Chapter Eighteen
A/N: I do not own anything other than my OCs when they come out to play. Everything else belongs to either Disney or the Greek Myths!

Milah sighed softly as she held her son. It was honestly amazing to see he was here in the world, in her arms.
"Hello my little one," she said softly, gently running a finger over Harry's cheek. "You're mama's sweet boy aren't you?"
Harry cooed softly and unless it was Milah's imagination, he seemed to lean toward her touch. But it was likely her imagination. Harry wasn't even a day old, how could he be expected to know who she was?
"You ready for visitors love?" Hook asked, poking his head into the door. He had walked Anastasia out, still incredibly giddy over the birth of their son. Though Milah knew from the experience with Harriet's birth, it was more than likely due to them having a healthy child rather than having a boy.
"Of course, and so is Harry," Milah said just as Harry cooed softly.
Hook smiled before opening the door a bit wider for Jess and Harriet to walk in. "Alright you two, you can sit next to mama on the bed but you need to be careful with your brother alright?"
"But…I thought mama was going to have a girl?" Harriet asked. "Me and Jessie are girls."
"I know honey," Milah said, giving her daughter a small smile. "But just because you're both girls that doesn't mean that you can't have a brother. Right?"
"…I…I guess not," Harriet said.
"And now that the baby's here, he's going to need his big sisters to look out for him. At least until he's old enough to look out for himself," Milah said. "Do you think you two can do that for me?"
"Uh huh mama!" Harriet nodded, perking up at the thought of being able to do something for her mom. "I'll look after the baby!"
"What's his name mama?" Jess asked. "Me and Henry can help too! Henry got Lady Ana for you!"
Milah smiled at her daughters. "Well we'll make sure to thank Henry for that, Anastasia was a big help at making sure your brother got here safely. And his name is Harry."
Just then, Harry cooed softly as he looked up at his sisters; opening up his eyes to the world.
"His eyes are like yours mama!" Harriet said. "Why aren't they like mine or Jessie's?"
"Cause someone has to make sure your mama doesn't get left out," Hook said with a small chuckle. "It wouldn't be fair if she was the only one in the family with her eyes now would it?"
"…No…you're right papa, it wouldn't be fair to mama," Harriet said, nodding slightly before pausing. "When can he spar?"
Both Hook and Milah couldn't help but chuckle at that. "It won't be for a while my love," Milah told her daughter.
"Really?" Harriet frowned. "But he'll miss out on all the fun!"
"Well when he's able to walk, you'll be able to teach him how to spar," Milah told her. "Plus he'll have Lord Hades' child to have as a sparring partner."
"And Sammy! Don't forget Sammy mama!"
"Oh no, of course not," Milah said, shaking her head. "I would never want to forget Sammy."
"Good," Harriet said, crossing her arms. "Papa says a good captain doesn't forget their First Mate after all."
Milah couldn't help but smile as she heard that. "Of course not…but I thought Jess would be your First Mate?"
Harriet shook her head. "Jessie and I will captain together, mama! Sammy'll be our First Mate!"
"No!" Jess shook her head. "You have Sammy for your First Mate, Henry will be my First Mate!"
"Oh…that makes sense!" Harriet nodded. "That way, Sammy doesn't have to do extra work for two captains!"
Milah sighed and looked over at Hook. "They're three, James. Did you have to start teaching them how to be pirates at three?"
"They're never too young to start, love," Hook shrugged.
"Papa's been reading us the Code!" Harriet said with a grin. "Every day before nap time and before bed time!"
Milah sighed once more. "James…if I wasn't holding our son…"
"I know love," Hook nodded and gave Milah a small smile. "But you can't blame me can you? Can't have the kids of Captain James Hook not knowing the Pirate Code?"
"…Why do I have the feeling you'll be teaching Hades' kid the code too?"
"If they're going to be in Harry's crew, they're going to have to know the code!"
"Yeah mama!" Harriet and Jess both nodded.
Milah shook her head but smiled as Harry cooed softly. "Is that right? You want to know the Pirate Code like your sisters?"
Jess and Harriet looked at each other, silently making a promise to the other. They'd teach their brother all they knew so that he could survive on the Isle.
They'd be the best crew ever.
"Mama…why is his name so close to mine?" Harriet asked after a few minutes.
