Tekkaman Prime
ESKK: Well here we are the 3rd Chapter. I hope you will all enjoy it so let us begin.
(Start Autobot base)
Nick was standing in a scanner room of sort with X-ray, M.R.I, and thermal camera images seen showing every inch of him while he was covered well enough in the southern area. His data was being recorded for the military to look over, while the Autobots, mostly ratchet was scanning the green crystal that Nick uses to transform into Tekkaman, as the med-bot is looking over every detail he could, find anything he can, and do everything he should do while logged in any important information about Radan that he can find out about that he or any other Autobot didn't know about, as no one had ever examine a high rank slave soldier of Radan before or the equipment they use at time how fragile they can be despite how strong they were.
Soon enough as a red light turn to Green with a computer said "Check complete. 100% scan done!" while also showing images of Nick examination. The door open with Nick walking out as he walk over to a card that held a fresh pair of clothing for him to wear due to his last pair were vaporize when he changed into Tekkaman Blade.
The gathered data was being sent over to Fowler as Nick exited the area where his physical was performed. "The composition is unlike anything I've seen before." Ratchet said as he looked over the data gathered on the crystal. "The preliminary scans suggest he is fully human yet with that crystal he is able to accesses such power." Ratchet said as Nick made his way into the room.
As Nick arrived he heard the sound of engines from the tunnel and in turn saw the arrival of Arcee and Bulkhead with their partners. "Bulkhead Arcee where are the others?" Ratchet asked as he was sure the other Autobots went with them to scan for vehicle modes.
"Introducing our newest friends from Cybertron with their brand new wheels." Miko began as no doubt she was trying to make this a big deal which really wasn't. "And here they are people Team Elita!" Miko finished and thus from the entrance tunnel five vehicles were seen driving in. The first was a sleek pink porche 911, next came a cyan Buel Motorcycle much like Arcee bit with the added side car with a red GMC C4500 4x4 Crew Cab TopKick. Following those two up were another cyan blue vehicle an Aston Martin DBS to be precise, and rounding with her was a Ford Gt40.
Just then one by one they transformed into Elita, Chromia, Moonracer, and Firestar who then entered the base. "Welcome back commander." Ratchet said as he greeted Elita as she made her way through the Autobot's secret base.
"Doctor." Elita greeted with a nod as she entered the base.
"We were lucky a car show was in town otherwise we'd been out there longer." Arcee said as she walked with the group. It was to note that Chromia was taller than her fellow two wheeler yet still shorter than their commander Elita.
"Plus with all the extra hands on deck should help us even the odds against the cons and the bugs." Bulkhead as the newly arrived Autobot's had been given the update on Radan on Earth. "Plus Jackie will freak out when he finds out one of the old band is on Earth." Bulkhead said as just then from another room Jetfire and Perceptor walked in.
"I heard my name." Perceptor said as he walked in with Jetfire in tow.
"Hey Chrome dome!" Bulkhead greeted as he put his arm around Perceptor as Nick rolled his eyes to this.
"Nick a moment." Optimus said as he entered the area to look at Nick. "During the battle against the Decepticons you seemed to have lost control and struggled." Optimus said as he looked to Nick. "I have been aware you have been omitting bits and pieces of the truth but if your powers will make you a danger to the native life of this planet then we need to know." Optimus said as he looked to Nick being patient with him and thus Nick growled a bit.
"Fine... truth is I can only use Tekkaman for 30 minutes at a time before the Radan programming starts to take control of me." Nick confessed much to everyone's shock. "If I can't finish a battle in under 30 minutes then... I don't think I'll be human anymore." Nick added to which it held a hint of fear of what could happen because even Nick didn't know what may happen. "I see." Optimus said as he realized that Nick in a way was playing with fire and was also aware of the dangers but was going to throw himself into said fire until his enemy was defeated. "Ironhide." Optimus began getting the weapon specialists attention.
"What's up Prime?" Ironhide greeted as he looked to Optimus.
"As you are aware Jack, Miko, and Raf each have Autobot protectors in the form of Arcee, Bulkhead, and Bumblebee." Optimus began as he looked to Ironhide. "I will need you to act as Nick's guardian both on and off the battlefield." Optimus said as he knew if Nick was in a dire situation or if they need Tekkaman then it's better to have Nick with an Autobot then recklessly sneaking into the battle.
"Don't waste your time, I'm expecting you guys to take me down with everything you got if I exceed the 30 minute limit." Nick said as he was not going to let himself become a mindless monster to Radan.
"While I understand your fears, I will not sacrifice an innocent life if it can be avoided." Optimus said as he looked to Nick showing he was not going to allow Nick to die by any Autobot hands mercy or otherwise. Nick scoffed and thus walked off to be by himself again as Elita walked over to Optimus.
"Well minus the anger issues he reminds me of someone." Elita said as she approached Optimus. "Someone who was given a power he did not want and thus faced with a responsibility he felt ill prepared for." Elita said as she smiled to Optimus. "Though I can see one other human here who reminds me of that same person." Elita added as she gazed over to Jack who was speaking with the new bots.
Nearby Moonracer was gushing over what Raf was showing her as the youngest of the Femme's had quickly grown intrigued by Earth. The people and its culture got Moonracers smile going. The young Femme was similar to Bumblebee in that regard as she smiled over what she saw and asked question after question about it.
