Hello, fellow trainers. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. In the last chapter, we spent some time with Team JNPR in the Forever Fall Forest where not only have Lotus and Moss evolved, but Ren and Pyrrha have gained their second Pokemon with Dustox and Magikarp respectively.
In the end of the chapter though, we meet another of Joey "Jawbreaker" Cross's crew: Robert "Force" Gale and they head inside their hideout in Vale to discuss Phase 2. This OC was provided by Bucky749. Thank you so much.

Now, time for some Important Meetings!
*Vale. Team Galactic Hideout. 20:42 pm*
Roman, Commander Mars, Joey, Rachel, and Robert were currently discussing Phase 2. "Now, Roman, are you sure you can handle this?" Mars asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Mars, I have a way with these people." Roman smirked, holding Melodic Cudgel. "Besides, I'm not the one who got beat by Little Red back at the docks."
Joey was quick to clench his fists, ready to pound Roman into the ground, but Rachel put a hand on her leader's shoulder. "Calm down, Joey." She said soothingly. "Roman, your mission is just to get the Paladin and supply it to the White Fang."
"Consider it done." Roman bowed dramatically as he walked out of the office. Once he left, Joey slammed his fist onto the table, making it crack.
"Speaking of the White Fang, how's the operation with them in Mt. Glenn faring?" Mars asked.
Changing the subject to that got Joey to perk up with a small grin. "It's proceeding excellently. A couple White Fang operatives have begun opting to catch some of the Pokemon living in the cavern."
"Now, that's good to hear. Is there anyone notable to speak of in there?" Mars asked, curious.
Rachel took this moment to speak up. "Olivia Briarwood, a Wolverine Faunus. She's really stepping up in there." She continued. "Even caught a Rock-type to add to her roster."
"That's good to hear." Robert smiled. "What do you think, Jim?"
"Nite." Jim snorted, a little smoke coming out from his nostrils.
"I have faith that Roman will acquire the Atlas Military Paladin for the White Fang." Rachel said, doing a good job at hiding her secret admiration. "Besides, Team Galactic already has a couple of them."
"Which is good for Phase 2." Joey noted. "In the meantime, let us depart to our posts."
"Hold on." Robert held his hand up. "Should one of us go with Roman to watch his back if these kids decide to interfere again?"
"You make a good point." Mars nodded in agreement. "Rachel will go since she's a Faunus herself."
"Understood." Rachel nodded, but inside, she was giddy. "Oh, I'm gonna be working personally with Roman Torchwick!" She sighed dreamily in her head as she walked out of the meeting.
*Anima. Mt. Chimney. Team Magma Hideout. 22:12 pm*
Tabitha, Courtney, and Blaise were having a small meeting regarding matters. "So, Joey has another member of his crew in Vale now. Hopefully, that saves him from his own incompetence." Courtney snarked.
"Meanwhile, my buddy Roman is performing well!" Blaise laughed lightly.
"Now, now, you two." Tabitha chuckled. "We're here to discuss Ember and Landon's performances in the field as well as potential new members to our groups. Also, the progress of Project: Sunbeam."
"How is that progressing, anyway?" Courtney asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It is progressing far better than we could've even dreamed." A new voice said happily. The trio turned to see a man that looked to be in his 40s with white hair that made him look like a mad scientist, green eyes and glasses wearing a red Team Magma coat with torn sleeves, the standard Team Magma uniform pants, and red and black sneakers. This man had a Torkoal walking beside him. "Good to see you three again. I love my laboratory, but sometimes, it gets really stuffy."
"Ah, Professor Broadflame." Tabitha nodded with a small smile. "So good of you to join us."
"Good to be here, Tabitha." Professor Broadflame smiled enthusiastically. "Progress: Sunbeam is 90% complete."
Their eyes widened at the news. 90%?! That was further along than they'd thought. "Wow, Prof. You're really outdoing yourself this time." Blaise commented.
"The power to harness solar energy into raw power instead of dust like what we're doing with geothermal energy is a great step towards the future!" Professor Broadflame exclaimed dramatically.
"Glad you agree." Tabitha nodded, still having his small smile. "Now, are the first wave of weapons ready for use?"
"Ready to go and fully powered." Professor Broadflame smiled widely. "We can use them at any time we desire."
"Great!" Blaise exclaimed happily. "Let's take those new puppies out and take out our enemies right now!"
"No, Blaise. They must be used strategically." Tabitha lightly admonished.
"Tabitha's right, Blaise." Courtney agreed. "We can't just go in guns blazing. We have to be smart about this."
"Good to see you sharing my views on this, Courtney." Tabitha nodded.
