So I've been feeling a little stressed out lately I think it may be at least partly Seasonal Affective Disorder with this winter being one of the coldest ones I've ever known (Normally I prefer the cool of winter because I'm sensitive to heat, but now I'm thinking 'Not like this! Not like this!') but it's also likely I'm stressed out over some problems and I remembered listening to a Podcast where a lady was discussing her Mom not recovering from an illness and when she went to check on her Mom she discovered her Mom was Non-Stop watching Dramas so she got her Mom some Three Stooges Movies and Weird Al music and I'm starting to realize I might need a dose of Vitamin C for Comedy.

Splinter noticed Vanessa had turned on the TV to the local news, he went over to her.

"I think..." Splinter said "...It would be better if you watched something else at the moment, something that will help you relax, I fear if you become too stressed it may...Harm you in some way."

Vanessa flipped through the channels until she found a show featuring the classic Three Stooges shorts.

"How do you guys get cable anyway?" Vanessa asked

"That is Donatello's doing." Splinter said "I can not say I even begin to understand how it works."

Meanwhile, the Turtles got in their 'Battle Shell' Truck to drive to the apartment complex, there disguised in their fedoras and trenchcoats, the Turtles got to the partch of grass besides the apartment building, Don had his handheld Mutagen detector.

"I'll go first." Don said "We don't know what this mutagen is or what effect it might have on us, don't want any of you to accidentially step in it."

Since they learned from Don's double mutation incident, a Mutant having two kinds of mutagen in his or her system will become fatal if not cured the other three Turtles were certainly not wanting to go through what Don had to go through.

Don followed his mutagen tracker to the spot, he put on some rubber gloves and began digging, he didn't find ooze or slime exactly but the soil he gathered had bright blue sparkles like those slinky dresses you might see on a lady at an auto show.

"Huh." Don mused as he placed the sparkling soil in a test tube to analize later "This is...Interesting."

"What did you find Donny?" Leo asked

"Well," Don said as he came back "New mutagen color, first our green one, than the pink one from our alternate selves' world now this one appears to be blue."

"So..." Raph said "..Eventually we'll have an ooze rainbow?"

"And either there is very little of the mutagen left..." Don said holding up a vial of mostly brown dirt with blue sparkles intermixed "Or this is all there was and it takes very little to cause mutation."

Meanwhile at Protteus Inc, Jonathan was given a large laboritory and samples of the Goop to study, Judith Noble said he could have as many assistants as he needed, Jonathan said he would rather work alone for the time being.

Meanwhile both Jervis and Edward were given different tasks.

"I know about your chips you created that can control the brains of both humans and animals." Noble said to Jervis "As much of the tales of what you did with your discoveries sicken me, the fact you understand the brain well enough to control it could come in handy...We seek to capture wild mutants for further study, your mind control technology could at the very least keep them docile while in captivity."

Even with the creepy things he had done, most of all using his mind control chips on a co-worker he was smitten with Jervis felt the blood drain away from his face upon hearing this, this he felt in the pit of his gut was beginning to cross the line for him using his chips on what were clearly intelligent beings so they wouldn't fight back against captivity and torture this was going into 'Mengele' territory. Jervis also remembered when Joker had used his own technology against him keeping out cold while he stole the chips to get some revenge on some TV comedians for not giving him a trophy!

"As for you Mr. Nygma..." Noble said "...We haven't figured it out just yet, as we haven't much need for toys and games..."

(Edward felt himself getting a bit hot under the collar for being dissmissed for being a toymaker)

"...But perhaps you can create a virtual reality training simulation for our Mutant Creations."

Edward felt more than a bit insulted that he was being relgated to making video games for some Mutant Mutts.

For his part, for a few minutes Jonathan just sat in his new Lab, frozen even though Jonathan frequently claimed he was a complete nihilist and misnathrope who didn't care about anyone but himself, in the pit of his scrawny, lean and hungry gut something about this whole situation stunk to high heaven and for some reason he didn't like it, he didn't want to be a part of it, and he didn't know why, he scared animals particurally as a child, as an adult he claimed scaring humans was far superior so what of animals that were clearly as intelligent as humans?

"What's the matter with me?" Jonathan asked as he clutched his head "I've never cared about anyone before, why now?"

So in contrast to previous stories where Jonathan has some character to become soft and mushy over here it is more mysterious as there is no particular 'someone' to care for and yet Jonathan is feeling pangs of sympathy towards a someone he knows will come if he continues this assignment but hasn't met yet
