Sonny was interrupted by an object whizzing past him, nicking his suit, and causing him to startle and drop the gun.
Sonny went to reach for the gun as Max and Jason moved to subdue Sonny.
Everyone froze at the click of another gun.
"Don't move another inch," Kellie said, aiming the gun at Sonny, "The knife was your only warning shot."
"This doesn't concern you," Sonny said as Jason kicked Sonny's gun away from him. Max loomed over Sonny as Johnny O' Brien moved from behind Kellie to assist Max. Francis stayed behind Kellie, his gun drawn.
"You're about to shoot my husband and it doesn't concern me," Kellie said as Johnny removed Sonny's other gun from his holster.
"Don't touch me," Sonny said, trying to brush Johnny away unsuccessfully, "And that's not what was going on here. You misinterpreted the situation because you were once again sticking your nose into my business where it doesn't belong."
"I don't think I misinterpreted the situation at all," Kellie said, "However, I'm not going to waste my breathe arguing with whatever story you'll try to tell yourself this time. By the way, if my aim with the knife hit where I intended that suit jacket will probably need to be sewn up. You won't, but the suit will."
"Frank," Sonny yelled, "Get my daughter out of here. Get Dex and Gabe…"
"If your guards come near me or my people," Kellie said, "I won't miss this time. What was it you told Jason that you'd just shoot him in a way to keep him laid up in the hospital?"
"You wouldn't dare," Sonny said as Jason started to get between Kellie and Sonny.
Kellie dropped the gun slightly, "No I wouldn't. You're currently unarmed. Consider yourself fortunate I went for disarming you with a knife rather than risk a warning bullet ricocheting and hitting anyone else."
Jason walked up to Kellie.
"I've got it handled from here," Jason said to her.
"I still have a few things to say to him," Kellie said, "Then he's all yours."
Jason nodded and stepped back.
"Do you want to explain why you've apparently been thinking you were going to make move for the business because you didn't agree with how I was handling things?" Sonny said, "Jason told me."
"It shouldn't shock you if you were actually aware that you'd lost the respect you once commanded," Kellie said, "Someone was going to, whether it was me, Jason, or someone else. You're just going to have to come to terms with that."
"You need to let me explain," Sonny said, "I remember leaving town and why. But it feels strange especially since I don't remember Trent being knocked unconscious. We should probably at least look into that more."
"I don't know why you left town at this point," Kellie replied, "Nor do I care at this point. Because again it looks like you did whatever it is you wanted to do regardless of the consequences or excuses you come up with. That's is right on course with your track record."
"I think you just need to let me explain," Sonny said.
"There's nothing left to explain," Kellie said, "I'm done with the excuses whether you're the one making them or I'm the one making them for you in hopes that we can have a better relationship. I'm no longer willing to twist myself in knots like that anymore. Not when my family's safety is at stake because you refuse take any responsibility for your part in this. At this point, I don't care if Helena Cassadine came back from the dead and forced you to leave town somehow. The damage has been done. You're no longer the head of any family at this point."
"I wouldn't count me out just yet," Sonny said.
"You can try," Kellie said, "But let's take inventory, Selina Wu took over as head of the families and they gave you an ultimatum which you have failed to comply with. Jason now runs the business. If you want to do something with what resources you are walking out of this with, I suggest you forget about trying to force your way back into the families or the business.
"Or else what?" Sonny asked.
"You think your new ventures wouldn't have issues with shipping," Kellie said, "because they will. Not to mention if you continue to make a nuisance of yourself, the other families might take issue with that in a more direct manner."
"Jason, are you going to…." Sonny said, looking to Jason to intervene.
"Jason isn't going to let me do or not do anything," Kellie said, "As far as I'm concerned you're out and you'll toe the line. At very least because you know it's in your best interest at this point. Now if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment to get to."
Kellie swiftly crossed the room to retrieve her knife.
"I'll see you at home," Kellie said as she walked by Jason ignoring Sonny, "Just promise you'll have your guard up with him now."
Jason nodded.
"So this is how it's going to be," Sonny said once Kellie left.
"Do you think I wanted it to go down this way?" Jason said, "What else was I supposed to do? You put me in a hard situation first be not taking care of business, taking off like you did for Niagara Falls. I had to make a decision and make it quick before it was too late. Something you used to understand."
"So you stab me in the back," Sonny said, "Side with my daughter instead of me."
"No, Sonny," Jason said, "I was just trying to protect everyone. If you can't understand that I don't think I have anything left to say right now. Max, see him out."
"Don't bother," Sonny said, storming off.
