the original, grabs one of Goku's limbs while the original body slams Goku into the ground. At this point Goku has recovered enough to muster enough strength to slam one clone into the others knocking them off of him. However, the second Goku got up he was suddenly hit by a barrage of blows from behind, it was Yamcha. He delivered several blows to Goku's back before launching him with a double palm strike which sent him flying forward. Before Goku can do anything however Sasuke appears behind him and dropkicks him into the ground before Naruto summons more Shadow Clones which grab all of his available limbs pinning him to the ground. Goku doesn't have a chance to fight back this time as Yamcha appears above him and grabs his tail immediately, squeezing it.
Goku feels his strength slipping and to Sasuke and Naruto's surprise Goku is indeed getting weaker. They let go of him and watch as he remains motionless only offering the slightest of resistance. Naruto and Sasuke couldn't believe what they were seeing, Sasuke said, "This whole time we could have just grabbed his tail and we would have won. If I knew that then I could have beaten him the first time without even throwing a single punch." Naruto scratched the back of his head and sheepishly said, "I'm still wrapping my head around the fact his tail is real, I thought you were just dizzy from the beating he gave you." Sasuke bit back, "You didn't fare much better, moron."
Sasuke thought on it for a moment and then said, "Still it's weird that he has a tail, I can't think of any family that grew up with one." Yamcha then hit the back of Goku's head knocking him out. He said, "Finished, now you two better send over some clones to take care of his friends." Naruto took the hint and sent his remaining Shadow Clones to grab Bulma and Oolong who didn't put up much of a fight. After an hour's trek they made it back to a campsite Naruto and Sasuke made before setting their ambush.
At the time Yamcha was looking at the Dragon Radar Naruto took from Bulma. He thought to himself as he looked at it, "Well that puts a dent in my plans. They didn't have the balls, apparently some robot came out of nowhere and took them. Which is why he was flying out in the open during our ambush." Yamcha frowned and said, "That was way too convenient… Why do I feel like I'm the fool who got tricked?" Oolong and Bulma at this time have their arms and legs tied and forced into a sitting position while Goku is tied to a tree with one Shadow Clone holding his tail in case he tries to escape. Naruto and Sasuke are focused on Goku while Bulma and Oolong watch the interrogation unfold. Goku yells out angrily, "Why did ya' gang up on me, that ain't fair! What did I do to you?" Sasuke ignores Goku's question he says in a commanding tone, "Several days ago, after the fight we had we found our camp trashed. The only person who should have been there was a girl named Sakura and she was missing." Goku immediately says, "A girl?" Naruto starts describing her, "Yeah she's a slim girl with beautiful pink hair, she wears a pink dress."
Sasuke continued, "There are only a few ways someone could have found that camp. They could have stumbled upon it, there could have been someone watching us prior to our fight." Sasuke paused for a moment and finally said, "The only other ways someone could have found it is if someone followed her there or if they found a way to track her. We recently found out that you, just like us, have a Dragon Ball locator." Sasuke pulled out his Dragon Ball Tracker and said, "You are the only people who could have found our camp, what did you do with Sakura?" Goku looked a bit confused which is when Bulma chimed in, "You're barking up the wrong tree, moron!" Sasuke gave her a scowl and said, "What do you mean?" Bulma, unfazed by Sasuke's question says, "We didn't find any camp, Goku found the bag YOU stole at the edge of the forest, behind a tree. Maybe your girl ran off somewhere and got herself captured." She spoke in a condescending tone all the while confounding Sasuke.
He'd never dealt with anyone with this big of an attitude outside of Naruto. Sasuke then said, "She would have been beaten without leaving a struggle." Sasuke looked at Goku and asked, "Where you found the bag, did you see anything that would lead you to believe a fight took place there?" Goku looked confused but after a short moment of thought he said in a plain voice, "Nope, I just found the bag behind a tree." Sasuke thought about it for a moment and spoke in a much calmer voice, "I can't see anyone but you giving her that kind of trouble, not without us having missed anything." Naruto suddenly said, "I looked at every inch of that forest, there's no way we missed anything."
Yamcha suddenly chimed in, "I doubt they're responsible." Naruto and Sasuke looked at Yamcha as he approached them while holding Bulma's Dragon Radar. Bulma immediately yelled out gleefully, "Yamcha!" Yamcha flinched for a moment but then he continued, he said, "Ever since you told me about your mission, I've had my doubts about your employer." Sasuke immediately asked, "What do you mean?" Yamcha replied back with, "The info your employer gave you is shaky at best, trackers inside of artifacts? Them being so important he'd hire ninja to get them back instead of relying on someone closer in the west. It doesn't make sense." Naruto then jumped in with a question, "Why didn't you mention that earlier?" Yamcha rubbed the back of his head while explaining himself, "Truthfully? I was gonna take the balls and leave as soon as I got them but since they didn't have the balls that plan went out the window."
Naruto then asked, "Why are you coming clean now?" Yamcha gave them a serious expression and said, "Because I feel like I'm part of this little scheme your supposed "Collector" set up." Sasuke suddenly said, "You think our employer is responsible, that he might have something to do with Sakura's disappearance?" Yamcha immediately said, "I have no doubt that your employer has been playing every single one of us like a fiddle." Goku immediately asked, "What's a fiddle?" Everyone looked at Goku confused before returning to the conversation at hand.
Sasuke however wasn't buying it he said, "That's impossible, no one would be stupid enough to hire a Shinobi village and then betray them all for a little money. Kidnapping a Genin, reporting false information about the mission, and then leading us around. It's too much trouble just to get money out of it." Bulma then responded, "He'd be perfectly fine with it if he thought he could get away with it." Naruto immediately asked, "Why would he think that?"
Yamcha jumped in saying, "Because the story he told you about getting back some old artifacts is bogus." Everyone's attention was focused on Yamcha as he continued, "I left out one last detail about the balls since it would have complicated our deal." Yamcha then raised his voice slightly and said, "The Dragon Balls aren't some pretty orbs, they're quite literally magical." Bulma blurts out, "You knew?!" Sasuke and Naruto didn't look convinced which is when Goku started talking, "It's true, when you collect all seven Dragon Balls, they will summon the eternal Dragon Shenron. He then grants you a single wish." Bulma then added to what Goku said, "The last guy that got them wished to be king, if your employers believe in them then they could consider crossing your village."
Naruto spoke with astonishment in his voice, "No way!?" Sasuke however said, "That's a big risk to take on objects he doesn't even know have any real power." Yamcha then said, "If his aim was to take over the world then he'd be willing to cross anyone to get them. Even if they did nothing, he could just hide in the west where the laws of the East don't apply." Sasuke considered what he was being told and said out loud, "If he controlled the world, he could just take control of the Leaf." Yamcha then added in more evidence, "Just think about it, would artifacts he lost really find their way on to Fire-mountain?" Bulma then added, "Or wind up in Goku's grandfather's possession all this time?" Sasuke thought for a moment and then bit his lip, he then said, "Damn it, does that mean we've been running in the palm of his hand this whole time?" Suddenly a high voice came out of nowhere and said, "You would be correct, you morons!"
