Veil
Season Eight, after Tony and Angela's engagement but before Sam married Hank.
"What about this one, Angela?" Samantha fingered a lacy veil which edges were covered with silk roses. This was so exciting, not only were Dad and Angela finally getting married, but Angela had selected Sam to choose her wedding dress and veil.
"I'm afraid that's a bit too busy for me, Sam," Angela said, shaking her head.
Samantha nodded immediately, examining the other veils. Some had roses on the edges but no lace. Others had bows. Still others had lace patterns but no fancy headdresses. In fact, this one might be perfect for what Angela was looking for.
"Oh, Angela, look at this!" she said, joy bursting from her as she pulled out a veil with a tiny lace pattern and no headdress. Sam pictured it on Angela's head as she walked toward Dad, and even more joy exploded.
Angela studied the veil from all angels, checking for imperfections, while Samantha waited impatiently for her to finally agree. "It's the right one, isn't it?" she said after several moments of Angela's scrutiny.
"I suppose it is," Angela said with a wide smile.
Then her pseudo-mother gave her a big hug, and her heart exploded again. She couldn't wait to be a family for real.
