Rikku waited boredly as Whis's staff took her across universes. After Goku had been sent back to Trunks's time and Vegeta had chewed her out for not using her full god power against him, Bulma had brought out Cell's time machine that she had apparently had on her this whole time to help Trunks return home. Now she was repairing it, and Rikku and Vegeta were both going about their own ways of preparation.

Vegeta was training Trunks, and while Rikku had wanted to train immediately, Whis wasn't in the mood, Vegeta was really grumpy after their last argument and refused, and King Kai wouldn't let her have any food. So she decided to accompany Beerus and Whis to investigate this universe 10 kai in training named Zamasu.

Apparently he was the strongest kai in the multiverse, and that got Rikku excited. She could at least stretch her legs a bit with a brief spar. Accompanying her, Beerus and Whis was Bulla, sitting in a baby carrier worn by Rikku. It felt kinda weird but at least her hands were free. However, Rikku was getting bored. She asked Beerus,

"Are we there yet?"

Beerus, annoyed, replied,

"No."

"Are we there yet?"

"No."

"Are we there ye-"

"I WILL MURDER YO-!!!!"

Before Beerus could finish his death threat, the 3 were suddenly in the 10th universe, the "bubble" around them popping. Rikku initially cheered in delight, but quickly noticed that she was falling to the ground stomach first. Reacting quickly, she flipped around and landed on her back.

As she did so, Zamasu and Gowasu were surprised and confused, having been outside. Beerus and Whis then floated down, and the two kais quickly bowed their heads. Gowasu said,

"Well Well, if it isn't Lord Beerus."

Beerus nonchalantly replied,

"Hi."

Whis, ever more respectful than his Destroyer God/Apprentice, told the older of the two kais,

"It has been far too long, Gowasu."

Gowasu nodded and said to the two higher gods,

"This is my apprentice, the Supreme Kai in training Zamasu."

"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Rikku then walked up to Zamasu, rubbing her butt in pain. Once she stopped, she said eagerly,

"Hi, I'm Rikku! And this is my daughter Bulla!"

Zamasu was shocked at seeing Rikku, thinking to himself,

"A mortal? What's a mortal doing here?"

Rikku then removed Bulla from her baby carrier and held her in front of Zamasu. Cheerfully, Rikku told her daughter,

"Say hi, Bulla!"

Bulla cooed at Zamasu, and the kai in training was disgusted. This mortal was talking so casually to a god, and shoving her offspring in his face no less! This was no way to treat a god! Enraged, he slapped Bulla away and yelled at Rikku,

"Keep your filthy offspring away from me, your mortal curr!"

Bulla began to cry, and quickly Rikku turned to look at her cheek. The cheek where Zamasu had slapped her was bleeding. Zamasu had made her baby bleed. Utterly enraged, Rikku powered up to super saiyan and stared at the kai with ferocity she rarely displayed, actually scaring the kai a little.

Gowasu, shocked at this sudden transformation and burst of power, asked Beerus and Whis,

"What happened?! The mortal transformed!"

Beerus smirked as Whis replied,

"Yes, the form she's taken is called Super saiyan."

Zamasu overheard this and was surprised, while also thinking to himself,

"Her power has increased exponentially."

Rikku then walked over to Beerus, Whis and Gowasu and handed Beerus the still crying Bulla. She then took off her baby carrier and turned to Zamasu, screaming at him,

"You fight me. Right here, RIGHT NOW!!!"

This demand offended Zamasu. He told the angered Rikku,

"You want ME to fight YOU?"

This was the wrong thing to say, as Rikku powered up to super saiyan 2 and charged at him screaming. However, Zamasu took advantage of her blind rage, stopping a jab she threw at him with his hand and using her momentum to stagger her. With her neck exposed, Zamasu prepared to strike her with a chop to it. However, Rikku charged up a ball of energy in her hand and used it to negate the attack.

She then began beating Zamasu, and while she was too blinded by rage to see it, Beerus and Whis noticed something. Beerus asked Whis,

"This sensation…..did you feel that just now?"

"Indeed."

"I think I sensed something like that in that Goku person. It was faint, but certainly there."

Beerus and Whis then refocused on the fight just in time to see Rikku kick Zamasu with the back of her leg. Beerus smirked. Whis's student wasn't half bad. Rikku continued to lay wild blows into Zamasu, letting out an intense and terrifying amount of fury. The kai in training could barely react, let alone fight back. In awe of this, Gowasu asked Beerus and Whis,

"Who is this person?! She's not even a deity, yet her strength rivals a God of destruction's!"

