Tekkaman Prime
ESKK: Well here we are the 4th chapter let's begin folks.
(Start Autobot Base)
Perceptor, Jetfire, and Ratchet were currently in the base as Nick, Jack, Miko, and Raf were in the humans hang out area. The three Autobot big brains were working on what appeared to be a sample of Radan contained and possibly dead. "Remarkable." Ratchet said as the data was on his screen while Jetfire was looking at a sample from his own work bench.
"Yes most intriguing in the past the Radan was assumed to require a queen for the hive mind but acquired evidence suggests that is not the case." Perceptor said as he with Ratchet looked over the acquired data. "Their biological technology could rival Cybertron's own advance technological achievements from the Golden Age." Perceptor said as he looked through the data.
"If we can understand this we may find a way to reverse the augmentation process if not recreate it so the one involved will retain their free will." Jetfire said as he worked on his station.
"And I thought Ratchet in Brainiac mode was boring." Miko said as she saw the three big brains of the Autobots hard at work. "Jeez snooze fest." Miko said as they were stuck at base while the big brain bots worked on their science project. Raf and Jack were playing video games at the moment while Nick stayed by his lonesome.
"Hey Nick want to join in?" Jack asked but Nick was doing push-ups trying to keep in shape.
"Pass." Nick responded as he continued his work out.
"You know what that's it." Miko said as she walked over to Nick as he finished up his rep.
"Wait Miko." Jake began but was ignored.
"Ok listen here Mr. Broody McBad-attitude we're just trying to be friendly and for the past month it's been, I need to Kill those bugs while I feel sorry for myself, so how about you stop the whole bad attitude and try to see those trying to help you." Miko said as she honestly had enough of Nick's attitude problem. "I like a lone wolf as much as the next guy Wheelejack and Arcee being chief two but there's such a difference between a lone wolf and a jerkass." Miko said as she glared at Nick. "So how about you get off your ass sit down with us and hang out if you're so obsessed with being human act human!" Miko yelled as this in turn got everyone to stop what they were doing to look at her and Nick.
"Wow I didn't think she had it in her." Jack said as he looked to Raf who agreed with him.
Nick then groaned a bit and walked to the sofa. "Fine." He said passing by Miko who was surprised he didn't argue against it this time.
"Wait what?" Jack asked as Nick took a seat on the side sofa that was set up a while back.
"Don't sound shocked she, had a point near the end." Nick said as he waited his turn for whatever game they were playing.
"Ok that sounds like the call of end times." Jack said as he was worried Nick may have come down with something.
"Well happy to see our loner is interacting with others." Arcee said as she approached the group.
"Arcee I thought you were on scouting duty today?" Jack said as he was surprised Arcee was back already.
"Normally yes but without new numbers we were able to start spreading out the duties." Arcee said as she looked to the humans. "It's almost surprising how easier we can run things around here with extra servos on deck." Arcee said as she stretched a bit to loosen her joints.
"Then why are only the big brains here?" Miko asked as she looked to Arcee.
"Optimus and Elita are currently out scouting Firestar is in the training hall with Moonracer, Ironhide is checking out the weapons we salvaged from the wrecked ships with Bulkhead, and Chromia went with Bumblebee to track down some Energon." Arcee listed off as Miko then giggled.
"Optimus and Elita scouting or driving?" Miko asked as she wiggled her eyebrows a bit as it was easy to tell that something was on between the two leaders.
"As much as you may think Optimus and Elita are professional enough not to waste time interfacing." Ratchet said as he continued his work.
"Um Interfacing?" Raf asked and thus Nick sighed.
"He means the Cybertronian Equivalent to having sex." Nick dumbed down making Raf and Jack go wide eyed to this causing Jack to win the battle on the game.
"Ok I did not need those mental images." Jack said as Miko laughed a bit as she heard this.
"My turn." Miko called out as she took her spot when Raf lost his match.
Just then the sound of a familiar truck and car was heard and from it the group saw Optimus and Elita had returned to base. Once they transformed they walked in and were greeted by the Autobots. "Did you find anything Optimus?" Ratchet asked taking a break from his work.
"Nothing old friend it would seem that both Radan and Decepticon activity have been at an all-time low." Optimus said as he looked to the Autobots. "I fear this is simply the calm before the storm." Optimus began only for the computers to shoot out an alert to them.
In response Ratchet ran over to the station and activated it. "It seems Radan had struck an Energon vain." Ratchet said as he looked to the Autobots. Thanks to their research the Autobots have gotten a better time scanning for Radan activity but the system was still a touch and go one.
"Again?" Moonracer was heard as she and Firestar walked in after finishing their training session.
"It's the tenth one this month." Chromia added a she and the other Autobots gathered in the main room.
"This doesn't make sense Radan according to historical files never needed or wanted Energon, they hate the stuff, so why are they mining it?" Arcee asked as Nick had a word on this.
"The only way we can find out is from Dagger himself." Nick said as he knew this was going to keep happening until they learn the truth.
"Be that as it may, we must secure the Energon before the Decepticons can, Ratchet open the ground bridge." Optimus said and thus Ratchet did so. "Jetfire remain here with Ratchet and Perceptor, Nick you will remain at the base until we have need of your aid." Optimus said as it was better than letting Nick sneak off. "Autobots roll out!" Optimus ordered and thus they drove off to acquire the Energon. But unaware to them Radan was already enacting a plan while the Autobots were distracted.
(Scene Break Wisconsin)
In a sleepy town of in Wisconsin called Rising Hill all was peaceful as the people went about their daily lives. For the past few days the town had been a victim of small tremors and the like. Nothing disastrous mind you but it did get people on edge for the next one. Despite this all was peaceful as a group of kids around Jack and Miko's age were hanging out just being normal teenagers.