"It seems you had not been idle either, Elita." Optimus said as he looked to Elita.
"With your location unknown to us I had to step up as their Prime in a sense." Elita said as she smiled to the Autobots she had lead through space.
"You did well, Elita." Optimus said as he knew Elita did her best for them. "I only wish that I could have..." Optimus trailed off until Elita stopped him.
"Orion it wasn't your fault." Elita said as she looked to Optimus. "None of it was your fault, the explosion at the docks that was Megatron and his Decepticons." Elita began as she remembered the incident that made her into Elita 1. "The battle of the Arc I made my choice I could not let the last hope for Cybertron perish." Elita added and thus Optimus understood her meaning here. But it still did not take away from the guilt he felt for marooning Elita on Cybertron infested with Decepticon's as well as a lifeless husk.
Over with the humans Miko had some questions as did the other humans about the new cons. "So the new cons what's their story?" Miko asked as Nicki was leaning off to the side listening in.
"Bad news the lot of them." Ironhide said as he looked to Miko.
"It's true the Combaticons are powerful but even more so when their together." Arcee began as she knew about them. "Their combiners they can merge together to make one huge bot busting menace." Arcee said as she looked to Miko who heard this.
"How big are we talking?" Raf asked but Arcee wasn't done.
"Don't you guys have your own Combiners?" Jack asked but Elita spoke up.
"We do but their indisposed at the moment." Elita said as she approached the humans. "Right now Computron is busy assisting Victorion in dealing with the Combiners Devastator and Menasor." Elita explained as she looked to the humans. "And even then Victorion and I don't exactly see eye to eye due to conflicting command styles." Elita said as she had a similar problem with Ultra Magnus but they managed to sort it out.
"The Wreckers had their own Combiner but he's MIA." Bulkhead added as he hadn't seen him since Springer went offline.
"Great so the cons have a super con on their side." Miko said as she realized things got difficult for them.
"Still the Combaticons are the least of our worries now that Nightbird has returned to Megatron." Chromia added as she approached the group.
"No kidding." Jetfire added as he knew Nightbird was some major trouble for the Autobots.
"Nigthbird sounds bad." Jack said as he didn't want to think of it.
"In layman's terms Jack, if Megatron is King Con then Nigthbird is Queen Con." Arcee said much to everyone's surprise. "Nightbird is loyal to Megatron and ONLY Megatron the Decepticon Cause means nothing to her and it's through Megatron that she fights for the Cons." Arcee explained as Firestar stepped up.
"And a lot of us figured out it goes beyond loyalty to Megatron after we dug up her past." Firestar said and in turn the humans figured it out.
"Wait are you saying that lady con is." Miko began but Jack cut her off knowing what she would say next.
"In love with Megatron!?" Jack finished as the very concept of ANYONE being in love with that monster was scary.
"I think I'm going to be sick." Raf said as the thought was sickening.
"Then you won't like it when we tell you it's probably mutual." Perceptor said as he looked to the children. "Megatron trained Nightbird himself both of them hailed from Kaon and if anything were to happen to Nightbird Megatron would fly into a rage and the same could be said in reverse. If Megatron was ever snuffed Nightbird would be the next likely leader of the Decepticons." The Wrecker added to which they knew to beat the Decepticons they had to take down both Megatron and Nightbird.
Just then alarms went off and thus Ratchet went to investigate it. "By the Allspark an Iacon Locator Beacon." Ratchet revealed as they Autobots saw it.
"Here but why?" Chromia asked as she looked to the Doctor.
"I do not know." Optimus spoke up as he looked to his team. "But we must retrieve it before the Decepticon's can." Optimus said but Perceptor had more to add.
"There is more it seems the beacon is sitting right atop of exposed energon." Perceptor added much to the groups surprise since this made it a double whammy for them and thus Elita stepped up with Optimus knowing they had to move now.
"Autobots." Both Optimus and Elita spoke and thus stopped to look at each other clearly not expecting that.
"Sorry Orion force of habit on my part." Elita said and thus knew Optimus was back in command.
"No need." Optimus said as he knew this will need to be an adjustment. "Autobots we will divide into teams to maximize our efficiency." Optimus began as he looked to his troops. "Elita, you will lead Chromia, Moonracer, Firestar, and Arcee into battle." Optimus said as Miko was surprised.
"Of course, think you can run with your old team again Arcee?" Elita asked and thus Jack was surprised Arcee used to serve under Elita.
"I can manage." Arcee said and thus Optimus nodded.
"Ironhide you and Jetfire will keep Nick close by as we deploy I fear this may involve Radan." Optimus said as he looked to the two bots.
"Got it, Prime." Ironhide nodded ready to roll.
"Perceptor." Optimus began but Perceptor cut him off.
"With all due respect Optimus I feel my services will be best put to use at the base." Perceptor said as he was the brains behind the Wreckers before he transferred to assist in building the Ark.
"Very well, the rest of you will accompany me. Ratchet Open the Ground Bridge." Optimus ordered and thus Ratchet proceeded to open the bridge. Once the Bridge was opened the Autobots departed in Vehicle mode save for Jetfire who entered in robot mode. Nick was in the passenger seat of Ironhide as Miko was scowling that Nick got to go.
