Since the notifications are finally coming back, I've decided to start posting this again. Here's "X."
Season Seven after Angela broke up with Andy but before "Angela and Tony get divorced."
"I've got this new fruit you should all try!" Angela said with a smile, holding out the strange-looking food from Southeast Asia. The produce company she'd been providing with advertising for tomatoes for the past two years had just bought this new fruit, and they needed her to market it.
As usual, Angela started with her family.
Mother studied the fruit from all angles as she came into the living room. "And you want us to eat this?" She made a face of disgust, as if she would rather eat her entire supply of make-up.
"Yes, Mother; I'm trying to sell it to the New York market," Angela said, shaking her head.
Mother studied the fruit again and shook her head. "I'm sorry dear; I'm going out for dinner, and I wouldn't want to ruin my appetite." With that, she left for her apartment.
Tony grinned. "I'm sure I can find a way to put one in a recipe, Angela. Wouldn't it be funny to tell Mona she ate one and didn't know it?"
Angela chuckled at the image, surprising herself at how much she enjoyed laughing with him again.
Until Tony bit into the fruit. "It tastes like, wood, Angela."
But Tony saved the day, creating a recipe with Xylocarp. Even Mother ate it.
