OK in this story I'm going to try to be more true to Mr. Zulli's original intent with Desolation in which he is an enigmatic figure posing to the Mutant Turtle the riddle of himself, Desolation is supposed to be a trickster not specifically malevolent of benevolent

This swimming pool was for the 'Bad Boy' Mutant Dogs to swim, hearing the buzz of human voices outside the door Vanessa knew she couldn't go outside just yet, but there might be clothes in this room, if she had been paying attention to what the voices outside were saying she would have heard them saying things about the gaurds reporting suspicious noises and that two of the Gotham Rogues were nowhere to be found, they were seriously considering putting the whole place on lockdown.

Instead Vanessa walked around the pool and at one end of the rectangular pool, AHA Jackpot! A laundry basket with some swim trunks inside! They were all blue Speedo swim trunks, the Dogs only wanted the bare minimum coverage so they could feel as close to au naturel as possible when swimming leaving their furry legs completely bare. Really if she thought about it, these swim trunks probably weren't the best for these intellectual supervillains but at the moment to her, it was either these or having those Supervillains' nethers be burned into her five retinas for the rest of eternity...

She crept towards the door and listened, no voices, no footsteps, she opened the door and dashed as fast as she could back towards the decontamination showers.

When Edward and Jonathan saw what she had found when she slid the laundry basket over to them, they were not pleased.

"Swim trunks?!" Edward exclaimed "Speedos?!"

"Some people were coming down the hall..." Vanessa explained "...I had to get away, I opened the first door I saw and it was the swimming pool room!"

"We can't walk around wearing these!" Edward fumed "Go back and find some proper clothes!"

And that point the frazzled Spider-Girl was reaching the end of her limits hot tears were beginning to sting all five of her eyes.

"You don't know what I've been through!" She yelled "I only came across you two because I've been trying to find the three other Mutant Turtles, after the one who stayed behind to babysit me got attacked by this weird demon crow!"

"Whoa! Whoa!" Jonathan said quickly "Did you see Demon Crow?! Did it have a skull for a head?"

Vanessa stopped crying "Yes! How did you know?"

"Because I had dreams of a similar crow!" Jonathan said "My first hint that something wasn't quite right about this place...You said it attacked him?"

"It's like the room suddenly became cold, and we saw the crow above us, it said some weird stuff and then dived at Mikey and seemed to...Go into his chest..."

"This...Mikey...Is the Turtle I presume?" Jonathan said

"Yes." Vanessa said "He's been out cold ever since, but it seemed like he has a fever, and put him in a bathroom hoping he would be safe there!"

Jonathan and Edward exchanged worried glances,

"Well..." Jonathan sighed trying to hide his own fear "...You better lead us to him, I'm a Psychologist I'm not sure if I can do anything about the Supernatural but...At the very least...I want to look at him...Maybe we can help you find the other three Turtles. For the time being we'll have to make do with just wearing these swim trunks..."

What had been going on with Mikey this entire time? For the first few minutes after Desolation entered him Mikey was just floundered in what felt like pure dark and pure cold, there was a bit of the quality of a fever dream in which he felt he was going around and around the same feeling, the same sensation and he couldn't get out!

"Oh..." Mikey groaned "...Cold..." And then he opened his eyes in the dream, he was sitting on a strange pillar one of many pillars at first they seemed to be made of stone but something about them also seemed...Organic, a dark desolate sky above

Feeling almost regressed to a childlike state of mind, in this Dreamscape Mikey sat up and yelled

"FATHER!"

In the original comic the Turtle says 'Master' but here since it is the 2003 Turtles and they do call Splinter Father on certain occastions sort of to highlight how vulnerable Mikey is right now