Beerus's eyes narrowed, and he asked Gowasu in a threatening tone,

"Did you just suggest she rivals me?"

Gowasu immediately bowed out of fear and said,

"No, not you! Please forgive me."

As the two talked, Rikku was continuously beating down Zamasu, punches and kicks being fired out at rapid speeds. The kai in training could barely keep up anymore, and as he continued to block the attacks, he thought to himself,

'I never imagined a lowly mortal could be this strong!'

Rikku then landed a hard left hook to Zamasu's face, causing him to fall to his knees. She then punched him into the ground, grabbed his legs, and began smashing him around like a ragdoll. Beerus yelled to his student,

"Hey, hurry up and end it! We don't want you to kill the guy before we get any information! Also your crotch spawn won't stop crying!"

Rikku heard Beerus and quickly tossed Zamasu into the air, then cupping her hands together in a motion she had done at least 1000 times now. Familiar lilac blue ki charged in her palms, and she began the chant.

"Kaaaaaa, meeeeee, haaaaaaa, meeeeee…."

Using a technique she had first used against Cell, Rikku then teleported above Zamasu and fired the blast, screaming,

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

The kamehameha slammed into the kai in training, embedding him into the ground and causing a massive explosion. As the smoke cleared, Rikku hovered to the ground and reverted to her base form. Zamasu was still alive, but unconscious and heavily injured. After shooting him another glare, Rikku walked up to Beerus, Whis and Gowasu, and Beerus handed her Bulla. Gowasu humbly bowed and told the female saiyan,

"My deepest apologies for my student's behavior. He's been very conflicted about mortals as of late, and I have done my best to help him."

RIkku nodded, telling Gowasu,

"It's ok. You don't seem like that bad of a guy."

Rikku then walked away while cradling the still crying Bulla. She couldn't think of how to calm her daughter at first, but then she remembered something. An old lullaby she used to sing to Gohan when he was a baby, and then to Goten during the 10 days that she had him as a baby. It always worked with those two, so there was no reason it wouldn't work here. Rikku smiled, wiping the blood from Bulla's cheek and beginning to sing softly to her.

"Bit by bit I'm falling under your spell, your smile's all I need to see to know we'll, leave this endless darkness saying "Come along with me!" Hold my ha~nd."

She paused a bit as she began to rock Bulla back and forth gently. She then continued singing.

"Back when you first came into my life, I recalled a place that I knew as a child. A special place, one that I held close to my heart.

Won't you lead me in a dance down this winding road, where light and shadow entwine to take hold of the thoughts of the one left far behind?

Know that sometimes, I want, to turn, around and see the things that I've passed on the journey, but know with love on my side, with courage and pride I'll fight; I will carry on.

Bit by bit I'm falling under your charm, you'll keep me and all the world far from harm. Bring hope to everyone, take in your hands eternity.

Even when it seems that I don't need you; just know that I am in love, can't wait to, leave this endless darkness. Won't you come along with me? Hold my ha~nd."

Rikku stopped singing, and sure enough, Bulla was fast asleep in her arms. Rikku giggled to herself and sat down, continuing to rock her daughter back and forth. As she had been singing her lullaby, Beerus and Whis had been talking to Gowasu. Beerus began the conversation right after the beatdown of Zamasu by beckoning Whis, who began explaining,

"Yes sir. We are hoping that you could help us solve a mystery. Recently a troubling individual appeared on universe 7's planet 877 in the heart of 4032 cream, wearing a time ring."

Zamasu, who had just woken up after his beating, thought to himself upon hearing this,

'A time ring? What is that?'

Whis elaborated,

"As if that was not vexing enough, this person was not a supreme kai."

Gowasu was shocked, replying to this statement by saying,

"But that would not be possible!"

Beerus then decided to pipe in by saying,

"And just wait till you hear what his energy felt like. It was practically identical to the woman putting her daughter to sleep over there."

Gowasu looked over and saw Rikku singing her lullaby, and then said to Beerus,

"Well all of that is rather inexplicable isn't it?"

Whis agreed, saying,

"It simply doesn't add up."

Beerus had one more thing to add, saying to Gowasu,

"His ki also had tinges of your apprentice's ki."

"Zamasu? But how? He doesn't even know about the time rings!"

"Indeed. Tell us, are all of your time rings where they should be right now?"

"Of course, I store them carefully in a very safe location."

"That's good to hear, but would you mind if we checked them out just to be sure?"

"Well, if you insist. Well Zamasu?"

Zamsu walked over to his master and dusted himself off. The kai in training was still in shock from the beating he had received, but replied,

"Yes….master."