(Back on the Nemesis)
On the bridge Megatron saw Soundwave approaching him to which the Decepticon Leader paid attention to one of his most loyal. "What is it Soundwave?" Megatron asked as he looked to Soundwave. Soundwave then showed an image on his face plate which showed the locator beacon and exposed Energon. "An Iacon Locator Beacon AND an exposed vain of Energon." Megatron began and knew either the Autobots had located it or Radan had done so.
"Lord Megatron." Nightbird was heard as she approached her Lord.
"Ah Nightbird I was about to summon you." Megatron said as he smirked to Nightbird.
"Then I suppose we still know each other quiet well." Nightbird responded as it was no secret her devotion to Megatron was unquestionable. "So I assume you have a task for me?" Nightbird asked as Megatron nodded.
"If you are volunteering then yes, an Exposed vain of Energon and an Iacon Locator Beacon have both been detected on top of each other, I need you to take a squad down and investigate it." Megatron ordered and thus Nightbird nodded.
"As you command Lord Megatron I shall take Slipstream, Shadowstriker, Thunderblast, and the Comabticons for this mission." Nightbird said as she looked to her lord and master.
"As you should I'm sure you're aware that Radan have been sighted on this planet." Megatron said as Nightbird nodded.
"I will make quick work of those insects both the native and the invasive." Nightbird said as she would show no mercy to those who get in her way.
(Back with the Autobots)
At the location where the source of the energon signal was coming from along with the Beacon Bumblebee, Moonracer, and Jetfire were scouting the area and see what was going on and what they could see, it was a Radan activity
The insect like creature were digging up Energon around, some were collecting the already exposed blue crystal while others were digging it up by clawing, smashing, and… acid spit, carefully as they did around the area so they don't accidently set it off and cause a chain reaction explosion.
"Well this is interesting," Moon racer said as she had a rifle out as she look through the scope of it, as she watch the Radan digging up the energon, with Elita-1 voice came up on the coms as she said, "What do you see Moonracer?"
"It's the Radan, and it seem they are mining for energon," Moon racer said as this gotten a reaction out of everyone who was listening.
With Elite group as she was wondering what the Radan were planning as she said, "This doesn't make sense. Radan and energon don't mix. Why are they digging it up?"
"There's something else, as it seem we got a upper soldier here as well," Jetfire voice came up as he soon show the image of … Tekkaman Dagger as Nick saw this from within Ironhide as he look to the monitor as he said, "Dagger."
Dagger was looking well enough, other than the scar that was over his left eye area that Nick/blade had left him in their last battle that he somehow survived as well, but he would make sure to finish him off once and for all this time.
"Friend of yours?" Ironhide said as Nick give a scolding look as he soon said, "Not in the slightest."
"Hey Nick, do you know why the Radan are digging up the energon for?" Arcee ask as she thought the kid would know anything, but Nick shake his head no and said, "I don't. I'm not aware of any plan they may have, as I was only awaken enough during the process of them turning me into a Tekkaman, and all I know is they want to take over everything."
"We must assume the plan they for the energon will be used for something sinister," Optimus said as suddenly Bumble bee started to beep and buzz out like crazy as everyone turn their attention to his point of view to see what he has founded, and to the Autobots it was something as they saw something that was the source of the Iacon Locator Beacon, Cybertronian artifact as Optimus said, "Could it be?"
(Autobot base)
Ratchet and Perceptor were getting an image view as well seeing what was being dug up as Ratchet said, "By the Allspark."
"I can't believe this is here," Perceptor said as he did a scan over the image on screen as the data came up showing a full image of said artifact as he said, "The Skyboom Shield."
(Autobots)
"What's so special about this shield thing?" Bulkhead asked as he wasn't well knowledgeable of every artifact as Optimus soon explain, "The Skyboom Shield was Solus Prime's personal arm that is said to be indestructible and impenetrable that is able to stop any attack that could harm upon the holder."
"It's been also said that in the hands of a Prime, it can be used as a great weapon against their enemies but it has never been confirmed," Ratchet said over the coms as Nick knew if that shield were to ended up in the Radan's hand then no doubt they will try and use it as a weapon of sort, or reverse engineer it and create their own as he said, "We need to grab it before the Radan can take it. IF they take that shield then no doubt they will try to use it for some reason."
"We will retrieve it Nick, but first we need a plan," Optimus said as Jetfire soon said, "I don't think we will have time for that anymore."
"Report what is happening Jetfire." Optimus ordered before suddenly there was sound of explosions and blaster fire as everyone look to see, a squad of Decepticon had come and started to shot at the Radan, as they stop what they were doing and proceed to counter against them as Firestar said, "It seems the Decepticon pick up the signals as well."
"Then we have no choice. Autobots retrieve that shield at all cost, Attack!" Optimus said as he and the others started to charge in, with Elita and her team rolled out as well as they rush into battle in their vehicle mode joining the fight as well with Dagger look and saw them as he said, "They're here, so that would mean he's nearby as well."
(With Nick)
Nick exit Ironhide as he transform into his bot form as Ironhide said, "Do what you need to do kid."
"You don't have to tell me that," Nick said as he knew he has to fight as he pulls out his green crystal as he called out, "TEKK-SETTER!"
