To say that Frankie was nervous was an understatement. The girl was possibly in much more serious trouble than before, she loved her parents very much and she knew more than anything that they were calm people though now. Frankie was very nervous and it was because of her father's expression that she slowly changed from shock to anger.
"El, hi mom. Hi dad." Frankie said nervously but suddenly the girl got scared when she could see smoke coming out of her father.
"Stay away from my daughter, you fucking punk!!" Viktor yelled before attacking me which made me quickly dodge the attacks with some difficulty due to the monster's huge arms.
"Dad, wait, don't hurt him!" Frankie cried out in concern but before she could stop her father, Viveka quickly grabbed her daughter's arm making the Stein girl not move.
"Frankie, go into the house and call the police." The woman said fearfully as she was holding a broom but that scared Frankie even more.
"What!? No mom, I'm serious. He didn't do anything to me, I know him!!" the girl yelled but she could only watch as Viktor was still trying to hit me and now her mother was trying to help her husband.
"Who do you think you are to do those things to my daughter, you damn criminal!?" Viktor yelled as the man kept throwing blows at me while I was still scared due to the monster's rage as I dodged as best as possible his attacks.
"Dad, he's not what you think he is!! I know him, he didn't do anything to me!!" Frankie yelled as the girl quickly grabbed her father's arm.
"Frankie what are you doing!? I told you to call the police!!." Viveka yelled in an authoritative tone while the woman was still trying to hit me.
"I won't, because he is. He is." Frankie was trying to find the right word but his mind was divided. On one hand, she considered me as one of her best friends but on the other hand. She was saying something else.
"He is what!?" Viktor yelled seriously making Frankie unable to contain him anymore.
"He is my boyfriend!!." The Stein girl shouted at the top of her lungs causing everything to remain in a deep silence.
My face and Frankie's slowly started to turn red from embarrassment as smoke billowed out of us. Our hearts were beating so fast that they seemed about to explode. I'm not lying, when she told me that I was her boyfriend. That made me feel. Good.
Viveka was practically petrified before dropping the broom she had, on the other hand Viktor. The man was fuming with anger, Frankie and I could clearly feel that it seemed like the Stein girl's statement had only angered the man.
"That he is you what!?" Viktor shouted with such anger that surely all the neighbors would have heard him very loudly.
In a secluded part of the city. In an old cemetery, a portal opened and from that portal slowly Van Hellscream and Waps came out accompanied by Mr. Freeze.
"Sir, Van Hellscream. Tell us, why exactly did you ask us to come to this place?" Waps asked curiously while the old monster hunter had a smile.
"Very simple my dear friend, very simple. You see, many monsters and humans currently live together in harmony but. Some monsters do not like this kind of friendship and prefer power, leadership and slavery more than friendship. And it is because that we are here." Van Hellscream said as the man stopped in the middle of the graveyard.
The sound of ancient tombs opening, the sound of something crawling, and groans were the only things to be heard in the place. The villains were now seeing a huge group of zombies rolling them in making Mr. Freeze ready his weapon and at that moment they saw someone in one of the graves.
The person seemed to be a gray-skinned girl, her hair was green to purple, her eyes were green. The girl smiled as she looked at the villains and slowly walked until she was a little closer to Waps and his friends.
"My sincerest apologies, miss but. You are, Moanica D'Kay. Right?" Van Hellscream asked with a smile as he looks at the girl.
"Who asks?" Moanica asked as she flashes her claws menacingly, but that didn't intimidate the villains.
"Let me introduce myself. My name is Van Hellscream, and these are my friends." Said the legendary monster hunter as he introduced Waps and Mr.freeze, but when Moanica heard that name he seemed to get angry.
"You dirty, disgusting human. You're the one responsible for humans doing this to us. How dare you disturb my graveyard?" Moanica asked coldly as the villains looked at the girl but also at the huge group of zombies around them.
"Don't worry, Moanica. We haven't come to fight with you, we're just here to give you a proposal that might interest you." Van Hellscream said with a calm smile but that made the zombie girl laugh.
"And you think I'm going to listen to words from the biggest scum in this world? Once you join my zombie army with your friends, I'll make sure this is a warning to any human that monsters aren't weak. " Moanica said with a smile as she snapped her fingers causing the zombies to attack.