All was peaceful until another tremor hit this one the strongest yet. It was to the point people began to panic as the ground even cracked from the rumbling. As they all got moving to a safe location the ground broke open and from it Hell broke forth. From the holes Radan shot out roaring out and thus causing a panic as everyone began to run for it.
Not long after Radan plants came forth and began grabbing anyone they could. The group of kids were also captured as one by one humans of all ages were captured while others who defied them were killed by the bugs. Hovering over them was Dagger as he laughed at constructing their first forward command base. The phone lines were being cut off to prevent any of them from contacting the outside world and during this Dagger laughed knowing since they did this Blade was sure to show up.
"Phase 1 is good now to prepare Phase 2 for Blade." Dagger said and thus saw a larger Radan sprouting forth ready for its mission to debilitate Blade.
(Scene Break later at the Autobot base)
The teens were still playing their fighting game, it was now Miko vs Nick as they fight in game with nick look like eh was barely doing anything while Miko was going all over the couch and controller while looking like she was in a panic, as she said fast, "Nononononono!
Nick roll his eyes a bit before smiling just a bit as he did a combo with his controller as his fighting character did a special move before the Screen said-
"K.O! Winner Player 1"
"Ahh!" Miko went as she fall back as she seem exhausted after that fight and a bit disappointed that she didn't win, as she soon said, "That was totally and brutally… Awesome!"
Miko went from disappointed to happy again as she turn to Nick and asked of him, "How did you do that? Are you a master of fighting or something D-boy?"
"No, I play this game before and know all the combo and finishers by heart, and you keep hitting only 3 buttons, wasn't hard to see how you play and know how to counter," Nick said as Jack thought for a moment and said, "Hu, that make sense, you always seem to go for the same kick move against me in the last match."
Miko grunted a bit as it seem Nick had figure out her strategy, and about to say something, but Miko could say anything the ground bridge soon open up with the group turn to see the Auto bots were returning and with a hall of energon that they were getting by the tons as Irohhide said, "That was the best one yet, and what better, hardly any Decepticons showed up."
Bumble bee buzz and beep out to agree with him as Arcee had a bit of a frown going on as she said, "Yea… it just seem too easy. There were hardly any attack force, and no higher rank soldiers either from Radan."
"Why are you being in a sour mood? Getting this much energon should be great victory. I say we celebrate, spoil ourselves a bit and get over charge tonight?" Firestar suggest as it sound like she want to go drinking out to a bar as Elita came up to her and said, "That will have to be put on hold for the time being Firestar, as there is no telling what could happen at any given moment, and Arcee is right, it did seem too easy."
Nick was over hearing this and wonder why the Radan were going light on their forces, as they usually have dozen upon dozen of their monsters attacking in any situation Radan are a part of, as Optimus said, "What she said is true, and we must remain vigilant of both Decepticons and Radan activity as we have no idea what they have plan for all of us."
Suddenly a call was coming in, as Agent fowler appeared on screen as he yell out, "Prime, we got a situation here!"
"What is it Special Agent fowler?" Optimus said as Fowler soon give the report as he said, "About a few hours ago, a town in Wisconsin called Rising Hill had just went dark with all the power and phone line there are cut off."
When nick hears this his eyes widen a bit to this news, especially when he heard the name of the town Fowler was talking about as he went on saying, "The only news we ever gotten from there was a radio transmission from someone within the town and maybe… from the only survivor, with the authority's gotten recently and reported it in."
"Do you know what this survivor said," Optimus said as Fowler soon said to him, "Let me play you a copy of it and you tell me."
Soon enough the recording of the radio transmission was playing as a males voice was heard as he soon said, "Please, if anyone is out there, please send help! Rising hill was taken over by these huge bugs that came out of the ground! They started to taken people putting them into these… trees thing and kill those who fought back, it all happen so fast no one knew what was happening until it happen. Please we need-"
The message ended there after the sound of something crashing through whatever hideout the survivor was in with a scream follow before it cut to static, as Nick knew what this survivor is talking about, and there was only one enemy that had giant bug and the strange tree he was talking about, and by the sound of it, it wasn't good as he said, "Radan! They're already advance that far in their invasion?"
"What do you mean?" Jack said as he wonder what Nick is going on about as he soon said, "Those tree that was said doesn't happen overnight, it take days to grow to a certain size before humans are place inside of them, the first step of taking over, as well as creating Tekkaman like myself, and to the sound of how fast they took over that town… there may have been many that gather and came up at once to snatch people quickly."
After that the Autobots were surprise by this news with Optimus putting the pieces together along with Elita and the big brain squad, the big guy himself said, "Those energon mines were a diversion that keep us from learning of what they were doing during this time.
"They knew we needed Energon and they knew with our growing numbers added with our disadvantage against the Decepticons they laid the bait while they covertly moved their forces." Elita said realizing they had been played for fools by the Radan.
"If that town is really bug central now then we need to take it down." Fowler said as he looked to the Autobots. "I have my boys on standby ready to do some pest control." Fowler added but Optimus begged to differ on this.
"Agent Flower though we were all deceived by the Radan's tactics but you know I cannot condone even a single human casualty then what already may have occurred." Optimus said as he was the same as Elita remembered him back then.
"Prime, Elita I want your teams and Nick handling this." Fowler said as he knew Nick was the best source of enemy intelligence at the moment. "If you can find any survivors then get them to safety." Fowler began and in turn Nick stepped in.
"What about the Pods with people inside them?" Nick asked getting Fowlers attention. "If there is a chance to stop their transformation before Radan can make them into slaves then..." Nick began and thus Fowler knew what Nick meant.