(Transformation Sequence)
Nick's clothing were vaporized with a crystal fin shot out from and shoulder with a red energy light that came from his forehead appeared before it spread across his body as it take shape. The armor soon forms with Nick's eyes becoming Bright emerald green before the helmet forms around his head with the topaz gem form last. Shoulder pads and braces form around his arms and legs completing the transformation as it change from green and purple to white and red.
(End Transformation)
Jetfire and Ironhide were interred to see how the transformation happens with nick becoming Tekkaman Blade, as blade turn to the two Autobots and said, "Let's get moving."
Ironhide and Jetfire gotten their blaster ready as the jet bot said, "We're right behind you."
(Battlefield)
The battle has become a three way fight, with Autobot, Decepticons, and Radan were all fighting each other, as the Decepticons had lost a few grunts, but keep strong, while the Autobots were dodging and avoiding all attacks coming at them with ease, while both them and their rival enemies were shooting out at the Radan, trying to clear them from the Energon mine as well reach the shield the best they can.
Nightbird over view the fight as she saw where the Iacon Locator Beacon was active at, seeing the Skyboom shield as she said, "There's the artifact. Decepticons, retrieve the artifact and bring it to me!"
Soon enough they were making their way to the shield quickly as they can, but the Radan spit out acid at them, hitting a grunt as the rest saw what happen as they were crying out in pain while their armor was being melted down before dying.
Dagger glare at the Decepticons as he said to them, "Try as you might, but you will not succeed. As I will make sure that all of you parish!"
"Not before I destroy you!" Blade voice rang out as Dagger turn around quickly as he saw Blade coming at him with his twin swords, as Dagger soon pull out his and defended himself as their weapon clash against one another before getting into a deadlock as Dagger said, "Ah Blade, I was just about to hunt you down and kill you, as after what you did to my eye, I will make sure you will suffer before perishing!"
"You can try but it will end the same, but this time I'll take your head instead," Blade said he push back Dagger while the two fight once again with their weapon clashing against one another greatly.
As the Autobots starts to make head way towards the artifact, the Decepticons keep on forcing their way through, as Shadowstriker blasted a Ragan through their body, she saw the shield was near her as she soon transform into a purple Zenvo TSR-S and make a break for the shield.
The Autobots sees this with Elite calls out, "Chromia, Arcee. Stop that con before they could reach the artifact!"
"Bumble Bee assists as needed! Bulkhead clear him a path!" Optimus orders out as the two bots soon went into action as Bulkhead came running in while raising his mace weapons, as he said, "Coming through!"
Smashing a lot of Radan out of the way or into each other to move them off the path as Bumble bee transform into his car form and drive fast to the shield. With Arcee and Chromia rushes to the shield as well to intercept Shadowstriker.
As the femme Decepticons was upon it, the two femme Autobots came in and knock her away before she could even touch the shield while also giving an angry cry at this as she and the two soon fight against each other.
Bumble bee came in about to grab the relic, but a blast force him away from the shield as Bumble bee turn to see Thunderblast as she had her weapon aim at him as she said, "Oh Yoo-Hoo! Autobot, how about you have some fun with me!"
She fire at him again as Bumblebee dodged the femme's shots and return fire with his blasters.
The battle continued as it was a three way battle between the Autobots, Decepticons, and Radan. Nearby Ironhide rejoined the battle with his cannons blazing as Jetfire accompanied him with his own blasters hot. As they fought Ironhide switched to his melee weapon which was a morning stare based weapon which he smashed into a few cons and Radan. Next came Jetfire who fired off his blaster before reaching for his back and pulling out a battle axe to do battle with.
As this went on Jetfire and Ironhide saw the Shield and went into action. "Optimus we have a clear shot for the shield!" Ironhide called out as he went to get the shield.
"I'll cover you!" Jetfire followed and thus transformed into his jet form and flew off to give the Bots air support.
Seeing this Bulkhead smiled as they hadn't had a flier on their side in a while. "Helps even the odds when we got our own fly guy." Bulkhead said as he saw Jetfire flying around shooting at both Cons and Radan alike. The battle continued for the factions as in the sky Blade and Dagger flew around fighting each other.
Eventually Ironhide got to the shield but before he could take it the Combaticons came in with Vortex kicking Ironhide in the face. "Now so fast Autobot." Onslaught yelled as he glared at Ironhide when Vortex landed after he had kicked down the Autobot away from the Shield.
Nightbird currently had a Radan by the neck area as she proceeded to tear outs its innards killing it instantly for the act. Nearby Slipstream regrouped with her commanding officer as she looked to Megatron's most loyal. "Slipstream take Blastoff and Vortex to provide air support I want those Autobots and those bugs dealt with, Onslaught you Swindle and Brawl are with me!" Nightbird ordered and thus they understood.
"Yes ma'am!" Onslaught confirmed and thus Vortex, Blastoff, and Slipstream transformed and flew off to handle Jetfire, Dagger, and Blade while also taking down the foes on the ground.
(Back in the sky)
Blade and Dagger flew around each other doing battle as Blade spun his lancer at Dagger who avoided the attack. Next Dagger flew back and fired more energy arrows at Blade who spun around avoiding them while flying after Dagger. As the battle continued between them laser fire went off as the two looked and saw Slipstream, Blastoff, and Vortex flying at them. They were in turn forced to dodge the attack and thus it became a three way dog fight between them. Dagger had the range weapon but Blade's own ranged weapon left him with limited use of it. Thus as Slipstream chased after Blade he was forced to dodge the femme fliers attacks.
