Unwrap
Early season three
Angela sighed, removing her glasses, and putting away the newspaper advertisements. Keeping up with the competition was an important part of her business, especially considering she was trying to make a go at running her own ad agency.
But she'd promised Tony she would eat the lunch he'd packed for her this morning. He'd even made her favorite, chicken salad with double fudge brownies for dessert. So, she picked up her lunch and unwrapped her sandwich.
Angela would have to eat quickly, though, as the weight of what she was doing was overwhelming sometimes. Competing with the biggest advertising agencies in New York? With only Mother helping in the office? What was she doing?
As she reached to unwrap the brownie, a note fell out. "You're the best," was written in Tony's handwriting. A warm feeling flooded Angela's being, and she smiled. Angela knew Tony sometimes wrote the kids motivational notes in their lunches, and she thought it was sweet, but that was nothing compared to finding a note in her own lunch.
How did he know she needed extra encouragement today?
Unwrapping the brownie, Angela suddenly knew she could succeed somehow. Especially as she sunk her teeth into one of her favorite treats.