"I did say to secure any survivors." Fowler added and thus Nick knew this may be his chance to save lives he could not save last time.
"Understood Agent Fowler." Optimus said and thus the communication line ended. "Ratchet insert the coordinates and open the Ground Bridge." Optimus ordered and thus Ratchet nodded.
"Understood." Ratchet said and thus locked onto the provided coordinates. Once the Coordinates were entered Ratchet pulled the lever and thus opened the Ground Bridge.
"Autobots Transform and rollout!" Optimus called out and thus the Autobots transformed and drove through the portal with Jetfire charging through the Portal to keep up with his fellow Autobots. Nick jumped into Ironhide as they drove off to face Radan and stop their base construction in its tracks.
(Later Rising Hill Wisconsin)
The Ground Bridge opened up and from the portal the Autobots came out before entering Robot Mode once more. They had their blasters armed and ready with Elita holding a scanner in her free hand. "The original signal came from over there." Elita said as she pointed the scanner to a specific area of the town.
In turn Optimus took charge of this one. "Ironhide you and Jetfire accompany Nick to find the original signal, Autobots scour the area for any more. If you locate any hostiles defend yourselves and call for backup." Optimus said as he'd rather not risk losing any of his men.
"Alright kid lets go." Ironhide said before he took Nick and put him on his shoulder while Jetfire went with his assigned partner for this mission. That was until Nick noticed a gun store near them and thus had an idea. "Wait." Nick said as he then got back down curtesy of Ironhide. Once Nick got close he saw the windows and such were already broken and made his way into the gun store.
"What is he doing?" Moonracer asked and thus Nick came out with a handgun holstered on his right hip and an AR-15 in the other.
"Arming myself." Nick said as he also had another rifle slung over his back. "Don't want to transform and freak the survivor out." Nick said knowing full well he had to act human for others sake.
"Very well." Optimus said and thus Elita spoke up.
"Optimus I'll take my team to investigate the Radan plants hopefully we can secure them for Perceptor and Ratchet to analyze." Elita said knowing there were also people trapped in those pods as well.
"Understood Elita." Optimus said and thus the Bots moved out. Nick was accompanied by Optimus, Ironhide, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Jetfire while the Femme's all went with Elita for this mission.
(Meanwhile with the Femme's)
The Femme's had went to check on the plants and so far they had yet to be met with any problems. But as they walked they noticed the crystals sprouting from the ground and walls in the area. "Seems quiet, almost makes me think the cons are about to ambush us." Arcee said as she looked around for any sign of trouble.
"Exercise caution Autobots." Elita began as she led her team to the plants. "We are in enemy territory and in all likely hood they have the humans here as hostages." Elita said as she would not put it pass Radan to try using them as human shields.
"I have to ask Elita, how in the fragging pit are we supposed to secure the plants when we find them?" Moonracer asked as she had her blasters at the ready.
"Remove the Radan guarding it and hold them off until we can clear the town of them." Elita said as she led the group of Femme's with her.
"Wait look." Chromia began as she pointed to the Radan pods and saw how they were glowing. They walked over and to their horror they saw humans inside them in fetal positions as they were undergoing the transformation into Tekkaman.
"Well we found them and it looks like the initial augmentations have already started." Arcee said as she looked to the humans who seemed out of it no doubt due to the shocks to their bodies rendering them unconscious.
"Moonracer." Elita began as she looked to their sniper. "Set up a Sniper nest if anything that isn't from Earth or with the Autobots moves torts us I want to know." Elita ordered and thus Moonracer nodded.
"Got it!" She said before transforming and driving off to find a sniping position.
"Chromia, Firestar." Elita began but it seems they were already on it.
"Working on it." Chromia said as she carefully took what samples she could while avoiding any harm to the plant and risk the humans inside it.
"So now the worst part, the waiting game." Arcee said as she took her blasters out ready for any trouble that comes their way.
(Meanwhile Back with Nick and the Mech's)
Nick keep a close eye on everything around, searching for any survivors that might had hidden themselves from the Radan, but so far he only found were bodies of those who had died, the Radan didn't even bother to gather them or anything, just left them where they were killed.
With the Autobots carefully watch their step, so they don't crush anyone, even if they are dead, they knew the people remains should be respected, and hopefully put to rest in a proper grave after they can save the town somehow.
Optimus Prime keep his eyes out for anything from the Radan, but so far, there has been no sign of them… which worries him, but he wasn't the only one as Nick knew it was too quiet for anything and should have expected a bug guard of sort or even dagger, as no doubt he or any Radan would have sense nick and the Autobot's presence coming into the town, as Nick knows he is sensing them but they are hiding their own present, waiting for a signal of sort maybe, whatever it could be.
Soon enough on the tracker in Jetfire hand beep out as he said, "We're getting close to where the radio signal had originated from."
"Where?" Optimus asked with nick soon speak up as he stood on Ironhide's shoulder and pointed to an area as he said, "No need to tell where. It came from that tower over there."
He pointed to a radio tower that was down the road, and with a building next to it which was damage it seem as Jetfire said, "The kid is right that's the location."
"Then let us proceed with caution," Optimus said as they group advance forward towards the place as Ironhide said, "You seem to know your way around this place. Don't you nick?"
"That because I've been here before," Nick said as Bumble Bee buzz out a bit with Bulkhead said, "What do you mean you been here before?"
"This town is where I grew up with my family. My mother, my father, my little sister Shara, my twin brother Cain, my eldest brother Conrad, and Kathrine, Conrad's fiancé… We all lived here, in this town. I still remember it well and not a lot had change sense before my entire family, some close family friends, and many others were pick to colonize mars and be the first colony of Mars," Nick said as Ironhide soon ask, "So how did that happen?"