"Oh well, I guess we'll just have to be a little rough. Umm, Mr.freeze?" Waps asked with a smile as he looks at the villain.
"It's time to turn down the temperature in this place." The villain said before attacking with his weapon causing Moanica to see with shock how his zombies were frozen one by one. The girl tried to escape from her but her legs were quickly frozen making her unable to leave.
"What the fuck is this!? What kind of people are you!?" Moanica yelled furiously as Van Hellscream calmly walked to where the girl was.
"Please Moanica, if we wanted to hurt you we would have done it already, and your pets wouldn't be on ice now. I just want to make you a proposal and that's it." Van Hellscream said with a smile but that only made the girl angry.
"What the fuck do you want from me?" Moanica asked coldly as the girl looked into the monster hunter's eyes.
"I understand that you have a huge grudge against us humans, after all we were very thoughtless and mean when we expelled all the monsters into the darkness and I know that you have not the slightest intention of making deals with living people, but maybe you can do an exception that may benefit you and your zombies."
"I understand that one night you attacked this graveyard with the help of your zombies a couple of years ago, and since then this place has become your territory. And I must admit that you have great skill when it comes to giving orders and making people zombies obey you without question, and that's why I want to give you this proposal."
"We are people who are looking for monsters or humans determined to change this world, and punish those who ruined our lives. You may like to hear this but we are interested in you and maybe, I don't know. Be a great ruler with us." Van Hellscream said with a smile causing Moanica to show a small smile.
"Well. What is your proposal?" Moanica asked with a smile making all the villains smile.
Frankie throughout his life did unique things. She traveled to many places in the world even back in time, she faced multiple enemies who tried to hurt her friends or destroy the world. But she was now in what the girl could describe as one of the most difficult times of her existence.
After the fight I had with Frankie's parents, we were now all inside the girl's house, but she and I were easily very scared and nervous due to Viktor's look and murderous aura while Viveka was looking at us seriously.
"Very well Frankie. Now explain to us, who is this guy? You never mentioned that you had a boyfriend before." Viveka said seriously as the woman served a few cups of tea to try to calm the atmosphere.
Frankie and I looked at each other worriedly as we didn't know what to say. No doubt now we were in serious, serious trouble. We did not expect this situation and we knew that we did not have enough time to create a story, but telling the truth was not a reliable option for both of us either.
"Well? Are they going to tell us? Or do we have to call the police?" Frankie's mom asked seriously making the Stein girl and I break out in a sweat.
"Frankie. I think, they should know." I said nervously while looking at the Stein girl.
"Benja, are you sure? We are talking about a very sensitive issue, I don't know if they can bear it." The girl said with concern but then we saw that Viktor seemed to be squeezing her cup angrily.
"What are they hiding? Is he a thief? A criminal? I hope it's not a pregnancy because it is." Viktor saw my face and Frankie's turn red as tomatoes and smoke came from us.
"Dad, I'm not pregnant!!" Frankie yelled in embarrassment as the girl released electricity from her bolts.
"Then speak and answer my question." Viveka said coldly making the Stein girl and I look at each other.
"Benja, are you sure you want to do this?" Frankie asked nervously making me put a hand on hers to try to calm her down.
"Please Frankie. You told me about your parents and you said they are very smart people, they might buy it." I said while looking at the girl. The Stein girl was very hesitant about my statement but she just sighed before nodding.
The hours passed. I told my story cover to cover to Frankie's parents. His expressions constantly changed to suspicion, confusion, seriousness, and sometimes expressions of surprise as Frankie also detailed my history with me, and so on until it was already midnight.
"And that's my story, I know it sounds impossible to believe but it's true." I said looking at Frankie's parents who had their arms crossed and one eyebrow raised.
"Let us see if we understood everything correctly. You say that you are a normie who died after defending a woman and her daughter, then reincarnated in a new world where heroes and giant monsters without the ability to reason destroy your city daily, have you metto your team and surprisingly they became your girlfriends."
"You also met some villains who did the same thing, then you lived thousands of adventures with them and faced shocking beings that can easily succumb to our planet in an eternal darkness and unimaginable torments."