"Die bug slave!" Slipstream called out as she chased after Blade.
Meanwhile with Dagger he was flying away from Vortex who had better maneuvering skills then his allies Blastoff and Slipstream with the propellers of his vehicle form continuing to spin. "Hah you bug walkers don't stand a chance!" Vortex taunted as he fired upon Dagger.
As Dagger flew around he then looked around and saw something near and smirked. He then waved his hand torts it and then to Vortex shock multiple flying Radan came at him and thus Vortex spun around shooting them save for one. The last one went to Dagger and thus Dagger jumped onto its back and stood upon it commanding it from there.
When Vortex saw this he was then fired upon by Dagger and his arrows which hit him in the side. "I'm hit! I'm hit!" Vortex called out as he began to come down.
Jetfire was still dealing with Blastoff who was on his tail and saw Blade was struggle himself. "Gotta help that kid." Jetfire said and knew what to do to help Blade. He flew at Blade and thus hoped he can give the kid cover to put some distance in.
As Blade avoided Slipstream it was clear she was giving chase and not giving up on her target. But as they flew Blade was grazed in the shoulder armor causing him to spiral a bit leaving him at Slipstream mercy.
"Blade!" Jetfire was heard and thus Slipstream was fired upon by Jetfire. "Get on quick!" Jetfire said and thus Blade saw what Jetfire was doing and thus jumped onto the fliers back and rode on the back of the Autobot into battle. "Come on lets double team them!" Jetfire called out and thus Blade nodded.
"Let's go!" Blade called out as Blastoff and Slipstream regrouped. First off Jetfire fired off his rockets which were locked onto the two Decepticons and chased after them. Luckily Blastoff and Slipstream sent off flares to intercept but using the smokescreen caused by the rockets they failed to see Blade charging at them as a beam of light. Once they were hit they were forced to back off from this fight a bit thanks to Jetfire and Tekkaman Blades combined power.
Back on the ground the Autobots began to regroup as Elita's team and Optimus team were at different points. Firestar slashed at a con with her sword and used her free hand to blast a Radan with her blaster. While behind cover Elita looked around for a moment and recognized a similar scenario from the war. She looked to the Shield and the cons going for it and thus devices a plan or in this case remembered an old one.
"Optimus!" Elita called out as she looked to Optimus who heard her. "Remember the siege on the Decepticon Base the first one we partook in together?" Elita asked and thus Optimus paused before looking around. It was that battle that etched Optimus and Elita as powerful leaders and partners in battle. No words were needed at that battle because they instinctively knew what the other was thinking and thus Optimus knew what to do.
"Autobots provide cover fire!" Optimus ordered and thus Elita agreed.
"You heard Prime." Elita added and thus she and Optimus went for it.
Optimus was first as he fired his blasters upon the cons and Onslaught until he used is swords to block the attack. Elita then jumped up as Optimus pushed Onslaught back and kicked the Combiner in the face. Once that was done Shadowstriker and Thunderblast came in and thus Elita fired at them before charging at them and taking them both down with ease. Optimus jumped over Elita who ducked in time and thus provided Elita cover from Swindle and Brawl. The two remaining grounded Combaticons went at Prime but underestimated him gravely in this regard. Optimus made quick work of the two Combaticons and thus kneeled down enough for Elita to run up his back and go for Nightbird.
Nightbird fought back but it was clear Elita didn't intend to win just stall. "Optimus go for the Shield now!" Elita called out as she kept Nightbird at bay.
"No!" Nightbird called out and thus Optimus charged for the Skyboom shield. In turn the Combaticons regained themselves and went after Optimus to stop him from getting the shield. But the moment they got close it was too late as Optimus grabbed the Shield and bashed Onslaught away with it. Following it up he activated his blaster and fired from behind the shield hitting the Combaticons forcing them back.
From the sky Slipstream came down and fired off her rockets with Dagger from another direction. "You're not keeping that shield Optimus Prime!" Dagger roared and thus his shoulder lenses flashed to life. "VOLTEKKA!" Dagger roared out and fired his weapon upon Optimus.
"Optimus look out!" Arcee called out and thus the shield began to activate in the hands of the Prime. Holding the shield upward to meet the blasts it began to glow and thus released a barrier which when the attacks hit covered the area in an explosion of smoke. Thankfully the Energon was not hit but the Radan and grunt cons weren't so lucky.
"Optimus!" Blade called out from above atop Jetfire.
But it seems good fortune was afoot for when the smoke cleared Optimus was seen alive and well protected by a barrier produced by the Skyboom Shield.
"Impossible!" Dagger gasped when he saw Optimus was ok.
Nightbird snarled and thus head-butt Elita to force her back. Once that was done she transformed and flew upward to the sky. She then landed on a high point in robot mode and glared at the ground below.
"Combaticons its time!" Nightbird ordered to which Onslaught heard her.
"You heard the commander Combaticons, combine into Bruticus!" Onslaught yelled out for what would come next. Once the order was given the Combaticons got moving as first came Brawl and Swindle who drove forth in vehicle mode to form the legs. Once that was done Onslaught transformed to vehicle mode before again transforming to form the head and torso. Finally came Blastoff and Vortex who formed the arms of Bruticus much to the Autobots shock.