Milah couldn't help but chuckle at the memory of Harriet's birth, at the look that had been on Hook's face as he realized the baby he'd been calling a 'son' for nine months was really a daughter.
"His name's so similar to yours because this was the name we were going to call you had you been a boy," she told her daughter.
"Really?"
"Yep," Hook nodded as he sat down on the edge of the bed. "But just like the world can only have one Harry James Hook, it can only have one Harriet Milah Hook and we're really happy we were able to get you to be that one."
Harriet grinned before glancing at her twin sister. "What about Jessie? Did she have a name you wanted to call her before picking Jessie?"
Milah paused, unsure how to answer that question. How could she say there was another name when there hadn't been one?
"Well we didn't know you'd be a twin lassie so we didn't know we'd need another name," Hook said, noticing his wife's pause. "But when we saw your sister, we just knew she looked like a Jessica. Plus young Sammy's mama helped with delivering your sister so that's why we had her middle name be 'Mollie'."
"Oh…okay!" Harriet said with a small smile as Harry cooed again.
"…Calmest. Baby. Ever," Hook said as he looked down at his son. "I'd have thought he'd be crying his lungs out or something. Didn't Harriet and Jess used to do that?"
"Give him time dear," Milah said before giving Hook a look that clearly said do not compare our children to each other.
Hook nodded, understanding the look that came from his wife. "Right, right. Still though, shouldn't he be crying?"
Harry started to let out a small whimper at that, causing Milah to give Hook another look.
"You're the one who wanted him to cry, you can go get him a bottle of formula from the kitchen," she said.
"I can get it mama!" Harriet said, scurrying off the bed before Milah could say anything.
"Hold it little missy," Hook said, catching Harriet's collar on his hook as she ran past him. "It's admirable that you want to help your mama but making the bottle for your brother requires using the stove. Are you able to use the stove yet?"
"…No…" Harriet said, her voice soft. "Mama won't let me, she says I'm too young."
"And she's right about that," Hook nodded. "The last thing we want is for you or your sister or your brother to get hurt because you tried to grow up too fast. But how about this? You can help me make your brother's bottle by getting me the ingredients and I can use the stove to make it."
"Deal!" Harriet said, her eyes lighting up at the thought of being able to help her papa.
"Then come on, let's get that bottle made before Harry's whimpers turn into full blown cries," Hook said and scooped Harriet up into his good arm before walking out of the room.
Milah smiled and looked down at Harry. "Don't worry Harry, your papa's going to be right back with some food for you. Just hold on a little longer okay?"
"Yeah Harry, don't you worry," Jess nodded. "Mama and papa won't let you go hungry. They won't let any of us go hungry. That's how you know you have a good mama and papa."
Milah's smile turned slightly sad as she heard those words. Not because she didn't want her daughter to comfort her brother but because Jess was far too young to need to be able to understand hunger or the situation on the Isle.
"…Henry's mama doesn't get a lot of food," Jess said softly, noticing the look on Milah's face. "She gives him what she can but sometimes Henry still is hungry so I'll…I'll give him some of my food from Ursula's if papa takes us on the ship for lunch."
"Hey, hey," Milah said, making sure the sad smile wasn't on her face and that Jess only saw the proud smile. "That's very sweet of you to do but it shouldn't be your responsibility to make sure Henry gets food. That should be his mama and papa's."
"His papa's not a papa though, according to Henry," Jess said and Milah sighed. She'd prevented James from killing Henry's father once when he found out about the crew mate slacking on his parental duties but if James found out now?
There'd be no stopping him from tossing Henry's father overboard into the crocodile infested waters below.
"Jess?"
"Yes mama?" Jess asked, tilting her head.
"Can…can we keep Henry's papa not acting like a papa between the two of us for now?" Milah asked, glancing at the door to make sure they weren't overheard. "At least until I can talk to your papa about it."
"Yes mama," Jess nodded. "Henry didn't even want me telling you, he said his mama said it was supposed to be a secret. You…you won't tell Henry that I told you will you?"
Milah smiled and leaned over as best as she could to give her daughter a gentle kiss on the head. "I promise sweetheart, it'll be our secret," she said just as Harry whimpered softly.
"Ours and Harry's you mean," Jess said with a small giggle.