"And suddenly one day you met a villain named Waps who can travel through time, and from one moment to the next you attacked his device and that's why you're here now, right?" Viveka asked seriously as she and Viktor waited for an answer.
"Yes. All of that is true." I said sheepishly but then I saw Viktor thinking but still wearing his serious expression.
"Young man. As far as I know, for years as a scientist we thought that there could be intelligent life in other parts of space even beyond our universe, however. That a person has the ability to be able to shape time and space, and that it now turns out that it can get in and out of our planet with absurd ease is interesting but also unbelievable."
"I can even say that I was interested in this kind of thing before but gave it up because it is a very difficult subject to understand and raises questions ranging from the absurd to the most difficult to answer even for someone above my intelligence and that of my wife. How can you guarantee that everything is true?" Viktor asked seriously.
At that moment everyone saw that I stood up and closed my eyes. Suddenly a blue fire covered my hair, my kitsune tails and ears while an electric aura covered my entire body.
"This is my fire magic and my lightning magic. Separated I can create strong spells, but if both come together. I can create more powerful spells." I said while my magic disappeared while Viktor and Viveka were shocked but then Frankie noticed that I looked at my hands with some concern which caught her attention.
"It can't be. That's it, impossible." Viveka said nervously but suddenly she saw how her husband ran quickly to where I was and began to analyze my body.
"This is a fascinating discovery. How did you manage to create the fire in your hair and in your tails? How can you produce electricity? Does your body generate that electricity as well as the fire in you? This certainly deserves to be studied in depth ." Viktor said with a smile but Frankie quickly grabbed my arm.
"Dad, no!!. I know what you mean deep down, and you're going to try to do surgery on Benja. He said it himself, it's magic!!." Frankie yelled in horror making me pale.
"Come on Frankie, this could be the discovery of the century. A person from another dimension, from different cultures than ours. This is something incredible." Viktor said but at that moment we all saw Viveka get up.
"Benja. Can you please go into the kitchen for a few minutes? I need to talk to Frankie and Viktor in private." The woman said with a bit of seriousness. I just nodded my head before going to the kitchen.
"Frankie. Call the police." Viveka's statement shocked the Stein girl.
"Mom no! He's not bad, he's good! He was with me all this time at school with my friends, he helped us on many occasions, he slept in my room." Frankie covered his mouth only to see Viktor get angry and Viveka very surprised.
"What do you mean he slept in your room? How long has he been here with us?" Viveka asked seriously making Frankie sigh.
"Just a few days ago." The Stein girl answered nervously which only caused her parents' annoyance.
"You brought a teenager to this house, when did I tell you that you can't even bring a monster to this house other than your friends?" Viktor asked seriously making Frankie nervous.
"I couldn't let Benja be left alone on the streets of New Salem in the cold. He did so many things for us and for the city that I couldn't let him be abandoned, he has no one and we are his only friends. Please don't kick him out, I promise he is someone very loyal and trustworthy." Frankie said as the girl clasped her hands together.
Viktor and Viveka looked at each other seriously. The two adults were very conscientious but above all they didn't trust much in this kind of thing, they knew of certain monsters with unique abilities and for them to hear that a monster has supernatural magical abilities was something impossible to understand.
"We'll talk about it tomorrow. It's already late, we'll let Benja stay here on the couch tonight and tomorrow we'll decide what to do with him." Viveka said with some seriousness which excited Frankie but Viktor quickly raised his hand before the Stein girl could speak.
"Don't get too excited now, Frankie. We're still upset that you brought in a complete stranger without our consent, your friend is staying tonight and we'll see what to do with him tomorrow. That's all." Viktor said seriously, which made the Stein girl tense.
"There are blankets in the closet for you to give your friend. Your father and I have to talk alone now, don't stay up late with him and don't do anything crazy." Víveka said seriously as the adults went to her room while Frankie was alone.
Frankie walked into the kitchen only to see that I was using my magic. First I made a small flame appear, then a flower, then I started to fly but when I tried to create ice with a small bubble of water, the Stein girl just watched as the water stayed the same before dropping the bubble into a glass.