Soon the combiner Bruticus stood before them as they saw the massive Decepticon towering over them. "Autobots fall back!" Optimus called out and thus they began to run for cover and/or higher ground.
"Bruticus Online! Ready for action!" Bruticus announced as Nightbird laughed at the event.
"Wow look at that thing." Moonracer gasped as she and Bumblebee both looked worried over facing Bruticus. As the Autobots made their retreat already Bruticus began firing upon them she and Bumblebee went to regroup with the other Autobots knowing Bruticus was not one to be trifled with.
(Autobot Base)
"Wow that is one huge Decepticon?!" Miko gasped when she saw Bruticus appear on screen.
"This is bad this is real bad." Perceptor said as he began to punch the numbers of their odds. "Ratchet we may need to perform a tactical retreat we've already taken the Relic." Perceptor said as he knew they couldn't hope to defeat Bruticus like this.
"I agree. Optimus you must fall back you already possess the Skyboom Shield fall back so I can bridge you all back." Ratchet urged knowing they had to fall back for the time being.
"And let the cons have all that Energon?" Jack asked as he was against it knowing the Autobots needed that stuff.
"We don't have a choice Jack if Bruticus is too strong for us to face without the proper equipment." Perceptor said and thus Jack had an idea.
"What about the Energon is volatile right, what if we use it to take down Bruticus and use the Skyboom shield to protect them, I mean its indestructible right?" Jack asked as he looked to Perceptor.
"Hmm in theory it could work but then Optimus will have to take some of the Energon into the barrier." Perceptor said as he knew now the limit the Shield may draw with Optimus.
"It is your decision Optimus." Ratchet said knowing it was a risky plan to perform.
"With our own Energon stores as low as it is and with our newly added numbers any amount can tip the balance." Optimus said as he knew the risks were great but this time they had to take it for the maximum amount of gain if any.
"Very well, I've performed a scan of the area the largest cluster of Energon Crystals should be closest to the mountain side." Perceptor said as he knew they had to take the risk for the Energon.
"Understood old friend." Optimus said and thus he ended the call as now they only had once shot to beat Bruticus.
(Battle)
"Bruticus!" She called out with a sickening laughter as she now had the upper hand over the Autobots. She was joined with Slipstream and not long after Shadowstriker and Thunderblast. As Bruticus stomped around firing down upon the Autobots Radan had begun their escape no doubt to avoid facing the Combiner with their lack of numbers and proper tools. Evan Dagger recognized a losing battle when he saw one hence why he opted to retreat.
As Bruticus continued on his path Jetfire flew in with Blade on his back firing down upon Bruticus. Bruticus roared in fury as he glared at Jetfire and Tekkaman Blade. He then used the propellers on his left arm, curtesy of Vortex, to make a shield to defend himself from the attack. Just then Blade jumped over and slashed at Bruticus but it seems his weapon did little but annoy the massive combiner who then attacked Blade with his free arm forming a massive cannon. Blade avoided the attack knowing full well if he got hit he was as good as dead. Blade and Jetfire flew around Bruticus trying to keep him busy knowing the Combiner had the advantage of strength on his side. Added that the component bots worked so well together made it so Bruticus was in his top form.
As the Autobots saw this Bumblebee and Moonracer knew that Jetfire and Blade couldn't do this on their own. The two youngest Autobots in turn sprang into action knowing their allies needed help. "Bumblebee no!" Optimus began when he saw his scout charging in.
"Moonracer fallback!" Elita ordered to her team's sniper knowing she was putting herself in needless danger.
The duo managed to slip under the Combiner and fired at him from behind. This in turn got Bruticus attention on them opting the two to run for it. Bruticus began firing down on them causing them to try seeking cover. But Moonracer despite being a sniper was still young like Bumblebee and at times cocky with her age. So she quickly jumped up the wall and jumped off it as she was airborne for a moment she took out her rifle from the holster on her back and began firing at Bruticus's face with it. Bruticus stumbled back grabbing his face from the pain as the shot hit him between the optics. But as she came back down Bruticus regained himself enough to grab the young Femme and toss her against the wall hard causing her to cry out in pain. Bruticus was about to deal with her but Bumblebee came in firing at the combiner to save the young femme.
But Bruticus simply fired his flamethrower at Bumblebee forcing him to stop and leaving himself open to a kick from Bruticus. "Bumblebee!" Moonracer cried out once she regained herself. She then charged in firing at Bruticus in hopes of saving Bumblebee. As she got close Bruticus aimed his cannon at them no doubt he wasn't as dumb as he looked and thus she knew she wouldn't be able to move fast enough to avoid the shot.
Just then Jetfire flew in and transformed into robot mode before using both his speed and momentum to force Bruticus to aim away from the two youngest bots. Taking the chance Bumblebee and Moonracer regrouped with the rest of the bots as both leaders would scold the two later for their reckless actions.
"Moonracer Bumblebee remember most combiners are powerful but most times they are slow." Elita began as she looked to the two who disobeyed orders as well as telling the other Bots of this.
"We are smaller and faster our advantage." Optimus informed and thus they knew what had they had to do to draw Bruticus into their trap. The battle continued as the Autobots in turn moved in and began to fire at Bruticus keeping their distance but guiding him to their trap. Using the Skyboom Shield to its full advantage Optimus deflected and blocked most of the Combiners attacks on him while trying to cover the other Autobots.