"The American government was doing project of deep space exploration, with the first step being colonization of inhabitable worlds to one day make them become habitable, and needed volunteers to do so, and they created a selection system, my dad was an engineer, my eldest brother was an officer in the military. We were naturally selected due to these reasons and offer them something they didn't turn down, with my brother, sisters, my eldest brother fiancé who was living with us, And I were just along for the ride, and similar reason with the family friends," Nick said as he remember everyone that came along, including a prick named Molotov, in a way he hope he doesn't see that guy ever, as it would be too see if he did.
"You family sound very impressive," Jetfire said as Nick nodded as he soon said, "Yea, but I didn't like all the testing that the government did on us as well as help us get into shape to survive it before we went up in space, and we were almost didn't go due to my sister."
"Was she sick or something?" bulkhead ask with Nick said, "No nothing like that. There was nothing wrong with her health, she was just… has a more gentle nature."
"What about your mother? You didn't say anything about what she does," Ironhide said as Nick stay silent for that before he looked very sadden before he said, "She died… almost 10 years ago in a fire."
Everyone stay quite after that as they heard that, with Nick remember what happen and what was told as he said, "She was a doctor that work at an old clinic, and I guess a bad wiring starting the fire. She didn't make it to the exit in time as the fire too quickly, and gotten trap in there, either died from the smoke or the entire building collapsing on top of her… no one knew which happen first."
Nick drop his head a bit as he knew his mother was in a better place now, but he cannot help but still misses her as Optimus said to him, "I'm sorry to hear, and you have my condolences. We have all lost friend and those we have consider family ourselves for one reason or another but know this Nick."
Nick look to the leader of the Autobots as he stops for a moment and turn to him as he said, "You are not alone anymore to hold this pain, of what you felt then and now we shall burden the pain as well."
Nick was surprise by Optimus when he said that, as he didn't know what to say as he just stay quiet and give a nod to the big bot himself as with them, the mech Autobots keep on walking down the streets until they reach the radio tower.
With nick coming down from Ironhide's hand as he held up the AR15, ready for anything as Optimus said to him, "We shall stay out here and watch out for any Radan. You do what you must and find any survivors."
"Got it," Nick said as he soon headed inside the building next to the radio tower, being a decent size building he was able to move around, looking in every room he come across.
"Hello, is there anyone here?!" Nick called out but there was no reply as he keep going looking, trying to find the transmitter but found nothing on the first floor, then he soon went up to the 2nd floor as he saw nothing out of the ordinary and called out again, "If there's any survivors, you can come out. I'm friendly and I'm here to help."
Nick stop for a moment as he felt something, as he turn to the last room at the end of the hall, he approach it slowly before putting his hand on it, giving it a light push as the door open up, and found the radio transmitter, but the area looks clean, no sign of a break in from the Radan, but clear sigh of someone that been there as he saw all the equipment move and used as he saw the smug of dust over them as he knew this place was an emergence broadcast system in case of natural disaster that could happen as he walk more into the room before he stop as he heard, "So you came in alone."
Nick pointed the rifle in the direction where the voice came from and saw someone sitting in a chair that was looking out a big window taking in the view of the town as Nick called out, "Who are you?"
The person soon stood up and turn around, surprising Nick of who he saw as he said, "Fritz!"
"I haven't heard that name in a while. But that's all in the past. Is that right, Blade?" Fritz said in such a way, as Nick suddenly became angry when he heard Fritz's tone of voice and knew who he was, as he pointed the rifle at him as he said, "Dagger!"
"You figured it out, but it's already too late," Fritz said as he held up a bomb device which was counting down with 10 seconds left on it, as nick knew right away what it was as he prepared to run while Fritz said to Nick, "AS you're the one who's history!"
Fritz throw the device as Nick quickly took off running with Fritz jump out the window, breaking it as the bomb device was counting down with to the last second with nick reaching the end of the hall and jump out a window that was there, the timer of the bomb hit Zero and exploded as nick soon jump out with a wave of fire following after him out the window.
The building was now on fire as the Autobots soon rushes to where Nick was at as Ironhide asked, "What happen kid?"
"Dagger, he's here!" Nick said as he gotten up and went after Fritz as the mech Autobots soon follow after him as Bulkhead called out, "Hey wait up kid!"
Unaware to them the Radan were coming out from their hiding spots with their eyes soon shine and give a hiss before they gave case.
(With Nick)
Nick still gave chase, going deep in the town, and soon catches up to Fritz, as the guy seem to have stop on purpose for some reason, as nick pointed the gun at him again with Fritz said it him, "Why aren't you using your power? The Radan blessed you with it and you're just letting them go to waste."
"Shut up! I never ask for them in the first place, and they wanted me to be a mindless killer, destroy everything that they said to destroy, take away my choices. For all of those reason, I will never side with the Radan!" Nick said with Fritz scoffed a bit as he thought it was a joke of some sort, with the Autobots soon catch up to them, as they listen to what Fritz soon said to Nick, "You don't seem to get it, after what the Radan had given us, we hold great power over other life forms, even greater than these Cybertronian given time. We can do things that no one else can as we are the new gods of this world and you act like this? Then again what would I expect from a traitor, blade!"
Nick grip his rifle greatly as his finger held stiff, trying not to fire unless necessary with Fritz soon said, "It why I also target this place Blade. The place where you came from, this is your punishment Blade, for fighting against the Radan as soon enough you will see this place burn!"
"Fritz!" Nick yell as he was about to fire until Optimus step in between him and Fritz as he said, "Please wait Nick, a life should not be taken as easily as what you were about to try to do."