"This is bad." I whispered under my breath in fear which got a lot of Frankie's attention causing the girl to quickly walk over to where I am.
"Benja, is everything okay? What's going on?" The Stein girl asked with concern causing me to look at the girl in fear.
"It's my magic, Frankie. Something is wrong, I can barely interact with my fire, ivy, wind, and water magic. But I can't interact perfectly with the rest of my magic." I said scared which horrified Frankie.
"Voltage but, a while ago you were able to create sparks all over your body. How is it possible that you can't interact with your electrical magic?" Frankie asked worriedly as the girl looked at me.
"That was a simple manifestation. When I did that I couldn't help but notice that I could barely create electricity with much difficulty, this is very bad." I said nervously making the girl take my hands.
"Benja, calm down. Tomorrow we'll talk to Ghoulia and see what happened to your magic. But I think now it would be better to rest, you calm down. Everything will be fine, you just need to relax." Frankie said as the girl led me into the living room.
"I can't Frankie. This is serious, if Waps finds out about this or Bane or Killer Croc they will all be in danger. I can't, I don't want to." Slowly my hair started to catch fire but Frankie quickly grabbed my hands and made me look her in the eye.
"Benja, look at me!! Listen, I know you're scared but you don't have to be scared. Things will get better, you just need to let this be a hero for a while and together we'll figure out a way to get your magic back to normal." Frankie said with a smile but I was still worried.
"But Frankie." I tried to keep talking but the girl put a finger to my lips to make me stop talking.
"Benja. If Waps or some Gotham villain returns, then we're all going to help you. You can still be a hero with your little magic, but we'll always help you in case something worse happens. However, I think what you need is a day where you are not a hero." Frankie said with a smile making me scratch my arm sheepishly.
"I don't know, Frankie. What if there's a robbery or worse?" I asked with concern making the girl laugh a little.
"Are you forgetting something? Since you arrived the streets have become quiet, too. If something bad happens, I'm sure the cops will be able to take care of it." The Stein girl said with a smile.
"Just think about it, Benja. You've been a hero for a long time and you almost forgot what's important in the life of a teenager, the fun. Haven't you ever wondered that it would be relaxing to at least relax your mind and do something other than just catch someone villains?" The girl asked with a smile.
At that time I stopped to think about everything for a moment. In the metropolis there were constantly attacks from huge monsters or villains, very few times I was able to go to a concert, or go to the fair. However, my work on Sweet Justice and my training hardly allowed me to think about anything other than being a hero.
"Well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to not be a hero for at least a day." I said with a shy smile making the girl smile widely.
"In that case we'll have a date tomorrow." Frankie said with a smile but then our faces slowly turned red as tomatoes as smoke billowed out of our bodies.
"O-One, d-date. Tomorrow?" I asked nervously while my heart was beating like crazy.
"Well, umm hehehe this me. If you don't want to, then umm." Frankie was completely flustered but I quickly took her hands.
"No!!. Umm, me. Yes, I do want to go out with you tomorrow." I said nervously making the Stein girl very surprised but internally happy at the same time.
"Hehehe, umm okay. I'll go to my room, umm. See you tomorrow, honey. I mean, umm." Frankie then quickly went up to his room while I slowly released smoke. My kitsune tails began to wag in delight as my hair completely caught fire.
When Frankie got to her room she immediately ran to her bed and started screaming into her pillow before turning over and over on her bed as the girl's face turned red with embarrassment.
"A date. A date!!? What a great idea Frankie, ask Benja out on a date so he can calm down, you're definitely a genius!!" Frankie yelled in embarrassment as the girl was releasing sparks from her neck.
"Oh voltage this is bad, it's bad. Now what am I going to do?" The Stein girl asked nervously but then she saw a pile of magazines on her nightstand.
"I can't call the girls. I don't want them to know about this, maybe this will help me a bit." Frankie said before starting to go through her magazines.
The night continued quietly until dawn. I was sleeping peacefully on the couch until I smelled a scent that slowly woke me up before I sat on the couch and started scratching my eyes.
"Ugh, useless device. Give me my toast already!!" I turned around only to see Viktor having a fight with the toaster.
