So once again I'm drawing out Mikey's Soul Journey for maximum drama (And possibly to pad out the chapter)
As the strange ritual happened, with the Mutants covering Mikey with flowers and Splinter getting ready to chant a prayer to drive away demons...Mikey's bizzare dream quest continued
"LIES!" Mikey spat as his response to the Demon Crow's claim that this horrible barren place was his soul "You're just trying to confuse me!" Mikey was beginning to sound more like Raph by the minute "You're DEAD you weird goony bird!"
"DEAD! Dead?" Cawed Desolation "Coming from you that's really funny!"
"I repeat..." The Demon Crow said beginning to take flight again "...Wise up...Grow up...Give up..."
"No!" Mikey yelled as he started to run "I'm a warrior! I'll never yield to you!"
"Your wish is my command Tadpole..." Desolation chuckled as he rose into the sky "Run."
Meanwhile...Vanessa had just about finsihed her drawing she just blew off the last of the dust left by the last erasing and showed it to Jonathan.
"My, my..." Jonathan said as he took the drawing into his hands "...I'm not sure what to make of of it, but I can see it is very well drawn..."
He took a moment to take the image in, Vanessa's drawing was what appeared to be...Some kind of Angel with three sets of wings, however while the angel's wings and gown were white, the Angel had long dark hair that fell to her shoulders, dark, hooded eyes and a dour expression on...Her? Face.
"You like it?" Vanessa asked "That...Angel...Is kind of a reappearing character in my artwork she doesn't really have a name, I just kind of like drawing angels, maybe it's because I really liked watching All Dogs go to Heaven as a little kid and maybe it might have been influenced by the people on Anime forums I talked to about that Final Fantasy video games series and that 'One winged angel' thing not that I'd really know, I'm not a video game kind of person...The only video games I were ever able to win were edutainment games where there was no risk of dying.
Edward had mostly been sitting sullenly by himself but the mention of 'video games' caught his attention.
"A recurring figure in your artwork..." Jonathan said as he stroked his chin he was looking at the Mutant Spider-Girl thinking about what kind of juicy thoughts her obviously tormented artist soul harbored "Did your artwork have any kind of...Narritive to it? Does this Angel have any kind of story?"
"I mean..." Vanessa was feeling really bashful that an a person she was seeing face to face was taking an interest in her artwork and it wasn't just faceless comments on her online portfolio "I draw a lot of pictures of battle scenes and she frequently appears hovering over the battle scene like she's a grim...Angel of Death...I mean I never really came up with a concrete story I just drew what I thought looked cool."
"Drawing battles, a preocupation with death..." Jonathan's psychologist brain had it's wheels spinning like crazy, "Tell me Vanessa, before you became a Spider, was there...Something that made you unhappy? That your artwork seems to dwell on ideas of anger and violence?"
Vanessa sighed "I was angry I didn't have any real life friends...All my classmates picked on me for being a Weirdo and only people online who lived miles away from me, said nice things about my Anime-inspired drawings."
Jonathan sighed "I see you and I are very similar..." He said "I...Also never had any friends when I was your age..."
"Nor did I..." Edward said softly realizing that the Spider Mutant was a kindred spirit.
"Seems us Weirdo can't catch a break..." Vanessa sighed
"Vanessa..." Jonathan said as he got closer to the giant Black Widow Mutant "You have genuine talent! This here is far better than what I could do at your age..."
So...Vanessa is a pit of a parody of how when I was in middle school I was kind of obbsesed with Anime mostly because of Yu-Gi-Oh! And it was the discovery of the 2003 TMNT show that saved me from my anime obsession when the show became more like the actual card game
