Brownies

Her new housekeeper, Tony had been living in Angela's house for a little over a month when he presented her with one of her favorite treats. "I made a batch of brownies," Tony said with his most charming grin on Sunday afternoon.
She knew they were supposed to be for the kids, but nothing could stop Angela from rushing to the kitchen for a taste of chocolatey goodness. When she took a bite, her eyes widened as she tasted not only plenty of chocolate but walnuts as well.
"Mona said double fudge with walnuts were your favorite," Tony said, shrugging as if it were no big deal.
Angela nodded, thinking this arrangement may end up working after all. Having a very attractive housekeeper sometimes made her uncomfortable, and that didn't include him interrupting her date or the bathtub incident. Tony' s intentions were always good, but he caused quite a bit of trouble sometimes.
She allowed him to stay more for Jonathan and Samantha's sake than anything else.
But if Tony would bake her double fudge brownies with walnuts, he might be worth it for Angela, too.
"Thank you," she said sincerely, as she finished, fighting the urge to eat another. "They are delicious."