"Ugh, ridiculous disgusting device. If only I could make some modifications to you, better calibrate your mechanism or even improve this outdated design." Viktor said with annoyance but then the monster heard Frankie's laugh making him turn around to see the Stein girl.
"Dad. You forgot to turn the knob down." The girl said before activating the toaster as Frankie walked to the table while Viktor just grumbled as the man sat down at the table to get a cup of coffee.
"I see you're already awake." I turned around only to see Viveka coming down the stairs with dirty clothes.
"Oh yes. Umm, good morning Miss Stein." I said as I stretch a bit as the woman walked over to where I was and sat on a chair across from me.
"I spoke with Viktor last night and we have both come to a conclusion." Viveka's statement caught my attention and she made me sit on the couch.
"We'll let you stay here for a while until our daughter's friend's father is no longer in New Salem. But while you're here, you'll help me clean the dishes and keep the house tidy. But most of all, don't make him I hurt my daughter with those workouts you talked about yesterday." Viveka said seriously making me smile.
"Don't worry Miss Stein, I assure you nothing bad will happen to Frankie." I said with a smile but at that moment we heard the noise of some tools and saw Viktor examining a blender.
"Viktor. What have we talked about modifying the appliances?" Frankie's mother asked seriously as Frankie laughed a little.
"Ugh, don't do it. But, honey. How can I make this thing give me the juice I want?" Viktor asked angrily but then he saw Frankie press some buttons on the blender to show the monster how the appliance works.
"Yes. That's Viktor, he may be the smartest man in this house but he has a lot of trouble with appliances." Viveka said with a smile as the two of us walked to the table.
"Ugh, whatever. I still think I should improve the potency of this thing, it takes a long time to liquefy the fruit." Viktor said with a bit of anger as the monster sat down at the table before helping himself to some cereal.
"How do you see that you "improved" our washing machine? When I tried to get it to work, the house seemed like a perfect recreation of the streets of Venice." Viveka said seriously making Frankie laugh but Viktor just rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. Changing the subject. Benja, right? You said you use magic, can you do a little demo?" Viktor asked as the monster looked at me.
"I guess." At that moment I closed my eyes and my hair glowed in a mint green tone before opening my eyes showing that they were also the same color, after that I raised my arms and suddenly my arms were covered by vines while my hair and on the flowers appeared in the palm of my hands.
"This is my ivy magic. I have the ability to communicate with nature and create my own plants with the ability to shoot thorns, they are even capable of creating a gas capable of putting enemies to sleep or healing my friends." I said while looking at Viktor, the monster seemed to write everything down on a piece of paper.
"It's impressive. And how effective is the healing?" Viveka asked curiously as did Frankie.
"That may depend on the magic I use on the plant. If I use a large amount of magic I can heal the entire school, while a small portion will heal one person. The gas is effective on any minor injury or illness, however I need to get better at my ivy magic if I want the healing to be much faster." I said while looking at Viveka.
"Incredible, simply incredible. I'm more than sure that with that gas it would be a very effective way to heal people, it's incredible." Viktor said with surprise.
"Thanks Viktor, that's good to hear." I said smiling but then I noticed that Viveka looked at the time.
"We'd better use our time for breakfast, darling. We have a lot to do today." The woman said as we all started to eat breakfast.
The minutes passed but to be honest, Frankie and I were a little nervous because every time she and I looked at each other and smiled sheepishly, Viktor always looked at us coldly which made both of us nervous.
"Alright. We're going to be back late, you have money on the table, the emergency numbers are on the fridge and remember to have your Icoffins on at all times." Viveka said seriously as Viktor came down the stairs with a briefcase.
"Very well, before we go I don't want any mess, I don't want anything broken and above all. I don't want anything, but no raunchy things in this house." The man said seriously making both Frankie and I blush.
"Dad please don't fix that. I promise Benja and I are going to be on our best behavior." The Stein girl said with a shy smile as Viktor gave me a cold look before leaving the house.
"See you guys later. Take good care of yourselves." Viveka said before walking off leaving me and Frankie alone.
Frankie and I were still standing in the doorway with a huge blush. In our minds we couldn't forget what happened yesterday and now what Viktor said only increased our nerves.
