So Googled who the Black Widow in A Bug's Life was, her name is Rosie, I remember when first watching A Bug's Life as a kid the only circus bugs I remembered were Francis the Ladybug and Heimlich the Caterpiller and perhaps to a lesser extent the Rhinoceros Beetle Dim
When the Turtles came back to the lair, Splinter had decided had decided to test to see if Vanessa could consume non-meat foods by making her a bowl of chicken noodle soup.
Vanessa found she could eat it all, chicklen, noodles and vegetables. As the Turtles walked by, Don showed her the test tube of soil with blue sparkles.
"Did you noticed anything like this?" Don asked
"No." Vanessa said "I didn't notice anything blue and sparkly, my eyes were on the tree where my shoes were under."
"And you're pretty sure you didn't...Feeel anything slimy?" Don asked
"All I rememember was the intense pain of the spider bite." Vanessa said
"OK." Don sighed "Well maybe this is enough of a clue to figure out what happened..."
Meanwhile at Proteus Inc, Jonathan was studying some of the Goop, under a microscope, and upon closer inspection he could see...Lines in the Goop, they resembled brain cells.
'If Jervis were the one looking at this,' Jonathan thought to himself 'He'd probably be saying 'Curiouser and Curiouser' grumbling aside, Jonathan realized that this substance was nothing like anything he had encountered before, he wasn't sure any of his chemical knowladge was of any use to him now, this stuff might not even be of Earthly origin! And the possiblity of this being of extra-terrestrial origin was a frightening possibility and he did not want to admit he was frightened of anything!
"If perhaps I could see this stuff in action..." Jonathan mused to himself "...If I could observe the process of change in an Animal's flesh..." Unfortunatly he had been informed that such an experiment was off the table, that only Noble and her select few were in charge of the Mutation Process, that said to Jonathan that Noble had quite a few things to hide, things she didn't want to admit about the mutation process.
Jonathan rubbed his tired eyes, why was he even here? Because he was low on funds and he was beginning to feel none of his evil plans would ever bare fruit.
He had once attempted to reform, to go back to the simple life of a teacher and for a while it seemed like he had found happiness, but then some thug decided to hurt his favorite student and so Scarecrow once again donned the Scarecrow costume to teach the brute a lesson, and of course Batman had been watching him the entire time and stopped him and had him taken back to Arkham.
'Who are you Jonathan Crane?' A voice inside him seemed to ask 'What are you really?'
Jonathan turned violently from the voice asking prying questions and decided to go to the galley or some refreshments.
Meanwhile Don having an even smaller sample of the mutagenic substance was having even less luck finding out what it was.
This really distressed him because he felt like he had basically promised Vanessa he would find a cure for her.
He looked over his shoulder, Mikey seemed to no longer feel any fear towards the Spider Girl knowing she was just as much as a dork as he was, he was currently showing her his collection of CDs.
"Is it OK if I listen to some of these?" Vanessa asked
"Sure!" Mikey said "Go ahead!"
Just then breaking news came on the TVs
"This just in!" Said the Reporter "A few days ago, three of Gotham's most notorious criminals the Scarecrow, the Riddler and the Mad Hatter escaped from Arkham Asylum...We have just gotten an anonymous tip saying they may have headed to New York City!"
Obviously got to get the two plot threads together so normally requires some sort of push