*Beacon Academy. Headmaster Ozpin's Office. 23:03 pm*
Ozpin, Glynda, and the Beacon faculty were having another discussion, but this one was regarding Teams RWBY, JNPR and their Pokemon as well as Coco and Velvet. "It is good that more students are finding Pokemon in the Emerald and Forever Fall Forests, but RWBY and JNPR are excelling with their Pokemon." Ozpin smiled, taking a sip from his mug.
"Indeed, old friend." Rowan smiled. "Ruby has made great strides with her Beautifly and curb its instincts. I'm greatly impressed with her."
"That's my little rose!" Summer lightly gushed.
"While those ten are doing a marvelous job, more people should be catching and training Pokemon." Port brought up. "Though, I know some people may not want to have them."
"The students will have to train harder. They have been training since they heard about Slateport." Glynda added.
"Not to mention Captain Stern is still missing. Team Aqua's no doubt using him for their nefarious purposes." Oobleck said in his usual fast speed.
Just then, the elevator dinged and Qrow walked in while taking a swig. "Hey, everyone, shortstack."
"Birdbrain." Summer teased as she and Qrow high-fived each other. "How have you been?"
"Been better. However, I have heard some troubling rumors, though." Qrow quickly gained a serious look on his face.
"What kind of rumors?" Glynda asked, concern in her voice.
"Looker has informed me that Team Galactic has two Atlesian Military Paladins in its arsenal." Qrow said grimly, causing everyone sans Ozpin to gasp.
"What? Are you sure, Qrow?" Port asked urgently.
"Positive." Qrow nodded. "We're gonna have our hands full if word of that gets out into the public, not to mention Jimmy's gonna be pissed as all hell."
"He's no doubt gonna bring his entire fleet with him anyway cause of what happened at the docks." Rowan sighed, rubbing his eyes. "That will be a headache."
"Agreed, but maybe if some Atlesian Hunters come along, that could help." Ozpin voiced. "I know James' methods are very clear to see, but it could work to our advantage."
"What do you mean, Oz?" Qrow raised an eyebrow.
"I mean with the Atlesian Fleet in the sky, the enemy might focus on that and leave an opening for us." Ozpin answered. "RWBY and JNPR are becoming more and more adept, so…"
"Oh, I see what you mean, Oz, but that doesn't stop my worry for my nieces." Qrow admitted, his voice laced with concern.
Summer put a hand on her former teammate's shoulder to calm him down. "Don't worry, Qrow. My little rose and fire dragon have good friends now to help them through."
"Yeah. I know." Qrow sighed.
"The main thing is keeping civilians safe if a big battle occurs." Summer said. "I have a strange feeling something's gonna happen that will have us fighting Grimm as well as bad guys."
"Then, we'll have to be as prepared as we can be." Ozpin said, letting out a breath. "Oh, I almost forgot. I have allowed teams RWBY and JNPR to stay up late tonight to talk about their Pokemon."
*Beacon Academy. Emerald Forest Edge. Teams RWBY & JNPR. 22:43 pm*
The two teams were having a bit of a campout after being given permission to do so from Headmaster Ozpin. Currently, they were just talking about their Pokemon, mostly about the new additions as well as certain evolutions.
"Just look at Moss, guys." Nora smiled at her Vigoroth as it did a "strong" pose.
"Gotta say, I'm loving Moss's new look." Yang grinned.
"Roth." Moss growled happily at Yang's words.
"I know, but since evolving, he's become… a lot more like me. He's now hyperactive." Nora admitted with a small blush. "Honestly, I've been trying to keep him calm."
"You? Keep Moss calm? Breathe in the irony." Blake teased.
"Well, Ren, I can safely say Yichen has gotten used to you pretty easily." Ruby smiled while feeding Thorn her nectar.
"Indeed, Ruby. My work with the various berries came in handy." Ren commented, his new Dustox resting on his back.
"I'm surprised with how elegant Lotus looks now." Weiss brought up. "With how you told me how he took down that Scyther, I'm impressed."
The blonde of Team RWBY was focused on Pyrrha's new companion now. "Um, P-Money, you do know that Poseidon is a Magikarp, right?" Yang asked just to be sure.
"And your point?" Pyrrha responds with slightly narrow eyes.
"My point is that Magikarp can't do anything except flop around." Yang continued.
"I wouldn't call being able to jump several hundred meters into the sky once properly trained as "can't do anything"." Jaune points out.
"Can it fight a battle, Vomit-Boy? No, it can't. All Magikarp knows is Splash and even when it learns Tackle, it's still pretty much useless." Yang added.
"Hmp, you think so? I bet I can beat your Charmander friend right now with Poseidon.~" Pyrrha boasts.