"Frankie, relax. You're just alone, with Benja, without anyone looking at you, alone, the two of you, together, mom and dad will be back very late." Frankie tried to think of something but every thing she said, the girl couldn't help but think or imagine some romantic moment.
Frankie's imagination.
"Well, Frankie. Looks like we'll be alone for a couple of hours." I said as my vines locked the door and curtains to the house.
"Umm, Benja what are you doing? Wow!!" Frankie was very surprised when my vines picked her up and laid her down on the couch while I walked up to her.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm right now with the cutest and most attractive monster girl I've ever seen in my life." I said smiling as my kitsune tails wiggled into the shape of a heart.
"Oh hehe, that's very nice of you Benja. But, umm. Oh, voltage this is so sudden and nothing in my magazines says what to do in this kind of situation." The girl said nervously but before she could check one of her magazines, I grabbed it and threw it away while a smile appeared on me.
"Don't be scared, darling. And let your little fox give you some love." I said smiling as I slowly approach Frankie.
"Frankie, are you okay?" I asked with concern because the girl had a silly smile on her face, her nose was bleeding and her neck kept sparking.
"Eh?. Oh, hehe. Umm, yes I'm fine." Frankie said shyly as the girl scratched her arm nervously.
"Oh well, ummm. Frankie, me. Since we're alone, erm. Do you want to go on that date now?" I asked nervously as I scratch my arm making the Stein girl red with embarrassment.
"Yeah!!! Ahem, that is. I'd love to, I'll be right back." Frankie would quickly run into his room before jumping onto his bed and screaming into his pillow.
"It can't be!!. Benja, me. On a date, today!!." Frankie began to roll over on the bed as the girl squealed in delight before calming down.
"Calm down Frankie, calm down. Oh voltage, I need to know what to do. What if Benja doesn't like the things we'll do? What if he doesn't like going out with me? My clothes are a mess!?." Frankie quickly ran to his closet and started going through all of her clothes to find something perfect.
"Come on, come on. There must be something I can wear!!" Frankie started to try on different types of clothes and different dresses but the girl at that moment screamed before throwing all her clothes away.
"Calm down Frankie, calm down. Ugh, I need help." The Stein girl looked at her cell phone for a moment but then she saw her magazine.
"I should call the girls, but. I think maybe I can find the answer I need in this." the girl said before she started going through her magazines.
"Tips for a scary date. Very often, guys are captivated and mesmerized when a girl dresses in a creepy way." At that time, Frankie went through all of her closet, but then it came to my mind when I accidentally saw Clawdeen's breasts, the Stein girl would be upset, but then she looked in her drawers.
The minutes passed. Frankie was constantly reading her magazine and getting ready, every detail for the girl had to be perfect. I was finishing up some dishes and laundry and then sitting on the couch.
"I can't believe my magic has changed. "I wanted to look good for our first date, do you like it honey?" Frankie asked as the girl flashed a flirtatious smile making me nervous.
"I really like her, Frankie. I think you look great." I said shyly making the girl laugh a bit before walking over to where I was.
"How cute you are, Benja. Come on, we have to have fun." Frankie said as the girl walked to the front door as she rocked her hips causing my face to turn even redder.
The moment Frankie left the house the girl wanted to scream out of embarrassment as her face turned red with embarrassment.
"Voltage, I can't believe it!! Come on Frankie, calm down you can. Just remember what the magazine says." Frankie said as she took one of his magazines out of her bag.
"If you want a boy to stay attached to you, you have to show an attractive and fierce character to captivate him. Remember, a scary appearance will keep your boy with you and he will stay away from the other monsters." Frankie quickly put his magazine away as I left the house.
"Well, umm Frankie. Where do you want to go?" I asked shyly making the girl laugh a little.
"Don't worry darling, let this girl guide you around the dance floor. Just stick with me, and the fun will never end." Frankie said in a flirtatious tone before hugging my arm causing me to fume at the feel of the girl's breasts.
Slowly the two of us left while chatting about what to do but we never noticed that someone was looking at the city of New Salem from afar with a smile.
"Get ready, my dear Zomboys. Tonight, we are going to show those humans that we monsters are not weak." Moanica said with a smile as the girl began to laugh just like the zombies.