"I think you're right there Jess," Milah said, bouncing Harry slightly as to keep the baby calm. "James? What's the status on that bottle?"
"Coming up right now love," Hook called back and Milah smiled as Hook came into the room, a bottle in his hand and a slightly pouting Harriet trailing him.
"Aww, now why the long face darling?" Milah asked as Harriet climbed back up onto the bed.
"She wanted to be the one to carry the bottle in," Hook explained as he handed the bottle to Milah.
Milah gave Harriet a small smile as she took the bottle. "Oh now don't worry sweetheart. I'm sure there'll be more than enough chances for you to bring your brother a bottle in the future. Babies get hungry really quickly you know?"
"They do?" Harriet asked, the pout and her bad mood forgotten at the thought of having another chance to help her mama.
Milah nodded. "Of course, they're still growing after all. So they need to eat more than you or your sister, or even me and your papa."
"Oh…that makes sense," Harriet nodded. Milah chuckled softly before finally giving Harry his bottle. A bottle the young baby took eagerly.
"Looks like he was hungry after all," Hook said, shaking his head slightly at how fast Harry was taking his bottle. "Slow down lad, it won't be the last time you have food I can promise you that."
"Now, now, James," Milah told him. "It's been a rather exciting day for Harry here, it's understandable that he'd be a bit hungry after all that's happened."
"I feel like 'exciting' is an understatement when describing the day of one's birth."
"Is the little one up for more visitors?" Mollie's soft voice seemed to carry from the doorway, cutting off whatever Milah was going to say as she looked over to see Mollie and Smee standing there.
Looks as though Hades got roped into babysitting, Hook thought with a small smile at the image such a thought provided. However that wasn't necessarily a bad thing since small children and the Underworld wasn't exactly a pairing that one normally thought of.
"Of course," Milah said. "Come on in Mollie, William. Where's Sammy?"
"She didn't want to leave Henry all alone with Lord Hades," Smee said as they made their way to stand next to Hook.
Milah chuckled and shook her head. "Honestly, Lord Hades wouldn't harm Henry…but I can't fault him from being a bit intimidated."
"Yes, yes, a three year old being afraid of the God of the Dead is all adorable and whatnot but I think Smee and Mollie would rather see our son," Hook said with a small chuckle.
"Oh! Right," Milah said and shook her head once more. "William, Mollie, I'd like you to meet the newest member of the Hook family. Harrison 'Harry' James Hook."
Smee smiled as he looked down at Harry. "Why…he's got your hair Captain! Or at least the beginnings of your hair."
"I know what you meant Smee," Hook chuckled as the little wisps of black hair on Harry's head fluttered around. "But yeah, the lad'll have my hair when he grows up. My hair and Milah's eyes it looks like."
"Well that's an excellent combination," Mollie said with a smile as she looked over at Harry. "Your papa never stopped saying you'd be a boy, and now he's going to be quite insufferable for being right this time."
"I wouldn't say I'll be insufferable…" Hook said.
Mollie shook her head. "Trust me Captain, I've only lived in the same home as you for three years now. I think I can tell when you'll be insufferable."
"Papa's not sufferable!" Harriet exclaimed, shaking her head.
"Yeah!" Jess nodded as Harry cooed around his bottle.
Hook chuckled. "Seems my children disagree with you there Mollie," he said, giving Milah a small smile which she readily returned. She knew her husband wouldn't be insufferable about being right about Harry being a boy because he knew as well as she did that might lead to the girls wondering if he was sad they were girls.
And Milah knew that wasn't the case. Yes, her husband might have thought Harriet would be a boy but in terms of survival on the Isle or as a member of a pirate crew? Everyone needed to know how to defend themselves. There'd be no hiding from a fight like they'd do in Auradon.
Even if, and Milah would deny she ever thought this should someone ask, but a part of her wished her children would have the chance to hide from a fight. To know what it was like to just be kids. To…to feel the sun on their faces and the wind in their hair as they sailed the world on their frigate that flew.
Harry cooed once more, bringing Milah's attention back to the moment at hand and she smiled down at her son. Maybe he wouldn't feel the wind in his hair but just like with her daughters, Milah would make sure the Isle didn't harden her son.
He would stay her happy boy if she had anything to say about it.