"Now now, Pyrhha, we can't have a battle this late. Ozpin has told me, Ruby, and Coco that we will be sent on a joint mission pretty soon." Jaune informed. "Besides, we need our strength for that.
"Oh, come on, Jauney-Boy!" Yang complained. "It'll just be Johnny versus Poseidon. It'll be very quick."
"Yes, it will." Pyrrha agrees as Poseidon glares at the blonde, its whiskers wiggling in defiance.
"Alright, then. Johnny, take Poseidon down! Tackle attack!" Yang grinned as her Charmander jumped toward Poseidon.
"Splash!" Pyrrah cries out and at speeds well past Johnny's the Magikarp bounces away from the tackle making the fire lizard stumble a little as they land their jumps. "Tackle!" Pyrrha then shouts and Poseidon listens as he begins to slam into Johnny at incredible speeds.
"Whoa!" Ruby breathed seeing Poseidon fight Johnny which was something she didn't expect to see tonight.
Yang looked a little flabbergasted but refocused as she cried out, "Dragon Breath!" to which Johnny spewed out a blast of green fire trying to hit the redfish pokémon. Only for the attack to whiff horribly as Poseidon splashes out of the way and landing against a large tree branch before pushing off of it to land a more powerful Tackle right onto the orange mon's head creating a loud *GONG* sound. Leaving the Charmander on their butt as they cry out in pain. "Give up yet?" Pyrrha then asks.
"When have you known me to give up?" Yang smirked.
"Yang, I think you should withdraw. Johnny isn't looking so good." Ruby voiced.
"Yeah, you haven't even landed a single hit, meanwhile Poseidon has landed several. Even with how weak a Magikarp's attack is. They're still doing damage. " Weiss then warns.
"Just tale the loss and admit you're wrong about Poseidon." Blake said.
"No way we're losing to a Magikarp!" Yang responds defiantly as she yells, "Johnny, Smokescreen!" Johnny spewed out black smoke from his mouth to obscure Poseidon's vision.
"Poseidon, jump up and tackle Johnny again!" Pyrrha commanded and the Magikarp did that as it once again jumped up.
"Dragon Breath!" Johnny then spewed more green flames this time hitting Poseidon who cries out in pain but endures as he lets himself slam against the tree behind him before using splash to propel himself with enough force to jump over a mountain and adds tackle to that splash. Smashing right into Johnny with immense acceleration creating a massively powerful Tackle.
"Johnny!" Yang cried out as she held her Charmander in her arms. While he was okay, he wasn't able to battle anymore. "Thank Oum you're okay." She sighed in relief.
"Well, looks like Poseidon wins." Pyrrha grinned. Poseidon puffs out his fins proudly as Yang is forced to eat her words and feel her pride take a rather huge blow.
"Awesome job, Poseidon!" Nora cheered.
Good job, Pyrrha." Ren smiled, Yichen snuggling into his lap.
"Yang?" Ruby then says a bit sternly as her sister returns Johnny back to his ball.
"Fine, fine. Pyrrha, I'm sorry for underestimating Poseidon." Yang apologized.
"And?" Pyrrha replies as she crosses her arms.
"And... for belittling Magikarps as a whole," Yang adds in a mature manner.
"Accepted, Yang. As long as you learned your lesson." Pyrrha lightly grinned.
"You really had to eat that humble pie.~" Blake teases making Yang sigh.
"I sure did." She agrees, sounding a little bitter.
"You know, I'm wondering what Ozpin and the others are talking about right now." Jaune pondered.
"Probably our next course of action, no doubt." Weiss believes.
"You think Coco and Velvet will join us for it?" Nora asked. "Our joint mission, I mean."
"Likely. Things are getting dangerous." Ruby admits.
"Faster than I like." Ren said. "It seems like the number of enemies is growing."
"Yep." Nora adds.
"Well, at least we know the names of the bad guy teams." Yang reasoned. "So, it's not like we're completely in the dark."
"Besides, back to the topic of Coco and Velvet, It's more likely that Fox and Yatsuhashi will come as well." Blake said. "So, three whole teams will be acting as one force."
"Which is good cause I think we're gonna need reinforcements." Jaune finished.
Hello, everyone. I hope you liked this chapter of Rwby: Remnant's Trainers. This was mainly a chapter of meetings. Two involving the bad guys and the third involving the Beacon Faculty. With Team Magma, we meet a new OC: Professor Ignis Broadflame.
We also did see a bit of RWBY and JNPR having a campout at Emerald Forest Edge, talking about Moss, Yichen, and Poseidon. Yang underestimates Poseidon because he's a Magikarp and ends up eating her words.
As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me.