Nearby Blade figured the plan out and thus had an idea to add to it. "Alright time to pull an Empire Strikes Back." Blade said as he in turn flew in.
"Empire Strikes Back?" Jetfire asked confused by this.
"When I trip him, set him off!" Blade responded to which Jetfire was left confused by this. Blade flew in and thus sent off his wire lasso to one of Bruticus arms probably the one made from Blastoff by the looks of it. Once it wrapped around Blade began to fly around Bruticus wrapping the wire around him as he went lower on the Combiner.
"Autobots provide cover for Blade!" Optimus ordered as they knew Bruticus left arm made from Vortex would prove to be a problem.
"Got it Prime!" Ironhide called out and thus fired off his arm cannons at Bruticus face. In fact the Autobots continued to fire open Bruticus until Blade eventually managed to wrap his wire completely around the Combiner.
"Jetfire coming in hot!" Jetfire called out as he flew straight for Bruticus face. Once he got close he transformed to robot mode and punched him in the face before transforming back to jet mode. The impact of the attack knocked Bruticus to the larger pile of Energon Crystals and thus left the Combiner wide open for attack. Blade severed his wire as Optimus knew what was coming next when he saw Jetfire fly skyward.
"Autobots fall back and gather around me!" Optimus ordered as Jetfire took a U-turn and made a nosedive for Bruticus.
As Jetfire flew down he targeted the Energon Crystals surrounding Bruticus who quickly realized what was happening and began to struggle to get free. Blade meanwhile was flying over to where Optimus was to hide behind his barrier to escape the blast as well as help preserve enough of the Crystals for the Autobots to utilize.
Over with the Decepticon Femme's Shadowstriker realized what was going on. "That's not good." Shadowstriker said and thus knew it was time for the trio to cut and run.
"I'm out of here!" Thunderblast called out as she in turn transformed into vehicle form as did Shadowstriker to drive off. Slipstream did the same as she flew off knowing what would come if they stayed.
"No get back here!" Nightbird ordered just before Jetfire launched missiles down upon the crystals surrounding Bruticus. Seeing this Nightbird snarled before she too transformed and flew to a safe distance herself.
"Need to hurry!" Blade called out only for things to go from bad to worse. His timer began to go off and thus the pain to his mind returned causing Blade to lose his focus and crash across the ground a bit before halting. "No not now." Blade cursed as he held his head trying to force his body to move through the pain.
"Optimus, Elita look!" Arcee called out as she saw that Blade was down.
"His timer must have hit." Bulkhead said and thus Elita sprang into action.
"Elita wait!" Optimus called out but it was too late.
Elita transformed into her vehicle mode and drove straight for Blade as he was trying to move to the barrier spot but was struggling to do so. Once she got close she transformed into robot mode and grabbed Blade before transforming back into vehicle mode with Blade inside her. Elita in turn began to drive as the flashing timer on Blade was flaring. Elita drove through every obstacle as Optimus prepared to activate the Skyboom Shield again.
Just then the missiles hit the crystals and thus the chain reaction started. Jetfire was already at a safe distance but the Autobots had to protect what Energon they could. "Optimus we're out of time!" Ironhide called out and thus Optimus with heavy spark activated the shield again.
"Maximum Overdrive!" Elita called out and thus gained a huge increase in her speed to get to the shield. And not a moment too soon did she make it as she transformed again with Blade in her arms and rolled through the last hole she could and met with the Autobots. They in turn all huddled together and thus the energon explosion washed over the area shielding everything in smoke.
The explosion lit up the sky but thankfully it was away from a populated area. The smoke began to settle yet still covered the area obscuring their vision. Eventually the Decepticon Femme's returned to find that none of the Energon survived. They looked around for a moment as Nightbird went to look for them.
"Commander I doubt even the Combaticons could survive that." Slipstream said as she looked to Nightbird.
"Regardless they saved me so I owe them a debt." Nightbird confessed as she was rescuing the Combaticons out of honor. Just then they heard Onslaught moaning in pain and thus found him with the other combaticon's seriously injured but alive. But as she looked around she saw no sign of the Autobots or the Relic and thus her breathing increased while her mask receded. She first activated her communicator and knew who to call. "Soundwave we require a bridge and also a medical team on standby." She began as her breathing showed she was ready to explode. "The Combaticons are in need of them." Nightbird began and thus hung up on Soundwave as Shadowstriker, Slipstream, and Thunderblast fearfully stepped away from Nightbird. In turn Nightbird roared to the heavens as her yell echoed across the area showing she was more like Megatron then one would believe.
(With the Autobots)
The Autobots were seen with the barrier still up as Optimus was holding on as long as he could. Blade had reverted to Nick when the explosion came to an end and was being held by Ironhide now. Eventually the barrier fell and in turn Optimus fell to his knees trying to regain some strength. "Optimus." Elita called out as she went over to Optimus with concern for him.
"I am well the Skyboom Shield is taxing in its use." Optimus said as the ultimate defensive tool had a draw back to its power. "Using it sparingly would be most advised." Optimus said as he knew that as a normal shield the Skyboom Shield was formidable but in the hands of a Prime it was undefeated.