Fritz smile at this in a weird mocking way as he wonder what this robot would try and say to him as Optimus said to Fritz, "I believe Nick has called you Fritz? Is this correct?"
"That what I was called before, but now I go by the name of dagger now," he said as he look to the big bot himself as he said to him, "And you must be the famous Optimus Prime I've been told about, but it's funny as I thought you would be bigger than this."
"Why are you doing this to your world, to your people, your home," Optimus said as Fritz scoff as he said, "Because this world is nothing but a waste and deserve to be strip of everything, with the people don't care about those who were once like me, but Radan given me power to overcome everything that stand in my way.
"I don't understand why you choose the Radan over your own people, the human are innocent and don't deserve such punishment," Optimus said as Fritz soon said to him, "Maybe, but at this point it doesn't matter anymore, I am a Radan, I am one of their greatest soldiers around, and I will be the one that will kill Blade."
"Please don't do this, turn away from your Radan masters, as it not too late to change who you are," Optimus said as Fritz soon pull out a crystal similar to Nick's but in a deep red color, no doubt to show who side he is with as he said, "Its already too late Prime as I side with the Radan, and they wish for the death of blade and your deaths as well!"
Fritz held up the crystal as he called out, "TEK-SETTER!" and like Nick, his clothing he was wearing vaporized as a red aura that took shape as the same as the red crystal he held before he shot up into the Air in his new form as he called out, "Tekkaman Dagger!"
Dagger held a hand over his helmet where a gash was there left by Nick/Blade when they last fought against each other as Dagger said, "Blade I still haven't forgiven you as this scar of mind I left unhealed on purpose... shall be avenged today!"
Dagger wave his hand out as suddenly some sort of crystals that were around the town started to glow and let out a loud ringing sound that effected not only Nick, but the Autobots as well before it faded away.
Nick was about to pull out his crystal, but suddenly he and the Autobots gotten attack by incoming Radan who attack the Autobots mostly as the mech team held pull out their guns and started blasting them as fast as they could.
"Nick, you better change now while you still have the chance!" Ironhide said as he did his best to keep Nick cover from enemies that was coming all around them, as Nick nodded to his as he pulled out his green crystal and held it up while calling out, "TEKK- SETTER!"
The transformation began as intended but it seems something was very wrong. The crystals surrounding the area all began to glow in response and with it came a screeching sound that made Nick's Tekk-Set Crystal spark. In turn Nick found what looked like spikes of energy coming at him from his own powers and thus halted the transformation in its tracks. It also caused Nick pain which he in turn screamed out as it felt like his body was being stabbed and electrocuted at the same time.
"I've got you now Blade." Dagger taunted as he saw Blade fell for it hook line and sinker.
"Kid!" Ironhide called out and saw what was going on while the energy was building to critical mass. By the end of it a massive explosion rocked the area forcing the Autobots to take cover from it as Nick was apparently at the center of it.
The destruction was minor thankfully as Nick began to cough a bit while on the ground. Clearly whatever had happened had interfered with his ability to become Tekkaman. When the smoke settled and the Autobots regained themselves Dagger was found standing over Nick sinisterly. "How unfortunate, Blade." Dagger taunted as he looked down on Blade.
"What did you do Fritz?" Nick asked as he glared at his former friend and crewmate.
"You're trapped in an interference Spectrum. It nullified the Tek System if you try to transform the energy you produce will spread and you'll end up hurting yourself." Dagger taunted making Nick go wide eyed to this.
Nick then looked to his Tek Set Crystal and to his shock cracks began to form on it. "Dammit." Nick cursed as he knew he had to get out of the Interference Field ASAP.
Dagger laughed sadistically as he pulled out an energy arrow. "The only thing awaiting you now, Blade is death." Dagger yelled as he glared down upon Nick. "But don't think I'll let you off with a painless death you are not worthy of that traitor." Dagger said as he glared down upon Nick.
"Not today punk!" Ironhide called out and thus fired upon Dagger and thus allowed Nick to get away.
"Ironhide try and get Nick outside the range of the field we shall provide cover!" Optimus called out as he fired upon the Radan as they came at him.
"You got it Prime." Ironhide said as he transformed into his vehicle form with the door open. Acting fast Nick jumped into the flat bed just before Ironhide began to drive off.
"You won't get away, Blade!" Dagger called out as he then began to give chase. The Autobots of course tried to interfere but the Radan were already upon them ready to fight. As Dagger gave chase as he would not allow the rogue Tekkaman to escape his grasp not at all.
(Over with the Femme's)
When the ground shook the femme's saw Radan coming from the ground snarling and roaring as it was clear they had been waiting for the signal. From afar Moonracer was firing down upon the Radan as the expert shot was hitting her targets with successive strikes.
"Autobots hold the line!" Elita called out and thus they got to work. First up came Arcee and Firestar as they charged in firing their blasters at the Radan. Once that was done Firestar drew her sword and held it in both hands before she began to expertly slash through the foes. Arcee did the same with her arm blades as the way she moved made both herself and Firestar out to be something of a Kunoichi and Samurai respectfully.
From the back Elita and Chromia fired down upon the Radan making sure to protect the humans whom they had already captured. As this went on one got to close opting Elita to convert one of her blaster hands to a sword where she stabbed one Radan and fired at another with her other blaster. Chromia of course made sure to provide aid as they held the line as much as they could.
"I'm getting the distinct feeling we walked into a trap." Chromia said as she knew how this played out.
"The Energon Mines was also for them to set this up?" Elita asked as she thought about it. "Sounds about right." Elita said as Moonracer kept firing her rifle from afar. "Hold the line we must not allow them to hold this town." Elita said as she may have to consider bringing the human military in on this.
(Back at the Base)
"Optimus what's going on?" Ratchet asked as he and Perceptor were working the transportation and communications positions. "Elita respond." Ratchet added as he knew something must have happened.
"Ratchet we have a situation, the mines and the town it was all a trap." Elita was heard as the two big brains were shocked by this.
"It is true old friend, Dagger had drawn Blade here knowing he would come and now he is unable to transform due to a Spectrum Field interfering with is ability to transform." Optimus explained and thus Ratchet and Perceptor got to work. "Nick is with Ironhide trying to get to the edge of the field so he may be able to transform." Optimus said and thus Perceptor jumped in.
"We will attempt to locate the source and deduce the maximum range of the field." Perceptor said knowing if they tried to bridge them back it may risk Radan or Dagger chasing them through a risk that logically must not be taken if it can be helped.
Hearing this Miko grew worried for Nick as she began to wonder if he was ok. "D-Boy!" Miko called out as she almost sounded panicked about this.
"Ratchet will Nick be ok?" Jack asked as he was worried for the guy even if he was kind of a jerk to them.
"I'm not sure Radan biotech is still an unknown field for me." Ratchet said as he was being honest with them.
"But we will do all that we can to assist them in their endeavors so Nick may transform and the Autobots may liberate that human settlement." Perceptor said as he also ran the numbers.
"Is there any way we can help our friends out there?" Miko asked and thus Ratchet sighed.
"No Radan's tech can only work on biological life forms which is what you, Jack, and Raf are." Ratchet explained as he tried to deter Miko from being reckless.
"I can keep an eye on his location." Raf said as he had his laptop opened as the map on it showed where Nick and Ironhide currently were.
Seeing an idea Perceptor went for Jetfire. "Jetfire I need you to keep aerial surveillance of the situation, any information you can provide that can find us either the source or the range of the field will be of tremendous assistance." Perceptor said as he knew it was their best shot.
"You got it Perceptor." Jetfire was heard before the call ended.
(Meanwhile with the Mechs)
Once they received the plan Jetfire charged and fired at a few Radan before humping up and transforming to jet form before he flew up to locate Nick and Ironhide. And if not those two then locate the source of the spectrum blocking Nick's ability to transform.
(Meanwhile over with Nick and Ironhide)
Nick was holding on the best he could in the back of Ironhide as he drive out of town as fast as he could, with Nick sees Dagger coming in fast, he lift the A.R he had and started to fire at Dagger.
With the bullets nicked at Dagger a bit before he started to avoid them, making Nick to run out of Ammo in the rifle before Nick switch over to the weapon he had sling on his back which was a combat pump shotgun as he rack it to load the first round and took aim at Tekkaman Dagger as he came closer, nick fires as the shots flew up as Dagger try to avoid it, the spread shot hit him at the side that made him lose his balance while flying for a bit letting Nick and Ironhide more time to run before dagger fix himself and keep on chasing them.
"I can't keep holding him off like this, as soon enough I will run out of shots," Nick said as he rack the shotgun again and fire another round at Dagger which he avoid it quickly which also slow him down a bit as Ironhide said, "Don't worry. We'll make it!"
"Blade!" Dagger yell out as Nick keep shooting at dagger trying to throw him off but Dagger adopted quickly around this as he keep going after them as he raise his weapon high before throwing it like a javelin ahead of them, with Ironhide saw it as he went, "Whoa!"
Ironhide try to avoid the weapon but wasn't able to do so in time as he collided with the weapon that made him swirled out of controlled and flip off his tires with Nick came flying out of the bed with all of his weapon being thrown around and out of his reach.
Ironhide soon transform into Robot mode to stop himself while nick flew into a very grassy area that soften his fall a bit while he groin in pain upon impact.
Dagger soon caught up to him as he landed before nick while also have his weapon in hand as he said to him, "I will make sure you suffer as much as I have Blade!"
Nick roll over fast as he had one last weapon on hand which was the pistol he grab as well and started to unload every shot at Dagger, which they hit, Dagger raise his hand to avoid being hit in the face by those bullets with Nick standing up quick and keep firing the pistol until it too ran out of bullets as he said, "Crap."
"You're out of ammo Blade, and there nowhere left for you to run," Dagger said as he was prepared to attack Nick until Ironhide came running in while also pull out his weapon and started to fire upon him, as he said, "Hey fight me instead!"
Dagger avoided him quickly and he came away from Nick with Ironhide covering him again as he said, "Keep going kid, I'll try to stall him here. You just keep running out of town, and as far away as you can."
"Ironhide," Nick said as he surprise the big guy would do this before he tighten his fist a bit as much he hated it, he must do it and started to run leaving Ironhide to face Dagger alone.
"You're a fool Cybertronian to face me alone," Dagger said to him as Ironhide had his weapon pointed at the Radan slave soldier as he said, "Maybe, but I have a score to settle with you, as after you throw that toothpick of your and made me crash, I want some payback."
"Ha, this will be too easy," Dagger said as he prepared himself as Ironhide soon fire upon him, the Tekkaman moved fast and avoided the shots as he soon reach Ironhide and slash at him.
(Nick)
Nick ran as fast as he could coming to the edge of town itself with some crystals were still nearby him, he keep running and didn't know how long the Spectrum Field could reach, as he was about run down a long stretch of road, hoping if he ran far enough he could try again to transform into Tekkaman Blade, but it seem something was waiting for him.
Up ahead, the road started to break apart and sink down before a Radan drone came up and block his way, as nick silent curse to himself as he realize he was in a bad situation right now and didn't know what to do as the only thing that came to his mind was to try transforming again.