"Wait quiet." Firestar said as she heard movement nearby. Bumblebee and Moonracer went to investigate the source and saw the Cons were there and with them the Combaticons were being carried off for medical treatment.
"Guys stay quiet the cons are nearby." Moonracer said and thus they had to wait. The Autobots in turn waited for a time until they heard the sound of a Ground Bridge closing nearby. "Ok clear." Moonracer said and thus they looked around and saw a large amount of Energon had survived thanks to Optimus and the Skyboom Shield.
"Well Autobots this Energon won't mine itself." Elita said as she took command while helping Optimus to a sitting position. "Let's get to work before the Decepticons catch wind of any surviving Energon." Elita said and thus the Autobots began to work on mining the stuff. Luckily they had the tools for such an event where they find the Energon first thanks to Ratchet and prior raids on Energon Mines.
(Scene Break Autobot Base)
Nick was with the other humans as he was now all dressed. Jack had gone into two to get some cloths for Nick and even extras so he could have a spare set ready. Thus Nick was now dressed in a pair of jeans, combat boots, and a sleeveless white shirt which showed his arms had some muscle to them.
Nearby Ratchet and Perceptor were treating any of the wounded. Moonracer had just gotten out of her healing session while Bumblebee was still in his but thankfully no one was in critical condition. "Moonracer, Bumblebee putting yourselves at risk against a Combiner was a foolish tactic." Elita began as she looked to the two bots as Bee exited the pod. "I don't want either of you putting yourselves in that kind of situation again. Am I clear?" Elita asked sounding like a mother hen to her two kids.
"Yes ma'am." Moonracer said as she looked bashful like a child who got scolded by her mom. The same can be said for Bumblebee and as the humans watched it was like Elita was the strict parent in this situation.
"However." Optimus began getting the two youngest bots attention. "You have both performed admirably today." Optimus added leveling Elita's scolding by pointing the good traits the two had shown this day.
"So Optimus what will we be doing about the Skyboom shield?" Bulkhead asked as he looked to the shield.
"The Shield took a massive toll on Optimus, its strength depends on the Prime and his focus on its power as well as its control of it." Ratchet said as he looked to the bots.
"As he already stated, the Skyboom Shield is a powerful relic considered to be among the three strongest relics of the Primes in their destructive capabilities, thus to so avoid crippling Optimus in a battle I highly suggest we use the Shield sparingly in situation that require a defensive edge." Perceptor said as he was currently studying the Skyboom Shield.
"Perceptor is correct for the time being until it is needed the Shield will be locked away." Ratchet said knowing the Shields power was great but such power needs to be used wisely.
"Now then Moonracer Bumblebee go help the others store the Energon we've collected." Elita said and thus Moonracer and Bumblebee stood up straight.
"Yes ma'am." Moonracer said with Bumblebee beeping in confirmation before they went to help with the Energon.
"I'm still concerned about our new friend here." Ratchet said as he looked to where Nick was as Miko was trying to get him to crack a smile. "If his abilities can only be safely used for 30 minutes at a time it makes him a liability in the field." Ratchet said as Optimus understood. "But those same abilities is what may help humankind face the Radan." Optimus said as he looked to Ratchet.
"I'll do what I can but this technology is beyond even myself." Ratchet said and thus Optimus looked to Perceptor and Jetfire which one was working on the Skyboom Shield while the other had just joined in.
"Thankfully you'll have help in that regard." Optimus said and thus Ratchet almost forgot that Jetfire and Perceptor were a couple of big brains like himself. Hopefully then can pool their collective knowledge to aid Nick. Today was a victory for the Autobots no argument to that. But the question still remained now that more allies and enemies arrived how will, it all change the war.
(Meanwhile on the Nemesis)
The Combaticons were moved to Medical bay and were treated by Knockout and Breakdown. Thankfully they'll pull through which is good news since a Combiner is a very useful asset to have in the field. Megatron was of course given the report by Nightbird whom was currently standing in a dark room on the Nemesis with Megatron and Starscream who looked slightly smug about it.
"So not only did you lose the Skyboom Shield but you had also lost a valuable Energon mine?!" Megatron asked as he glared at his kneeling subordinate.
"My deepest apologies Lord Megatron, but I had underestimated my foes and grew arrogant with complacency." Nightbird apologized as she kneeled before her lord and master with her optics to the ground. "I shall accept any punishment you deem fit Lord Megatron." Nightbird said and thus Megatron had an idea to kill two birds with one stone.
"I shall hold you up to that Nightbird." Megatron said as he then began to leave the room with Starscream in tow. "As for your punishment you will be in charge of deciding Starscreams punishment for falsifying reports." Megatron said making Starscream go wide eyed in shock over this. Nigthbird of course grinned at the concept of causing Starscream harm and getting away with it. "Due as you see fit but be sure Knockout can still salvage and heal him." Megatron added before both closing and locking the door leaving Starscream trapped inside with Nightbird.
Nightbird of course was grinning as she wanted to snuff Starscream but making him suffer will have to do. "Soundwave I know your probably listening in so be sure to record the screams of agony from Starscream. When I power down I want to power down to the sound of those screams every time." Nightbird said as Starscream was now against the wall with Nightbird prowling torts him. The last thing anyone could hear from this room was the sound of Starscreams panicked squeak before it all went to black.