(Jetfire)
The Plane transformers flew across the sky looking for Nick to see where he was at as he found Ironhide who was in rough shape but alright, but Nick wasn't with him.
He keep looking while looking at the crystals around the town as no doubt the those are causes of the Spectrum Field to form but not the source, as they were just in a human concept, "Speaker" to the main Source itself and knew destroying those things won't do much and too many to destroy as they spread out throughout the town itself as if they did start to shot them who know what damage they could cause, let alone the collateral damage itself that take to do it.
Jetfire soon reach the center of the town, and thought he had found the main source to the Spectrum Field itself. As Jetfire flew torts the source he saw it was large and had these large glowing fin like wings. "Ratchet I think I found the source." Jetfire said as he saw the growth. Just then the flying Radan began to come at Jetfire forcing him to use evasive maneuvers to avoid it. The flier saw that the way they attacked suggested they wanted to keep the flier away from the jet. "Yeap definitely found it." Jetfire said knowing enemies would protect something this bad unless it was important. "What are the odds destroying it will handle the crystals as well?" Jetfire asked as he needed numbers.
"Destroying the main conduit should cause the interference crystals to deactivate as well." Ratchet said as his tone suggested there was also a chance it might not be the case seeing as bio technology especially Radan's biotech was well beyond his area of expertise. "But you must hurry I fear Radan will not allow Nick the chance to transform." Ratchet said as he knew Nick's very life may depend on it.
"Affirmative, I'm moving in to attack." Jetfire said and thus flew at the growth while avoiding the Radan attack him.
(Meanwhile over with Nick)
Nick was seen running through the forest as he hid against a tree while catching his breath. He wasn't sure on how long he was running for but he did know that Radan was not going to give up on him so easily. He hadn't seen much of the crystals so it gave him some hope he may be able to transform again but he wasn't too sure about it. Regardless Nick wasn't going to give up so easily not so long as Radan existed.
Just then he heard movement and on instinct and reflex he rolled out of the way of a Radan attacking from behind the tree. As Nick did this he saw more were starting to show up and if he didn't do something soon he would be overrun by the Radan. Knowing he had no choice but to take the risk Nick looked at his crystal which still sported the cracks from his previous failed attempt to become Tekkaman. Nick quickly dodged an attack and put some more distance between himself and his foes he quickly came to realize he was running out of options to fight back with.
"TEKK-SETTER!" Nick invoked holding his crystal skyward to begin his transformation. But alas it would not be as soon with a screeching sound belonging to Radan Nick found the transformation was interrupted as once more spokes came at him and his body was electrocuted.
(With Dagger)
Dagger after he had escaped Ironhide began to laugh sinisterly as he saw that Nick was foolish enough to try transforming again. "This is it the end of Blade the Traitor, once the failed attempt to transform ends Radan will tear you limb from limb." Dagger taunted as he saw that he had won he had defeated the traitor Tekkaman Blade.
(Meanwhile over with Jetfire)
Jetfire flew at the growth after using flares to blind his attacks while arming a missile. "Eat this bugs!" Jetfire called out targeting his weapons upon the growth. He then proceeded to open fire upon the Radan plant interfering with Nick's ability to transform. Once the rockets hit their intended target they created a large gap in the stem that made it unable to sustain itself and continue functioning. It began to tip over and like a tree it fell to the ground. The reaction to this was expected as like a chain the crystals all over the town began to dim and go dull screeching a death screech.
(Back over with Nick)
Nick was trapped in his Emerald Crystal as he was wide eyed watching the Radan approaching him to finish him off. He didn't see a way out of this and if he were to transform now then in all likely hood Nick would lose his powers by the end of it. But even if he did survive Nick knew he was better off dead, he failed to finish the task his father entrusted to him. He failed them all, Cain, Shara, Conrad, Kathrin, and even Fritz he failed to avenge them all. And now Nick was at the mercy of the enemy of mankind and if the Autobots failed to stop them Radan would be another world torn asunder by the Radan.
Dagger watch as things unfolds as he sees Nick/blade was about to be torn apart by the Radan as he said, "Blade, When you die, I'll make sure your corpse is displayed to remind those who resist again the Radan as well show those what happens to traitors!"
The Radan were upon Nick as he just close his eyes and waited for the end to happen… then suddenly when all the nearby crystals went dim, the crystal started to glow, forming a barrier around him as it not only vaporizing his clothing once again, but it also pushing back the Radan that was upon him, with Dagger surprise by this event as he said, "What?"
He turn and look to the distant to where the giant plant that controls the Spectrum Field was now a pile of smothering ashes as he look to see Jetfire flying away from the site, he grip his hand tightly as he said, "Damn you Cybertronians!"
A light that shine from Nick, as Dagger turn back and saw standing there now was Blade with his weapon out and ready to fight as he said, "Tekkaman Blade!"
Suddenly the Radans from before charge at him without a 2nd thought, with Blade run through them as he cut them in half as he said, "Move out of the way!"
With Blade slash through another one as he called out, "Dagger where are you?!"
Soon enough Blade taken down all the Radan that surrounded him, taking a moment to catch his breath before Dagger landed on the ground for a bit to face again Blade as he said, "I never expected you to transform with the help of theses Cybertronians. That was a grave miscalculation on my part."
Blade hears the sound of battle as the Autobots were still fighting against the Radan and were slowly getting overrun as many leap at Optimus while the rest were holding the line with the Femme were holding out well but they were getting attack by more Radan that came out of the ground as Blade said, "Everyone!"
Dagger soon call forth his own forces as more flying Radan came forth and flew at Blade, about to overpower him by their numbers alone, but Blade leap up to avoid them, with his energies charging up his strongest weapon, with his shoulder pad soon opens up as Blade called out, "VOLTEKKER!"
The beam managed to atomize several Radan that got in his way and had hit the ground near Dagger forcing him to fall back. But once he regained himself he saw Blade was flying off back to the town. "What are you doing Blade?!" Dagger demanded as he glared at his foe. "Don't you dare, flee our, battle!" Dagger called out but it fell to deft ears. "Heh I supposed it matters now, you may not realize it but this is your end Blade." Dagger said as he saw Tekkaman fly off.
(Over with Blade)
As Tekkaman Blade flew he felt his powers were waning as he flew to where he knew the nest was located. "Don't tell me." Blade thought as he realized that he won't have much longer to remain transformed. He in turn flew as fast as he could hoping to at least take out the nest before he was forced to revert.
(With the Autobots)
After Optimus and his team managed to break through the ambush Ironhide drove in and transformed into Robot Mode. "Optimus!" Jetfire was heard as he flew overhead.
"Report." Optimus responded as he knew Jetfire must have found something.
"I've managed to locate the nest where they breed their drones and I have a clear shot of it." Jetfire said as he flew overhead as he went for the nest.
"We must not allow the Radan to gain a forward command base on the planet, you have permission to engage Jetfire." Optimus said and thus Jetfire understood.
(With Jetfire)
Jetfire flew for the nest and got ready to do some damage when he saw a familiar beam of emerald light. From the side Tekkaman Blade showed up as he went for the nest as well. Seeing this Jetfire locked onto the target and got ready to fire his remaining rockets. Once he had the target Jetfire opened fire a full volley to take out the nest.
Blade seeing opted to do the same even if it will drain more of his remaining power. "One more I can only use it once more." Nick said as he took aim. "VOLTEKKA!" He invoked and once more fired the shoulder beams and thus the combined attacks destroyed the nest and all the developing Radan inside it atomizing most if not all of them and killing those few that remained. Blade began to fly back as Dagger saw this upon his arrival.
"NO!" Dagger called out and thus found himself nearly shot by the sniper Moonracer as the Autobots began to surround him. It was clear Dagger could not win this battle with his remaining forces and thus had to swallow his pride and run for it. Dagger activated his boosters and with a few of his Radan flew off. Jetfire and the Autobots fired but only managed to hit the Radan as they covered Dagger.
(On the ground with the Autobots)
Despite taking out several of the drones Dagger still managed to get away from them. The Autobots regrouped as did Blade who had yet to revert back into Nick. Looking around it brought sorrow to the Autobot Leaders Spark to see the needless destruction Radan had caused in their quest for universal conquest. Despite this Elita walked over and took her beloved's hand to comfort him and silently remind the Prime he did all he could. Seeing this Optimus knew they won the battle and hopefully will have a chance to save those trapped inside the plants. "Ratchet open a ground bridge we are returning now." Optimus ordered over the communicator and thus the Autobots all began to return to base.
(Later Autobot Outpost Omega 1)
The Autobots arrived as Perceptor was already informing Fowler over a secure line on their victory. Clearly Perceptor was deep in work to provide Fowler's people to means to protect themselves from the Radan plants so to save the developing Tekkaman inside. Arcee, Firestar, Jetfire, and Bulkhead all carried samples for the big brains of the group to analyze.
But as Blade walked in he then flew over to Ratchet surprising the Autobot. "Ratchet I don't have time I need you to lock onto Dagger's coordinates and open a bridge while we still have his fix!" Blade called out almost panicked as he hadn't even reverted yet.
"I can't he's moving too fast for me to get a proper fix, by the time I do so he's already have gotten too far for me to send you." Ratchet tried to reason as he didn't see why Blade was in such a state to go after Dagger again.
"Ratchet!" Blade called out as the Autobot Doctor knew it was impossible.
"I can't." Ratchet held his ground and thus Blade backed off and landed on the ground as the three other humans went over to him.
"Dude what is gotten into you?" Miko asked and thus Blade went wide eyed and stumbled back while grabbing his head.
AS Blade stumbled Jack pushed Miko behind him as he did with Raf worried Blade may have stayed transformed for too long. But instead of going berserk like most would expect Blade's body was covered by the image of his Tekk-set Crystal cracks included. But alas that would not last though as soon the form shattered leaving only Nick bare skin and all falling over just before his Tekk-Set Crystal fell to the ground shattered much to everyone's shock.
As Nick fell Miko acted and caught the nude boy before he could hurt himself. "D-Boy!" Miko called out as she looked to Nick only to see his Tekk-Set Crystal shattered. "Wow dude your crystal." Miko said as Nick realized what had happened.
"Dagger knew this would happen." Nick gasped realizing what this was. "If he couldn't kill me at least he'd make sure I couldn't transform ever again." Nick said as this was a bad state they were in now. Grabbing his crystals shards and thus his rage reached his peek as he let out a roar of rage and anguish knowing without his powers he couldn't keep his promise.
As they saw this Perceptor currently had the files of the data he had gathered thus far on the Radan. As he saw this his mind was already at work trying to figure out a way to give Nick back his powers. It was ironically what he had read on Earth's stories of Knights and their noble steeds that proved to be the basis of his plan to restore Nick's powers. But until then they can only hope that they can hold off Radan without Nick while he is currently out of commission for the foreseeable future. Still Miko despite Nick being nude held him close as right now it was all he could do for the Tekkaman. She may not seem like it but she was smart enough to know when her normal state was bad and unwelcomed and when it was. This was a time where it was not welcomed. They lost of their heavy hitters and their chief edge against the Radan. Without Blade to stand in their way it was only a matter of time before Radan began their counter attack against Earth and its current protectors.
